Chapter 7: The day one rose
"Like an angel with cruel and merciless intent, go forth young boy and you'll become a..."
SMASH!
Gekido's fist was raised, and his alarm clock had been smashed into the other side of the room. Groaning as he got up, Gekido went through the process of getting ready. He prepared a cheap cereal breakfast, washed himself, reapplied his synthetic skin and dressed. The young man put on his coat and walked to the door, stopping right in front of it. Gekido raised his fingers, counting down with his fingers. As he predicted the door bell rang, and also as he predicted, Nerv security agents stood there.
"Good morning, it's taken you a while to come and get me," he said.
"Gekido Kuzunagi, you are to come with us to Nerv HQ immediately," the one in charge said.
"Sure, whatever the commander wants," Gekido took his key out and locked the door.
He looked towards Misato's apartment, where she was stood watching them take him away. It was a quiet drive to Nerv, the agents did their jobs well, made no small talk with him and kept their sunglasses on at all times. Gekido even tried cracking a few jokes, or asking them who they preferred, Misato or Ritsuko? For some the corners of their mouth's twitched, but others remained professional. When they got to Nerv HQ, Gekido was led through the corridors, going past some of the early morning crew. The three support team members and Ritsuko weren't there yet, but Gekido guessed who was waiting for him in the interrogation room.
That's what it was, a small, padded room with a mirror like window, where people would look at what was going on and remain unseen spectators. Then there was the single black table and two chairs, one either side of the table. On one of the chairs sat Gendo, his face set at its usual expression, like an emotionless statue. His hands too were locked in the pose that had become his signature one. Fuyutsuki stood behind him, his hands behind his back, trying to mimic a statue, but his face was faltering. Gekido spotted the corner of the man's mouth rise a little, to conceal a yawn.
"You got dragged out of bed didn't you?" he asked the sub commander, taking a seat in front of Gendo.
"You can leave us," Gendo said to the agents.
"See you later guys," Gekido said over his shoulder.
He then met Gendo's eyes and a stare off commenced. Gendo looked for any sign of Gekido faltering. Gekido however simply looked at Gendo with an annoyed expression.
"What do you want to know?" he asked.
"You take a lot of risks, letting us look at your mobile suit, letting us take you, we could make you disappear," Gendo said.
"Your organisation is tough and determined Gendo, against the Angels I'm pretty sure you're the only people on the planet who can face them. But against anything else you'd lose pretty quickly, in fact it would be pretty disastrous, I'm thinking the deaths of every single person on this base," Gekido explained.
"What do you know about it?" Fuyutsuki asked.
"I know that you two, Misato and probably the others in that CIC thing you have will hold your own, but most of the other staff don't have guns, those that do only have them for show, they don't regularly attend any form of target practice. If a properly trained military team were to come in here, you would lose, even with the Evas."
"Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you won't put up a descent fight. I'm not saying the Evas won't create a devastating number of enemy casualties. But the Evas are created solely for taking on the Angels. Whilst against a military team, their biggest weakness will be their batteries. The enemy wouldn't have to beat them, they'd just have to outlast them."
"You've seem to have thought a lot about how to destroy us," Gendo commented, and to his credit he remained casual.
"I can guess what Fuyutsuki would have been doing if you hadn't woke him up, he'd be coming in the same time as usual, meeting with the city council, an exercise he finds pointless because the council is just a figure head, the actual city is run by those AI you use, the Magi wasn't it? Anyway, he would have gotten onto a tram with Aoba, Maya and Ritsuko about now, Maya and Rits would have come fresh from the Laundromat, Hyuga would have taken longer because he does both his and Misato's," Gekido explained.
"You've been following our staff, studying them," Fuyutsuki said.
"Duh!"
"You understand how that looks?"
"It makes it look like I'm studying you because I want to kill you, I don't want to kill any of you, unless there is a reason for me to. There isn't a reason is there?" Gekido asked.
"What do you mean exactly?"
"I mean you and Gendo don't have some secret plan that will put every person in Nerv, including his own son at risk. Because sending your kid to fight is something I can understand, I don't like it, but I understand why it's happening. A deliberate plot however, to use those kids for something besides killing Angels, is something I refuse to understand, and cannot abide by, that's why I've been studying Nerv, why I've thought of ways to kill everyone besides the Eva pilots," Gekido explained.
'He is a threat to us,' Gendo and Fuyutsuki thought.
