The next morning Starr woke with a groan. It was way too early for her to be up after her late night study session . But there she found herself climbing out of bed before the sun had even begun to peek. She had a few head girl duties to attend before the rest of the student body was up and about. What she wasn't looking forward too was having to work with Snape. After last year's fiasco, she was sure he was going to be wanting a bit of payback. She sighed heavily as she pulled her long black hair into a pony tail. Something she rarely did. She had always left her hair down. She put her clothes on and quickly headed down to the dungeon to the potion master's office.

"You are late Miss Black." Snape said as the girl entered. His back to her.

"Sorry Professor. I had gone on prefect duty with Hermione and Draco last night to keep the peace." Starr said finishing with a long drawn out yawn. Snape turned to face her and froze. His eyes wide in a look of horror. Starr turned expecting to see some one else walking up behind her, but the room was empty except for the two of them. When she turned back Snape had his usual scowl back on his face.

"Something wrong Professor?" Starr asked.

Snape was a bit surprised by the sound of concern in her voice and sighed heavily. "You look different with your hair up. Less like your father. More like…"

Something in Snape's eyes changed but the moment Starr saw it, it was gone. She sighed heavily and shook her head.

"No one has ever told me I look like her." Starr admitted. "Just that I have her eyes. Sadly I wish I didn't."

"You possess her powers as well I have heard." Snape said and Starr nodded. Before Starr could react Snape walked around his desk and placed his hands on her shoulders. He looked deep in to her eyes and shook his head. "You need to learn how to block people from seeing into your mind Starr. Do you hear me? Your power is dangerous to you."

"I'm not worried about blocking people. I let my guard down at Hogwarts is all." Starr said then looked sadly up at her professor. "Is there a potion that can stop dreams?"

Snape dropped his hands and looked at the girl carefully. He wasn't sure why the girl seemed so calm around him. It was well known of the girl's out burst the year before. Something Snape wasn't going to forgive any time soon. But there was a pleading in her eyes that he couldn't get past.

"Seer dreams?"

Starr quickly took a step back and shook her head. "I shouldn't have brought it up."

Snape leaned against his desk and crossed his arms. "If you are having seer dreams Miss Black, maybe Professor Dumbledore should be made aware. Or perhaps the Order."

Starr bit her lower lip and looks away.

"The Order knows."

Snape took the girl in. He could tell she didn't trust him. Most of the Order didn't. "I can help you with a potion. Even though Professor Slughorn would be more help to you in that area. you need to learn how to control your eyes. Control the seer in you. If you don't I can't help."

Starr looked at the man in surprise. "Why help me?"

"I'm your teacher." Snape replied drawing out his words. "It is my job to teach you."

"Thank you Professor." Starr said with a heavy sigh. She looked up at the chalk board behind his desk. The writing looked familiar. She slowly moved around the desk and touched the writing with delicate fingers. She turned to Snape in surprise. "You knew!"

"I know a lot Miss Black." Snape said calmly. "You are going to have to be a bit more specific."

"My mother. You knew she was Mez." Starr said angrily. "You knew my mother was an animegus. You where the one that gave me the collar last year. Why didn't you tell me?"

Snape looked at the girl. A touch of sadness in his eyes. "I couldn't with out killing you."

Starr looked down at her hands. "Have you seen her? You two must have been close. No one else knew."

Snape shook his head. "No one has seen her since the Ministry. I knew, because I was there when she transformed. Now you have made us quite late."

Starr could sense that Snape was in no mood to talk more on the subject and she didn't want to push her luck with pushing the subject. She needed him to help her stop her dreams. She had used a silencing charm on her bed that night just in case. Luckily George's shirt had worked and the dreams stayed away. But there was always the chance that she would be to tired to perform the silence charm or she might fall asleep away from her bed. So Starr just nodded and followed Snape into the hallways of Hogwarts and kept herself silent on their morning rounds.

By the time they where done, students where making their way to the Great Hall for breakfast.

"Come to my office tonight after your last class." Snape said as he walked past her into the Great Hall. He paused for a second to eye some one standing behind Starr before he went his way to the front table. Starr turned and smiled to see Draco.

"Morning sunshine." Starr said with a smirk. "I do believe we need to have a small chat."

Draco took a hold of her arm and drug her into a broom closet. The same broom closet Ginny had taken her where Lee had confronted her the year before. The same broom closet that George had come to her rescue. The same broom closet that had started everything. She looked around the closet sadly before her eyes settled on Draco. He didn't even seem to notice the affect the closet had on her.

"When I said we needed to have a little chat, I didn't exactly mean…" Starr started but Draco quickly cut her off.

"You can't trust him." Draco said crossing his arms and shaking his head. "Whatever you do Starr. Don't trust Snape."

Starr crossed her arms as well and glared her cousin down. "Why shouldn't I trust him Draco? You always have before."

"Things change."

"Talk to me Draco." Starr said concerned. He shook his head at her and started to walk away but she reached out and grabbed his arm. "Don't do this Draco. You are better than whatever it is you think you have to do. You surprised Hermione. Think about it Draco. Think of what you could become."

"What the hell do you think I could become?" Draco sneered. "I'm a Malfoy."

"And I'm a Black." Starr said with a shrug. "Raised by your Malfoy parents."

"So I guess you have changed your mind?" Draco asked raising his eyebrows at her. "I thought you believed in the same thing."

Starr looked down at her feet and bit her lower lip. "I don't know what I believe any more. I know more than you ever will Draco. And one thing I do know. More than anything else. Is you are nothing like your father. You are so much better than him."

