Special chapter for just RoyAi and Ling x Ran Fan, plus the smallest bit of Maes x Gracia. Why? Because I love you guys and I'm sorry about not updating! PLUS the secrets between Ran Fan and Ling get clearer…

Riza was enjoying the weekend. The sky was a nice blue and it wasn't too cold, the perfect weather to walk Black Hayate. Hayate tugged at his leash, trying to pull Riza through the park, but Riza walked at her own pace, calling out 'heal!' every once in a while.

"Riza?" Someone tapped Riza on the shoulder.

"Yes, Roy?" Riza stopped walking, and looked at her black haired schoolmate.

"Fancy meeting you here. How are you?" Roy dropped into pace next to Riza.

"I'm doing fine, but what's the colonel doing talking to a civilian like me?"

"You remembered that nickname?"

"We used to play soldiers all the time. You and Maes and Jean and me. Sometimes Vato and Kain would play too. You were always the colonel." Riza smiled a bit at the memories.

"We did play that a lot. We had code names to. You were Elizibeth."

Riza laughed lightly. "Yeah. That was a long time ago. I feel like a sentimental old woman talking like that."

"Heh, I guess it does feel like that a bit." Roy paused as Riza stopped and waited for Hayate to relieve himself on a tree. "Um… Riza?"

"Yeah?"

"Would you…" Like to go to the Valentines Day dance with me?

"Yes?"

"Never mind." Roy looked away and hoped he wasn't blushing.

"What ever you say, colonel."

The two walked together for a few minutes, enjoying the nice day. Riza was wearing a skirt, a deviation from her normal jeans. Roy couldn't help admiring her.

"Roy!" A familiar voice broke the silence between them.

"Hey, Maes! What's up?"

"I just asked Gracia out to the Valentine's Day Dance, and she said yes! I got pictures, too!"

"Good for you, but I do not want to see the pictures."

"C'mon! They're great!"

Maes started chasing Roy down with his pictures, and Riza sighed. An almost romantic moment with Roy had been mercilessly shattered by a very hilarious idiot.

~~~\/\/\/~~~
It was a peaceful night for Ling. He had hung out at Ed's house, ate most of the food he could find, and was walking back home in the twilight with a full stomach. All seemed good for the black haired boy. Plus, he knew someone had his back. Ran Fan walked on the opposite side of the street, a few feet ahead of him. With her there, he felt invincible.
And bored. Ling was feeling bored. There hadn't been an assassination attempt in at least four months, so he called out to his bodyguard.
"Ran Fan!"
Ran Fan turned around, looking horrified. "Shut up, Prince! Do you want to get in trouble?"
"No. I haven't been attached in a while. Come back here and walk with me."
Ran Fan sighed. "Yes, Prince." She crossed the street and walked next to Ling.
"It's annoying when you call me that. Can't you just call me 'Ling', like you do at school?"
"I call you Ling at school because other people might find it strange if I called you 'prince'."
Ling smiled and grabbed Ran Fan's bun, pulling the tie out of it and letting her hair fall into her face.
"Hey!" Ran Fan grabbed at the hair tie, blushing. "Give that back!"
"Nah-ah!" Ling placed a hand on Ran Fan's head. "You're cute when you blush."
"Sh-shut up!" Ran Fan blushed an even darker shade of red.
Okay! I apologize! I meant to have this up a long time ago, and I wanted it to be longer (mush longer), but… bleh. Sorry.
