Near the Planeptune Dungeon, Planeptune, Gamindustri.
After having left the basilicom, the party consisting of Neptune, Noire, Blanc, Vert and their younger sisters have headed out to start the treasure hunt. They'll have plenty of fun navigating hell to find the artifact, then they'll have to backtrack out of there. Nobody dies. This is rated T, not rated Death. With preparations complete, they head out to find the forest. Oddly enough, they're walking instead of flying. Why? Not sure.
As the group walk along a trail to the dungeon of death and destruction, they come across a few tell tale signs that are obvious warning signs of the danger ahead in that dungeon.
"Really, why did the man upstairs make dungeons like these?" Neptune would say. Clearly she knows. Or she does NOT know. Maybe she's complaining like she normally does, which is to be expected, you know? "Hey, why's the narrator monologuing? And most importantly, why's he talking about me?" Neptune would say once more.
It'd be very nice if we could get through this chapter. She does not know who pays for the repair and replacement of the 4th wall. The group then comes across what appears to be the enterance to the dungeon of pain and destruction, in which the first treasure, at least the first treasure they find is located deep within.
"So this is the dungeon, huh?" Noire would say, perhaps with a hint of worry in her voice. "It looks very dangerous." Obviously she has never been in a dungeon of this magnitude. "For Keter to make a dungeon like this... He may have gone overboard. I dont think a CPU could traverse this without help!"
"Well, since we're all here, This dungeon should be relatively easy." Blanc would say, with an air of confidence flowing from her. She clearly does not know the horrors that awaits the group.
"My my, Blanc. You're getting confident. Of all the people I would expect to be confident, I never thought you would be." Vert would say, Most likely to get a reaction out of the Goddess of Lowee. "Perhaps something changed. Did you get a bigger bust?" Vert would continue.
"Oi... Why don't you knock it off, Thunder Tits!" Blanc would snap back. "How about I bulldoze those mountains of yours!" She would angrily yell, possibly jeopardizing the entire group.
"Big sis... calm down!" Rom would say, in an attempt to calm down her big sister. "Yeah, sis! Calm down! You can beat up those monsters over there!" Ram would say as she pointed to a group of high level and very dangerous monsters that are currently blocking the path.
Everyone of course, turns to look at the group of monsters. They're no ordinary monsters either. No cannon fodder, like dogoos, but dragons, not the generic ones, but giant dragons, with Asian dragons and European dragons in the same dungeon, coupled with giant robots for some reason, with those giant floating monsters with a grotesque resemblance to a human for some odd reason. I forgot the name.
"They don't look easy to beat." Vert would say. She's right. Not to mention the entire dungeon looks like its straight from mustafar, combined with hell and an erupting volcano. At least this dungeon is.
"Nepu! Aside from those nasty monsters, this place looks like its gonna explode!" Neptune would yell loudly. "I don't want to stay here much longer, Lets beat up these monsters and find the artifact!"
"Im right behind you, big sis!" Nepgear would say, making sure her big sister has backup. The other CPUs and their sisters, except poor Vert are also ready to make the treacherous journey through this titanic and extremely unforgiving dungeon. God bless them.
"No time to waste, everyone! Lets go!" Noire would say. "I don't want to stay here forever, so lets find that artifact then get out of here as fast as possible!" She then charges into battle with the other CPUs, Not wanting to waste time, and to get out of here, because it looks like this dungeon may actually explode soon.
It looks like progress has been made, but not by much. Our goddesses were forced to use HDD due to how tough the monsters are. In terms of how far they got in the dungeon, they cleared the first quarter of this insanely large dungeon using teamwork or blasting mobs to oblivion with skills. Or both at the same time.
"Wha... What are with those dragons?" Purple Heart would say, exhausted. "Theres two kinds in this dungeon... the tactics used on the dragons that seem to levitate dont work on the ones with wings." Black Heart would add in, clearly unhappy with how this damn dungeon was made.
Luckily for them however, it appears the defeated monsters don't respawn. Maybe out of respect because you beat their immense power. Either that or they got killed so hard they died to death after dealing a severe beating to the party.
