"Alright Ruby Monkey let's get this started," Sahara nervously said to Hellboy as he prepared himself for their battle.

She stood their sighing with anticipation and jitters putting on the act very well for he bought that she was still inferior and easy to beat once again.

He replied cockily, "Just wait their Kitten, I'm pumping myself up for my easy victory over kicking your golden ass."

She put her hands on her hips and replied, "Aren't you suppose to be teaching me hand to hand instead of trying to beat the ultimate crap out of me?"

Hellboy, "Ay, you can learn a ton from your failures."

He finished this statement with his demon smirk. Sahara batted back a teasing and disgusted face in response to his taunts.

She put her fists up in a weak looking stance feigning that she still had not a clue to what she was doing. In turn Hellboy laughed mockingly at her composure.

She irritably shouted, "What? I'm bracing myself for our skirmish. Don't I look like the epitome of combating?"

This caused him to roar with more laughter. He straightened himself up and gave one look at Sahara to then began his laughing fit all over again.

Sahara, "Alright! Shut up and let's get this started."

He sighed, "I gotta tell ya Kitten you all ways know how to cheer me up." She gave a scowling growl at this.

She began to attack him bluntly and naively, holding no fire or intended harm with her blows. Hellboy in turn combated her with teasing blocks and sounds to piss her off. He softly tapped her with punches and cried like a baby when her feather slaps reached his face. She then quickly escalated to her real style of what she was taught. With every single movement she caught Hellboy's blow and returned the favor on him too quick for him to react. He soon became astonished and was being driven back to the far wall of his room.

Hellboy, "How did you learn to get so skilled without me knowing?"

Sahara, "I got help, Abe mentored me."

Hellboy, "Abe isn't the strongest nor artistic in this aspect."

Sahara, "True, I defeated him three times but he taught me well giving me wonderful techniques."

Hellboy, "That's unfair, you've played dirty. You cheat!"

She smiled, "I believe that there is no such thing as cheating in training."

With that she flashed her leg out causing his feet to meet the air and land harshly on his back. She pounced on him before he could even touch the ground.

She smirked at him, "I own you Hellboy! Oooohhh, getting beat by a girl! The master at hand to hand combat being taken down by a wimpy novice as I! Ha, wait til' I spread this around the bureau!" She gasped in mock realization, "The agents will start looking at you different, how would Liz even be able to look you in the eye? Even Manning-"

Angered beyond normal and feeling his pride being cast downward he shot up off the floor to a standing position. Sahara swiftly danced backward taunting him with each step. He swung and flung everything he could at her but she dodged each blow. This only raised his temper to the dangerous levels and he soon became a red frenzy coming down on top of Sahara. Her eyes glinted with worry, rapidly becoming unsure in her abilities. Quickly his attention caught the swipe of her tail behind her and an idea sparked inside. He instant lunged toward it.

Her eyes went huge and she begged, "Hellboy please no it's still tender and broken, Hellboy!-"

Out in the corridor making his way past Hellboy's room, Abe was roaming the halls fully engrossed in a tablet, until his ears were filled with yells of pain booming from inside his quarters. Quickly he rushed into see what was wrong.

Abe, "What's happening here?"

He looked down and gasped tremendously at what he saw. Sahara was on the floor with a portion of her tail strewn at her feet, with the other half still connected to her body bleeding out heavily.

Hellboy gave a panicked look at his old time pal, "Uh, hey Blue a funny thing just seemed to happen…"

Abe was furious as he looked from Sahara to Hellboy but he had no time to reprimand him for she needed medical attention stat if she were to keep her tail and not bleed out on the floor. Speedily he gathered her up into his arms, tail and all, and rushed to the small medical chamber.

Fortunately time was on their side so they were able to save Sahara's tail. It was also due to the fact that the bureau's technology was so advanced, like that of an alien's spacecraft, and that her injury was a clean and easy sever. The silence in the room mounted with such tension that you'd have to cut your way in from its sheer thickness and high divide between each person.

Abe put his hands on the slab where Sahara laid and leaned over sighing, "It's saved, you should be alright now Sara."