"You know nothing of my father." Draco growled.

Starr stepped up to him, her eyes narrowed her lips perched. "Don't forget who I am Draco Malfoy."

Starr dropped her hand then looked around the closet one last time. "I hate this closet."

Starr walked out and slammed the door shut behind her as she made her way to the Gryffindor table. She spotted Harry and the others right away and quickly went to sit down with them.

"Where have you been?" Harry asked as Starr sat down between him and Seamus.

"Fighting with my idiotic cousin." Starr growled. "If you ever make a dumb choice and think I'm getting you out of it cause I'm head girl… Ok so I'd probably get you off. But don't push your luck."

Seamus laughed and placed a kiss on Starr's cheek. She smiled and turned towards him. "Morning to you too."

Starr placed a kiss on the end of his nose causing him to blush.

"Makes me want to puke." Pansy said loudly from the Slytherin table. "No one wants to see her make out with her horrible taste in boys."

"At least she can get a boyfriend Pansy." Draco said joining the Slytherin table. "I'm highly annoyed already today. Try not to make it worse by opening your mouth and talking."

"Excuse me?" Pansy asked in disbelief.

"You heard me Pansy." Draco said with a roll of his eyes. "I find your voice highly annoying today."

Seamus gave Starr an odd look and leaned in to whisper in her ear. "Is that his way of sticking up for you?"

Starr shrugged. "He's a Slytherin. Who knows."

Starr's first class that morning was divination. A class the boys found silly that she took. Teasing her that she should be teaching the class instead of taking it. She actually found the class a bit boring considering she could in fact do most of the things being taught.

She took a seat at a table with Seamus and Dean. Harry and Ron sitting at a table next to them and to her annoyance Draco and Pansy sat at a table behind them. Pansy was actually listening to Draco and hasn't uttered a word since he had snapped at her at breakfast.

"So tell me Starr, what do you see in the crystal ball today?" Seamus said with a smirk. "Tell me my future? Will I marry a beautiful blonde? Have a load of kids?"

Starr smirked and slowly moved her hand over the crystal ball. She took a deep breath and exhaled as a few images flashed through her head and also showed a few glimpses of it in the crystal ball it's self. The first image was of her kissing him on the cheek and telling him goodbye breaking his heart. The next showed him standing in front of a burning bridge that looked a lot like the one on the Hogwarts grounds.

"A break up and a fire." Seamus said smiling at her. "I could have told you that."

"Hey now." Starr said with a giggle. "Don't second guess my talents."

"Never would." Seamus said as he took hold of her hand. Starr smiled over at him and placed her head on his shoulder. "I apologize about the break up in advance."

Seamus chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Don't be. We. Both know it will happen eventually. I'm just enjoying the moments I have."

Professor Trelawney entered the class room with her normal over dramatics and almost tripped over her chair as she attempted to twirl around it. Seamus snickered into his hand and Starr quickly elbowed him in the side and gave him a Stern look.

"The art of palm reading is a skill that any witch or wizard can possess. But only a true opened soul can perfect the art. Take the hand of the person to your right."

Starr smirked at Seamus. He was still holding on to her hand. So he would be reading her palm. "Now tell them what you see."

Seamus gave Starr a playful wink. "I see a big wedding, many kids and one hell of a wedding night."

"Mr. Malfoy? Is there a reason you are choosing not to participate in today's class?"

Starr turned to look back at him. He was leaning back in his chair with a look of boredom on his face. Starr rolled her eyes and held out her hand to him. He glared at her for a moment before he gave in and let her see his hand. Starr took his hand in her left and ran her hand down his palm with her right. The moment she looked down at his palm she gasped and pulled away.

"What is it Miss Black?"

"Uh I saw something no cousin should ever see." Starr replied. Draco and Harry knew at once that she was lying. She looked a bit frightened and was refusing to look back at Draco. "You dirty dirty boy you."

The class snickered into their hands letting their imaginations go wild. Starr put her head in her hands and slowly started to rub her temples.

"Professor. I suddenly have a horrible headache. Do you mind if I head for the infirmary?"

"Go." Trelawney said waving her hands in the air. "True seer power can come with a painful cost my dear girl."

Starr rolled her eyes and quickly got out of the class room. Leaving behind her books. She didn't get far before she heard some one following after her. She stopped for a moment and let him catch up. He hesitantly handed her books back to her and she turned on him. Looking deep into his eyes with so much anger he took a step back from her.

"You had better be thinking about what your planning on doing Draco." Starr growled at him. "You can't come back from what I saw in your palm. I think it's better if you keep your distance till you sort things out. I may end up killing you myself."

Starr turned on her heals and walked away from her cousin. She saw the pain in his eyes and could tell he wanted to explain. But there was no way she was going to let him. She needed to get as far away from him as she could. What surprised her, is where she found herself. Her feet hadn't lead her to the her dorm, where she had all intentions of heading too. No it lead her straight into professor Snape's class room. Just like the year before, she had stormed in and interrupted his class. But when he saw the look on her face, he couldn't make himself scold her like he knew he should. Something in her eyes told him she needed his help.

"My office Miss Black. I'll deal with you after class." Snape growled at her. His eyes then lightened their harsh glare as he nodded towards his office door. Starr bowed her head and headed for his office. The class where in a fit of hushed whispers, most knowing of her out burst before. Starr entered the office and sat down in his office chair. She knew Snape wouldn't be to happy to see her in his chair, but she didn't really care.
