After being in math for the last 55 minutes, I finally have another class with Fang. As I walk to my next class, I ran into Nudge (literally). Talk about embarrassing.

Nudge was very pissed off and practically yelled, "Ewww! Stay away from me, freak, or you'll have something bad coming your way,"

Quickly I relied, "Something bad already did come my way: you." It felt so good to say that. I have kind of hated her forever. That perky "I'm better than everyone" attitude has gotten on my nerves ever since I found this me: the nerdy me.

True. I used to be like her all the time. And I did use this personality as a cover for me, but I could never treat everyone like that all the time. Some people just mean too much to me.

Anyway, after the disaster with Nudge, I hurried off to home economics. On my way to class, all I could do was think about seeing him face, wanting so badly for him wrap his strong arms around me.

I arrived at the room right before the bell rung and took my seat. "Cutting it close now aren't we?" Fang said.

I stuck out my tongue at him and said, "The closer, the better," all but too confidently as I almost fell off my stool.

"Smooth," Fang replied.

As the class starts our teacher explains to us that this unit would not be on cooking as most would think, but our unit would actually, wait for it, family planning. And our partners would be the person sitting next to us. Except Fang, he's got two partners, Maya and Max, because I, Miracle, would only be there on Tuesday and Thursday, and I, Max, will be here only on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This was going to be hilarious.

"How do you feel now that we get to raise a family?" I said in a bit of a mocking tone.

"Hey, don't forget about the other mom. This is a team effort," Fang said a bit overly dramatic.

I laughed at him, "Oh, shut up! You should be glad have me as the mother of your child," I loved this. It was fun just being with him, just talking to him made me feel safe and complete.

"Psst…," he said trying to get my attention while the teacher was talking, "Do you think you could get away from your mom long enough for me to take you on a date?"

"Who: Max or Miracle?"

"Both," he whispered in my ear. I took all the strength in my body not to faint on the spot.

"I'd love too," I answered trying a little too hard to sound confident.

"Meet me at the frozen yogurt shop on The Square at Main Street this Friday," he replied. I almost fell out of my seat with excitement.
