It was two days later. The warriors were packing up things they needed for their long journey to Beijing. Ezuoju was still in handcuffs, and Po was keeping an eye on him. Tigress was still angry at him, but she didn't disobey Shifu's orders.

They stood in the courtyard. Shifu stood in front of them, Soothsayer next to him. Shifu's expression was serious. "I wish you the best of luck," he said. Soothsayer gave them a smile.

"I know you will succeed," Soothsayer told them. Shifu gave her a nod, then he pointed his cane to the valley.

"Go! Go save the Emperor's daughter!" He ordered. The Furious Five took off down the steps and Po grabbed Ezuoju. The crocodile let out a huff of annoyance and ran down with them.

Shifu's face was grave. Soothsayer looked at him and chuckled. "You are worried about that crocodile, aren't you?" She asked. Shifu looked at her, surprised.

"What? Oh, yes I am," he admitted, shifting his attention back to the animals running down the stairs. "He doesn't seem like the one to fight for the right reasons."

"He'll come to, don't worry," Soothsayer reassured. Shifu sighed and nodded.

They ran down the stairs and reached the valley. The villagers watched and cheered, holding their hands out as they ran past. Po gave them all high fives as he zoomed past them. Ezuoju gave them dirty looks, his snout stuck up in a snotty manner.

"Po!" A voice rang throughout the valley. They came to a stop, and Mr. Ping ran out with a large bag. "I have food for you!"

"Oh, thanks dad," Po smiled grabbing the bag. Ezuoju shot him a confused look.

"Dad?!" He asked. Po smiled and nodded.

"Yep!" Po clarified. Ezuoju frowned.

"He's a goose," he pointed out. Po shrugged.

"And my dad," Po responded.

"Don't question it," Viper told Ezuoju. The crocodile nodded, puzzled.

"So I heard about the Emperor's daughter," Mr. Ping noted, taking Po's paws in his wings. "Po, please, please, please be careful. I don't know what I'd do if you were hurt!"

Po gave his wings a squeeze. "I'll be fine, dad, don't worry," Po replied.

"But if the Emperor has all the greatest Kung Fu masters, then whoever stole his daughter must be dangerous!" Mr. Ping reminded him. His face was twisted in worry. Po smiled and pulled him in for a big hug. Tears welled in Mr. Ping's eyes and he hugged him as well, patting his back. "Write to me every day, okay?"

Po laughed. "I'll try," he chuckled. "Dad, I'll be fine, I'm the Dragon Warrior, remember?" He set Mr. Ping down and the goose wiped his eyes on his sleeve.

"I know, I know, son, I just love you and get scared," he reminded him. He took a deep breath and regained him. "You'll do great, I know it." He looked over at the Furious Five. "You watch over him, okay?" His gaze key Ezuoju's and he pointed his feathers at him. "And don't you dare hurt my son, or I hurt you, you dirty, dirty bandit!"

Ezuoju put his hands up and smiled mischievously. "Oh no, not the goose!" He mocked. Mr. Ping narrowed his eyes and his feathers bristled.

"Come on you two, we gotta go," Tigress interrupted. Po gave his dad another quick hug.

"Bye dad, love you," Po said, then grabbed Ezuoju's arm and ran after the Furious Five. Mr. Ping waved sadly, and some of the villagers walked over to comfort him.

They continued on their way to Beijing. They ran through forests and deserts. They took a raft down a river, and they climbed over mountains.

After a few days of traveling and plenty of stops, they decided to settle down in the mountains on an outcrop. It was windy, and flurries of snow fluttered in the air. The outcrop had a cave, and they stayed in the cave. Their feet hurt, and they say massaging them.

"Anyone hungry?" Po asked, taking his bag and pulling out the food. The answer was obviously yes. Po distributed the vegetables his dad had packed for him. They grabbed the vegetables and ate them hungrily.