Rom and Ram do what they do best, aside from entombing enemies in ice and crushing them with said ice, which is healing. They heal the entire party, who then psyche themselves up for the second quarter of the dungeon. Which is filled with different monsters. They look angry. Very, VERY angry.
"Lets not relax now, looks like the next batch of monsters look like they want to kill us." Green Heart would say. "Well then, lets just kill them first!" White Heart would yell. It wont end pretty.
As the goddesses and their little sisters head out to the 2nd quarter of the dungeon, Someone else is doing something. Not devious, but learning some history. It must know what happened in the eons between It's defeat and the present day.
Inside an ancient cathedral, ?, Gamindustri.
It paced around inside. Taking a look around. What appears to be a cathedral which appears to be made not long after It was defeated. Most likely after a few decades.
It did not talk, as It had no need to. It knows that there are codices and texts of history within this cathedral.
It finds a selection of books. It knows It has time to spare. It then takes the books, then sits down to read.
Nobody would enter a cathedral like this. Its too old, nothing of value or interest. Texts within codices that are hard to read. Sigils and Runes which make up the ancient text. With a limited omniscience, It deciphers and reads. Learning. It knows much, but at the same time, It knows little.
Biding its time, It reads. It can read as long as It wants to. But if It were to fight...
"...Simply, I cannot fight head-to-head without backup. I may as well gauge the strength of these goddesses by forming Avatars and transferring my consciousness to the bodies." It would say.
It continues on, reading away. Nothing will disturb It's study.
Meanwhile...
The CPUs and Candidates move through the treacherous conditions of the dungeon, defeating hyper aggressive and sometimes very large monsters, even with how hot or cold it is. Sometimes it would be so foggy that you cant see. Sometimes so cold that water would freeze instantly. Sometimes so hot that you would burst into flames.
Luckily, the goddesses can use their shares to protect themselves from the extreme environment. But the Goddess of Lowee is pissed off.
"GOD DAMN IT! WHY THE HELL WOULD KETER MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS!" White Heart would yell, clearly pissed off because of this ridiculous dungeon.
Luckily, they are halfway through. Between each quarter there is a small area where suicidal adventurers or CPUs could rest before proceeding.
"Calm down, Blanc! I'm sure that with the pace we're at, We'll be out of this dungeon in a hour at least!" Purple Heart would say, hoping to calm down the raging Flat-Chested CPU.
"That's if these monsters and environment dont slow us down, Neptune." Black Heart would say, cruelly dropping reality onto Neptune. The fact the candidates were tired did not help either.
Of course, they had no choice but to rest a bit and proceed. It looked as if the dungeon was going to collapse soon, with eruptions happening, geysers starting to spew out steam, and the general outlook itself was rather grim.
Luckily, the monsters were getting incapacitated by the heat and steam, which made them easier to defeat. But the stamina of the goddesses were running out due to the harshness of the environment. A battle against time to get the artifact. However, the dungeon will not explode or collapse unlike what the goddesses are thinking.
I, the narrator does not dictate what happens. I just narrate. Blame the author.
Later...
Progressing through the dungeon, the CPUs saw a glint. That very glint was the artifact. The glimmer of hope they had once they saw it was immediately pulverized when a giant hydra stood in their way.
"...Oh come on..." whined Purple Heart. You can't blame her. They were THAT close to the artifact, and the only thing standing in their way was a hydra. A very angry and very strong hydra.
"A Hydra of all things, but why now?" Green Heart would say, clearly displeased. "And It is the only obstacle we have..." She would also add.
"God damn it, I'm sick of this! Lets just smash that to bits!" White Heart would say, before charging at the Hydra.
The rest of the goddesses took a moment before going to help White Heart with killing the Hydra, as the candidates followed a bit behind. Of course, they are tired. Try doing parkour with clothes you would wear in the winter in the summer, while it is very humid. That is what the CPUs are dealing with. Along with a Hydra.
After a battle that lasted shorter than It should've, mainly because the Hydra was beaten into a pulp by constant EXE drives and SP attacks, the CPUs went to the Artifact, which was in fact, a Ĺdachi which looked similar to the one Neptune would use.
