Chapter 6
"The answer is no Luke. You are not taking the Falcon for your expedition", Han said in a bold statement.
"But Han", Luke pouted.
"Sorry, but no is no", Han said, "You can go find yourself a pilot on Manaan, or wait until Lando delivers his Lamba Class Shuttle".
"We need a fast ship Han, not some slow punk shuttle", Luke said with persuasion, hoping to win Han over. "Your trying to trick me with your Jedi mind tricks", accused Han, "It's not working on me, I have a strong mind". "Fine you win Han", Luke said in defeat, "But I won't be coming to your aid when you have another bounty on your head". Han rubbed his chin and stroked his beard, looking around his room he leaned closer to the hologram, "Alright I'll help you. But your not flying on the Falcon". "So your going to help me or not Han?", asked Luke.
"There is a guy, go by the name Dash Rendar . He is currently on Manaan, so your lucky. The only problem is that he charges big time", said Han showing a picture of the young pilot.
"What type of ship does he have?", asked Luke. "He has a corellian freighter YT-2400. Are you sure you have the money to pay him?". "Relax Han. I made a few friends", Luke said. "Very well then", Han said running his eyes, "Have a safe trip. An uh- may the force be with you". Han ended their transmission, leaving Luke in the dark.
Luke, Ahsoka and Sabine headed toward the Cantina area of Manaan. There were a lot of drunk men lying around. Most were looking at Ahsoka and Sabine while they walked towards the end of the Cantina. There they met Dash, a young man who, to Luke, reminded him so much of Han. "So where are you guys from off-worlders", he said.
"We're wondering if you can take us to the Torriban system?", asked Sabine, avoiding Dash's question. "The Torriban System? My, my. Why would you guys want to visit that sort of place!", said Dash in a hushed voice.
"We're looking for something", replied Ahsoka.
"Looking? What are you scavengers?", asked Dash amused, "You probably won't find a lot of stuff. There's a rumor that a few imperial star destroyers crashed down there. Don't know if anyone survived".
"Perfect. When can we leave", said Sabine excitement flashing off her face.
"Calm down there princess. You ain't going anywhere unless you pay me a specific amount", said Dash, "So what's it going to be. A couple of Hundreds?".
"Five Hundred Credits", said Sabine, "No more, no less".
"Well, that isn't going to cut it".
"We'll pay you extra", Luke persuaded, "Five Hundred Thousand credits".
Dash looked at him like he was crazy, "Five Hundred Thousand credits, eh? Well, looks like you just found yourself a pilot". Luke and Dash shook hands as their sign of agreement. "We'll meet in the hangar tomorrow at sunrise. So you have time to prepare your personal belongs", Dash said before leaving the Cantina.
The next day, Luke, Sabine and Ahsoka met Dash at the located hangar. Luke gave Dash the money, which came from the selling of his x-wing and the Jedi Seeker. "Say hi to my ship, the Outrider. Fastest ship in the galaxy, you know I've beaten Han Solo in a race once", bragged Dash admiring his ship. Luke couldn't help but chuckle as this man resembled a lot of the Han Solo. They spent time packing and loading their belongings, which took around an hour.
"There we go, ready for lift-off?", asked Dash entering the cockpit. "Yes, I believe we have everything we ne-", Luke said before stopping. "Luke? Luke are you alright?", asked Sabine, "Ahsoka?". Luke and Ahsoka were looking at the Hangar doors. "Do you feel it?", Luke asked Ahsoka. "The cold, the anger. The pleasure", Ahsoka responded.
There was a black figure standing there. The dark mask covering the figure's face. The figure ignited it's lightsaber, revealing a purple hue. "I thought you said you removed all the sith!", Sabine yelled to Luke. "Yeah, well Pallatine has a lot of surprises left. It appears to be an inquisitor", Luke shouted back, keeping his focus on the figure. "Artoo, hand me my lightsaber". The little blue droid responded by launching out his master's weapon.
"You guys head to Torriban. I'll meet you there".
"Luke, don't be ridiculous. You can't take on this inquisitor. You don't even know how powerful they are!", yelled Ahsoka.
Dash ran to bring his ship to lift off. It's engines roared as the ship started to hover above the ground. Sabine took control as the co-pilot as was stabilizing the engine. Luke and Ahsoka still argued in the background. "Hit it!", yelled Dash to Sabine. She pushed the go button, but the ship wasn't moving. "We're not moving! We're being pulled back!", she yelled.
"Head to the guns, let's see if we can get that Bantha to let go of my ship!"
Sabine ran to the turrets, and fired several shots. But the figure was still holding on, struggling, but still having a grip. The inquisitor used its lightsaber to deflect the blaster fire of the turrets. "It's no use! It's still holding!", Sabine informed.
"I'm going in!", yelled Luke.
"No!", Ahsoka said, "I already lost one Skywalker, I am not about to lose another!".
Luke starred at her, "This is what my father would do. And this is what a Jedi needs to do!", Luke jump out of the ship, ignoring the screams of protest from the crew.
The inquisitor quickly went into defense, as Luke vigorously attack it. The Outrider was released from the invisible grasp, gaining altitude. Luke and the inquisitor's figures became smaller and smaller as went to space. The went into hyperspace towards Torriban, leaving the ocean planet in the background.
The cockpit was silent as they were rethinking the events that just happened. Sabine was getting the same feelings she felt when she lost Kanan, and Ezra.
Ahsoka went to comfort Artoo, Dash didn't know what to say.
Sabine walked to where Ahsoka and Artoo were and sat down next to them. "Do you think he's-?", Sabine said before being cut off by Ahsoka. "No. I didn't feel anything. I think he made it. But I don't know how we're going to meet again", she said trying to change the tone, "We don't even know where to start looking. Luke was the only one who knew".
Artoo beeped at revealed the small compass Luke had him store. Ahsoka gasped when Artoo showed it to her. "Sabine, looks like we have our clue".
A/N: Hey everyone. Sorry for not updating. I revised my other story, not going to spoil it. Anyway Luke is gone, but don't worry he'll return in the next chapter the iquisitor is Mara Jade. Peace out.
