It felt like hours past since Alan talked to me. My eyes started drooping and I knew I couldn't stay up any longer.
"Psst. Alan," I whispered. He sleep moaned signifying he could hear me but was still not all there.
"Alannnnnnnn," I whisper yelled.
"What?" He mumbled with an attitude since I am disturbing his precious sleep.
"Wake up," I crawled over to him.
"Why? So you can stare and blush at me more while thinking I don't?" He replied. Well, as if my face wasn't red enough. I should be more careful but within that thought, a streak of confidence went through me.0 I was behind him but I leaned over his shoulder to whisper in ear.
"Well, maybe if you weren't so irresistible," I seductively whispered and kissed his neck. It was enough to wake him up and turn towards me. He was just about to lean and kiss me but I put my hand up in front of his face. He looked at me and I knew he felt rejected.

"Nuh uh. Maybe later after you stay up for guard watch," I said. He wasn't getting it that easily. He crawled off the floor bed and went to where the unofficial official spot to guard, which was the corner next to the door.
"I'll get you back," he whispered. I just smiled and drifted into sleep.

Our two days, that we decided was all the time we had left here, had passed and it was time for us to leave the shitty hotel that I became thankful for. As we were packing our things back in my Hummer, I was talking to Alan about some shenanigans while we waited for Kellin and Vic to get the blankets and pillows.

"So, how are you going to get me back?" I asked Alan.
He just smirked at.
"I guess you'll have to find out," he said, while walking away. Well, I hope it's definitely something good. Kellin and Vic put all the blankets in the front and back of the car so when we sleep at night we could be comfortable.

It was late at night and I was up guarding again. All I could do is think about Alex. We did have sex once it didn't mean anything but that doesn't stop me from missing him. He was the one I was closest to out of the four of us. Alan kind of took his place, so maybe we could be close too. I mean, so far it seems as if we are getting close. I looked over to my right and just observed Alan while he was snoring his barely noticeable but cute snore. He had very kissable lips and his eyelashes rested on his cheeks since they were closed. His hair swept across his forehead and he was facing me. I suppose you could say I have a little crush growing. He started to shift and I quickly looked out the window.
"Mmuhh, Austin?" Alan whispered. He pushed my arm and I looked at him.
"Yeah?" I whispered back. Alan just put his head back down and went back to sleep, facing the opposite way. I just started giggling to myself because I realized that he was sleep talking. Does that mean he was dreaming of me?
I heard grunting in the backseat. Um?
"Eh, Austin. You want me to take over now?" Vic said in his I-just-woke-up voice.
"If you want?" He answered with an "eh" and so I took some of Alan's blanket over by me and dozed off.

I woke up with the Hummer shaking and the suns warmth carressing my face. I looked to see why my vehicle was shaking. As soon as I looked in the back, I saw that there were two of the dead trying to make their way in. Hell no. I turned the ignition on and sped off.
"Hey, why the hell are you speeding?" Kellin asked in mid yawn.
"Oh, uh, we almost got eaten. No biggie," I replied with obvious sarcasm in my response.
"Wow, you don't have to be a dick," he scoffed.
"Kells, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to come out like that," he nodded at my apology, letting me know he accepted it. I got back to a normal speed and Kellin scooted up past a sleeping Vic to stick his head up front.
"So, you make any progress with him?" I felt my cheeks warm up.
"I don't know," I barely could keep my smile from showing. Kellin bit his lip and looked back at Vic.
"So, you do like him?"
I giggled, slightly. "I guess you could say that."

ALAN POV
I woke up but faked being asleep when I heard Kellin talking about progress with someone. I'm nosey. What can I say? I finally realized they were talking about me when Austin kind of admitted he liked me. I had to keep a smile from slipping on my face and blowing my cover. I kept listening.
"Do you think he kind of likes you back?" Uh yes.
"I don't know. We have flirted but that could just be him," Austin replied. You could say it's both, if you must know
"Yeah, well make a-" I pretended to stir and stretched.
"You could make a what?" I asked.
"Nothing," Austin was quick to reply.
"You could make a left is what I was telling Austin," Kellin shot him a look.
"Yeah but I'm not going to."
"Um, okay," I responded.
"Mmm. Morning," Vic said, in a voice way too cheerful for just waking up.
