Inuyasha crossover RED 2
Chapter 7: Recuperation
He woke up the next morning to see Kagome sleeping on the sofa, curled up on it as she slept looking so peaceful. With him taking up her space in bed, she was not really given much of a choice, and it made him feel somewhat guilty about it. When Han reaches out to slip a hand to her back, the Kagome's quick reflexes grabbed him by his wrist in a twist as she shot her eyes open in a fierce look.
"How is your body feeling at the moment," Kagome said as she released his hand all together, up righting herself as she stretched her body a little, causing her top to rise and show her belly.
Han remained quiet as he watched her, how was he to reply. As compared to the usual her, the her now is more innocent and casual when Kagome would usually be full of sharp thorns. The gentleness in her words reminds him of when they first met, but the her then was even sexier.
"Drink this," she ordered him, bringing to him another fresh cup of the herbal tea that she had been brewing for him recently. Again it was routine it seemed, for him to hesitate or take a moment too long to contemplate over the drink that she had been practically shoving down his throat.
"Stop being stubborn Han and drink it, it's to help with expelling the poison that might be lingering in your system," she told him, setting it down on the coffee table as she took a sit not too far from him.
Han was currently more trouble than she had expected, that night was really like a test run, in the field, and though he was barely protecting himself, they were still the weaker ones that will overwhelm him in a fight soon enough. Kagome breath out a sigh at the current problem that she is looking at, Han, her supposed bodyguard seems to need their protection more than she.
Rrrrrrinnngg…Rrrrrrinnngg…
"Shippo?" Kagome questioned as she gave Han a pointed look, ordering him to drink it up with her eyes before she turned her back to him as she answer the phone.
Han looked at the drink, swirled the ominous dark liquid in the cup before drinking it down as fast as he could as he got up to bring the cup to kitchen, but Kagome returned to take it with her to the kitchen. It was like she has a sixth sense or something knowing that he would have been done with the herbal drink by then. It was almost like he was married with the way she would be mothering him from time to time. Awkward is the right word, he was not too sure of how it usually would be like since he had never given it a try with the number of enemies that he has.
When Kagome came back in after making the phone call, she looked at him in a scrutinizing manner for quite a while. Even when Han had asked her in an annoyed "What," Kagome did not say anything but look at him in silent contemplation as though deep in thought.
"Go back and rest," Kagome told Han after a while to which he turned his head away from facing her as though not acknowledging what she was saying.
"Go rest Han Cho-Bai," Kagome told him again, her voice this time in a commanding tone that usually leave no place for others to disobey.
"I've rested enough, I'm be taking my leave now," Han said finally as he stood up to make a move, "So, thank you for your hospitality, I've overstayed my leave," he told her firmly already going back to her room to pick up his clothes that he saw earlier, hung neatly and cleaned.
Kagome followed after him into her room, determine to have him stay until she was sure that he is well rested. "And I insist that you stay here until I'm satisfied that you've no more poison in your system,"
When Han made no indication of hearing her, Kagome walked up to him as she stood in front of him, blocking whichever way he was trying to get past her as he grew more annoyed by the minute. When he had enough of her games, Han grabbed her upper arms with his hand as he moved her around so that he could get to the door.
"You know, there are a lot of easier ways that I could make you stay, and not all will be nicer than me insisting that you do so at the moment," Kagome told him with a cold pointed look, her eyes promising to carry out what she mentioned to him.
Han stood there contemplating for a moment it seemed but did not gave it a second thought as he walked around of her to leave. Kagome placed a hand on his shoulder, her grip suddenly stronger than the normal human it seemed as it caught his attention. When Han tried to brush her hand away as gently as he could, it seemed that Kagome would have none of it as she grabbed his wrist, applying slight pressure there before he withdrew his hand.
He was then on the offensive, eyes searching Kagome's own who was in a position ready to tackle him down it seemed. Han rubbed the area where she had pressed her finger in to cause him pain in that pressure point. He had a sideward smile upon his face and not the easy-going or nice kind, it made Kagome cautious of it as she waited and prepared for him to move. Han's movement was quick but Kagome was quicker as she blocked him easily without fail.
