The Wedding Day…
Olivia paced the church room. She had her hair half down and half up., the back was curled, her makeup was light as it normally was. She walked around in the heels she didn't want to wear but Brian's mother insisted. The dress she was wearing was the only one she liked. It was a mermaid styled dress and had a tiara veil that went along. She was pacing because Elliot was still not here and she knew she couldn't do this without her best friend . The wedding was minutes away from starting and he was late of course.
Mrs. Cassidy peaked her head in and smiled.
"You look nervous, darling."
"Elliot's not here. I should've known he wouldn't be here. He never is." She sighed.
Claire-Lynn smiled and sat down watching Olivia.
"I never though Brian would be married, not this young anyways or to a good woman such as yourself. I love you like a daughter Olivia. You've settled my boy down and made him into a man, I will never be able to repay you for that. I see the way he looks at you, you are the love of his life."
"As he is mine." Olivia said softly looking at her.
"Just take care of him."
"Why are you saying this to me Mrs. Cassidy?"
"I'm sick Olivia, I just found out. I have lung cancer, never smoked in my life, funny how things like that work out. It's stage 3 and there's only a 5% chance I'll live. I don't want to tell Brian or the other boys. Just take care of him promise me that?"
Claire-Lynn stood and walked to Olivia. Olivia wiped her eyes and smiled. She had grown to love Claire over the last year. She was much like the mother she had always wanted.
"I promise Claire I will cherish him for the rest of my life." Olivia smiled.
"Call me mom. You look beautiful by the way daughter." She smiled.
"Thank you mom." Olivia smiled.
Olivia let out a loud sigh of relief when Elliot walked in. He already knew she was going to chew his ass out. She figured she'd save that for later. She grabbed him and they walked towards the door with Claire. She let out a breath before they opened it walking down the hall towards her soon to be husband. She heard the music growing louder as they rounded the corner. Alex, Casey , and Melinda stood there in their brides maid dresses.
"You ready Liv?" Alex asked as they lined up.
"Yes." Olivia said confidently.
Cragen walked up and smiled, taking Elliot's place. He locked arms with Olivia and she could see the tears shinning in his eyes. She gripped his arm hard and the doors opened and everyone stood. Alex, Casey, and Melinda walked first and then Olivia and Cragen finally walked in. Cragen was proud to walk her down the aisle. Olivia hoped to god she didn't trip on her dress. She laughed mentally at the fact that's what she was thinking.
They finally reached the alter and Cragen kissed her hand before giving her off to Brian.
"Take care of her…or I'll kick your ass Cassidy." He whispered.
"Yes sir." He smiled.
They preacher talked saying thing Olivia didn't care about she just couldn't take her eyes off the man in front of her.
"The bride and groom have wrote their own vows and would like to share." The preacher stated.
Olivia knew Brian was nervous so she started talking first. She didn't write anything she just knew what to say.
"Brian Cassidy…I am going to be honest I didn't think we'd end up here in a church."
People laughed and Brian joined them knowing what she meant.
"We were young when we first met. It's crazy how time can change people in more ways than one. I love you with all my heart and more, I always thing I can't love this man any more can I? But then we wake up and I see your smiling face and I think boy was I wrong. I fall in love with you more and more every day. Now we have this beautiful child together…You Brian Cassidy have completed my life and I can't wait to grow old and grey with you." She smiles.
"Olivia, you are the most stubborn woman I've ever met, but the greatest person I've ever met. You are gorgeous and fearless. You save people every single day sometime just by talking to them and you have no idea you are a lifesaver. You have saved me and made me into a better person I couldn't thank you enough for that. I love you more than words. I love you doesn't even do what I feel for you justice. Our son is just as amazing and stubborn as you are. I'm sure he'll be a little heartbreaker like his mother. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
"The rings please."
Zacharia stood and carried them to the preacher. Olivia smiled as Brian slide the ring onto her finger. She did the same as him.
"I know pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." He smiled.
Brian lifted Olivia's veil. He dipped kissed her and everyone started clapping.
…
Olivia was standing on the balcony looking at the ocean when Brian came up behind her wrapping his arms around her.
"Hello Mrs. Cassidy. Guest are starting to wonder where the bride ran off to."
She smiled and turned to kiss him.
"Sorry it's just loud in there, that's all and people are trashed." She laughed.
"Yes they are. You know we could get out of here. We are the bride and groom. We can leave whenever."
She laughed and kissed him again.
"Tempting, but rude. Let's go. We will have plenty of time to do what you have in mind on our honeymoon." She smiled and pulls him back to the party.
They danced and took picture the rest of the night, as Mr. and Mrs. Cassidy…