They knew his morality wouldn't permit them to carry out their version of human instrumentality. Gekido noted how Gendo changed the position of his hands. No doubt entertaining the idea of drawing his gun. Gekido ran through the possibilities in his head, of both men drawing at the same time. He'd grab Gendo's gun first, block the bullet with his cybernetic hand. Fuyutsuki would hesitate, he was a man of logic, he'd over think shooting in a tight space. Once they figured out they couldn't kill him on their own, they would call the guards in. Within the confines of the room it would all be about hand to hand fighting, which was a lottery. Gekido had been in quite a few fists fights against multiple opponents, some he'd lost, others he won. There were so many other different possibilities than simply shooting a person, so many attacks to block, opportunities to attack and defend, then there was the possibility of batons or tasers. Gekido's body was altered, he could take a single taser, multiple ones however would be a problem.
Suddenly, a knock came at the door, shocking all three of the men out of their deep thinking. A man came in carrying a phone, a Nerv staff member obviously.
"I'm sorry to interrupt sir, but your son is on the phone," the man said.
An annoyed expression crossed Gendo's face as he took the phone.
"What?" he said, his voice quick, tone impatient.
Gekido's hand tensed into a fist as Gendo rushed his son.
"What is it? Hurry up."
He listened, his eyes narrowing into a frown.
"I've delegated all of that to Katsuragi, don't bother me with such nonsense again, don't forward anymore of these calls to me..." Gendo however paused, bringing the phone away from his ear.
Forgetting his anger over how Gendo treated his son, Gekido stood up.
"What's happened?" he was the first to know something had gone wrong.
Following the phones, came the lights above them. Gekido took out his miniature flash light, only partially illuminating the room.
"This is the kind of situation in which I have ample reason to hold you responsible," Gendo said.
"But you don't truly believe I am responsible do you?" Gekido asked.
"No," Gendo said.
"Why not Ikari?" Fuyutsuki asked.
"Because someone else knows what you're planning and doesn't agree with it, and Gendo knows exactly who it is," Gekido stated.
"Yes, besides, there are bigger concerns at the moment, we need to get Nerv back online in case of an Angel attack," Gendo explained.
The three, plus the staff members outside the room began making their way through the corridor. They heard one of the doors getting pried open. That told Gekido that some of the doors were electronic, including the ones they had to take to the command centre. Fuyutsuki and Gendo climbed up to their command platforms, with the older man taking command.
"Check the backup generators," he shouted to the tech crew.
"No sir, the backup circuits aren't working either," Aoba said.
"That can't be, which circuits are still functioning?" Fuyutsuki asked.
"Only one point two percent of them, only nine circuits from number 2567," a techie explained, having to shout back, as radio communication was also cut.
'Kind of makes them regret making their HQ underground, which leads to another question, why would they have to make their HQ here?' Gekido wondered.
"Connect all the remaining power circuits to maintain the Magi and central dogma," he heard Fuyutsuki say.
"But that could interfere with our life support systems," Aoba said.
"Do it, we need the Magi!"
Mere minutes ago though, everything in Tokyo 3 was normal. Hyuga was late for work, because he had to carry Misato's laundry.
"Man, that captain Katsuragi sure is lazy," he said to himself. "I mean, cant she at least make the time to go and pick up her own laundry?"
He looked up at the traffic lights. One minute the red light and stop sign was on. But when that went off, the green light didn't come on. Looking across the street, Hyuga noticed other traffic lighting wasn't working. Suddenly, things seemed to get dark, and a force knocked all of Misato's laundry out of his arms. Hyuga looked up, just like everyone else in that block. A plane of some kind had swooped over the city, dangerously close, as if trying to catch attention. Hyuga rushed onto the streets, getting a better view of the plane as it began to gain altitude, and increase speed.
Hyuga knew his aircraft, the plane wasn't any known civilian model, and it wasn't military. But it did have a military style paint job. The wings were wide and thick, supporting a multitude of engines, engines that were needed. If not, the main body of the plane wouldn't even have been able to take off, as it was massive, there was the cockpit at front, and the belly of the plane looked big enough to carry a multitude of tanks. In fact, to Hyuga, it looked almost as if multiple mobile suits could get inside it.
Shinji looked worried, to Asuka he always seemed worried. But after telling her and wonder girl about what happened with his father, he walked and looked at a distance, as if still thinking about it.