It was invigorating, but he noticed that never once did Kagome tried to attack him, as though waiting for him to stop. It was in that flash when he saw her eyes suddenly narrowed dangerously, Han was close to not able in dodging her attack.
"I'm going to say this nicely again, stop and just stay put and rest here," Kagome told him again, and gave him a few minutes to think about it even whilst blocking his attacks.
"Seriously, you can be so damn stubborn," Kagome growled out as she quickened her pace, just a little bit more and already he was stumbling a little in blocking her off.
And with the right timing and moment, Kagome hit the pressure point in his neck area to knock him out as his eyes showed shock, before his body slacken and fell forward into unconsciousness. Kagome was however there to catch him, and soften his otherwise possible painful 'kiss' with the ground.
"Really," Kagome said in exasperation as she half dragged half carried him to her room.
Putting him to bed honesty is the easy part, she sigh as she picked up her phone making the call as it started ringing.
"Hello, we have about half an hour before he comes round, move fast," Kagome said to the person on the other line before hanging up the call as she looked at his sleeping form for a little more before grabbing some clothes to go change.
When Han came about he was looking up at an unfamiliar ceiling, even the place smelled unfamiliar. He jumped out of his bed, the covers slipping his body as he found himself still wearing the same outfit, but dizziness got to him as he brought a hand up to the part of his head that is throbbing badly.
His eyes closed for a moment as the dizziness got to him before settling he looked up this time his movements slight slow as he focus on looking around his surrounding, the place does not look like a cell or prison. The room is simple furnished in the traditional Japanese style, tatami lined floor, a raise futon bed along with a clean room where a table was pushed to the side.
"You're awake," Kagome said, sliding the door open as she got up from a kneeling position before entering the room, half squatting again as she closed the sliding door.
It's a practice move that he does not often see, perhaps except in videos. His eyes hardened into cold onyx stones as he followed her every move. The garb that she was wearing was something that came somewhat of a factor that he would never pegged her for, a miko garb worn by the shrine priestess of Japan.
"You're in the guest room, in a secured place," Kagome told him as she sat herself comfortable on the floor in the traditional manner, her hands on her lap as she studied the other.
"You drugged me," he accused,
"Not me, a member of our staff actually," she corrected him as Kagome patiently sat near where the table had been pushed towards to so that he would not bump into it should he wake up and suddenly started to walk about clumsily.
He growled, storming up towards her with heavy footsteps as he reached out to grab her, but was instead slapped away by her hand as he lunged at her but met the floor instead.
"Please don't start this again," Kagome told him coolly as her eyes practically glared daggers at him.
Han did not say anything in reply, but instead reached out for the he, of her garb as he dragged her down the ground with him, having her in a choke hold to which Kagome struggled against him for a moment. She has always been a difficult one, and he did not doubt that she would act otherwise now.
"Stop this," She growled, jabbing his elbow into his stomach as she threw her weight backwards against him, and getting out with a light pant.
He growled at her silently, his eyes promising a lot of pain and death, and it did not faze her at all. There are other worse things that she had experienced before, death being one of them, and torture. He flipped her down, their fight getting rather heated up as Kagome was forced to go a little offensive against him, but most of the time still on defensive with Han.
"Are you done," Kagome demanded in annoyance as she started to blocking his attacks and using his momentum against him, as he was more than often thrown to the side or the floor.
They would have continued for a long while had it not been for Shippo who entered the room and watched the going on between them.
"You should just hand him his ass on a silver platter," Shippo told Kagome as he left the shoji door wide open and stood at the doorway, dressed comfortable in the traditional hakama set for male.
"Shippo," Kagome greeted him with a grimace at his suggestion to her.
"Let me help," Shippo said as he took out the rock that he used to play as a child threw it in Han's direction as it grew bigger and held Han face down on the floor as he struggled against it.
Han realized that the more he struggled, the more it weighed even heavily upon him to the point that it was beyond his own limit as he stayed motionless. Shippo had over the years already perfected his skill, and now has more tolerance and power enough to hold it for weeks if needed.
