Author's Notes: Hey y'all! Sorry for the wait. I had to write a myth for Language Arts and me and my friends came up with the idea of Why Roses Aren't Blue. If you're interested in it, I can PM it to you. Anyway, that myth has been taking up my time but I finished it today so I wanted to give you a chapter. Short or not, it's still a chapter. Also, I went to my friend's birthday party yesterday.
Explanation (for zammie4ever): Nothing happened to Bex and Macey. They were sedated and locked in the bathroom, but Cammie had no time to get up and look!
Characters (in this chapter): Cammie, Bex, Macey, Liz, Zach, Dr. Steve
As usual, read the bottom A/N.
Enjoy the chapter!
We were finally going to save Zach! Whoopee! I was so excited. My excitement was cut short when I saw an employee looking at me strangely. I giggled nervously and dragged Bex and Macey out of Hot Topic. "Can we go to Versace Jeans lat-" Macey started. "No!" Bex cut her off. "Can't you just go when you get back to Paris?" I asked. It was the city of fashion. "I forgot to ask, what did you tell your parents?" I continued. Bex said," The truth." Macey shrugged,"I told them that you were going on vacation here and that you invited me." I was surprised that she was so rich that her parents didn't notice the extra cost of the plane tickets and hotel reservation. I started walking along, Bex and Macey at my side.
We finally arrived at Liz's coordinates. My purse held his anniversary present. Bex got out her lock picks kit and chose an appropriate one to open the door that seemingly led into a cave. She opened it in about thirty seconds. We walked lightly. Lucky Macey isn't wearing heels or something. We crawled into the ventilation system. Liz had mailed us new tech: a holographic computer (holo-comp). We asked her to send us a video feed of the entire cave. She obliged, and we were watching them. We typed in the coordinates, and the comp gave us directions. We were there in four minutes. As we were about to walk in, Dr. Steve appeared and was about to inject Zach with something. I used a grappling hook with a test tube on the edge to get a sample of the liquid before he injected it. I poured a few drops into the scanner. Dr. Steve inserted the needle in Zach's neck as the computer finished analyzing the sample. Two words flashed up: sodium pentothal. I reached for a small boomerang as Dr. Steve's finger got close to the syringe. I threw the boomerang (as a makeshift Batarang) in the nick of time, and Dr. Steve dropped it as the boomerang hit his wrist. Dr. Steve must have bad reflexes, as he shrugged it off and went to pick it up before realizing that the drug was spilled. He face-palmed before walking out, presumably to get another dose and syringe. I was NOT going to let truth serum into my boyfriend's bloodstream, so we rappelled in. Zach was surprised, but he smiled a real smile (not a smirk). I gave him a big hug. He returned it. "Now is not the time for PDA," Bex interrupted. I smiled and locked the door by changing the password. Macey asked,"So... does this mean we have to leave today?" "No," I answered,"we can leave tomorrow."
Cammie: Liz!
Liz: You want me to disable the security cams, right?
Bex: Exactly.
Liz: No problemo. *LOUD CRASH* Oopsie daisy!
Macey: *facepalm*
Author's Notes: I know that was kind of short, but a chapter is a chapter! In the next chapter, Macey takes Zach shopping and Zach tells the whole story of what happened. I have a good idea. Anyway's always, always, always, review!
