I'll Dance On Your Grave

Chapter 7:

Toko's P.O.V

"I-I'm dead.. I'm so dead..."

I quietly whimpered as I shivered In place. The sun was beginning to set into evening, and this slightly cool air wasn't calming my nerves down at all. What in the hell did we do?! Did they really think that attempting to murder that boy wouldn't have any repercussions at all?

"They're gonna find me... I know they are. They gonna find me.. and then murder me next!" I whimpered to myself. I hadn't been home in a while. Hell, I haven't been home in the past day! I bet they think I'd return there, unaware of what they're doing. But I'm smarter than. I'm smarter than them! That's why I decided to stay here at that boy's pier. Yea, they wouldn't dare come here for fear of his parents or whoever checking up on him.

I did eavesdrop on them earlier though. According to the police department, Naegi's parents are supposed to be coming down tomorrow and see whats up. And it serves her right. What in the hell was Kyoko thinking that she would get away with something like this? Well it doesnt matter. If she goes down for it, what could she possibly say about me? That I helped her? Bullshit. That was an outright lie. I didn't wanna do it. They forced me to rape him. In no way did I wanna help them...

"Toko stop.. you're gonna end up crying.." I mentally reminded myself as I shielded my face with my hands. I want this to be over. I desperately wanted this to just end, have the others get the death penalty or something, and let me go back to my ordinary life of fixing electrical boxes. Was this really so much to ask for?

"...Toko..!"

"Ahh!" I immediately covered up my mouth as a loud gasped began to escape my mouth. I had nearly jumped out of my skin! Someone just called my name! And it wasn't one of the girls' voice either.

"I'm over here... inside!"

That faint voice called out to me. No way... No way on this god loving Earth! That sounded like that boy's voice! And it was coming from inside the house! I knew he wasn't dead! He couldn't have been! That would've been too easy!

"Naegi?!" I quickly called out, before immediately sprinting across the wooden pier. No way. Please let this be real! I had to confirm it with my eyes! I needed to know, that Kyoko and her crew wouldn't win this. I needed to know! So without any regards to anything, I bolted up the stairs, and into the backdoor of his cabin, slamming the door shut behind me.

"H-Hello?!" I quietly called out as I began halfway up the stairs. Where was he? Where was that voice coming from? Did I imagine it? Where in the hell was he?

"..oko..."

I heard that same name faintly call out to me. No, I wasn't imagining it; he was HERE. He was here in this cabin. There was nowhere else for him to be! Where was he?!

"Down here..."

"Down where?!" I quickly called out back to him. At that moment though, I wished to the heavens I knew where my feet were, cause the moment I tried to turn on my heel and go back down, my foot managed to slip to the side. And in the next few seconds, I watched the world around me start crumbling down.

"Ahhh!" I started to scream as my body made contact with every step. I must've fell maybe, six, or seven steps, before feeling my head collide with the wooden floor.

Bang!

A loud ringing sound started to plague my head as my consciousness faded. What was happening? Those stairs... hurt a lot... "Wh...Where...?" I quietly mumbled to myself before watching the world around me go dark.

When I came back to, the first thing I immediately noticed, was that I was no longer in the cabin. My body was asleep, I was cold, and my head hurt like hell. Like an oncoming migraine kind of hurt. Where was I?

"...Urgh..." I mumbled to myself as I struggled to look around. The ground below me was littered in dirt, and leaves for the most part. And the walls around me looked old and rotting. Once I noticed the window with no glass pane in it, I immediately deduced that I was inside of an abandoned house. How in the hell did I get here? It was probably Junko and all of them. They wanted to mess with me before they killed me.

"H-Hel-."

My sentence instantly stopped dead in it's tracks. Because the moment I looked into the room adjacent to this once, I saw him. It was HIM. That boy from the other day. Naegi. It was him! He looked blurry at first, but it was definitely him. I recognized the spike at the top of his head. He had on a dirty pair of black pants, along with a white T-shirt. And he didn't seem to be doing anything. He was just... sitting there. Sitting on an old worn out couch. Not only that, but he was looking directly down at me. This... wasn't a joke! He was there! He was there watching me!

"A-Ahh... It... It's..." I slowly started to say as I looked up at him in amazement. I couldn't form words. I could only lie there in complete shock as he calmly sat there. He just sat there looking at me... I could hardly move, much less for a coherent thought at the moment. "Y-You...A-Alive..." I managed to work my nerves up and say. I knew he was alive. I knew those other assholes wouldn't get to him.

"How did you know Toko?"

I heard him say in a low voice. I could see him shaking clearly from my point of view. He was maybe two or three meters from me, but I could see. He wasn't breaking his line of sight with me; he just sat there... staring at me while I lied there.

