"Hm….w-what time is it?" asked Zim slowly as he rubbed his violet eyes, trying to become more alert.
"It's 2:00 am, Zim." Dib answered as he put on his glasses.
"Oh…wait…where the hell's Gir?" Zim looked around for his tiny android servant.
"Oh yeah…didn't he say he was going to get some taco's or something before we fell asleep.
Zim looked outside. It was still pouring rain. Lots of rain. Gir could easily rust or malfunction out there!
Zim was about to get up and look for Gir outside, but Dib stopped him.
"Zim, you know water hurts you…let me go." Dib smiled.
Zim frowned as he sat back down.
His eyes widened as he began coughing, hacking up blood and even more liquids as he fell onto the floor, mouth foaming and clutching his stomach in a strong hold.
Everything turned into pitch black, and everything around him faded into pure nothingness as he was enveloped by the dark.
The last muffled word he heard coming from his now mate was, "Zim!", and nothing more as he fell into complete silence.
Dib Stared down at the irken as he lifted him up and placed him the couch. He then raced to Zim's lab in a panic. As soon as he reached it, he began to rummage through the randomly scattered bottles and needles on the purple shelves. He searched and searched for something – anything, to help Zim.
He noticed a dusty book shelf by the corner of his eye. He raced towards it and began searching through the old, dusty, worn out books, trying to find some alien information – but not the kind he usually searched for, the kind that would help save Zim's life.
I huge change it was. Watching himself go from a seemingly cold-hearted paranormal investigator with a lust to destroy and harm all things strange (or for a matter of fact, paranormal), to a now gentle, and loving person, wanting to only more than ever cure his sick mate, thus probably bringing Zim one step closer to obliterating planet earth, and all life form along with it.
Such hatred they used to have towards each other…yet now they loved each other, and wished to be together for the remainder of their lives. But of course they wouldn't be able to do that if Dib couldn't find a cure fast enough.
All of the sudden, when all hope seemed lost Dib came across a large and rather filthy book. He blew the dust away from the corners and wiped some of it away with his sleeve, trying to read the title.
Even after the dirt was gone, Dib couldn't translate the irken language scrawled across it. Not a single thing made sense as he flipped the book upside down and turned it sideways, trying to find a key to reading it. But it was hopeless. He would never be able to translate such advanced alien script without some help?
Zim was on the floor and-
"I'm Baaaaaack!" a cheerful voice echoed from upstairs.
"Gir!" Dib gasped as he ran, with the book clutched in his fists. He just hoped that nothing had happened to Zim with his presence gone…
Well, sorry it took so long, but I hope you enjoyed it, oh, and Gir didn't break his promise on the picture either! #/d59jfug (this is my deviant art account just so you know) Enjoy! :)
