(AN) NO REVIEWS?! You people make me sad...*sigh* I shall update anyway...but you're mean...*pouts*

Nico POV
I smirk a little as we get to the Big House and Jessica's Amethyst eyes widen and she cracks a smile that's larger than one I've seen on her face since we met. Well...then again she hasn't smiled much since then anyway but...

Her freckled cheeks are upturned a but so her eyes are smaller slits. But the beautiful smile slowly dissipates and she goes back to her blank expression.

Wait...did I just...I didn't say that...if you say I did I swear on Thanatos' freaking underwear you will wake up one day buried alive.

Her eyes sparkle with curiosity as she looks up at the large, blue structure in front of us and I crack a tiny smile at her lame attempt to hide it.

"Come on..." I say softly , leading her up the steps, she follows me slowly and leans on a pillar.

Jessica POV
I follow Nico toward a large, blue house and do my best to hide my curiosity as I stare up at the intricate structure in front of Nico and I. Its large, white pillars and blue siding are kind of an odd combination, but oddly it's more beautiful that way. I smile a little, my teeth showing even, as I realize that I may be living near this impressive building then quickly force the corners of my mouth down and purse my lips then look at Nico, who's smiling despite himself.

"Come on..." He says in a passive tone, shifting his dark eyes toward me and climbing up the stairs, I follow him slowly and lean on a marble pillar.

"So...what are we doing here?" I ask, looking at the back of the pale boy in front of me.

Nico turns around to look at me, "You've gotta meet Chiron..." He says, and I try not to look confused, the "I'm-better-than-you" look on his face tells me that I've failed and I sigh.

"Who is Chiron?" I ask, a snark in my voice that I've missed oh so much. (No sarcasm...she really does love being snarky and rude...)

He rolls his eyes, seemingly noting the rudeness that tinges my speech once again. "Chiron is the camp activities director...come on...I'll show you..." He reaches out his hand to me and I hesitantly take it.

He smirks, "I won't bite..." Before I can answer he pulls me forward and leads me through the halls of the huge house. We reach a door which he knocks on and we wait in silence. I look down at his hand clutching mine and quickly pull it away then look back up at the door which now is opening, and see a man in a wheelchair rolling out to meet it. He has kind eyes and a warm smile on his face that makes me want to smile back.

I don't. "Are you Chiron?" I ask curiously, looking at the strange man.

He nods, "indeed I am, child. What do you need? I have yet to see you here at camp..." He looks at Nico, "A new camper?"

Nico nods, his dark hair falling over his obsidian eyes and he blows it away a little annoyedly. (This is a word in my mind...leave me alone...) "Found her yesterday and got her to camp. She needs a...proper welcome..." The mischievous glint in his eye worries me and the smirk on his face scares me even more.

Chiron smiles, "Ah...I will gather the others..."

I stare at him, "O-others?"

Nico POV
I lead Jessica through the halls toward Chirons office and stop at the door, knocking slowly. I feel Jessica snatch her hand away and realize I had still been holding it, I smirk a little at her slightly pink looking face. Chiron opens the door and I'm a little disappointed he isn't in horse form. He asks me about her and I smirk, the realization of how easily I can mess with the rude, short, girl that I've been dragging around today almost makes me smile...

I explain a bit to Chiron about how I found her, then continue, "She needs a...proper...welcome..." I say nonchalantly and Jessica stares at me, then looks at Chiron, who smiles.

"I'll gather the others" he says in a soft tone, Jessica's eyes widen.

"O-others...?" She says, an tinge of, almost fear, in her voice.

"Yes...you'll have to meet some other people here...being alone is...not so fun..." I speak from personal experience sadly...I was alone here for almost the whole time, I've built up a reputation...everyone is almost afraid of me. Which never used to bother me but...

I shake my head around and look at Jessica, "Don't worry...no one will bother you much unless you try..."

"Try what?" She asks, standing straighter.

"Try and talk to them...they aren't all very open to newcomers...unless you try to talk to them...so if you don't it'll be fine..."

She stares at me, "You did the same thing didn't you..." She says, her voice gentler than before.

I nod, "Yes...and it worked just fine for me..."

She looks up at me, "You seem too lonely..." Her voice is soft.

I stare at her, keeping all emotion off my face, "I'm not lonely...just alone...there's a difference..."

