Author's Note: After my last two chapters were published I received a Guest Review stating that my work is still unoriginal. Here is my view on that.

I'm not mad. I know my story is going to be original. I just need time, as the story is only beginning. Yes, I am using a lot of the typical pairings, but guess what? It's my story. xD I'll ship Sonic and Amy if I please, I'll ship Tails and Big if I really wanted to (I'm not, please don't leave). I won't go into too much detail, but I will be using characters that not everyone uses. I'll be portraying characters in ways that they're not typically shown as. And I'm going to be using my own- ahh, too much, Lynae, too much. Not everyone likes spoilers. All else that I can say is, no one is making you read my work. If you don't like it, don't read it. It's that simple.

Sorry, rant over. Sorry for the rough schedule I've got going on here. I'm trying to come up with some sort of routine to help me with stories, work, errands, my social life, and sleep. It's just hard to do with the fact that I don't get a consistent schedule at work. Anyway, here is Chapter 7 (I think). This is officially the longest story I've been working on, so far. For any of you guys reading my other work, I'm sorry, my main story focus is WtCH, whenever I can find the time for even this. Alright, if you haven't skipped this entire A/N already, enjoy the story!

(Tails' POV)

The halls got pretty busy and fast paced after the warning bell sounded. Being one of the smaller kids in school sucked, constantly being bumped into and nearly trampled. Cream and I could tell you all about it.

"So did you get in trouble?" I asked over my shoulder. Cream was close behind me, hugging her books and pencils close, knowing if she dropped anything, it was toast.

"Not really," She replied. "I got sent to Principal Voscain's office, but all he did was ask for my side of the story, then let me go."

"And Sonic and Scourge?"
"Lunch Detention."

"Huh. Guess Voscain was feeling generous." Cream giggled behind me and I looked back at her and smiled. She looked at me before looking down at the ground. "Hey, you oka-" Someone had bumped into her and she stumbled forward, trying to catch her footing before-

"OOF! I gotcha!" I said as Cream lost her balance and nearly dropped one of her books. "Here, can I help?" I offered.

"But you already have your own books to carry, I can-" I lifted a hand to stop her.

"I insist." Cream didn't say anything as I grabbed a couple books that seemed to be slipping. A vibrant red caught my attention and I looked to see what appeared to be a drawing of roses. "Hey, this is really good! I didn't know you could draw like this!" I turned the picture to her. "Oh! That one isn't finished yet. But if you go back a few pages, I drew some sunflowers and daisies, and the page after that one I just finished some lillies, and…" I looked back to Cream as she was showing me her work. She looked so excited talking about her drawings. I smiled to myself and she looked at me and got quiet.

"Oh… I'm sorry if I'm talking too much." I shook my head.

"Haha! No, not at all! It's cool to see you enjoying a hobby. Not everyone can draw like that." I said, pointing to her roses. She looked down and smiled.

"You know, I wasn't too sure about how I was liking this one. Because this rose is turning out to be a different shade. I thought it was gonna look weird. But really, it's just unique." I looked from the unfinished rose to her.

"Hey, that's pretty poetic of you." She gave a shy smile.

"Heehee, thank you, but it was actually Soni-" She stopped short and covered her mouth with her hand. I raised an eyebrow.

"Wait…" I crossed my arms. "You're telling me, that Sonic said that?"

"He told me not to tell anyone." She defended.

"Heh. Softie." I muttered. We stopped at Cream's classroom door, and I opened the door for her before handing her the sketchbook. "See ya later, Cream." She waved and walked inside. "And keep up the good work! Maybe you can try drawing a plane next!" I called out to her. She turned her head and looked over her shoulder and blushed. I returned the smile and made my way to my class.

"Well, look who it is. Mr. Ladies Man." I looked to my right to see Sonic, walking up to me with his hands behind his head. I rolled my eyes.

"Well if it isn't Mr. Fist Fighter." I replied. Sonic dropped his hands to his side, spun around, and walked backwards, facing me.

"Hey, come on, now." He said. "Can't I get a cooler name? How 'bout something like…" His face lit up with the snap of his fingers. "Ooh! I know! Fist Thrower! That's pretty badass, don't ya think?" I let out a short laugh.

"That's about the same as Mr. Fist Fighter."

"Nah. The only names that include 'Mr.' are cheesy pet names. I'm stickin' with Fist Thrower."

"Don't tell me you actually think people are gonna call you that."

"Pfft. Of course not. My close friends call me Sonic. People on my bad side? Fist Thrower's coming for them."

