Beck rolled over and let out a mammoth yawn. Rubbing his head and eyes, he examined his surroundings: he was in his RV, sprawled out on the floor. He didn't even remember going to sleep, let alone sleeping on the floor.

He'd vowed to Jade that he would stay awake all night, watching over her as she slept. Guilt crept into him. He'd failed. Hopefully Jade had fallen asleep before he had.

Sitting up, he turned his head towards his bed.

Jade wasn't there.

Beck shot up to his feet. He began frantically spinning around the RV, desperate for his eyes to lay on Jade. But she wasn't there. He threw his arms to his head in perturbability.

Feeling the walls of the RV closing in on him and becoming increasingly dizzier, he grabbed a hold of his bed for support. At first he thought his eyes were involuntary shutting, but it was the RV darkening. The floor crumbled away from him, and he felt himself falling into a dark abyss.

Beck shot up, sweating and panting. It was just a nightmare. He sighed in relief.

Just to be sure he wasn't dreaming again, Beck looked over to his bed.

Jade wasn't there.

It's just another nightmare. He assured himself.

Beck looked around. Dread overwhelmed him when he saw the door was ajar.

It's just another nightmare.

Various items lay strewn across the RV. There was drops of blood on the carpet.

It's just another nightmare. It's just another nightmare.

He tried to wake himself up- but his efforts were in vain. The horrible truth hit him: he was awake, and Jade was gone.