"W-What..?" I quietly asked him. I was at a loss for words. I needed to make sure I heard him. I just needed to know!

"How... did you know that I was alive?" Naegi asked me again, his voice reeking with bitterness. "Are you sure you aren't dreaming?" He tilted his head as he asked me.

"I-I... I don't... Am I dreaming? Is this just a dream?" I responded back to him. At this point, the floor was getting uncomfortable, so I started to slowly rise up, not leaving his gaze for a minute.

"Come here." I watched him say as he pat his own legs. I didn't get it. What was going on? What was he doing here?! That wasn't important. I had to tell him the truth! I had to tell him the truth right then and there! "Come sit with me..." He repeated once again.

I wasted no time. I quickly scrambled up to my feet, and made my way over to him. I didn't deserve to sit on the same level as him. I understood if he completely hated my guts! But that didn't matter. I needed to talk to him so bad!

"I... I need to tell you..!" I started to say. I sat right beside him. Well, not exactly beside him; I was on the floor next to his legs. I was also on my knees. And yep, this floor was still hard.

"Shhhh..." He quietly whispered. I watched him close his eyes as he shushed me. "Not another sound..." He whispered as he put his finger to his lips. Did he know? Did he?! This was physically killing me so bad...

"I know Toko... I know that this wasn't your fault... you were a victim..." I heard him tell me. So.. so he did know.. I honestly was on the verge of tears at this point. I felt like crying, I wanted to apologize to him out the ass. He was right; this wasn't my fault! I swear to god it wasn't! Nonetheless, I sat there, visibly shaking as he continued his speech.

"I did... I tried so hard..." I quietly whispered back to him. "I really really did... I swear! But... but you're ok..." I started to say. I was so thankful. I honestly didn't know what to feel at this point. Overwhelming guilt was there of course, but what else?

"Yes.. Toko. I'm ok. Now come up here." Naegi said as he pat his lap again. What was he gonna do? I had a small idea what growing inside my mind, but at this point. I well deserved it. So if he was gonna do it, it was gonna be after I apologize to hell and back for what I did.

"O-Ok..." I quietly whispered as I scrambled up onto the couch beside him. Not wasting any time whatsoever, I threw my arms around his shoulders, and buried my face into his left one. "I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry! I'm sorry..." I repeated over and over while hugging him. I could feel the tears that were building up rapidly spill over my eyes. I honestly meant it; I didn't want any hard to come to him at all.

"Shhh.." I heard him whisper as he remained motionless. Did he forgive me!?

"I'm sorry.. I'm sooooorryyyy." I began to wail as I cried into his shoulder. That single apology filled my mind at the moment. I didn't know what else to do. What could I do? I just stayed there, crying into his shoulder hoping to god he would. "Oh goddd..." I cried and cried my heart out.

"...Toko..." I heard him quietly say to me.

"W-What..?!" I could barely hear him over my bawling. It sounded like he was beginning to move to be honest.

"Turn... around." I heard him quietly whisper.

"Y-Y-Yes..." I could barely say. I did what he told me however, and quickly let go of his body. Like that, I turned around to where my back was facing him. I was in no position to go against him, whatever he was gonna do next, I roughly deserved it.

"..Tell me again how sorry you are!" I heard him shout. The next thing he did, I honestly didn't expect, because as soon as he finished those words, I felt a large arm quickly surround my neck. W-What?!

"Ackk! Aghh!" I quickly choked out sounds of nonsense as I felt both of his arms now beginning to crush my neck. I felt my head quickly collide with his chest. With how much I was crying earlier, and after being knocked out, I couldn't do anything but flail my arms up and about. Was he gonna kill me?!

What felt like minutes pass, were merely a couple of seconds as I frantically tried to escape him. Everything around me was beginning to turn red as I felt my strength leaving me ever so fast. This was it?

"I-I'm.. S-Sorr..." I managed to cry out again as I looked up at him dead in the eyes. What greeted me however, were cold, almost frozen eyes. As if he didn't care what he was doing to me. And I didn't blame him one bit.

"I know... It's just not good enough! Grrr!" He retorted back to me. I could feel him stand up, me being in tow, as he began to drag me away from the couch, and into a darker back room. I didn't know where we were going, but I didn't have time to think about it. The moment we left the couch, practically everything around me started to go black.

Sayaka's P.O.V

"Toko! Toko get over here!"

I shouted as the afternoon sun shined down on us. Celeste and I were both worried. This was our final day to catch her. We absolutely had too. No way in hell did I wanna go through another tape swallowing, that's for damn sure.