"You better watch where you're going before you run into something."

"You BEtter wATcH whERE yoU'Re goINg bEFore yOU RuN iNTo soMe- AHH!" I laughed as Sonic got back on track, rubbing his head. "Don't even." He stated, pointing at me as I tried to cease my laughter. We turned the corner and crossed the hall and into second period. We took our seats right as the bell rang. Mr. Nolan was nowhere to be seen. Instead, an unfamiliar face sat at the desk in the front of the room.

"Cool. A sub. You know what that means." Sonic said, turning to me.

"Free period." We said at the same time, bumping fists. Sonic leaned back in his chair put his earbuds in, and closed his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. I sighed, turned forward, and grabbed my notebook, opening up to my design in progress. I was working on a new project for Robotics. I was minding my business, ignoring all the chatter going on around me. It grew quiet as a door opened. A girl, who I had never seen before, poked through the door, looked down at the ground as she walked over to the sub, and handed her a piece of paper. I tried to get a good look at the girl. A pink hedgehog, our grade. I nudged Sonic, who appeared to be dozing off.

"Hey, Sonic, check it out." Nothing. "Sonic." I called, tugging on his cord, pulling his earbuds out. He snored.

Unbelievable. I thought to myself. The sub stood at the front of the room.

"Is anyone willing to help a fellow student out?" I looked at Sonic, who was off in La La Land. Then back to the girl, who seemed to not enjoy being in the spotlight. I raised my hand.

"I can." The sub gave a smile as I walked up to her.

"She's looking for B-206. Would you mind showing her the way?"

"Sure thing!" I turned to the girl standing there. "I'm Tails. You must be new here." She nodded with a friendly smile. "Alright, let's get going then. It's a long walk, being that it's on the other side of campus." I chuckled. She gave a shy smile as I led the way out the door.

"So, what's your name?" I asked.

"Amy. Amy Rose."

"And you're a Freshman?" She nodded.

"Make any friends yet?" She thought about it.

"Well, someone did invite me to sit with them at lunch today."

"That's cool. Everyone here is nice… for the most part." I said. "We don't have a whole lot of hedgehogs, though." I added. "My best friend is a hedgehog. All together, I think we have like ten in this entire school." We turned the corner and continued down the hall, walking past the cafeteria. "That's the cafeteria," I pointed out. "And over there are the doors that lead to the courtyard. Obviously we could've just cut through there, but it's raining pretty hard out." I said, looking through a window as we passed. I pointed a few other places out, like the library and the art room.

"So, where did you come from? What made you transfer?"

"Trevalin. My mom got a new job, so we moved closer." She looked a little sad. I placed a hand on her shoulder, showing her my sympathy.

"Hey, I know that you're sad, but I'm sure you'll like it here. Just make some good friends and have fun." I drew my hand back and she looked at me and sighed, then forced a smile. "Thank you… Tails…?" She said, noticing my two tails. I scratched the back of my head, with a nervous laugh.

"Yeah, heh. My real name is Miles Prower. But my friends call me Tails." Amy looked a little confused.

"But, I called you Tails." I raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah?" I laughed. "What's wrong? I'll be your friend. I'm sure my other friends will welcome you too." I assured her. She thought about it, and smiled. A real smile. She looked nice, and friendly. We came to a stop at B-206's door.

"Well, here we are. Mr. Bowley's Math Class." I said. Amy took a deep breath and let her shoulders drop. She turned her direction towards me with a smile.

"Thanks again, Tails. I'll see you later." She placed her hand on the door knob and before she could turn it, I spoke up.

"Hey, you're welcome to sit with me and my friends at lunch today. We'll have an empty seat for you."

"Someone already invited me to sit with them." She said, with an apologetic smile. Maybe tomorrow?" I nodded my head and she opened the door, disappearing into the classroom. I made my way back to the classroom where Sonic was still sleeping, head on the desk, a puddle of drool by his mouth. I let out a short laugh and sat back down next to him, continuing my design for my project.

Alright, that's the end of that chapter. I know these seem to be pretty boring, but like I said in my A/N before this chapter, the story is just beginning. I have big plans for this story, but they won't fit in to this particular area of the story, so please, just bare with me!

Next chapter? Hmm. I have no idea. I'm just gonna pull up a blank document and roll with it. I'm gonna try, I just have no idea where it's gonna take us. Alright, until then, Stay crazy, but not too crazy ;P

I told you I would come up with some sort of catch phrase. ;)