She gives me a look, "Whatever you say..." She looks at Chiron, "What is this place?"

"This, my dear, is Camp Half Blood," Chiron explains, "A safe haven for the children of the Greek gods."

"Gods...? Is...is Isis part of that group?" She asks curiously, the old Centaurs eyes widen only a bit and he shakes his head.

"No...Isis is an Egyptian goddess, from the myths..." He says, looking her over closely.

Jessica looks confused by only for a moment as she nods, "Okay..." She says slowly, seemingly thinking about what to say next, she then asks, "So...if the Greek gods are real...what about the Egyptians? Or-"

Chiron cuts her off, "They do not exist to my knowledge..." He says, a little too fast. I look at him and narrow my eyes, something's up...

Jessica seems to notice it too because she looks him in the eyes, "Are you sure?" She asks, and the camp director nods.

"Yes, very sure." He says certainly and the small girl sighs

"Fine then..." Jessica mumbles, turning to me, "Where to next?"

"Well, are you hungry?"

She nods vigorously "Yes! Er...yeah...I am a little hungry..."

I roll my eyes and nod, "Then we'll go to the dining pavilion...you can eat breakfast there and I'll show you the rest of camp..."

She nods and follows me to the Dining Pavilion, closely sticking by me. I pick up a plate and so does she, then she looks around everywhere, her eyes scanning the many, full tables.

She suddenly seems confused, "Uh...where is th-"

"The food?" I cut her off before She can finish.

She nods and I hold up the plate, "Just ask it for something an it'll give it to you..."

She nods, "And the-"

"Drinks are the same way," I cut her off again and pick up a glass. She does the same and follows me to the Hades table.

"You're supposed to sit at the Hermes table..." I say to her, but she ignores me.

"I said, 'you have to go to he Hermes table...'" I say again and she shifts her sharp, piercing gaze to me.

"Why?" She asks and I shrug.

"Something about him having the most kids...since you have yet I be claimed, you go there..."

She gives me a look and I wave her off, but she still doesn't get up.

"If you get I trouble don't blame me..." I say, finishing the donut on my plate and askin for another.

Jessica rolls her eyes, "I'm not going to blame you...and besides...I won't get in trouble...I look enough like a Hades kid no one will probably even notice.

She was more wrong than my dad singing Justin Bieber songs in the shower...

A blonde Aphrodite girl named Ashley walks over to us and bats her blue eyes at me.

"Who's your girlfriend?" I roll my eyes.

"Hello Ashley...and she's not my girlfriend..." I practically groan.

She grins at me and purrs, "Hello, Nico...if not then who is this young...demigod..." She says in disgust, looking at Jessica.

"This is Jessica, she needed me to give her some instructions on what table to sit in. Would you like to hear them?"

She smiles at me, trying to look pretty, but the makeup ruins it, "Yes I would..." She says flirtatiously, batting her eyes again.

"Aphrodite girls, sit at the Aphrodite cabin and don't get up to talk to Hades kids..." I say a little rudely, looking at Jessica who's holding back a chuckle.

Ashley huffs, "Fine!" She squeaks, as if rejection isn't something she's used to. Which us probably true...most guys fall all over her...but in not most guys...Ashley stands up and walks away briskly.

Jessica finally lets out the quiet laugh that she had been holding in then she looks at me, "What was thy about?"

"Ashley will flirt with anyone she deems worthy to look upon her 'beauty'...apparently I'm part of that group somehow..." I reply, making air quotes when I say beauty, because Ashley is gorgeous in all the wrong ways.

Jessica watches after the way-too-skinny, inappropriately dressed, fake looking Aphrodite girl with a sigh, "I see..." She murmurs in reply to my comment. But her dark lavender eyes clear and she looks at me.

"I've met a lot of people like her...stay away from them..." Her voice has a warning tone in it an I nod.

"Not my type..." I say with a smirk. She rolls her eyes.

"No one is your type, Nico..." she says, a joking tone in her smooth voice.

I roll my eyes, "Good to know..." But honestly, she's right...no girl has talked to me really since...well...before Bianca died...besides Annabeth, Piper, and of course Hazel...an then Jessica and Ashley today...it's almost overwhelming all the social contact I've had...

Jessica looks like she's about to say more but she stops herself.

"So...where's my cabin?" She asks me, and I sigh.