"Maybe commander Ikari was just really busy," she suggested.
"I don't think so, it wasn't like he hung up, and it sounded more like the line had failed," he said.
The three pilots were on their way to the HQ. As usual Asuka maintained a fast pace to she could take the lead. Shinji was in the middle, and Rei was behind them. Asuka looked over her shoulder, still seeing the expression on Shinji that frustrated her.
"Are you a man or what? Why do you let every little incident get under your skin?" she asked him.
"Because somewhere deep inside, he's concerned, genuinely about whether something has happened," a voice said in front of the children.
They looked ahead, seeing a man in a black suit. He had a white shirt on underneath it, with gold buttons on it, black gloves, perfectly polished shoes and a mask around his eyes. His black hair was short, but the fringe hung slightly over his left eye.
"I've been wanting to meet all of you so much, hello Asuka, Shinji, Rei," the young man said, bowing as if he was on a stage.
"Weirdo," Asuka muttered, making the masked man laugh.
"Indeed, my interest in you all is a little weird, I confess I know quite a lot about each of you. Asuka Langley Soryu, out of all the children, you've suffered the most trauma out of them all, perhaps that was why the German government took such a strong interest in your development. Military trained, college education, brilliant in terms of your intelligence and strength," the man explained.
Asuka blushed, one part flattered, another part crept out by the high praise.
"But then there is the trauma, you crave something you'll never be satisfied with when you have it," the man smirked as Asuka glared at him.
"Then," he turned, focusing his attention on Shinji. "Shinji Ikari, daddy issues, nuff said really!"
Shinji's expression dropped slightly, disappointed the man's analysis of him wasn't as thorough as Asuka's. He and Asuka both followed the man's eyes as they narrowed at Rei.
"Faker," he snarled.
Both were shocked because Rei was shocked, they had never seen her taken by surprise before. Suddenly, something incredibly heavy slammed into the ground, throwing them forward. The masked man shielded his eyes, sighing as the children looked up at the object. It was a giant, not as tall as an Eva, but taller than the Purpose. Unlike the Purpose though, its feet were thicker, designed for hovering on the ground. As well as having rounder armour, the plating on the suit was coloured black, purple and silver. On its back was a rocket pack, but also some kind of cylinder shaped, yellow sword. The machine also carried a bazooka with a sight attached to it. The greatest differentiation in the suit was the head, it was red and black, with a cross shaped visor. Shining beyond that visor was a life like red eye.
"Damn it Quora, if you were any more off target you would have crushed them," the masked man said.
"Sorry Mister Requiem," a woman's voice echoed out of the loud speaker.
"Asuka, Shinji, Fake, meet Quora and..." another crash interrupted 'Requiem's' introductions.
It was the same type of machine as the one Quora was in. Requiem waited, and waited, until again a third mobile suit crashed behind him.
"You were supposed to crash to the right of them Dante," Requiem said.
"Sorry boss," the man in the suit sounded big, and child like too.
"You were on target, but the timing could have been better Sakura," Requiem turned to the second machine.
A simple grunt came from the machine.
Asuka blinked in confusion. She and Rei had both huddled close to Shinji. The brown haired girl huffed, shoving Shinji back and put on her furious look.
"Who the hell are you people?" she demanded, pointing her finger at Requiem.
"These three are the pilots of their units, the Dom, although they've been significantly altered, the mobile suits I mean, not them. As for who we are as a group, we my young friends are the new guardians of this world, Wille," the masked man explained.
"Wille, new guardians? What are you talking about?" Shinji asked.
"Is he stupid?" Dante asked.
"I wouldn't say that, just slow," Quora said.
Sakura grunted, as if not bothered.
"I am as my pilots said Mr Requiem," the masked man waved his hand and bowed.
"Requiem, a musical composition for a mass dedicated to the dead," Rei said.
"Indeed faker, I have such a sad name, but I insist on being jolly, god knows someone has to. Have any of you ever wondered why your lives suck so much?" Requiem asked.
That took Shinji aback, angered Asuka, and Rei seemed indifferent to it. Asuka squeezed her hands into fists, tempted to punch the man. Her life was hers, no one could tell her whether it was a bad life of not. She told herself she was happy, that her happiness was her own choice. Shinji however was thinking, about his arrival in Tokyo-3, about his father walking away from him, about what his father first said to him when they met again.
"My life, doesn't suck," Asuka snarled.
