GUESS WHAT GUESS WHAT I'M GOING TO A HUNTER HAYES CONCERT TOMORROW! YOU'RE JEALOUS, AREN'T YOU? OF COURSE, YOU ARE!
Disclaimer: I am not a freaking amazing/evil author/troll, so I don't own PJO. Sorry to disappoint. (Hey, guys, only ten months til Blood of Olympus… Yeah!)
I ran back to the Big House after saying a quick thanks to Rachel.
I found just Percy, Chiron, and Grover in the rec room now. Looks like Chiron had already finished the game. I recited the prophecy for them.
"They took two, not one?" Grover said, eyebrows scrunched together. "There's Thalia, but who else?"
"None of the campers are missing," Percy pointed out, rather quickly.
"No other Hunters, because Artemis would've mentioned that…" Chiron muttered. "And if it were a god, we would've gotten word from them."
"Could be a satyr. Or a monster," Grover said. Percy raised his hand kinda low. "Um, satyrs are monsters, technically." Grover raised an eyebrow. "I meant an evil monster. Not a peaceful dashing one." He smoothed his curly hair back. I rolled my eyes, "Oh, then would you mean Tyson?"
Percy looked a little confused. (Normal, but still.) Then he covered up by laughing. I glanced at him, as did Chiron. There was something weird going on with Percy, and I was going to find out what it was.
"Hey!" Grover said indignantly, making me laugh again.
"Alright, alright, back to the prophecy. We have to figure out where you'll be going. Where wisdom's daughter fell..."
Everyone looked at me. "Technically, Annabeth, you've fallen twice," Grover pointed out. "At Westover Hall and into Tartarus."
"It doesn't necessarily have to be me," I said.
"But let's face it, it probably is," Grover said.
"Okay... Well, I believe we should try Westover Hall first. I'd much rather go there than Tartarus." Percy nodded in agreement.
"Okay," Chiron said. "But then it says 'With knowledge of the exchange."
"Yeah, they took Thalia, right?" Percy said, squirming in his seat. I noticed this, but shrugged it off. I looked at him, "That's not an exchange, Seaweed Brain. That's just taking someone. They've traded something. Or they will. Don't know which."
Grover gasped. "Annabeth doesn't know something?" I rolled my eyes. "Shut up. Though I hate to say it, I don't know a lot of things." He just shrugged.
I looked over to Chiron. He was looking at Percy closely. I looked to him as well. His eyes were still cloudy, which bugged me. A lot.
"What?" He asked. I shook my head. "Nothing, nothing."
"Wait," Grover said, "Thalia's running from the spawn of the sea kingdom?" Everyone looked at Percy. Then he said sarcastically, "Yeah, she's totally running from me. Come on, guys. I'm right here."
I nodded, "You're right. Whatever, I guess we'll figure it out while on the quest."
"Alright," Chiron said, "Well, all of you pack up. Make sure to get some ambrosia. I'll have Argus drive you over to the school." We nodded then went off in separate directions.
An hour later, I headed to Half-Blood Hill, with my stuff. I saw Grover and Percy standing by Thalia's tree. I smirked and put on my Yankees cap. I snuck up behind Percy. I then jumped onto his back, and he shrieked. I got off of him, laughing my head off.
I took the cap off. He looked surprised by the hat, as if he'd never seen it before. He glared at me. "Don't ever do that again!" he exclaimed. "Scared the hades out of me!" I just grinned. "That was my intention." He stuck his tongue out at me, so I did the same back.
Grover rolled his eyes. "Oh, I guess we're twelve years old again." I laughed then ran down the hill to where Argus and the strawberry truck were waiting. I hopped in, and the boys followed me.
"Ready to save old Pinecone Face?" Grover said. Percy and I nodded, and Argus drove us off.
Probably the shortest chapter ever written, but *shrugs* Oh, well.