"Man, I'm tired," Mantis yawned and finished his food, laying down on the ground. Monkey finished his and laid down next to him.

"I'm tired too bestie," Monkey told Mantis, wrapping his tail around himself. Mantis rested his head on Monkey's furry arm.

The snow came down harder outside. Crane set his hat down next to him. "How lucky are we that we found this cave right before the storm hit?" Crane laughed. Viper smiled at him.

"Really lucky, we would have frozen," she giggled. She took another bite of her food.

Ezuoju sat the farthest back in the cave. Po handed him a turnip, but he shook his head.

"No thank you, I'm not hungry," he refused. Po stared at him, concerned.

"But you haven't eaten all day, and there still is a long trek tomorrow," Po pointed out. Ezuoju turned his back on Po.

"I'm not hungry," he repeated.

"Just a little bite?" Po pleaded. Suddenly, Ezuoju stood up and spun around angrily, causing the dust on the ground to flurry up. He bares his fangs, and the Furious Five jumped to their feet, ready to fight if need be it.

"Couldn't you hear?" Ezuoju spat. "I'm not hungry." He shifted his gaze over to the Furious Five, who were in their battle stances. "No need to look so angry. I'm in cuffs, see?" He lifted his arms, which were chained together. The Furious Five relaxed.

"Get some rest, we head out at sunrise," Tigress ordered. They laid down and Monkey looked at Mantis.

"If we can even see with this snowstorm outside," he joked. Mantis laughed and they quickly fell asleep, exhausted from all their traveling.

Po, surprisingly, was restless. He stood up and walked outside, standing in the cold snow. He looked up at the sky and frowned as the snow came down harder. He thought about him bringing Ezuoju along, and pondered if it was a mistake. The others, especially Tigress, didn't seem too thrilled about the idea. Shifu must've thought he was an idiot. Po felt his cheeks growing red and he sat down, sighing.

"Something the matter?" A feminine voice asked. Po whipped around to see Viper slithering up to him. Po looked at her, surprised at seeing her out so late at night. She smiled sweetly at him.

"You seem upset," she noted. Po rubbed his arms and shook his head.

"W-what? Upset? N-no, I'm not upset!" Po objected. Viper chuckled and put the tip of her tail on Po's shoulder, and his body relaxed.

"Po, you can talk to me," she informed. Po put his hand on his face and dragged it down, taking a deep breath.

"You and the rest of the five probably hate me right now, because I'm such an idiot," Po whined, avoiding her gaze. "I mean, you must be upset about this whole bandit thing!"

Viper nodded and looked into the distance. "I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, Po, it was stupid."

Po flattened his ears to his head and frowned. "Thanks a lot Viper," he murmured.

"But," she started again, wrapping herself around him in a hug, "I think if you really work hard, you can make it work."

Po turned his head to look at her, a small smile playing on his face. "Really?" He asked. Viper nodded.

"Po, we make bad calls. I've made mistakes that cost us battles." Viper told him, bringing him closer in a tighter hug. "Things can cloud our judgement, like pride, or wanting to impress others. I know that, Po. And if this bandit ends up betraying us, yes, we are gonna blame you, but we'll understand you just wanted to make a difference, and you were putting the Emperor's daughter first." She grinned and turned. "Po, we'll make sure he doesn't try anything funny. Now come inside before you get frostbite in your toes!" With that, she slithered back into the cave.

Po thought about what she said before realizing he couldn't feel his toes. He stood up, panicking and running around, stomping his feet to get the blood flowing back in them. Eventually, the feeling came back, and it burned, but he headed back into the cave and laid down, quickly falling asleep, feeling more at ease.

The next day, the snow had stopped. The air was still cold, and their breaths were visible. They got up at sunrise. Po grabbed Ezuoju's chains and pulled him out of the cave. He groaned and bared his sharp teeth, but Po ignored him and pulled him along.

