They watched as Mr. Dubius ran around the room, searching for what he was missing. Artimese, who was sitting in a chair backwards with her arms on its back, didn't seem very surprised about this. Ace was with Mr. Boreal in one corner discussing the details. Geo and his friends stood off to one side, wanting to help but can't since they don't know what's missing.
Omega-xis wandered over to where Artimese was sitting and asked, "You don't seem surprised by this. Why not?"
Artimese, who was watching Mr. Dubius, looked up at Omega-xis and responded, "If you attacked this place, wouldn't you have a reason behind it?"
"I wouldn't have attacked this place so why ask me that?" he questioned.
"She does have a point if you think about it. Remember when Dealer attacked WAZA? He wanted to weaken them," Geo pointed out as he walked up to them.
"Yeah but he attacked them with copies of me."
Grinning, Artimese said, "Colorful copies to be exact."
Omega-xis growled in annoyance while Lyra, who came over with everyone else, spoke up, "Colorful or not, they were close enough to him that we mistaken one of them for him."
"Viruses attack for no reason," Omega-xis said.
"But viruses didn't attack here. Someone else did, and they are possibly able to EM Wave change," Acid spoke up from where he was by Ace.
"Hey Mr. Dubius, what's missing anyway?" Geo asked as he appeared to have given up the search.
"It was a device that would close off the entrance to the Alternate World. Now it's gone," he replied sadly.
"The Alternate World?" Sonia asked, her head tilted to the side in confusion.
"After the incident with La Mu, I found some sort of sphere that led me there. In that world, no one was there. Everyone lost their brother-bands and the continent of Mu crashed," Geo explained.
"Yeah well the door to it was left wide open. If any EM beings are there, they can freely come here. It was never shut after you left. It is possible that whoever stole the device didn't want to to be closed off," Artimese said.
"Hey Geo, how come in that world Mu crashed?" Bud asked.
"It's an Alternate World," Mr. Boreal explained, "where it reflects our world. If Geo hadn't stopped Mu from crashing here, the Alternate World would have been saved."
"So it's like a mirror?" Luna said.
"In a way, yes," Ace answered.
"Without the device, the entrances can't be closed to prevent future problems."
"You know, the timing of the virus we fought and this happening isn't a coincidence. I get the feeling that it was planned. Geo could have stopped the thief," Omega-xis said.
"You're right Omega-xis," Zack agreed, " the virus most likely was a distraction while the others attacked Amaken."
"Since two people attacked here, another must have controlled the virus. Three people were involved and we have no idea who they are. Unless there was some sort of tracking device on what was stolen, we also do not know where they are," Artimese pointed out.
"Three people possibly from the Alternate World," Ace murmured.
"Then lets go find them and take it back! We know where they are!" Omega-xis yelled with excitement.
"But how do we get there? Does anyone know where an entrance is at?" Sonia asked.
"We can use the one Geo and Omega-xis used when they went there," Lyra suggested.
"With the advancement in technology and with how much time passed, that entrance is no longer there. Because it was the first entrance opened to there, if we were to close that off first, the rest will follow as well," Mr. Boreal explained.
"So we need to find it and the device. Sounds easy enough," Omega-xis said. "Lets go!"
"I've been looking for the main entrance," Artimese spoke up, then shrugged, "but I've had zero luck. Mr. Dubius has been helping me look."
"We've been searching around Echo Ridge before looking elsewhere," Mr. Dubius added.
"Unfortunately, even if we did find it, we have no way of closing it," Acid said.
"Don't worry, we'll find it," Sonia said.
"Yeah!" Geo agreed.
AN: Sorry guys! I haven't forgotten this fanfic nor my other one, but writers block was kicking my butt on my other fanfic and back in late July/early August my computer's motherboard decided to crash on me. Thankfully my hard drive could be saved, but it took a while for me to get my computer tower built (family friend had a friend who was nice enough to make me a new tower for free). It also doesn't help that things were going on in real life. Then again, there was some event's going on in a game I play that I kinda wanted to join ^^; I was hoping to upload this along with the new chapter for my other fanfic, but I wanted to go ahead and upload this one.