"Wow, she's feisty, me like," Dante said.
"Me too, betting she'll be hot when she's older," Quora added.
"Meh," Sakura muttered, as if unsure.
"Why would you say that?" Shinji asked.
"Well she's..."
"He wasn't talking to you Quora, the reason I said that Shinji, is because it is true. I mean let's look at you alone, your mother died when you were very young, does that strengthen your relationship with your father? No, he sends you away, to live with your teacher, who treats you as a student and not even a foster child. Then there is your arrival, after all these years, he tells you to get into the Evangelion, continually puts you in harm's way and never shows even a hint of concern over your safety, it doesn't affect his performance as a commander in any way to simply say 'I'm glad you're safe son, well done son, be careful Shinji'. From everything else I've learned, what was it he said to you when you just called him? Oh yes, 'that's all been delegated to Katsuragi, don't call me over something so mundane again'," Requiem smirked as each of his words began to sink in.
"My father he..."
"Doesn't give a damn about you, then there's Asuka, I could give you the whole sob story about her, did you know she didn't even know her father," Requiem let out a laugh as Asuka began to approach him.
He easily grabbed her fist, throwing her back to Shinji and Rei.
"She's like you Shinji, an unloved child, like you she can't even love herself without being acknowledged for her talents," Requiem said.
"What is the purpose of all this?" Rei asked.
"I thought I would take the time to psychologically break you all down, not to harm you of course, just to educate you all on your personal failings, faker!"
"Why do you keep calling Rei faker?" Shinji asked.
"You mean you don't know yet? Hmmm...he did say you wouldn't discover it until later, should I spoil it? Hmmm, Nah, you can find out later, it'll be a shocker, wont it?" Requiem asked the Tri-Stars.
"Actually it'll make sense once you consider certain things?"
"Really Quorra, I was blown away."
"Meh!"
"Eloquently put as always Sakura, anyway, I've been digressing, I think it's time we got to the point," Requiem said.
He raised his hand, in an offering gesture to the three pilots.
"Your value and purpose within Nerv, will never change, you are simple pawns in a plan called the Human Instrumentality project. Join us, and you'll change, for the better, just as you'll change your world for the better," Requiem explained.
"We will appreciate and praise you, embrace you as comrades and family, with us, you'll never be unhappy again. With us, you'll get what you've always wanted, when you didn't even know what that was. You will evolve and develop, once the fires you've started with us have faded, you'll be kings and queens, not mere pawns. Join us, become architects of the human reformation project."
The three children looked at the masked man, uncertain as to whether be enamoured or disturbed by him. Doubts rose in both Asuka and Shinji, whilst Rei's loyalty to Nerv, to Gendo wavered for but a moment.
"Faker, come with me and you'll be the only Rei there ever is," Requiem smirked as he saw Rei's lip tremble.
"Be our ace pilot Asuka, then take whatever you want," he raised his hand slightly higher, focusing on Asuka, making her blush slightly.
"Get the praise you deserve Shinji," Shinji took a few steps forward, staring at his hand.
"Join our group, the organisation known as..."
"Uragiri!"
The ground suddenly shook, Requiem froze, then narrowed his eyes as he looked over his shoulder. The Tri-Stars and the Eva pilots looked at what had appeared in shock. Standing, just a few metres away from them was the Purpose, but the voice that had come out of its speakers was not Gekido's. The grey armoured machine took a few steps forward, and the Doms hovered in front of Requiem.
"It seems the other fake is indisposed, a puppet without strings is no match for us," Requiem said.
He raised his hand, and clicked his fingers. The Doms moved forward and the Purpose raised its fists.
Deep inside Nerv Headquarters, Gekido put a hand to his head. He nearly collapsed against one of the CIC consoles, his eyes continually shifting from narrowed to diluted.
"What the hell, is going on up there Purpose?" he wondered.
Suddenly, the lights began to flicker and the power suddenly came back on. Gendo and Fuyutsuki removed their feet from their cold water buckets, both determining that the sudden return of power, was not because of Ritsuko.
"I can't explain how, but it's as if someone has turned a proverbial switch," Gekido heard Ritsuko over the radio, she sounded bewildered and scared.
"Can someone tell me what happened," Misato's voice suddenly came over the radio.
"Miss Katsuragi and I have spent a long time in an elevator, we're a little lost," Kaji said.
