Alfred found that he hated the silence.

As he walked around his room and rubbed his stomach, gentle music played around him and echoed down the hall of his house. He had stopped working because of pregnancy and some depression he had.

He was taking as easily as he could.

Which, pretty much sucked.

Gilbert's family would visit him everyonce in a while, helping him around the house and bringing toys and things like that.

The house was beautiful. It was large and roomy and perfect for a child and a couple. It had a large backyard and front yard with an amazing porch and the neighbors were insurs from planet 34 who made amazing kugel. They heard about Gilbert and immedietly chirped at him with their weird bird ways about how bad they felt.

He sat on the recliner of his seat and gentle pushed the rocking chair with the tips of his feet. He rocked and rocked and tried to not let the pain come into his chest.

Tears bubbled in his eyes and he gently rubbed his stomach and felt a soft kicking at his stomach.

Gilbert...

Gilbert...

His Gilbert..

He put his head in his hands and began to sob.

He missed his fiance so much.

His eyes slowly opened when he heard knocking at his door. He gently stood up and held his stomach as it was slightly painful to get up too fast.

"Coming." He said groggily and dragged his feet on his floor and then pulled away the locks. He opened the door, and there was a man there.

His eyes were wide as he knew who that was.

"...Oh my god..."

Alfred stared at his ex boyfriend and blinked away tears. The man hadn't talked to him in years.

He coughed gently and then looked away with those purple eyes of his.

"Alfred.. it's... ugh been a while."

Alfred suddenly looked down and then flushed as he was only wearing a bathrobe.

"I'm... sorry you couldn't find me at a better time, Nikolai." Alfred said as he turned and beckoned the taller man in. Alfred had dated the man once before, and they didn't exactly hit it off. Nikolai had been to jealous and overprotective, but he had been a good guy.

The male walked with quick steps and turned. His eyes slitted and his tongue stuck out.

"It's nothing of matter of what you look. You look pretty great actually." Nikolai said gently and Alfred flushed.

"Let... let me change really quick." Alfred went to his room and left the tall belorrusian to smile at him. Alfred changed into some jeans and shirt, sighing heavily as the jeans almost didn't fit.

He's 5 months pregnant. He should start wearing looser clothing.

Alfred came out and slipped on some shoes, heading to the kitchen and making some coffee.

Nikolai sat down in front of him and then Alfred asked.

"Not that i mind, but why are you here? It's been 4 years..." Alfred said gently as he remembered his college days. Nikolai had actualy helped him bring out his real self, and even though they crumpled, he left him with much more than he took.

"I... heard about your fiance..." Nikolai said delicatly and he folded his hands on his lap. Alfred's eyes stared at him, taking a shaky breathe.

"W-what about Gilbert...?" Alfred said gently as tears filled with tears and he gently shook in his own spot. Nikolai's eyes widened as he saw that Alfred bite his lip and cover his mouth.
"I'm sorry."

Nikolai stood up and held Alfred as he cried gently.

"No, don't be sorry. It's fine..." Nikolai said gently as his fingers dug into Alfred's shoulders and held him tightly. Alfred whimpered and as the man pet his ears he began to purr.

"Thank you, Nikolai."

"I felt like you needed someone to vent to..." Nikolai gently sighed and took both of the coffee cups, walking them to the living room. Alfred gently curled into Nikolai's side and the belorussian made a small hissing noise of care.

"Thank you, Nikolai. And how has your life been?"

"I'm actually getting married in two months."

Alfred pulled back and squeled.
"Oh my goodness to who?"

The belorussian blushed.
"You actually know her. It's Erzsie."

Alfred jumped on the sofa and wrapped his arms around the man. Nikolai smiled and Alfred purred in his arms.
"Thank you."

"For what?" Nikolai said delicatly a couple of hours later after they were done talking and remembering moments.

"For being my friend." Alfred said gently as he closed his eyes and slept.

Nikolai smiled gently.

Erzsie had had a good idea when telling him to come.

"You'll be okay, Alfred... You're always okay."

Alfred didn't want to do this.

He curled into the sofa and stared at Natalia who blinked at the mayor.

"Why...?"