They reached the end of the mountain range. They stood on top of a mountain and stared down into the valley below. There stood the magnificent city of Beijing, with the Emperor's palace right in the center. It was a glorious mix of colors, made of jade, ruby, sapphire, amethyst, topaz, and various other gems. It was easily the most beautiful palace in all of China. They gasped, not ever having seen it before.

"It's so much more beautiful than every painting I've ever seen of it!" Po gawked.

They started their descent down. It was steep and slippery. Rocks rolled down as they walked. But eventually they got to the bottom, and were now in the city of Beijing.

"Can you believe it? We're in the capital city of China, and the city of the last known dragons in existence!" Po breathed. Monkey snickered.

"What are they gonna do when Baoshí dies? I mean, she's the last dragon, what's gonna rule China next? A pig?" He laughed. Mantis laughed too, punching him lightly in the shoulder as he rode on him.

"If Baoshí is even alive, that is," Tigress growled. Monkey and Mantis grew quiet, fearing the worst.

They walked through the streets of Beijing. They were much busier than any other place they've been before, the sounds of loud chattering and animals working echoed throughout the city. On every corner, animals pestered them, asking them to buy their product. They ignored them and continued walking, heading toward the palace.

"Woah, this place is huge! Each neighborhood must have twice as many people than the Valley of Peace!" Po mused. Crane shook his head, smiling.

"Pfft, more like three times as much!" Crane corrected. Po nodded at him excitedly.

They reached the palace. Large walls surrounded it, and when they approached them, rhino guards with spears charged at them. Tigress rose her hand.

"The Emperor summoned us, the Dragon Warrior and the Furious Five," she said. The lead guard huffed and pulled back his spear, eyeing them suspiciously.

"Alright, follow us," he ordered, turning and heading toward the wall. "Open the gate!" He shouted. The gate opened and they walked inside. Multiple guards followed them, holding their spears pointed at them, just in case they tried anything.

They door opened to the palace, and the seven animals gasped. It was adorned with even more gems, but it had top-notch paintings and sculptures that only the richest people could buy. The place sparkled and shined. They walked down the hallways. It was huge. The ceiling was high above them. They turned a corner and were met with a large room. There, upon a gold throne, sat the Emperor.

Po and the Furious Five dropped to their knees and bowed, lowering their heads to the ground. Ezuoju let out a hiss, but one of the guards shoved the spear in his face and he quickly dropped down and bowed. The Emperor looked down on them, his eyes narrowed. He was large, his tail draping over the side of the throne. He had a yellow mustache that hung at the sides, and he had piercing orange eyes. His body was a deep red, with yellow spikes. He wore a green robe made with silk. There was a heavy, mighty aura about him.

"Stand up," he ordered. They rose back up. They didn't look him in his eyes, their gazes not fit to meet his. He took a deep breath. "Po, the Dragon Warrior." He smiled as the words rolled off his tongue.

"It's an honor to meet you, Emperor," Po stated. The Emperor smiled and leaned back in his throne.

"The Furious Five," he looked at them and they dipped their heads. His eyes traveled until they landed on Ezuoju. "Hm. And who is that?"

Po grew nervous. "O-oh! T-this is Ezuoju! He's a... Bandit..." Po stuttered, his voice trailing off. The Furious Five glared at him.

"A bandit in my palace?" The Emperor growled. Po bowed down again.

"Your Majesty, w-we saw him fighting... He's good at Kung Fu! I believe he'll be beneficial..." He looked up at the Emperor, who was glaring at him. "A-and he already agreed to help us find your daughter!"

The Emperor opened his mouth to say something, but another rhino guard walked in the room. "Your Majesty," he said, "we have another warrior." Another group of guards walked in, and in the middle was Mei Ling.

Crane gasped. His heart started to race. She looked over at him and emotions painting a large grin on her face. Then she noticed the Emperor and dropped to her knees, bowing.

"You must be Mei Ling," the Emperor stated. Po gasped and looked at Mei Ling, and then at Crane, and then at Mei Ling, and then at Crane. The Emperor smiled. "You two must know each other."

