Loss!

A/N: Sorry this is so short but wasn't quite sure what to do with it but it is up!

Warning: Blood.

Daryl's P.O.V

We had been at the farm around a week when T-Dog decided that he was going to try on his own. No matter how much we tried to convince him it was safer with the group, he was adamant that he had to do this. Merle and I were able to convince him to allow us to put tracking and protection charms on him so that if he needed help, we could find him easily.

A few day's after T-Dog left with some supplies, weapons and a car, we faced a devastating loss.

Flashback.

We were sitting around the dining room table going over our plans on what we had to do next. Luc, Alice and Frank where keeping the children entertained outside while Shane and Maggie were away doing whatever they were doing.

"So, I'm thinking we head back to the manor. I can go over all my notes and hopefully find something in them to help with containing this and maybe a possibility of a cure." I said as everyone nodded, I went to continue but was interrupted by a childish scream.

"HARRY!" Lily and James shouted before rushing out the back door. The rest of us quickly followed. We weren't quite ready for what we saw.

Alice and Frank where using spell after spell to try and keep the walker hoard that had crept upon the farm away from the children. Lucius was on the ground blood gushing from wounds on his neck and arm.

"Aim for their heads!" Merle shouted before turning to James. "Get Lily and the kids out of here James." James nodded quickly before pulling Lily over to the kids.

"Siri, go with James." I said when he refused, I looked him in the eye, pleading with him to listen to me. "Please love, get Mika and help Lily and James get the kids to safety." As Sirius was about to open his mouth, we heard Frank shout.

"ALICE, NO!" Looking over we saw Alice on the ground before Frank was attacked from behind. Finally taking action I pushed Sirius toward the now defenseless kids and shot a bolt through a walkers head.

"Siri, get them out of here!" I shouted, finally understanding the grave situation Pads grabbed Mika and Draco and disapperated with a soft pop, James and Lily followed quickly with Harry, Neville, Carl and Sophia.

When we finally got over to our fallen, Bella, Sev and Reg took one each and disapperated with them to the highway that we had told them about. The wounds looked life threatening, but we had to try and save them. Once they where gone Merle and I went to check for anymore survivors. Rounding the house, we notice Glenn and Rick trying to get Beth and Hershel into the car where Carol was waiting. Otis and Patricia lay on the ground dead. There was no sign of Maggie or Shane.

"I won't leave without my daughter!" Hershel said. Placing a calming hand on the man's shoulder, I spoke softly.

"I'm sorry Hershel, they said they where going to the barn and it's over-run. There is no way they got out. Come on, think of Beth, she needs you now." Hershel looked defeated as he headed towards the car.

"The kids? Carl?" Rick asked.

"They are safe, head to the highway, we will meet you there." Rick nodded before climbing behind the wheel and driving off.

End flashback.

Now standing on the highway were we first lost Sophia, I felt dazed as I watched Lily and Bella try to slow the bleeding on the wounded until we could get proper medical supplies and Reg and Mooney tried to keep the kids away from their injured parents. How did this happen?

"Dar? DAR!?" Sirius' voice made its way through my cloud of thoughts.

"Ye?" I said hoarsely.

"Take Mika, I have to help James make a portkey. It's to open here." He said sadly as he handed me my son. Holding the boy close, I breathed in his sweet scent and let it calm me.

James and Siri quickly got the portkey ready to take us back to the manor. Instructing the muggles not to let go, no matter what, we all took a hold of the string and we were spinning, before coming to a stop inside the wards of Potter Manor.

"Well… Well, its nice of you to finally join me." We heard an overly joyful voice.
