Chapter 7
Meanwhile on a distant planet called Galaluna-a once peaceful planet now turned into ruins, with its people now enslaved by a vicious alien race known as the Mutradii—the King of Galaluna was being punched across the face by the leader of the Mutradii and the former general of Galaluna's military, Modula, in his own ruined castle.
"Tell me," Modula asked, "How do your daughter and the other two keep on defeating my monsters?" Modula was specifically referring to the way 3 of his most powerful monsters had just been killed, even when they all arrived on Earth at once.
"I told you, I don't know!" The King answered. Modula sneered. It was a lie and he could tell.
"Very well, then. I'll use an alternative way to find out." Modula withdrew a little device with a red button from the folds of his coat and clicked on it. A mysterious figure wearing high tech battle armor came into the room.
"What is thy bidding, my master?" The mysterious figure asked.
"Go to Earth and discover what's going on, then and report back to me," Modula commanded him. "If anyone gets in your way, kill them, and above all do not fail me."
"It will be done, my lord." The mysterious figure replied before immediately leaving for his new mission. The mysterious figure walked to a bridge platform that led him into his ship and sat down in the cockpit, setting his course towards Earth. As the ship took off and flew out of Galaluna and into space, Modula activated the rift gate, a machine that would create a portal so that the spy's ship would instantly appear near Earth's orbit.
Meanwhile back on Earth, inside of a house in Sherman, Illinois, lived Ilana, the princess of Galaluna, as well as her two protectors, Lance and Octus. They were trying to resume their previous lives after Octus mysteriously came back to life just in time to defeat the three giant Mutradii beasts that had appeared recently. Octus, in the form of Mr. Lunis, was cooking up lunch for the two teens.
His robotic mind was still lingering on the recent events. He had no idea who or what was able to reactivate him even though his energy had been drained completely by an electrical creature back at the G3 space station. Perhaps he would never know. What mattered was that he was back, and so was Titan, and now he and Lance could continue to protect Ilana from any threat, Mutradii or otherwise. His thoughts drifted back to his current task of cooking lunch for Lance and Ilana.
Ilana was on her balcony in her room, watching the neighborhood outside. Like Octus, her mind was lingering on the recent events earlier: the death and mysterious resurrection of Octus, when she went into hiding with Lance, battling against General Steel and his H.M.E.R. robot in the skies around G3's ship, and battling the three Mutradii beasts. She wondered to herself: could they continue facing off the Mutradii and any other threats by themselves? It seemed like they could after what had happened recently, but she wasn't completely confident. G3 was a good first start on making allies, but Ilana wanted more than that; she wanted to start an alliance with any of Earth's mightiest heroes willing to help them fight off the Mutradii—and from what she had heard there were certainly a lot of them. She had been thinking about this since they first arrived on Earth and she had first heard of these other heroes. Since they weren't in any danger today, she decided that today would be the day where she would tell Lance and Octus her idea. So she walked out of her room and went downstairs, smelling the food that Octus was cooking for her and Lance. She went into the kitchen and sat down, waiting for Lance.
Lance was in his room doing pushups. Like Ilana and Octus, his mind too was lingering on the recent events that had happened, from Octus' death on G3's space station to when they had defeated the three giant Mutradii beasts. After what had happened to Octus, he still wasn't sure if he could trust anyone who claimed that they wanted to help them fight off Mutradii. Ilana, however, was different; he knew that by now she was probably thinking of some plan to establish a network of allies to help them fight Mutradii. But despite all that had happened to them recently, he still believed they could handle this alone. All he wanted was to protect the princess so that Galaluna's hope would survive until they could go home—whenever that time came.
Glancing at his clock, Lance saw that it was midday, so Octus was probably done cooking their lunches for them. He walked out of his room and went downstairs into the kitchen, where Ilana and Octus were already waiting for him. He sat down in a chair as Octus finally gave them their lunches.
"Lance, Octus, we need to talk," Ilana told her guardians as they began eating. She could see that Lance's expression changed to irritation. She ignored that and went on.
"I think it's time that we establish a network of allies to help us with our fight against the Mutradii, in light of what's happened to us recently."
Lance sighed. He was right; Ilana was proposing exactly what he had predicted. He replied:
"Ilana, I know it's been hard for us lately, what with everything that's happened to us recently, but we can't risk doing this. It's for our own protection, especially yours."
"So you want us to just keep on doing this until they eventually bring an army to Earth?! We need all the help that we can get!" Ilana exclaimed as she stood from her chair, trying to control her frustration with her guardian.