"Tokoooooo! I'm gonna find your ass!" I called out to her as I walked through these woods. Where else could we look anyways? Her house? Work? Nope, those were empty. We hadn't talked to her in days. So where in the hell should we looked? Well wandering through the woods wasn't my idea, but Celeste told me they had looked everywhere else. We didn't consider the possibility of her leaving town. But she wasn't so bright, and wouldn't think to do that. So we ruled out that idea.

"..Tokoo!"

I heard Celeste's voice cry out faintly. We were sorta wandering together in this, but we figured we'd cover more ground by splitting up a bit. Not so much as to get lost, but to cover more area in faster time. It was a good idea of course. Except for one problem; We had been looking all day, and we still haven't found anything! I was getting so tired.

"Toko!" I called out again as the sight of a pond started to come into view. Of course, I couldn't find her. I prayed like hell that we would so Kyoko would leave us alone already.

"Goddamnit.. I hoped to god Celeste found something..." I sighed as I finally decided to let my exhaustion take over, and sat down next to the tree. I wanted to say that this was hopeless, but my fear wouldn't let me. So all I could do was lean against this tree, and gaze out to the small pond. We've spent hours looking. So a small five minute break wouldn't hurt right? Nah. So with that, I slowly started to close my eyes.

Splash!

The sound of something landing in water quickly awakened me. I looked up and noticed what looked like a small rock separating the water. Someone just threw something in there! Reacting as quick as I could, I turned my head around.

"Toko?"

I called out again. This time, I watched a pair of black legs quickly shuffle away from some bushes. Goddamnit, I would've been able to see who it was if it weren't for the shrubbery. Either way, I quickly stood up, and began moving towards the shuffling sound I heard earlier. Celeste certainly wasn't wearing black pants, so it must've been Toko!

"I saw you Toko! You're only making this harder on yourself ya know?" I called out as I began my quick pace. I didn't have a destination in mind, just a goal; catching this son of a bitch!

I came to a small clearing soon enough. Realizing that I'd be able to hear footsteps easier, I lowered my head down a bit and started walking slowly. I just needed a clue... a clue to her direction!

"BOO!"

"Wahhhh!" I screamed aloud and instantly jumped backwards as Celeste's loud voice penetrated the slight silence that was hanging over the forest air. What the fuck?! Where did she come from?

"Hahah!" Celeste started to laugh hysterically. Goddamnit! This asshole was joking around at a time like this?!

"You bitch! What in the hell is wrong with you?!" I narrowed my eyes and scowled at her as she continued her laugh. She damn well gave me a heart attack!

"Whew! You shoulda seen your face!" Celeste told me, finally calming down after a few seconds of laughing. I'd kill her if we weren't about to die later!

"Hardy har. You got me. Now shut the hell up and hurry up-." I stopped my sentence short. Because not too long after I started to talk, a soft sound began to echo throughout the forest. And it wasn't just an ordinary sound. No... this sounded like someone was strumming along a guitar. In fact. It sounded like someone was playing MY guitar to be specific!

"W-What...?" Celeste asked me as we quickly darted our heads in every direction. Where in the hell was that coming from?

"That bitch is playing your song.." I quietly said, finally realizing that it was coming from somewhere north. In fact, we could reach there in a couple of minutes if we ran straight ahead.

"Why're we just standing here?! C'mon!" Celeste shouted. In the next instant, I watched her quickly sprint forward in the direction of that song. Finally. We had FINALLY found her! Thank the everloving Christ this would be over soon. So I quickly darted right behind her, and kept after her quick sprint.

"Your ass is grass Toko!" I cried out as we began dodging branches, logs, and random thorns.

"Toko you're a dead woman now! Woo hoo!" Celeste cried out. We were running as fast as our legs would carry us. I didn't care that my heart was pounding a mile a minute, I didn't care that my breaths were coming out short and ragged. This would all be over soon! And once this was over with, I could go back to being my lazy self!

"Come on girl, keep up!" Celeste looked back at me and shouted. I couldn't help it. I wasn't the most athletic, and I certainly wouldn't be able to run like her after an hour of constant walking. So I ignored her, while also keeping her in my site.

"I am! I am! I'm gonna kill her. I swear to god I'm gonna kill her!" I answered back in short breaths. Goddamnit I needed more air! Oh how I wish I worked out a bit more!

"Don't you pass out on me!" Celeste said, mocking me once more. Goddamnit I'd shove her down if I could. "I'm too tired to drag your skinny ass back."

After about a minute of running, I watched as Celeste finally stopped running, and began to bend over. Huh, looked like she needed air. She wasn't the only one though clearly. I caught up to her, before leaned right next to a tree. Thank god I was able to get some air! "Why..Why did we stop..?" I asked her. There wasn't a point to asking that however, because I looked up, and noticed the side of an abandoned house. What?

