AN: I apologize for the lack of updates in my fanfic. I started working full time and needless to say, I lost all the time to write the ideas in my head. There's a storm in our country right now so I got a day off that's why I was able to write you this.
I'm postponing this fanfic now. Take note, postpone but not discontinue. I plan on finishing it one of these days but that would probably be in the distant future so to be fair with you, my readers, I'm going to post the plot/draft of each chapter.
This is dedicated to blondegeek1989. Without you, i wouldn't have updated this.
Chapter 6: Steel Curtain
I've written the intro for this chapter so I'll post it here, the one after this, separated by the bar is just the rough plot.
"I have successfully procured the contents and delivered the parcel you ordered to the subject."
"Great work then. I'll make sure our deal pays off nicely. Did he recruit the new hero already?"
"Affirmative, Colossus has joined their forces."
"Excellent. It's only a matter of time then before our plan comes to fruition. For the mean time, let's see what Agent Anderson plans to do with the new distraction."
After that dialogue from unknown individuals, it cut scenes into Karofsky and Blaine's interaction, where Chap 5 left off. Dave doesn't like Blaine and tells it to his face that he was a massive dbag for what he did to Kurt. Blaine asks how he knows all that happened and Dave explains that he was one of the people Kurt confided in after the break-up. He called him the night Blaine flew away from New York, back to Lima. Kurt also talked to him after the drama after the Grease show encounter. At first, Dave's plans were to use this so he and Kurt could be together but he saw that what Kurt really needed was a friend and some closure.
Blaine asked Karofsky why he changed his motives and he told him that Kurt, even though he hates him for cheating on him, still holds him preciously in his heart but his mind's too messed up to even consider that possibility. Blaine showing up in New York for Christmas and telling Kurt that he wanted to go to NYADA didn't help that at all. Blaine asks if that's the reason Kurt's been distant and avoiding him ever since and Dave answers that he has no idea but his glad with what Kurt's doing since Blaine doesn't deserve him.
Blaine attacked Karofsky but he used his ability as Colossus, Steel Curtain, to almost nullify the damage. Karofsky told Blaine that he has no choice but to join his squad but he should know that he has no plans of making it easier for him.
Blaine with the rest of his squad, Artie (Iron Man), Tina (Black Widow), Mike (Hawkeye), Jake (Iron Fist) and Dave made their way towards the first destination, Alcatraz Island, where Blob and Sabretooth await.
They fought the test subjects and did all the tasks they had to do until they came across the two Brotherhood members they had to defeat. Blaine chose Artie and Mike to help him out but Dave removed Mike out of the team and told Blaine that he's a better option than Mike for the job. Blaine didn't trust Dave after their encounter but Mike agreed to the plan since Karofsky'class and ability was much suited for the fight.
Sabretooth proved to be a very difficult adversary to deal with. Blob was taken down easily by Artie with his mixture of beams and rockets but Sabretooth's healing factor kept prevented the victory. In a frenzied attack, Blaine suffered massive damage but still remained conscious but left bleeding and ravaged. Karofsky knew what he had to do and since he saw how Blaine really wanted Kurt back in the fights they've done in the island, he knew that helping the hobbit would be beneficial. He used his Steel Curtain again to protect Blaine from the attacks of Sabretooth and with his metallic body, subdued the claws of the beastly mutant. With another attack from Artie, Sabretooth went down and they became victorious. Dave helped Blaine out and they got back to the Hellicarrier. Blaine was thankful he survived and that he apparently had a new ally.
Chapter 7: Stroke of Luck
They've been doing regular missions again after the near death experience in the spec ops. They had to farm command points anyway since they still had to recruit Scarlet Witch and Thor. They met with Coach Beiste as She-Hulk again since she was a team-up in a mission. She commented on Dave's arrival in the team and they talked about Coach being thankful David was alive and happy again, something she hasn't seen that much since after the championship in their Junior Year.
On their next mission, they had Spiderman as team-up which turned out to be Joe; with his dreadlocks poking out of his costume. Minimal interaction went on in this mission and the rewards they got were very unsatisfactory as well. Mike got an idea to end their losing streak in command point farming by suggesting they recruit Black Cat. Not only was she lucky, she also unlocks an epic boss mission to increase their chances in gaining more command points. The group agreed to this and since they had enough command points to get her, Blaine automatically recruited her the same way he did for Karofsky and Mike. When they got back from their mission with Joe, they saw Black Cat waiting for them in the Hellicarrier and by the way she was dashing at their learjet, she wasn't even a tad bit enthusiastic.
