Gringotts was as busy as ever for a weekend. Chaos however just skipped her way up to a teller, grinning at the goblin. "Griphook! So glad it's you working today. I need a few things and I know you're the perfect goblin to help a lady out. My betrothed and I need to pick up bands out of the Corinthia vault, and I need to sign that paperwork we talked about."
The goblin seemed a cross between horrified at being treated so casually by a witch, and scared out of it's mind at the presence of the goddess. "Of course Lady Corinthia. Let me just summon someone to help you with that."
"Nonsense Griphook. I won't stand for any other goblin but you. In fact. I herby petition for you to be placed in charge of all of my dealings with Gringotts." She smiled and leaned over the podium to look him in the eyes. "And on a less formal note, I ask if you Griphook would stand as my friend within the Goblin Nation, my brother at arms, and ally."
Silence reigned in the hall of the bank. Every goblin was in shock, for most didn't know she was the goddess Chaos. Not since the time of the Founders had any witch or wizard asked for friendship of a goblin. Severus broke out of his thoughts as well and stepped forwards. "I, Severus Tobias Snape-Prince, also as it of you Griphook. So that our families might always be friends, so that our gold might grow together, and our enemies lay at our feet as one." Severus was ever the Slytherin. Since he was stuck with the goddess, and even more so stuck with her idea of getting married, why not floor the goblins some more and call for a familial alliance.
Chaos seemed to love his idea, if the squeal and kiss to his cheek was any indication. The goblin however was speechless, unable to produce any response beyond nodding, which only lead to the goddess squealing again and picking the goblin up into a hug. "Wonderful! Our families are going to be friends forever. Oh and I know my nephew is going to adore having a goblin uncle around!" She set the goblin on his feet. "Now how about we get all of that troublesome paperwork out of the way so that Severus can go on his little spending spree. Of course we might as well talk about the stipend for managing my accounts, and when we're all going to get together. I'm thinking a weekend. We can bring my nephew and you can bring your family. Make it a grand little picnic."
The rest of it seemed to go by quickly with the paperwork, Severus didn't even bother refuting putting his name down as the boy's guardian as well. The bonding bracelets were tasteful, and Severus could feel the sheer power eminating from them. They were silver in color, though Severus couldn't place the metal. Etched into them were a myriad of ancient runes and symbols, surrounding a crest of a large cat curled around the base of a tree.
"Lilith."
"Yes Severus?" She stopped in the middle of talking over details with Griphook to look at him.
"This crest..."
"It's my main animal form wrapped around the base of the Tree of Life. The woman I call my sister, even though she created me, much like she created everything else that exists or will exist." She smiled softly as she spoke and she leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Don't think on it too much right now Severus. I'm having the book about the bracelets that I wrote when they were created sent to our rooms for you to read when you're ready to. I'm just happy you're wearing it."
Severus' mind was reeling again with thoughts. Her crest was the Tree of Life itself along with her own form. It just served to cement just how powerful she was and the fact that she was in fact a goddess.
A/n: I know it's short, but it was a quick little scene that I wanted to get tossed in there because it will be important later. *hint hint* Also. I NEED those poll votes people. I'm having such a hard time choosing who Chaos' other man will be. Help me out! Also... I need a beta badly... Love ya all!