"We tried to help with G3, and look what happened; it nearly cost Octus his life!" Lance exclaimed in reply.
"You seem to think that we three can just handle the Mutradii and any other threats by ourselves. Haven't you ever thought asking someone's help for once?" Ilana pleaded. Octus didn't want to see the two arguing, especially during their first meal since all the events that had happened, so he tried to ease the tension.
"Ilana, Lance, how about we just enjoy our lunches before they start getting cold. We can discuss this issue later, since it seems to be of grave importance to both of you," Octus said.
Ilana and Lance ended their argument for a bit and sat back in their chairs to resume eating. She should have known just asking wouldn't have worked, Ilana thought, and she was beginning to doubt whether she could get Lance on board at all. But then a light of hope came as Lance turned on their kitchen TV to the latest news. A woman was talking about the abnormally high ghost sightings in a town called Amity Park.
"Police in Amity Park are on the defensive as ghost sightings are increasing all throughout the town. Precautions are being made to ensure the safety of the citizens of Amity Park," The woman reported.
"Those people sound like they need our help. We have to do something!" Ilana told her guardians..
"Our mission is to take down the Mutradii threatening you, not some ghost monsters," Lance replied. "There's no point for us to be there. A bunch of ghosts won't hurt you."
"I know what my father ordered you to do, but I can't just stand by and let this happen to the people of Earth, especially if there's something we can do to help."
"I understand your sympathy, but we have to remain hidden, especially after being forced to draw so much attention to ourselves. We don't want any more trouble right now, and jumping into some situation for no reason other than helping a bunch of people we don't know could bring trouble," Lance told her.
"I am afraid I must concur with Lance," Octus agreed. "The risk is too great. We should let the Earth defend itself; there are many other heroes besides us that can come to Amity Park's aid."
"But this would be the perfect time to establish a network of allies!" Ilana insisted. "They'd all be in one place, and I'm sure most of them would be willing to help us, especially if we helped them."
"Ilana, no. This idea of yours is just flawed on so many levels," Lance told her. "First off, like I said before, it's none of our business what happens in Amity Park. Secondly, I don't think a bunch of strangers are going to be willing to help us, especially since they don't know who we are very well, since we've been keeping our identities a secret."
"Some of the other heroes have secret identities, too!" Ilana protested, but Lance wasn't finished.
"Third, even if we could somehow convince other people to abandon their own problems and help us if we clear up some ghosts for them, would they even be capable of helping us? Most of them don't have any experience fighting giant monsters, and they can't all turn into a giant robot like we can. They'd just get killed trying to help us. Isn't that right, Octus? Octus?" But Octus had frozen, sensing an anomaly in space.
"The rift gate has opened." Octus announced. "It is a vessel. Most unusually, its point of impact is at Amity Park, not Sherman."
"Looks like we have a reason to go to Amity Park now!" Said Ilana, trying to hide her enthusiasm.
"Fine," Lance groaned. "We'll go to Amity Park but only for the Mutradii. No distractions while we're there, and no fighting a bunch of ghosts. Who knows what they could do to our machinery."
Ilana was excited to get her plan into action as the trio went outside into their backyard. After making sure no one was watching, Lance and Ilana pressed a button on their watches and transformed into their robotic suit modes: Manus and Corus, respectively. Octus deactivated his holographic disguise of Mr. Lunis and went into his true form: a high-tech bio-cybernetic robot. The group flew high into the skies and above the clouds to avoid being seen from the ground, heading north towards Amity Park.
But they weren't going there alone. A US military tank had been mobilized after the alien had been detected and was currently rolling through the woods. Inside the tank were two soldiers and the Titan crew's arch-nemesis from the H.M.E.R events, General Julius Steel.
"Plot a course for interception, mobilize the infantry, and let's get them before them the G3 boys," Steel ordered.
"Sir, you do realize the unidentified craft has landed in Amity Park?" one of the soldiers asked.
"Yeah? So?"
"There's a lot of ghost activity going on there right now."
"So? We can kill two birds with one stone. Well, three, actually; Titan, the alien, and some ghosts!" Steel explained.
At that same moment, inside the G3 hovercraft ship, the upcoming alien was also detected by G3 analysts. A G3 soldier walked into a room where G3 leader's Solomon was to report the situation.
"Sir, an unidentified object has as just entered Earth's atmosphere."
"I know," Solomon replied. "Assemble Team Delta. Remember, this thing was sighted over Amity Park. This could be…problematic."