They heard the sound of a fist colliding with something, and Misato's frustrated growl. The people in the command centre suddenly turned to the main screen as it came on, no longer showing the display of the Magi or Tokyo-3. Instead it showed the inside of a mobile suit, and the pilot sitting inside it. He was dressed in a white and blue flight suit, a black, dome shaped helmet covered his face.
"Gendo Ikari," he said.
(Angel of Doom-Shiro Sagisu)
His voice, it had an air of familiarity to it, Gekido couldn't place it, but Gendo seemed to instantly recognise it. Gekido saw the man's hands tremble slightly.
"An Angel is coming towards Tokyo-3, your Evas will not destroy it, we will," the pilot said.
Confused, and afraid, the people in Nerv watched the main screen intently. Misato and Kaji entered, both gasping in shock like every other person in the room. It showed a scene taking place miles from Tokyo-3.
The JSSDF, flew over what had become a battleground, between an Angel and an unknown private military group. Angel of rain, premonition of god, the ninth angel, Matarel was in pain. Like the spider it resembled, the Angel scurried, unable to offer any form of attack against the forces attacking it. What attacked it shocked even Gekido, he saw something he never expected to see. Mobile suits, specifically Zakus. The green armoured machines had jet flight packs on their backs, and flew around the angel, firing beam machine guns at its surface. One of the suits, a red machine, twirled its glaive styled weapon. Swinging the staff, it cut off one of Matarel's legs.
Flying into the sky, the six mobile suits formed up, raising their hands. Suddenly, Matarel crashed into a Pentagonal wall, an AT field. Matarel struggled to get off of the ground, as a mobile suit carrier flew over its head. Inside the carrier, the masked pilot loaded his machine onto the launch catapult. It was shorter, and looked less modern than the Zakus. Its exoskeleton was exposed at its belly, but the rest of its purple and green armour was heavy, the armour on its legs was black and had extra rockets on it. The mobile suits head sported the familiar eyes and V-fin that marked it as a Gundam.
"Kirai, Gundam ReiMiAsu, launching," the pilot announced.
(Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans-Defenders of the wilds)
The Gundam flew out of the carrier, the black rocket boosters on its back blazing out a trail of fire. It swerved and flipped in midair, making sure the JSSDF aircraft, and additional media helicopters saw it. All over the world, people would be seeing an angel die, long before it reached the city and harmed innocents. Matarel was the weakest angel, but the rest of the world didn't know that. ReiMiAsu activated its knee thrusters, stopping inches from Matarel's AT field. Dust collided with the hexagonal field, and the Gundam began rising.
"Clear away boys, the boss is going to finish this," the Red Zaku pilot said, flying the formation upwards.
Kirai had the Gundam draw one of its sword. Six sheaths were attached to the suit's skirt armour. ReiMiAsu slid the rapier styled blade out of the sheath, and dived towards Matarel. The spider raised three of its legs, trying to knock the Gundam out of the sky. By Kirai swerved, to the left, then the right, then he thrust the blade forward. It grinded against the AT field, the Gundam's eyes flashed red before it pierced the field. Following through the thrust, ReiMiAsu stuck the sword through the front of the Angel. Immediately, the blade disconnected from the grip, and the Gundam began to rise.
"Angel fallen," Kirai said as the explosive cross flashed in front of his Gundam.
(End track)
The feed within Nerv was then cut at that moment. Each person who witnessed the slaying of an Angel, without an Eva, was confounded. Even Gendo's stance was shaken, his teeth fixed in a glare. Everything about the human instrumentality project had changed. Gekido however, remained indifferent to the angel situation, he was more worried about the mobile suits, his concern then shifted to the Purpose.
The three Eva pilots learnt two things, one, the Purpose was not what it appeared, and two, neither were the Doms. All three suits hovered around the Purpose, surrounding it. Then, they raised their hands, as if forming an unseen chain with one another. The Purpose moved towards the Dom in front of it, throwing its fist forward. But the fist simply met an AT field, which began to push against the Purpose. The Purpose raised its other arm, meeting the AT field from the other Doms. There the machine stood, its body creaking as it held back the walls closing in around it, the walls that enclosed the minds of the pilots from everyone else.
"Impossible, that thing should have been crushed by now, could the pilot's AT field..."
"Nah Quorra, there isn't a pilot in there," Dante said.
"It couldn't be holding the fields back with pure strength, no mobile suit is that strong," Quorra retorted.