She sat up and smiled at him expressing her gratitude. He attempted his smile back to her but then turned toward Hellboy with cold eyes who, was now, at the far corner of the room with his arms crossed.

Liz then burst in, "I came as soon as I heard! Sahara are you-"

She took a quick scan of the room and quickly felt the tension and anger leveling out in the room.

Sahara smiled at her friend, "Hi Liz, I'm fine now, Abe saved me, again, and I should be good after a couple of months more."

Liz sighed with relief then she cast blazing to Hellboy, "What is wrong with you! Don't you know she could've lost her tail? This pride fighting thing has got to stop before worse happens."

She hit him across the face and he gave a hissing sound in response, "Ow…thanks sparky I needed that."

Liz, "You deserve more than that. For goodness sakes we're suppose to be her trainers not her opponents!" I should-"

Abe stopped her, "Liz thank you for your expression but I would think Hellboy is being punished enough in dealing with the fact that he sunk so low as to worsen an already serious injury."

Hellboy came off the wall and slyly said, "Thanks Blue glad you got my back."

Abe chuckled, "Anytime."

Sahara smiled then bounced up on her feet and made her way to Hellboy.

She crossed her arms and looked up at him with a smirk, "I hold no hard feelings Ruby Monkey, I know that you have pride issues and of that I didn't help in hurting them. I forgive you and I hope you forgive me for my angering words."

She extended her arm indicating a truce. He stared down at her and shifted his weight to then slap her hand away to only engulf her in a bear hug, swinging her around the room. Liz gave a smirk trying with all her might to not laugh at the heartfelt scene that quickly unfolded.

Liz, "Ok that's nice and all but I say hand to hand training with you two should end for now, at least until her tail is healed completely."

Hellboy, "Aw come on Sparky I-"

She silenced him with a glare and he hesitantly complied. Liz then took Sahara by the hand and began to pull her out of the room.

"Come lets get you back on learning how to shoot fire arms and manual weapons."

Sahara laughed looking back at the boys, "Thanks Abe I will see you guys later."

Back in her stall she refreshed her memory with target practice and aiming multiple types of guns at moving targets. Liz was leaned up against the wall of the stall nodding her head.

Liz, "Good, now that you have this down I shall teach you how to shoot an arrow from a bow, not a harpoon, but a good old fashion bow."

Sahara gulped at this, "I'm not sure if I could be able to do that."

Liz raised her hand, "Please you shall be fine, let's get started."

Quickly she hooked her up with a single bow and a couple of blunted arrows. She taught her how to cock the arrow by using only the end pads of her thumb and pointer with the middle finger to hold the arrow in place and draw the bow back. She taught her how to raise and aim. With he first shot she missed by a mile, grunting she stomped her foot and reached for another and cocked that one readying it to fire. An agent behind her from in the back of the room offered some encouraging words.

Agent, "Good try Sahara!"

She turned around in mid aim and shouted back, "Thanks!"

But as she did she fired, almost hitting that agent; also causing a couple around him to take cover. Liz slowly turned a glare to her as Sahara lowered her head in shame.

Walking back down the corridor was a scolding Liz and an unconfident Sahara.

"Ok maybe my aim isn't all that good."

Liz, "Not that good! You almost skewed four agents in a row in the far back corner of the gun zone!"

Hellboy and Abe came up to them at this time.

Hellboy, "How did it go ladies?"

Liz crossed her arms, "She almost killed five agents with an arrow down there. Almost in execution style too."

Hellboy, "By any chance was Manning among them?"

She shook her head, "No."

Hellboy, "Damn, ah well, you'll get better with practice. As long as you can fire a gun you should be ok."

He messed up the hair on the top of her head.

Abe approached her, "Early tomorrow morning we shall continue with our swimming session."

Sahara perked up, "Awesome I'm so ready for that!"

He attempted his smile, "Good you're going to need all of your energy for this one."

She smiled at him and the four went their separate ways; Hellboy and Liz to their room and Abe and Sahara to the library to rest up for tomorrow.
