Tamaki's POV

"You can tell me."

"I don't want to," he said harshly and immediately covered his mouth. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"No, I get it." And I was gone. If he didn't want me there I wasn't going to force him to let me talk things through with him. Instead I left the building and stepped out into the cool spring air, getting soaked in a matter of seconds as I waited for my limousine to pull around. I stepped into the car, shivering, and the driver closed the door behind me, and as he walked around to get back into the car I pulled out my phone. It vibrated in my hand and the screen lit up with a text message from Kyoya. I ignored it. He could save his bullshit for another day.

"Did you have a pleasant day, Master Tamaki?" the driver asked as he drove out of the school gates. I smiled.

"Yes, thank you for asking, sir."

"I've told you countless times, Master, to call me Tai," he offered me a goofy grin as he stopped at the stopsign. I couldn't help but chuckle at his face.

"Okay, Tai." I paused. I had never noticed how young Tai really looked. As he turned to face me, I could see youth in his eyes. Yet he looked quite old. It was almost as if his face had aged, but the rest of him remained twenty.

"Tai?"

"Yes, Master?"

"How old are you?"

Tai was silent for a few moments. "Pardon my asking, but why would you like to know?"

"I was just wondering."

"I'm twenty-six," he replied quietly.

I nodded at the answer. "Thank you for telling me."

"Of course."

The rest of the minutes were spent in silence as I watched rain pound against the windshield. I couldn't feel anything, which was surprising-any other time I would feel pain and sadness. But for some reason, I felt just numb. Nothing else.

It's almost as if my heart had frozen over.

Tai pulled to a stop and hopped out of the car quickly, rushing to let me out. I nodded in thanks to him when he opened my door and I shut it myself. He seemed shocked by this. "Take the night off," I said to him. His face went blank, and then it filled with happiness.

"Thank you so much, Master Tamaki!"

"Please, it's just Tamaki."

He nodded and rushed off to pull the limousine into the garage before he left. I smiled. It felt good to make someone happy.

And then came the pain.

I groaned as I felt my heart pound loudly in my ears. I felt a lump in my throat and tears threatening to spill. Kyoya's words kept replaying in my head, and though every other part of me was soaked and freezing, my lips felt warm, and I felt like his lips were still on mine.