"That would have been unnecessary," Kagome said as she watched a struggling Han trying to lift the weight once in a while.
"Get it off me," he growled, his voice rather muffled up as Han tried to get rid of the rock again.
Shippo glance at Han in a show of mock consideration, before declining his demand and told Kagome that Sesshoumaru is calling them for a meeting. Had it not been for Kagome giving him a scolding look and the tapping of her foot with her arms crossed before of her chest, Shippo would like not grant Han that demand.
"Fine, however, Han Cho-Bai, I would do well and behave," Shippo warned him as he recalled his stone, watching it disappear in a puff of smoke as Han felt the weight disappeared.
He should be stunned at what had just happened, but it was the opposite and he was more annoyed and angry at them than at the magical that had happened. Even if he is shocked at it, Han did not show it on his face as he held a permanent scowl upon his brow, taking in his surrounding as his mind started mapping the place and the possible escape routes.
"You're late," a cool voice called out through the door that was about 10 steps or so away from them.
There was never a need to raise the voice, but Han could hear it clearly as though someone had said it beside of his ears. Shippo flinched a little turning to glance at Kagome in a silent begging manner. She sighed as Kagome walked before of Shippo and took the lead to enter the room.
"Hello Sesshoumaru, our guest was being difficult," she told him as she took at sit not too far from his side,
Shippo scurried in to take up the seat next to her, leaving Han to look at him as he eyed the three of them.
"Han Cho Bai," Sesshoumaru said looking at him with piercing eyes as his eyes looked up at the other from the paper documents that he held in his hands, causing Han to look at it for a moment to perhaps catch a glimpse of it.
For once he remained silent observing the three of them and the heavy mood in the air, as they now seemed to ignore his very presence in the room. Unlike most situations that he had been in, and that is saying from quite a number, this was the first, and he hated it at the moment for feeling so easily intimidated.
"You agreed with Shippo that I needed a bodyguard without my consent, you deal with the current situation," Kagome informed them, as her tone carries a dangerous edge to it that did not waver.
The male known as Sesshoumaru with silver white hair and an overly youthful appearance turn his eyes that are like golden honey turned dangerously towards her. He's a deadly beauty for sure, a beautiful male that he had not really expected to use the term 'beautiful' on. Han has no idea on what is going on, but he does have somewhat of a vague idea on the few possibilities.
"Your impudence Miko, never fails you in such reckless behavior even after centuries has passed," he informed her in a tone that was too monotonous but cold at the same time that it seem rather harmless.
"Very amusing Lord Sesshoumaru," Kagome told him dryly, and there it was, the slight sparking in the air that is around of her that made Shippo flinch away from her a little and there is some distance between them as well.
"Miko," Sesshoumaru barked out in warning, his head turned to look at her in such intensity that the room seemed to have risen in temperature.
Their eyes met as more sparks flew, and Han felt the tightening in his chest, feeling jealous of their current exchange even if there is nothing but silence.
"Please stop this," Shippo told them, feeling suffocated at the moment as he tried not to let it show on his face or in front of Han.
They did not listen to him, knowing well that Shippo could handle himself, especially when he was the one that had followed her around for years during their travel and grew up with her guidance. When they did turn their head to look away before their attention fell upon him again.
Kagome looked at Shippo for a moment longer than usual as the air continues to spark for that time period, before it settled down to become calmer. The new changes has a calming effect upon Han, but not too much upon Sesshoumaru from what he saw upon his face, but then again the other's face lack any kind of expression at all.
"Your protectiveness over him is annoying miko," Sesshoumaru told her in their native language as Kagome glared at the other, but it caught Shippo's attention as he watches the expression upon Kagome's face.
"He's right," Shippo replied as he reached out to take her hand, gently rubbing the back of it that had Han practically glaring a hole into Shippo despite of his supposed indifference or annoyance at them.
The only female amongst them remained quiet not wanting to answer any of them as she looked annoyed, taking her hand away from Shippo's as she crossed her arms beneath her chest, cross her legs as well while doing so.
"What do you want to talk about with us all here," Kagome demanded already annoyed and wants nothing more than to leave the room ASAP.
