"It's supposed to be over by month 4," He mentioned offhandedly as Annie flushed the toilet.
"Month 4? Auggie. ugh I'm only at month two and I hate puking."
"I know but at least you have better things going on," He replied trying to cheer her up.
It only made Annie more angry as she loaded the dishwasher, "like, what, boob pain and frequent trips to the bathroom."
"No," Auggie said huskily finding her waisted and his lips on her neck, "like hormones."
"Hmmmumm," She said turning so that their lips could be on one another's.
"I, don't think that we should do this," She panted after a few minutes both of them only half clothed now, "we've done it twice in the kitchen this week."
"Wanna try the bathroom," He grinned tickling her lips as they brushed against each other.
"I hate the fucking bathroom," She almost growled and pushed him to the couch, "I puke in that thing everyday."
Auggie laughed although he was already expecting that reaction
"Can we read about month six now?" He asked as he grabbed the blanket on the back of the couch and covered their unclad bodies.
"No I wanna sleep," She whined snuggling into him.
"I get your carrying my child and everything but sometimes I think I'm too exhilarating for you."
"Shut up," She grumbled, "or else I might have to find my shirt."
"I'm sorry but your always nauseous, sleepy, or hungry."
"You forgot your favorite 'hormonal'."
"I don't even really like that one because it makes you emotional."
Annie had already snuggled into his chest drifting off to sleep.
Later as she munched on toast she remembered their previous conversation "you know I haven't been that sleepy because I haven't even taken a nap all week."
"That's because you've been at work all week, so how do you like being back at the CIA?"
"Well working in archives sucks, but it's better then nothing."
"At least Joan hasn't offered you anything dangerous, that would require telling her your pregnant," He pointed out.
"I, I know I just..."
"It's okay," Auggie cupped his hand over hers, "I get it." The last thing he wanted her to do was start crying and that's what she sounded like.
"I'm sorry," Annie whispered to him at about midnight. She had been tossing and turning for over an hour, and knew that he still had to be awake.
"For what?" He sounded clueless.
"Everything I've put you through, and I don't just mean last time. I mean every time like with-"
"Hey, wait. I know that I've hurt you for things I wasn't aware of in the past also. I'm not saying that we are done talking about the past because we are not. I'm just saying that right now it can wait. You need sleep for your big day."
She laced her fingers through his, "its your big day too. I think there will be a heartbeat for you to hear, and I'm totally not telling our boss alone."
"Don't remind me of Joan, I'm kind of dreading that."
"Glad we are on the same page."
"I guess the rainbows we've had the past couple weeks have to come to an end at some point."
They had some silent mutual agreement and in seconds both were fast asleep.