As they made it to the deck of the flight bay to talk to the new recruit, they found out that it was none other than Kitty Wilde. She just bitched on them for sucking her into the freak show though she loved the outfit she got and how it actuated her fine figure, something Artie found a bit too entertaining.
They tried for the epic boss mission which featured Puck as Daredevil and they defeated the Hand with some Puckerman brothers action and a little luck from Black Cat. They got a total haul of fifteen command points in one run and they got back to the Hellicarrier, satisfied with their new secret weapon.
Chapter 8: Weakened Resolve
They tried for the second area of their special operations, Utopia, the home camp of the X-men. When they arrived, they saw Mercedes their as the weather witch, Storm with none other than Kurt himself. They just finished fighting test subjects, demons and Avalanche who was left dumbfounded when fighting two flying heroes. Artie was confused why Kurtcedes were able to do a battle on their own without the agent in the mix, seeing as that's not possible for the game's rules but he kept his suspicions to himself.
Kurt was apprehensive in approaching Blaine and co. but with some encouragement from Mercedes, he decides to talk to them. Blaine hugged Kurt the moment he approached but it wasn't returned, much to the dismay of the agent. Kurt told Blaine that he wasn't ready yet and that they had things to still work out, both in their friendship/relationship and in their crazy modified world, so they have to prioritize those first. Kurt does not like the weirdness happening in the "game" so he warned the group to stay alert, especially since demons are apparently allying with the Brotherhood.. He told Blaine that he'll be in the Avengers Mansion, to battle the sudden weird activity going on there and he warped out.
Mercedes gave Blaine a bag containing fifteen command points which was dropped by Avalanche. She then told the group that she had other matters to attend to so they should move on and continue with finding Juggernaut, the boss for the area, and find Phoenix.
When Jake saw the free bag of command points, he knew he had to convince Blaine to go for his plan. He was sick and tired of keeping up with Kitty and wanted Marley to be with their squad. Sure, he knows how apprehensive Tina is with her but Blaine likes Marley so maybe it'll work out. Plus, he's been getting beat up a lot from all their farming against the Hand so Blaine somewhat owes this to him. He said those things to Blaine and even though Blaine wanted to argue, he was just too drained from what transpired between his short conversations with Kurt that he just gave in.
Marley joined in, causing Tina to cause a fit, which Mike handled. Jake was ecstatic and Kitty being her usual self, just bitched out. Blaine half-heartedly their battles against the test subjects as the various heroes mingled and talked amongst themselves.
Mike confronted Tina about her anger issues with Marley and she confessed that she feels threatened that in her senior year, she'll be dethroned and forgotten because of another Rachel. Mike reassured her that she's a star of her own and that she doesn't have to compete with others to prove it.
Marley and Jake were the bulk of the attack force as they battled the demons they faced. Marley kept talking about how awesome fighting demons are since it made her feel like she was a shadow hunter from her second most favorite book series (next to Hunger Games), Mortal Instruments. Jake surprised Marley by actually talking to Marley about the book, meaning he actually bothered reading about the book series for Marley's sake.
Artie was thinking about the problems this game has been experiencing and wondered what the possible cause of all the disturbances is. He discussed it with Blaine but all he got were mindless nods, ahhhs and yeahs even when he asked him silly questions like if he wanted to go to Thailand and switch genders then go lesbo for Tina. Kitty seeing their weird conversation snapped Blaine into his senses when she saw a brunette hovering in the distance.
They approached Phoenix more and recognized who their new ally heroine was. No other than the original lead of Glee club, Rachel Barbra Berry.
The scene cuts into another conversation between the two unknown characters, celebrating the delivery of the free command points again and the other person, a female voice, congratulating the other for the horde of demons he has lent for the battle.
AN: I'll post the drafts for chapter 9-11 tomorrow or Saturday (depending on the weather). My plan for this fic is 15 chapters so there'll be more to come if you still want them to come.
Give me feedback on the scenarios offered~
With that, Percival Jones, logging off.
