Why can't we be friends?

A/N: I'm sure the previous chapter felt a bit boring, so hopefully my brain can come up with something while I'm under the weather.

Sombra's POV

On the brightside, I made my first friend yesterday; the only downside is I still don't have my cape. "Fluttershy. Where is my cape?" I asked slightly groggy, stumbling from the bed. Wait the bed. Going downstairs, I stood in front of her, saying, "After I told you I refused to use your bed, you defied me. I never took you for a stubborn type."

Becoming slightly confused, she replied, "Well, you just looked…uncomfortable, and I woke up early so I put you in my bed. Sorry, oh, here's your, um, cape."

Holding out the crimson fabric, I took it and repositioned it, thanking her afterwards.

"It looked dirty, but sorry it took so long to wash."

"It's fine. I expected it to…become like that after my second imprisonment." I mumbled, getting a whiff something pleasant emitting from my cape. Sniffing it, I asked, "What did you put on my cape?"

"Detergent." She answered simply, walking past me.

It's wonderful, once I retake the Crystal Empire, I'll be using this on my wardrobe from now on.

'Maybe I could be friends with her.' The sudden thought startled me as I watched her cater to animals that came to her home. It would be unethical, I'm a king and as of right now she's nothing more than common folk.

Noticing her looking at me, I questioned, "What? What is it?"

Her cheeks suddenly flushed pink, as she stammered, "Oh, um, nothing. Nothing at all."

Not to mention her overbearing friends. Or at least the ones I've come into personal contact with.

"Sombra? Are you okay?" Her soft voice asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I nodded, replying, "I'm assuming you're going to meet up with your friends this evening."

She hummed in reply, saying, "I'm sure you can keep Discord company; if you want to, while I'm gone."

"Of course." I replied, hiding my disgust of the draconequus. Honestly, I wouldn't be so annoyed by him if he hadn't talked my ear to death when I was free. Adding to the fact, all I wanted to do was make everyone my slaves again; alas, from my elongated imprisonment I was too weak. Then, he decided to whisk me off to Princess Celestia and have me sentenced to rehabilitation; I am no junkie or drunkard. Oh, well, I guess having the Crystal Empire in peace is what father always wanted.

Turning away from my thoughts, as she left, I sighed deciding to explore some more of the cottage before the god of chaos barged in.

"Oh, Sombra!" He sang, appearing in front of me.

I groaned lowly, glaring at him as he hugged me. "What do you want?" I gritted out resisting the urge to shove him outside.

"I heard Fluttershy went out to the gang, so it's just you and me, pal." He exclaimed, hugging me tighter.

"Great." I said, sarcasm seeping out of my lips. It seems as if I'll be stuck with this fool until the mare gets back, just my luck.

A/N: Sorry this took so long, school is kicking my butt right now. I bet if all we had to do was write fanfiction, then I'd be passing all of my classes, alas that's not the case. I'll update when I can. Review please.
