Kyo's eyes widened and he stayed perfectly still as Yuki lowered his head so that their noses were touching, every other part of them staying completely still. Kyo held his breath, waiting to see what Yuki would do next.

"Hey Prince! What're you doing over there? Come over here a sec!" Kyo both heard and felt the breath of air Yuki let out through his nose as he stayed exactly where he was for a moment before bending over to place a light kiss on Kyo's cheek. Kyo stood there in complete shock as Yuki walked over to where someone had called him. What…the…

"Chiyo-chan, can you come here please?" Kyo's gaze focused in front of him to see Yuki turned toward him with a hand held out for him. Kyo lowered his arm and slowly walked forward. Yuki could tell that Kyo considered not taking his hand as he walked over but was relieved when he decided against it. Kyo let Yuki pull him close, only marginally stiffening up when Yuki slid his arm behind him, settling his hand just under Kyo's ribs.

"This is the main photographer for our school news paper. This is Takeda Chiyo. Would it be alright for him to take a few pictures?" Everything about Yuki was screaming at him to just say yes and just get it over with. Kyo could hear the sigh and muttered curses in his mind as he opened his mouth to answer Yuki. The fire alarm suddenly cut off whatever he was about to say. Everyone automatically started panicking and running for the main door. Kyo moved to follow them when a tug on his arm made him look back at Yuki like he was crazy. He simply pointed to one of the back doors that wasn't being used and watched as Kyo quickly understood what he was trying to do. They quickly made their way back and out the door. Once they were outside and far enough away from the building they looked up, confused, at the clear sky. Kyo looked over when he heard Yuki sigh and found him rubbing his forehead.

"Somebody probably pulled the alarm."

Kyo sighed as he leaned on the front porch railing. He had gotten changed and taken out the extensions, only leaving his room when he was positive he looked like his old self. He could barely believe someone had been stupid enough to pull the fire alarm. Idiot. Kyo let his mind wander, not really paying any attention to where it was headed until he started remembering his and Yuki's argument. His entire face flushed. Was he really going to-? What the hell am I thinking? He was probably only doing it because of-

"What are you doing out so late neko?" Kyo turned around and snapped at him, taking out all of his confused emotions on him.

"Get lost damn it! Why the fuck do you care?" Yuki sighed and finished stepping out, shutting the door softly behind him.

"We've been over this neko, now what's wrong?" Kyo growled softly and bared his teeth, no less frustrated than before.

"What the hell's with you calling me that? And nothing's wrong damn it!" Yuki sighed again and took a step forward, Kyo going to back up only to realize he had no where to go.

"You are a neko, why shouldn't I call you that?" Kyo glowered at Yuki as he took another step forward, not bothering to say a word. "Something is obviously wrong so just tell me."

"It's nothing ya damn rat, now go away!" Kyo went to go around Yuki but stopped when Yuki followed his movements and took yet another step forward, their bodies almost touching at this point.

"Kyo." The cat continued to glare at Yuki, putting his hands going on the railing bar in case he needed to jump over it.

"Back off! What the hell are you doing?"

"Or what?" Yuki took another step forward and Kyo leaned back to keep them from touching.

"I said back off damn it! I'm not fucking Chiyo!" Yuki seemed to freeze at that, staring at Kyo trying to figure out what he was talking about.

"What's that supposed to mean neko? What are you talking about?" Kyo looked away, a small flush creeping up his face.

"Never mind, it's not important." Yuki frowned at Kyo's mumbled answer. Then suddenly his eyes widened when it all clicked.

"Kyo." His gaze snapped up to Yuki's and froze there, not even flinching when Yuki brought a hand up to the side of Kyo's face for the second time that night. "You are just you Kyo. Just because you're dressed differently doesn't mean anything really changes." Kyo held his breath and let Yuki use his hold on his head to pull him upright. Yuki gave a small smile. "Breathe." Kyo let out the breath he'd been holding and flushed when their bodies finally met.

"W-what…" Yuki brought his head close to Kyo's again, the sides of their noses touching.

"You can stay stop." Kyo just shivered when he felt Yuki bring his hand to the back of his head. Kyo brought his hands up to grip Yuki's arms as he lightly brushed their lips together. Yuki waited a few seconds before tilting his head and adding pressure, being sure to go slow so as not to scare Kyo. He kept going when he felt Kyo slip his arms up and around his neck slowly, leaning into Yuki slightly. They broke apart when the need for air arose, both of them panting slightly. Yuki gave him one last peck before resting their foreheads together. "We should probably go inside." Kyo didn't respond or even open his eyes as he worked on regulating his breathing. "Or did you want to stay out here…?" Yuki waited for a moment and smiled when Kyo slowly nodded his head. He kissed his forehead and stepped back, taking Kyo's hand. "Come sit with me then." Kyo nodded at him again but started to look confused when Yuki pulled him over to one of the single chairs.

"What-" He was cut off when Yuki sat down and pulled Kyo onto his lap, turning him in the process so his legs went over the side. Kyo's entire face went red as he tried to push himself off of Yuki. "What the- Why the hell did you do that?" Yuki simply grabbed Kyo's wrists and pulled them away, leaning in to give Kyo a small kiss that left the cat's face in flames.

"Because I want you here." Kyo stated silent at that, not looking up as his cheeks stayed red. He eventually relaxed against Yuki and rested his head against his shoulder, comfortable in the protective arms around him.

Yuki looked down after a while to see Kyo fast asleep in his arms. He's looks so cute like this. He smiled and brought a hand under Kyo's knees, putting his other hand behind him to pick him up. He continued to smile when he noticed Kyo lean into him slightly. Yuki carefully bent down and opened the door, closing it quietly behind him. The rat let out a quiet sigh of relief when he saw all the lights out. Everyone must be asleep. He cautiously tiptoed up the stairs and headed for my room. There was no way he was risking waking Shigure up with too much walking around. Yuki gently laid Kyo down on the bed, trying as hard as he could not to wake him. Once that was done, Yuki silently got changed and pulled the blankets out from under Kyo. Yuki froze when he saw Kyo stir while he did this but let out a relieved sigh when he didn't wake. The rat got in next to Kyo and gave a soft smile when Kyo turned to face him in his sleep. He wrapped his arms around Kyo, happy to have him sleeping in his arms.