The mayor stared at the woman and sighed.
"Look, the people want to see something done for Gilbert, and this would be perfect. Especially for Alfred, since he is the father of his child-"

"No!" Alfred sat up and he glared at the man.

"I don't want to do this, my fiance wanted his life to be kept secret! I am not doing this!"

Natalia swallowed thickly.

"Alfred... with the money you'll get, this will keep you stable until your child is in college."

Alfred stared at her.

He knew that being a single parent was going to screw him over with money and he would have to work twice as much for his child. If he did this, he'd have his son comfortable and unworried. He just had to worry about his mental stability with having lost his father before he even knew him.

Alfred felt tears well at his eyes as he stood up and signed the permission to use Gilbert's name in the show. They were going to exploit his name.

Alfred felt sick to his stomach.

He opened the door to his house and then stared at the news on his computer. There was a small thing in his email and he opened it, seeing that it was some recommendations from his purchases.

his eyes scanned the list and then stared at a small object. It was a ultrasound kit.

He pressed "buy" and then he rubbed his stomach gently. He felt a small kick and then a pat pat against the bottom of his stomach. He smiled gently.

He was going to get to see his baby.

A couple of days later, he came back from his walk and saw that there was a package on the doorsteps. He carefully bent down and pulled it into the room.

He fixed all the things and sat in front of his t.v. screen, pressing the gooey cold substance onto his swollen stomach and then gently rubbing the circular object onto his tummy.

There was a beep and then suddenly a heartbeat was echoing in the room. A small little ball in black an white glowed on the screen, and two little tiny hands twitched and the baby moved.

Alfred felt tears well into his eyes as he noticed the baby's shape. It was blurry and he couldn't make out the lines on the baby's face, but it was there.

It was his little child.

"Oh my god..."

He gently rubbed the ball lower and saw that it was a little boy.

Tears began to drip down his face and he felt the baby kick and move.

"A little boy... Gilbert would have loved you... so much..."

He sobbed heavily, and if he had looked at the screen he would have seen that the baby frowned and knitted its little brows.

Alfred put away everything and walked to the bathroom, filling the tub and shedding his clothes.

Gently he slipped into the warm water and stared at the water as it wrapped itself around his body.

He wiped his face and then laid back. His hands held his swollen stomach and his eyes filled with tears again.

Everything hurt.

Everything just hurt.

He missed Gilbert. He missed his kisses, his voice, his stares, he missed his smell. He missed waking up to him smiling at him and kissing his nose and telling him he loved him.

He missed Gilbert.

Alfred felt tears rolling down his face and he turned to stare out the large window of his bathroom. In the deep black of the sky he saw a small twinkle of a light and then something blasted across the sky.

Alfred closed his eyes and took a shuddery breathe.

"Please, help me be strong again. Just for my baby."

And then he let go of a breathe he was holding and cried until there was no way he'd keep crying.

Alfred walked down the road of Earth, blushing furiously at the weird glares he was receiving. People were staring at him as he held his stomach and wore the Talian's gear.

He then immediately went to a store and sat down, feeling tears bubble at his eyes and he wrapped his tail around his body and began to cry gently.

He covered his face and tried not to feel bad, but he was a pregnant male and Earthians were... well earthians.

No wonder Gilbert didn't want to live here, it was awful.

He pulled back from his palms and wiped his face. He looked up and saw more people staring.

"What?" He angrily hissed and then stood up and they all looked away.

He needed chocolate.

He turned to go to the aisle and passed by millions of things that reminded him of his fiance, but he didn't break. He didn't want to cry again, not right now.

He grabbed a bag full of cooking chocolate and walked to the counter. A young man with long floppy ears and a bunny tail looked at him and wiggled his nose.
"Hello!"

Alfred looked up and then blushed heavily.

"Oh, good afternoon."

"You look like you've been through hell." He said gently and passed the chocolate chips. They didn't beep. The boy huffed and rolled his eyes.

"Jojo, find a better bag." He said to a woman who popped her gum and rolled her eyes.

"Whatever."

The man cursed at her in greul and Alfred giggled.

The bunny smiled at him.

