Ryuzaki rolled over on his side his body caked in sweat and his face flushed. His stomach hurt and he could feel a constant aching feeling in his chest. In the silence of the dark room as the moon shined its faint light though the window he could hear the soft sounds of Light's sleep. The feeling would refuse to subside as he would go in and out of sleep finally awaking to the faint light of day break. He'd sit up wiping the crust from his eyes and make his way towards the balcony to stare out at the rising sun as the bright lights of the city would turn off to compensate for the growing light. He'd close his eyes and rest his head on the railing the coldness a wonderful relief to his burning forehead. To his surprise he would feel a pat on his shoulder which would make him turn quickly only to see Light. "Hey Ryuzaki are you okay?" He couldn't find the words nor was he able to form any to speak all he could do was give a silent stare. Light would tilt his head and notice something was different about him. "Ryuzaki are you okay? You look flush." Light pushed his hand against Ryuzaki's forehead to feel extreme heat but Ryuzaki would quickly smack it away in frustration and impulse. "I'm fine really," he'd say in a in a calm voice. Don't…don't touch me like that as if you care so much, he'd think to himself. How can just someone's touch hurt so bad? His heart was lying on a bed of broken glass and needles and he tensed up averting Light's eyes. "Ryuzaki you're burning up you should really stay in bed," He'd try to express his concern without trying to seem to eager to try and help yet Ryuzaki would push by him quickly stumbling back into the room leaning against a wall. Ryuzaki couldn't feel anything but a blinding hot flash and fire coursing through his veins and mind. He could feel his vision starting to blur and it became harder and harder to keep standing as he became surrounded by darkness followed by a painful thud. When he came to he would feel a cool wet washcloth on his head and a throbbing feeling all throughout his body. He'd turn to his side causing the wash cloth to fall off and he'd see a pot of tea next to his bed side evidence that Watari had been there. What happened? Why do I feel this way? He'd place his hand on his forehead covering his face sighing softly. What's wrong with me? It was at this point that he heard a soft humming and he turned to his other side to see Light sitting next to him peeling an apple with a knife. He closed his eyes immediately not letting it be known he was awake. He heard Light place the apple on his side table and get up and leave the room. Once he heard the door close he sat up and noticed the apple had been sliced into even pieces. He took a piece and ate it feeling the sweet juices fill his mouth and despite himself he felt tears well up in his eyes and stream down his cheeks making his face itch. Why the heck am I feeling this way? He clutched at his chest as he felt it throb again as he ate another piece of apple wiping the tears from his face. What the hell happened to me? His head was racing with thoughts as he ate the apple piece by piece savoring each bite. He'd go over in his mind the makings of last night and how he was feeling and take out his making friends book from under his bed once more which would be book marked. He'd open it to its page and stare at the chapter title again which read "love." He'd shake his head once more remembering the events of the previous night Light's words still echoing through his head. He's dating Misa again so I wouldn't even begin to feel that way. In a burst of anger he'd angrily toss the book across the room where it thudded against the wall flopping over closing promptly as it fell. Baka! I should never have read that damn book, he'd think to himself. All it's done is given me more questions than answers! He would feel sweat run against his brow and his skin felt like it was burning red with fire, so he pulled off his covers to get up and head towards the bathroom. He would take off his shirt and splash cold water on his face multiple times letting the water flow from his face down his body. The way it trickled down his skin gave him goosebumps and quelled the fire that burned inside him. He stared at himself in the mirror looking at his messy hair and sleepless eyes which looked more sleep deprieved then ever. What has happened to me? This damn case has gotten to my head, he whispered softly. He splashed himself in the face one more time enjoying the feeling of cool water on his face. He'd make his way out of the bathroom feeling a shaking feeling rush through his head again and his vision went blurry causing him to stumble feeling a sharp pain in his chest as he hit the floor. A heart attack….Am I dying? His vision would fade out as he felt a light headed feeling before darkness would surround him.
