Hey! I am SO sorry that this took so long! Please forgive me! *falls to knees and begins to plead*

ANYWAYS… … … this is relatively short, and is basically only half of the chapter that I was hoping to write, but I hope that this will give you something to munch on until I somehow find time to write more.

Also, I am very grateful for all of your continued support, especially the reviews. Your positive feedback is the reason that I am continuing this story!:)

Enjoy!

Bunny POV:

Bunny knew immediately that something was wrong.

There seemed to be a particular atmosphere about the place that made his heart quicken in unease. It made the harsh arctic wind seem to cut deeper under his skin and robbed the snow of its picturesque shine. The overcast skies appeared to be tainted with an eerie black sheen.

It took a minute for Bunny to shake himself free from this gut feeling. The oversized rabbit sniffed the air, combing through it for the winter spirit's scent. After a few tries, Bunnymund caught on to a faint scent. Without a second thought, the Pooka began to sprint deeper into Antarctica, hoping that he would find Jack and apologize quickly so that he could return home and prop his freezing feet up by a fire.

Eventually, Bunny came to a small cave. Jack's scent was fairly fresh, maybe an hour old, but it soon became evident to him that there was an older scent there as well. Out of curiosity, the rabbit peeked inside the little opening in the ice. Bunny expected to find a home of sorts, to find a bed and perhaps a few sentimental objects that he had accumulated over the years, but he was wrong. His heart sank at what he saw. What looked like millions of names where inscribed on the glittering ice walls, and it didn't take long for Bunnymund to figure out whose names they were.

Selfish

How could he have been so wrong! Jack hadn't disregarded all of the people who died in his season, he has been beating himself up about it for who knows how long, and it isn't even his fault. Bunny cursed himself for what he had done, for all of those times that he had yelled at Jack after seeing a child motionless on the sidewalk after slipping on black ice or catching a glimpse of a car accident in a blizzard.

Turning his back on the cave as if is would make everything he had done disappear, he readied himself to resume his pursuit of the winter spirit. But before he could move but a muscle, a strong odor blasted into his nose.

Blood. The sickening stench of blood. Bunny stood still as stone and sniffed the air once more. Panic began to well up inside of his stomach. What if his words hit the right spots on Jack and now, oh dear Moon, what if the kid is trying to kill himself? It would be all his fault!

Without even realizing it, Bunnymund had begun to sprint across the frozen tundra. He felt the cold that threatened to freeze his paws off disappear as adrenaline flooded into his veins. Moving faster than he ever had before, the Pooka approached a city of ice pillars that stood out against the flat landscape. The snow that covered the ground had begun to melt. Another wave of terror washed over him, as he feared that he might be too late. But a bloodcurdling scream that tore through the air quickly dispelled that idea.

As he entered the maze of ice, Bunny couldn't help but feel nauseous with the overwhelming scent of blood. And something else. Burning? Bunnymund swiftly darted through the network of icy passages. His mind was set one thing, finding Jack.

Bunny's heart skipped a beat as he took in the sight before him. A figure was backing away from the world's biggest bloodstain. In the center was a bulge of burnt and bloodied fabric.

Oh Man In Moon, I am too late

Once again, I am sorry that this is so short, and not all that great. I will try to update as soon as I possibly can, but I am not sure when that will be.