Sakura let out a feral growl as she moved her Dom forward. The Purpose turned its head, looking directly at Quorra's suit. A light began to glow on the Gundam's chest, and in its eyes, taking on a golden colour much like the sun. Suddenly, several canisters on the Gundam's back dropped onto the floor. They flashed, the light fading from the Purpose as the Dom pilot's shielded their eyes. Rushing forward, the Purpose shoved the purple and black machines aside, moving straight for the Eva pilots.
"And on that note, I'll be leaving," Requiem said as he broke off into a run, out of the Purpose's path.
The Doms raised their bazookas, firing at the Gundam.
"NO YOU FOOLS!" Requiem yelled.
The rounds blew up upon contact with the Purpose.
"Um sorry boss," Dante muttered.
"Well, at least we won't have to worry about them rejecting your offer," Quorra said.
"Yeh!" Sakura grunted.
Suddenly, the Purpose flew out of the smoke, its wings sliding out of its rocket boosters. Its armour stopped shining as it flew high over Tokyo-3. Crouched in its arms, were the Eva pilots, Shinji gripping Rei tightly for support, whilst Asuka let the wind rush through her hair.
"THIS IS VERDAMMT UNGLAUBLICH!" she yelled.
A shadow then covered the Gundam. The Eva pilots looked up, seeing the sinister, life like eyes of the ReiMiAsu. Inside, Kirai focused on Shinji, his hands squeezing the controls tightly. Suddenly, he moved the Gundam downwards, kicking the Purpose in the back. The three children were suddenly thrown out of the Gundam's grip, and began to fall. The Purpose quickly kicked the ReiMiAsu across the head, then grabbed Rei and Asuka. Shinji screamed as he fell, the wind rushing against his face. Out of fear, he curled up, in a vain attempt to shield himself. He felt a hard sensation on his body, hurting him, but not breaking him. Then he heard a crash, the sound of metal grinding against the ground, ripping trees off of their roots.
"Open your eyes idiot, you're not dead," Asuka said.
She kicked Shinji's back, causing him to yell out. He opened his eyes, looking at his surroundings. He was with the other pilots, on the Purpose's chest. The Purpose itself had left a trail of ruin across the forest, about three lengths of its height.
"What's going on?" Shinji asked.
"It appears if we don't accept their offer, they'll kill us," Rei said.
"Well duh, that just assures we won't accept," Asuka huffed.
She let out a shocked scream as the Purpose's index and thumb pushed against her sides, lifting her up. Rei accepted the Gundam's grip, whilst the chest of the machine opened, and Shinji screamed as he fell into the machine. Asuka was thrown in next, her chest smothering Shinji's head.
"PERVERT BAKA!" she screamed, planting a hand print on Shinji's cheek.
Rei landed more gracefully inside the cockpit.
"I'm the best pilot here, I'll take the pilots seat," Asuka said, trying to shove Rei out of the chair.
"It appears a pilot is unnecessary," Rei said.
The Purpose closed its cockpit and stood up, standing ready as the ReiMiAsu and the Doms landed. Inside the lead machine, Kirai narrowed his eyes as Requiem's face appeared on his screen.
"What the hell do you think you're doing Kirai?" the masked man asked.
"Taking out the biggest threat to the human reformation project, Shinji's a liability that needs to be destroyed," Kirai said.
"You will stand down, do not allow your personal feelings to get in the way of this mission, and keep in mind what is at stake, hurt those pilots, and you'll be signing her death sentence," Requiem explained.
The pilot snarled in anger, before he began flying upwards. Soon afterwards the Doms followed, the Purpose waited, keeping its shield ready. Inside, the silence hung over the children, each one waiting for an attack to come. Even though they were satisfied that the enemy was gone, the Purpose remained defensive, walking through the forest with the shield raised. When it emerged from the forest, a battalion of tanks and aircraft aimed their weapons at it. Inside Central Dogma, Gendo, and the other key members of Nerv looked over at Gekido, who sighed in frustration.
"Well, I suppose this changes everything!"
Next Chapter 8: the value of miracles
Hope everyone enjoyed the chapter, and the introduction of threats from the Gundam world. Next time, the world reacts to the existence of Wille/Uragiri, and the revelation of the Purpose's intelligence, just as Sahaquiel appears. Plus Mari!
The Gundam piloted by the mysterious pilot is a mixture of the Gundam Vidar and Eva unit 1