"I'm Hjan. Nice to meet you." Alfred smiled at him, and then replied in greul.

"From the northeast?"

Hjan wiggled his nose and his big blue eyes twinkled.

"Mhm. You... must be Alfred Beilschmidt, right?"

Alfred made a face and then sighed.

"Yes. Well... It's still Jones..." Alfred smiled at him and the man sighed heavily.

"I am sorry about that. You're fiance was a pretty cool guy. I heard about him, and his family was a friend of mine." Hjan said and shook his head.

Alfred looked up and then smiled.
"Thank you."

"So, do you know what's the baby?" Hjan said and bounced a little in his own spot. Alfred then flushed heavily.

"It's a baby boy." Alfred said as he rubbed his belly and felt a little kick.

"Oh my goodness! That's awesome!" Hjan said and bounced, clapping his hands and bouncing in his spot.

"Yeah."

"How far in?"

"5 Months."

Hjan squeed and Jojo stared at him as he glared at her.

"Ugh don't look at me like that jojo."

Alfred smiled at him and they exchanged numbers, Hjan waving at him as he left. Alfred walked down the street, and for seem reason, the stares didn't hurt as much as they used to.

He sat uncomfortably in a folded chair, wiping his forehead and sighing heavily as people talked and drone about something and about Gilbert.

He didn't feel anything as they talked about him and used his name in use for the company of whatever.

He didn't care.

He just wanted to go home and finish some reports for Natalia.

Minutes dragged and soon enough Alfred stood up and was about to leave when there was a loud sound. A snapping of sorts and something incredibly loud that almost made his ears pop. His eyes filled with tears and he slowly raised his head.

There was a scream and then a shout of a voice that he recognized too well; it haunted his dreams.

"AH, SHIT. WHAT THE FUCK. SHITTY HORRIBLE SHIP AND HORRIBLE ENGINE I HATE YOU."

Alfred raised his ears and his tail began to wag so fast he felt like it might fly off. He sniffed the air and then his eyes widened.
"Gilbert..." His legs immediately began to move towards the giant cloud of dust and there was a shape flailing it's arms and Alfred's wide eyes saw Gilbert

His Gilbert.

"Shit... fucking ship..."

Alfred launched himself at Gilbert and the man almost attacked him if he didn't feel his face being licked and a loud chorus of whines and sobs.
"GILBERT. GILBERT, GILBERT!"

The man below him stiffened and then his eyes filled with tears. He wrapped his arms tightly around his husband an in the small cloud of smoke kissed Alfred's cheek.

"I love you."

Alfred broke into sobs, and he sat beside Gilbert, holding him tightly and licking his face over and over. His tail violently wagged agains his hips and Gilbert felt tears drip down his face and he held his fiance.

Alfred cried and cried and he felt complete again.

He did not detach himself from him.

As they took him to the hospital, the man that was going to check Gilbert almost got bit from Alfred as he tried to pull him away.

"Honey... honey..." Gilbert gently held Alfred as he dug his face into his shoulder and gripped his shirt so tightly that his knuckles cracked.

Gilbert gently ran his fingers through his fiance's hair and sighed heavily.

"Alfred, they need to check me. If you wait and give them time, i promise that when we get home I'll be all yours, okay?" Gilbert said gently and Alfred pulled back from his shoulder, his big blue eyes filled with tears and love and Gilbert swallowed.

He had missed him...

"O-okay."

He reluctantly let his shirt go and turned around, leaving his future husband to be checked out.

"He really loves you." The doctor said as he begins to check his pulse, his heart rate and the rest of the his vitals. He then noticed scars on his back and the fact that he could see his ribs start to protrude.

"He does..." Gilbert said gently, looking at the wall. His voice had lost it's narcissism and it turned into a scratchy voice that the doctor knew he barely used.

"I... Doc,... i've been gone for a year... Why hasn't he had the baby?"

The doctor froze.

"Gilbert, what day is it...?"

The albino stared at him with red eyes, shadows dancing behind iris' and he sighed.

"It's not August... is it..."

The doctor swallowed and his eyes flashed to the calendar.

On the calendar it said it was May.

"It's not..."

"I've been gone for a year, doc."