"Hermes cabin...until you're claimed anyway...so that loud, obnoxious, table over there..." I point to the overcrowded Hermes table and Jessica makes a face.

"I have to stay with those people...?" She asks me, seeming a little aggravated.

"Yes...can't stay anywhere else really..."

She sighs, "Can I just eat with you today though?" She murmurs. I stare at her for a moment.

"I don't really mind...but if Chiron asks I know nothing..."

She cracks a tiny smile and whispers her thanks. I nod and stand to offer my sacrifice to the gods. Though my dad doesn't deserve it...or most I he gods...I tend to offer to the forgotten ones...or the ones no one offers to...

"Oh great goddesses of the moon, accept my offering" I mutter my prayer to Selene and Artemis quietly, remembering about what happened to the moon last night. The fire glows silver and something is thrown out of the flame. I catch it in my hand then yelp and drop it to the ground, wriggling my hand through the air with a painful hiss. I then take a look at it. It's a silver necklace with two strings, I lift it up, the metal is finally cooled. I take a close look at it. Two silver moons. A crescent moon is wrapped around a full moon. I quickly by gently place it in the pocket of my dark hoodie.

Jessica comes up behind me, "You seemed busy so I waited...what happen here?" She asks in her sharp voice, turning her feline eyes to look at my face.

"Offering a sacrifice..." I reply smoothly and she looks at me.

"Who's your godly parent...?" She asks suddenly.

"Hades," I reply, my voice quipped, "God of the underworld and of ghosts and funerals and such..."

She nods, "Okay...cool...thank you for that..."

"Welcome..." I nod to her and stalk back to the Hades table, the necklaces in my pocket jangling quietly.

Jessica POV
Nico seemed uneasy suddenly. When he want to the fire I decided to wait for him, but he bent over while he was there for some reason and I heard him mutter a curse. After he stood up again I walks over but he didn't seem right. I shrug it off and stare to the flames, should I sacrifice to someone...? I don't know my parent so I look at Nico,

"Who's your parent?" I ask.

His eyes harden, "Hades," he replies coldly, "God of the underworld, ghosts, all that stuff..." I look closely into his cold eyes and see a tiny flicker of sadness, which disappears before I can even ask.

"Thanks," I reply, "That helps a lot..."

He nods, "Welcome," and then stalks back to the table.

"Uh...yo Hades..." I say, not entirely sure how to really pray to the god of the dead. "Uh...Hope you like this...and thanks...for sending Nico to find me...if that was your doing..."

I dump the contents of my plate into the flame and it roars higher, the smoke turning pitch black as it rises. I stare up at it and someone pushes me to the side and I fall over, hitting the ground hard with my shoulder, my tray and plate falling on top of me. I stare up at the person who pushed me.

It's the girl from last night...the one who pushed me up the ladder an over the diving board. I stand up quickly and his at her, glad that my hat didn't fall off. She glares at me and I stand straighter, still not as tall as her.

"Out of the way, pipsqueak..." She growls at me and I glare even harder.

"And if I don't want to?"

In answer she punches me in the face, hard, and I fall back, onto the Hermes table, on my back.

I put my hand to my cheek, where she hit, and see that it's bleeding slightly, a few warm drops of blood dribble down my cheek and into my hand.
A furious, boiling rage burns in the pit of my stomach and I leap up, ready to strike back. But two Hermes kids grab my arms and pull me back down. I hiss ad squirm and one of them slides me off the table an grabs my arms, not letting me move.

"GET OFF O ME!" I screech, but the boy ignores me, wrapping his arms around me and locking my wrists in place.

Nico walks over slowly, "Connor, you can get off of her..."

"But she's pretty!" The boy whines, and I growl angrily. Pretty?!

"DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE ANY DECENCY?!" I squeal, and Nico smirks.

"You're one to talk..." He says, a bit of mirth in his gaze. He then looks up at the boy behind me, "Connor...Now..." He growls, shooting an efficient death glare to Connor. I feel his grip loosen and run forward, pushing away from him and kicking him in the crotch. The boy squeaks and falls down behind me and I turn to look atvhim.

He has shaggy, light brown hair, and warm brown eyes, his face is contorted in pain.

I smirk, "Pretty huh? Thank you...but I'm sorry, I don't date people who...well I don't date at all...so boohoo..."

