Marinette stood in front of her mirror in nothing but a bra and underwear. She looked at the bruises that trailed up and down her body. Without Chat Noir to have her back, she had taken quite the beating as Ladybug. The biggest was the one she received from Color Guard. The stick had left a dark purple bruise in the center of her stomach. Tikki eyed her nervously.

"Mariette..."

"I'm fine Tikki."

"No Marinette, your not." The little kwami followed Marinette around the room as she got dressed for her day. "You need to talk to Chat Noir, of temporarily take out another miraculous from Master Fu. You cant keep taking these hits."

"Chat Noir will be back soon. It's only been 2 weeks. There is no need to bring out another miraculous." Marinette said, applying concealer under her eyes. Ever since Chat went on his break she had been needing it a lot more. Without the makeup, she looked dead and hollow. At least with the makeup, she pulled off a semi-alive tired teenager.

"Marinette you're going to be late!" Her mother called from downstairs.

The bluenette slipped on her purse, allowed Tikki to fly in and went downstairs.

Marinette arrived at school early for the first time since she became Ladybug. Alya wasn't in school today so Marinette sat in her seat and started doodling some designs. She was zoned out as her pencil glided across the page. It was the most at peace she had felt in a while. But everything good must come to an end. Chloe and Lila burst into the room mid-argument.

"You're a liar and you will always be!"

"I have changed for the better you just can't accept that once again your the worst in this place!"

"Ladybug trusted me enough to be a superhero with her!"

"WHO CARES ABOUT LADYBUG?!" Lila screeched.

Ouch. Marinette thought to herself. A few people in the classes gasped at the comment.

"How do you not like ladybug?' "What did she ever do?" "That's rude" "She saves Paris every day" "She saved you from behind Volpina!"

Lila frowned at that last comment. "Maybe I sill want to be Volpina."

And with that, she left the classroom.

But what everyone was to busy talking to see,

What the purple butterfly that fluttered after her.

I didn't die and I am still updating this book. Slowly.