After a bit of debating and finally agreeing that Purple Heart should pry the sword out because the dungeon is located within Planeptune, the CPUs stood back and let Neptune pull the sword out, and she did it with surprising ease.
"Well... I thought I had to exert more power for that..." Purple Heart would say as she inspected the sword.
The dungeon starts rumbling and shuddering, causing the CPUs and the Candidates to look around, panicking. Before they can think of a plan, the Dungeon is filled with a bright light.
The CPUs open their eyes, as they see the remains of the dungeon. It has mostly disappeared, looking as if most of it had blown up. They check their surroundings, confirming that they are not dead and are still alive, and to make sure that the dungeon actually vanished.
"...Huh... It disappeared?" Purple Heart would say, breaking the silence.
"It appears that it has." said Black Heart.
The CPUs and the Candidates de-transform, before they sat down to rest a bit.
"Oh man... That dungeon was just crazy!" Neptune would say as she laid down on the ground.
"You can say that again, Neptune..." Noire would say before she sat down.
"Wait... There more dungeons..." Blanc would mutter.
"...And they are in the other nations." Vert would finish.
However, the CPUs did not want to go to another nation to find the next artifact. They wanted to rest a bit, and rest they do, as they lay down on the grass and take a nap.
Meanwhile...
It had read through most of the important texts and codices in the ancient cathedral and left, having read what It needed to know.
It heads to Lowee, a nation It had read about, along with the other nations in Gamindustri. The abundance of libraries should help It gain more knowledge of the modern world, which was far more confusing and different than the Hyperdimension It knew from eons ago.
However, It was capable of adapting quickly. It stayed in the shadows, observing the citizens, before quickly and quietly integrating into society for the time being, as it head to a famous library within Lowee.
Later...
It had arrived at the destination It seeked, and proceeded to head to the history section. It could care less about the other books, and simply brushed away the librarians who thought It needed help.
It does not want to drag attention to itself, and killing a librarian would be bad news, as a large amount of attention would be dragged towards It.
"Hmph... Narrator, It is not nice to call me 'It'." It would say.
"I beg your pardon, but for me to NOT call you 'It', you must reveal your name to the audience.
"...Nah. I have a feeling that some tsundere or a flat-chested girl or some chunnibyou girl will give me a name."
Somewhere else, Noire, Blanc, and IF sneezed.
"OK. I don't get paid enough for this job anyways. Back to narrating."
It would shrug, before continuing to read, learning more about the history of the nations and the CPUs that rule them.
It certainly liked reading, a good way to pass the time while gaining knowledge.
"Knowledge is power... Patience is Virtue..." It would mutter as it continued reading.
After spending a while reading, It went onto a computer after watching someone use it, to learn how to use a computer.
Then, It went to learn about some recent history, learning of Affimax, The Gold Third, ASIC, Deity of Sin, and some other tidbits.
"Seems interesting... This may come in handy for finding minions to do spying." It would say.
It would then go web surfing, getting distracted by pictures of cute animals and finding the equivalent of Reddit, 'Neppit', where it then wasted time browsing.
Meanwhile...
"Well, we should be getting to Lastation." Noire would say, looking a bit impatient. "If the next dungeon is in Lastation, then we should be heading there right now."
"Why not rest for a bit more?" whined Neptune.
"We've already rested quite a bit, so It is time to move on." Vert would say.
"Then lets go." Noire would say, dragging Neptune along as the rest of the girls followed suit and went to Lastation.
But to save time, they decided to take a train to Lastation instead of walking. Flying is quicker but takes up too much energy, and would be quite interesting to know why the CPUs and the Candidates are flying from nation to nation.
And with that, Our heroines head to Lastation, where they will repeat the same thing they did in Planeptune, While our main antagonist is looking at demotivational posters and cats online for some reason. Maybe to pass the time.
Essentially, a race against time. Sort of.
Well, that took longer than expected.
Sorry for the ridiculous wait, guys. I'm an asshole.
I'll be working on the next chapter(s).
Review, Favorite and Follow if you want to. I won't make you.
