Four Years Later

"Stop being such a dick Karkat." Sollux reminded as he held his sword tightly in his hand.

"Tsk. Sorry, I didn't know you were too much of a wuss to accept the truth." Karkat told sarcastically. He threw the sickle at Sollux, aiming directly at the apple on top of his head. The sickle stuck to the tree upside down with the apple sliced in half on the grass.

"Hey! Karkitty! I brought some food!" Nepeta skipped towards Karkat and Sollux with a basket filled with all types of goodies, like apples, plums, peaches, a jar of grape and strawberry jelly, sandwiches that Kanaya made.

Karkat pulled his sickled out from the tree and leaned on it. Sollux sat on the grass, leaning on the tree trunk. Nepeta handed Karkat the basket, trying to hide her flushed face.

"Oh. Thanks, Nep." Karkat said as he took the basket of food.

Nepeta giggled, touching her warm face.

Karkat sat down next to Sollux and looked through the basket of goodies. He came across the jar of jelly. He took the grape and strawberry jelly out. He held two jars side by side. For a split second he remembered seeing a man with purple eyes and his toothy smile. Karkat gritted his teeth and threw the jar of grape jelly at the tree next to Nepeta.

"Karkat! What the hell is wrong with you?" Sollux turned to Nepeta. "Nepeta, are you okay?" Sollux got up and went to Nepeta rubbing her back, walking away from Karkat.

Karkat hugged his legs to his chest and buried his face in his knees.

"And just what are you doing?" A female voice asked.

Karkat's head shot up, looking at the person who spoke but no one was there. He got up, eyes roaming everywhere but still no person. He just shrugged and sat down next to the tree.

"Where you just crying? Your face was all red and teary." The voice said again.

Karkat looked up and saw a girl with long, messy black hair. She wore a cerulean jacket and a black shirt with jean shorts. She sat on the tree branch and a black with cerulean trimming on the edge of the pirate hat. Her sword hung from her belt as she crossed her legs.

"I wasn't crying," Karkat announced. "And shouldn't you be bothering Tavros?"

"I don't bother him… much." Vriska says as she jumps off from the tree.

"What's got you so upset?" Vriska asked.

"Even if I tell you, you wouldn't care." Karkat bit the apple he took out from the basket.

"True. I just wanted to talk about something. I'm really bored." Vriska says.

"I was reminded of something." Karkat looked down.

"Does it have something to do with a guy named Gamzee?" Vriska asks, a smile plastered on her face.

Karkat's eyes widen. "How did you know?"

"I have a debt to pay."