Connor stares at me and finally stands fully, "Such a shame..." He smiles, but still seems a bit pained, and walks off. Another, taller boy, who looks exactly like Connor, comes up.

"I'm sorry about my brother..." He says, "Connor can be a little...too forward..." He shakes his head, "So I apologize...and I'm Travis..."

Travis stretches out a hand to me and I shake it, "Jessica..." I reply, my tone blank and void of emotion.

Travis looks at me closely then shakes his heads, "Cool..." He slowly walks away and I turn to Nico.

"Why'd they stop me? She deserved what she had coming..." I snarl, but Nico shakes his head.

"She'd kick your tiny, pale butt in 30 seconds flat..." He replies, "That's Clarisse...favorite daughter of Ares, god of war...if she doesn't scare you, she will soon..."

I roll my eyes, "Yeah right...if I did it right, a swift kick to her legs, get her of balance, knock her of mover with a kick in the stomach and a sharp elbow to the neck and she'd be knocked out cold..."

Nico stares at me for a second, "I would seriously like t-" he shakes his head around, "No...just don't, okay?"

"I'll do what I want to, death boy..." I mumble, "You can't tell me not to..."

Nico looks miffed but sighs, "I guess you're right..." He murmurs, "But I'm serious...don't do it...she'll hurt you without a second thought..."

I glare at him, "Whatever...maybe if you would shut up and let me figure it out for myself i wouldn't bother you do much..."

Nico glares right back at me, "And how would that work for you, Jess...? Without me here in the first place you'd still be crying in that alley."

"I was not crying!" I squeak, and Nico smirks, "I was just sitting there and waiting for morning to go anywhere..."

Nico shakes his head, "No I heard you, Jessica...you were whimpering...that's why I heard when I found you...I heard crying..."

I wasn't crying...okay maybe I was...hut that is none of his business! Why can't he just leave me alone about it? Am I not allowed to cry?! What the heck is wrong with him?!

'Nothing...' I hear, and I look at Nico to see if he noticed anything, but he was still watching me, his head tilted slightly to the side. So I figure not...

'What nothing? Who is this?!' I think, an again I get an answer.

'Its Isis, dear...and Nothing is wrong with him that isn't wrong with you, Jessica...'

Isis...oh crud..."I thought you left!" I think back, and Nico stares at me...

I said that out loud didn't I...oops...?

"Why would I leave?" Nico asks me, clearly curious.

"No...I mean...I...ugh..." Nico stares at me.

"You okay...?" He asks cautiously.

"Yes I'm fine! Just...stop talking for a second...pleeeease..."

He hesitates but slowly agrees.

'Where'd you go for all this time?!' I think to Isis, and she doesn't answer for a moment.

'WHERE?!' I think harder and I wait again.

'I had to...er...take care of something...someone was needing my help..'

I mentally groaned, 'Well a warning woulda been nice! I had you telling me what everything was and how to help me beat it an then suddenly you were gone! I fought a freaking Hydra!'

'Jessica...I had to alright? After the Kanes...' She stops.

'Who are the Kanes...?' I ask her, and she doesn't answer.

'Who?!' I insist, but I still get no answer.

'Fine then!' I sigh and grumble a few cusses against the goddess under my breath and then suddenly gasp. 'Are the Egyptian gods real?' I ask her, remembering what Chiron had said about Isis being Egyptian, but I still get no answer.

'Hello?!' But she doesn't reply.

I sigh, "Okay...I'm sorry...I had to think for a moment..." I say, looking back up at Nico.

"Think? That looked like you were having a full out war with yourself!" He replies blankly, raising a dark eyebrow.

I glare at him, "So? I talk to myself! What's wrong with that? Huh Ghost King?!" I say defensively, hoping he doesn't note the franticness in my voice.

He doesn't, "Okay okay! Cool it Kitty!" He smirks and I snarl at him, grabbing his collar and pulling him down to my height.

"Call me that again and you'll be having an unexpected family reunion..." I growl and he pushes my back a bit.

"Whatever..." He mutters, "Come on, I'm gonna show you the training arena..."

I follow behind him slowly, and watch as the blonde girl in the room hacks at several mannequins.

"I think you'll finally meet someone who can kick your butt here..." Nico mutters and I glare atvhim, crossing my arms.

"How so? I whooped your sorry butt..."

Nico doesn't reply but slowly leads me into the arena and I stare at the blonde girl.

I know her...