"Y-yeah," Crane stammered, looking over at Mei Ling, blushing. "We met at the Lee Da Kung Fu Academy in the Gansu Province." He looked over at her sweetly. "She's the one who got me into Kung Fu." Mei Ling smiled and nodded.

"Very nice," the Emperor spoke. "Now, let me explain who took my daughter." His face twisted in anguish, and for a moment, it looked like he was about to cry. But his eyes flashed open and he regained his majestic demeanor. "I have an idea on who may have kidnapped her. The Wu Sisters."

Po jumped up, his eyes wide. "The Wu Sisters? You mean the sisters that killed-"

"Yes," the Emperor cut him off, obviously not wanting to talk about it. "I banished them to Mongolia, but they must be back for revenge, and that includes my Baoshí." He frowned, looking down at them. "I need you to set off after them, and bring my little girl back. I want you to stop the Wu Sisters. Dead or alive, I don't care how they end up, as long as my daughter is brought back safely."

"We'll get her back, your Majesty," Tigress said, then they all got on their knees and bowed. The Emperor smiled and dipped his head.

"You must go now," he ordered. They stood back up and the guards ushered them outside. When they were gone, the Emperor put his hand on his face and sighed sadly.

"My poor baby girl..." He murmured. "She must be so scared."

"Woah! I cannot believe we just met the Emperor!" Po yelled, walking a bit out of line. A guard growled and poked him lightly with the spear. "Oh, sorry," he apologized, joining back with the group.

"It's an honor to meet you, Mei Ling, and an even greater honor to be fighting alongside you." Tigress looked at her, and she smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

"I can't believe I'm fighting alongside the Furious Five, and the great Dragon Warrior!" She mused. They grinned at her.

They exited the palace and headed back into the busy streets of Beijing. Crane hurried up to walk beside her.

"Hey Crane," she greeted. Crane shot a glance at her, rubbing the back of his neck with his wing.

"Oh, uh, um, hi," he replied, looking away awkwardly. Mei Ling chuckled and looked at her feet.

"It's been a long time since we're seen each other." She tilted her head to the side. "How many years?"

"A lot," Crane responded. She nodded and laughed.

"I can't believe you're part of the Furious Five. Ever since I first saw you that day, cleaning up the school, I knew you would become a great warrior." She told him. He stared at her, feeling his cheeks burn. He looked into her eyes, and they were silent for a moment as they walked.

"So, um, what do you do?" He asked timidly. She returned her attention of the road.

"The villagers of the Xiaohua village appointed me as their protector," she told him. "It's a beautiful village."

"Oh, I've never been. Maybe you can show me sometime." He shut his beak quickly, regretting what he had just said. He hoped Mei Ling didn't find him awkward and creepy.

But she just smiled and giggled. "I'd love to," she meowed. A wave of relief rushed over Crane.

Po ran beside Mei Ling and beamed at her. "I cannot believe I am with you, Mei Ling!" Po mused. "Crane has told me so much about you!"

Mei Ling looked over at Crane. "Oh, really?" She asked. Crane shrugged and chuckled nervously.

"Yeah! How you're a great fighter and you were the best in the school!" He replied. She nodded, grinning.

Suddenly, a pig ran up to them, gasping for air. "Did you... Hear... About the Xiǎo Shíchéng village?" The pig heaved. The group looked at each other.

"No..." Mantis' voice trailed off.

"A pack of dholes attacked it!" The pig squealed. He looked them over with his brown eyes. "I mean, you are the Dragon Warrior and the Furious Five, right?"

"Yes," Viper informed.

"So, you must be able to save that village and capture the bandits!" The pig yelled, waving his hooves in the air. Po narrowed his eyes and smirked.

"We'll do whatever it takes to aid that village and bring those dholes to justice!" He snickered, and the eight headed on their way.