"Ha...Ha... that... that house..." Celeste started to say in between gasps. I wanted to tell her to calm down first. But I was simply too tired to form the words.

"I... I'll go in first... wait...wait here.." I said. Unlike her, I could feel the energy returning to me bit by bit, so motioning for her to wait here, I slowly walked forward, and rounded the wall of the house. Toko must be here. She just had to be!

"Toko!" I called out as I stepped through the rotting door frame. I've been here before; a year or so back when I was actually in shape! Well, better shape than I'm in now. What greeted me when I stepped inside, was a weird square table. Just a normal rotting table. Above that, I noticed a weird pulley like.. system? Well, a couple of ropes were hanging from the ceiling. What in the hell for? What was this?

"Toko what is this?!" I asked out loud. I was kind of curious, but then I realized; this was Toko! Her weird ass was always coming up with random stuff. So I quickly disregarded this weird setup as I stepped past it. I wasn't worried about anything but her damnit!

"Toko!" I heard Celeste shout from outside. I was tired of all this. I wanted to go home, not spend my life searching this abandoned house! But ,we had a job to do. I could complain, just as long as I continued to look.

"Huh... This is weird.." I tilted my head as I walked into the next room. Here, right smack dab on the floor, I noticed a dirty mattress just sitting there. And next to that, I noticed a small can of what looked like beans sitting right beside it. Huh. Was this were Toko was sleeping? No way, we really must've caught her!

"Sayaka! He isn't out here." I heard Celeste cry out from outside. Goddamnit. We were close! At least we know where she was staying at for the time being.

Celeste's P.O.V

"Alright this has gone on long enough." I told myself as I proceeded to walk around the house. Damnit, She wasn't here after all. Great, this means I have to keep searching. I quickly resumed my quick pace, but instantly stopped as soon as I looked up forwards.

"You motherfucker." I called out as the sight of Naegi filled my eyes. No way. No freaking way was this guy just standing there with a smirk on his face. Hell, This was big. Bigger than finding Toko! I have the source of my problems, right here in front of me. I swear to god, I could easily call Sayaka out here, and we could corner this ass right now.

"Get over here.." I muttered underneath my breath. The moment I took a step forward however, a blast of sharp pain shot through my right leg. Causing me to scream out in unbelievable pain.

"Gahaaaaa!" I screamed out loud as a pair of sharp metal teeth dug into my leg. I looked down, and realized that I instantly became the prey to a bear trap. Oh fuck. Oh fuck this hurt so bad! Clutching my leg in pain, I instantly bent down, and immediately began trying to remove this thing. Every second felt like a sharp knife digging into my ankles, in which, blood was just pouring down them like a river.

"Sayaka! Sayakaaaa!" I bloodcurdlingly screamed her name. I needed help! Our goal was right here and he managed to catch me in such a simple trap!

Sayaka's P.O.V.

"Sayakaaaa!"

I heard Celeste call out my name. What in the hell happened? She sounded like she was in horrible pain! Did she fall or something?! Not even taking the time to think, I immediately spun on my heel, and sprinted outside. "I'm coming! I'm coming!"

"Sayaka help me!" I heard Celeste cry out again in torment. She sounded so hurt, it caused my heart to skip a beat or two. What in the hell was happening?!

"Wait! I'm coming!" I screamed again as I began running towards the source of her crying. I'm coming to help! Just hang in there for the love of god!

It took a couple of seconds to rush down towards Celeste. The moment I got there, I looked down, and noticed something horrid going on with her leg. From my point of view, I could clearly see a part of her leg bone sticking out, as well as a torrent of blood pouring down her leg. Holy fuck, she got caught in a bear trap! How in the hell did that happen?!

"Sayakaaaa! Get it off! Please get it off! My leg!" She continued to scream as I slowly made my way over to her. What in the hell?! I was starting to feel queasy, who put this trap here? Was this a prank? No fucking bears populate these woods at all! Was this Toko's plan?! Nonetheless, I swallowed my fear and made my way over to my injured friend.

"Ahem."

Before I could get close, I could hear a masculine voice clear their throat behind me. Still in complete shock and confused, I turned around, and watched as the sight of a man approached me with a large 2x4. I didn't have time to think, because not long after I discovered his presence, I quickly saw that same board fly towards me, immediately sending me sprawling towards the ground.

"Sayakaaa!"

I could barely make out the sound of Celeste screaming. In that slight moment, I immediately recognized this man. But I didn't have time to think about it any longer. Because as soon as I watched him smack the hell out of Celeste with that board, my world quickly sank into the dark.