"It's been 4 months."

Gilbert covered his face and for the first time since he appeared-

He screamed.

Alfred fought Natalia as she pulled him back from running into the room. Gilbert was screaming at the top of his lungs and there was movement in the room.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 4 FUCKING MONTHS?"

Alfred fought and cried, Natalia holding the man as tight as she could without hurting him or the swell in between his body.

"NATALIA LET ME GO!"

"NO!"

Alfred fought her and Natalia then pushed a muscle on his neck and Alfred's eyes widened and then his ears flattened against his skull and he passed out in her arms.

"Good boy..." Natalia said gently and Alfred's heavy body leaned against her. She curled him up in her lap and the young man's soft snores filled her ears. There was a ruckus in the room was relaxed and the doctor came out.

"It seems that Gilbert has had a minor lapse. It might take a while for him to return to normal. Wherever he was affected his thoughts and emotional stance."

He sighed and sat beside her. He rubbed his eyes and Natalia rubbed his back.
"Toris, you've done your best. I thank you." She blushed as the man looked at her with a blushing face and large green eyes.

"You're welcome."

Natalia held the man and then Toris put his hand on Alfred's stomach, blushing as he felt the small touches against his hand.
"At least they're all together now."

Natalia smiled wide and slipped her hand through Toris'.

"Maybe we can have a family of our own...?"

Toris blushed and they held hands, knowing that the man in Natalia's lap and the man in the room would soon be together and everything they'd gone through would be a forgotten memory.

They hoped.

Gilbert gently passed his finger over the table and everything around the house. He traced different things that Alfred had changed for himself, seeing the piano was well used and the T.V. was almost forgotten.

Alfred sat on the sofa, staring at his fiance as he took it all in. Gilbert had come earlier and Alfred had found him like this. He hadn't said anything the last couple of minutes.

He was about to open his mouth when he felt something kick at his tummy. He jumped and made a small noise, as it was incredibly hard this time.
"Ouch, Junior..." Alfred murmured and ran his hands over his stomach and felt his face turn warm. His little baby could feel how happy his father felt and how suddenly it felt better inside his dad's womb.

Gilbert stopped pressing the piano and turned to the young man.

He stared at Alfred as his hands slowly went over his swollen belly, feeling the swell and the soft bumps against his stomache. His eyes were soft and the light casted upon him made him glow with life.

Gilbert swallowed thickly as his brain finally connected that he was home. He was home after a year of living in that planet he had crash landed on.

He had been pulled into a worm hole before he was taken into the black hole. he had been thrown back into time and the planet he had been on was marshy and gross, and the only thing he could do was survive.

He would only remember his fiance when he was staring death in the face, and trust Gilbert that had been constantly.

So gently, he walked across the room and fell on his knees. He had never felt his child. He had never felt the soft kick and soft bumps on his lover's stomach as his child was being born inside him.

Gently... gently... He laid his head on Alfred's stomach and rubbed his hand over the bump. Then he felt a kick and a squirm and tears filled his eyes.

He began to cry.

Alfred stared at Gilbert as everything came crashing down, and he realized he was home and he was never leaving again. He was never going to leave Alfred or leave their child or anything.

"It's a boy, Gilbert..."

Gilbert looked up at Alfred with tear filled eyes and loving features.

"A boy?"

Alfred shook his head gently and Gilbert leaned up and gently kissed him. Alfred then burst into tears. He hadn't touched his lover. He thought he'd lost him.

There was a fluttery feeling in his chest, and the softness on his lips and Gilbert's calloused hands touching his thighs.
"I love you. I missed you." Alfred whimpered and Gilbert held him. He held him and Alfred curled into Gilbert, crying as Gilbert kissed him over and over and pet him slowly.

"It's okay, honey... I'm back... And i'm not going anywhere..."

Alfred closed his eyes, feeling the soft thump of Gilbert's heart in his ear and the soft warmth of his body. He felt Gilbert thinner, but he was here and that meant that he could feed him and help him and fix him.

He didn't care if it cost work, he'd make it work.

Because he was here.

He was with Alfred.

And that's all he ever wanted again.

i wouldn't kill Gilbert off...
