Hey everyone! Very busy as always, I recently went to Paris last month for a week holiday. It was mostly just exploring famous sights and I have been to Disneyland Paris for two days. I gotta say, that ride Hollywood Tower of Terror really surprised me, it was a lot different to what I first thought.

Now to talk about Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V, wow. What a brilliant plot so far! A Pendulum Fusion... I think Yuya will do a Pendulum Synchro and a Pendulum XYZ in the near future and Yuto, what a guy! I hope this plot becomes much cooler in the future.

Now for the chapter, this is the biggest chapter I've ever done on this site ever. It's over 11,000 words so sit back and relax because you're in for a long one.

Chapter 6 - The Shadow Duelist

It had been a boring and slow September for the Slifers, the classes they were mostly in consisted of dueling basics or just Dr. Crowler teaching in general. But in one class, Jaden decided that they should tell ghost stories before going to bed tonight, since it was a day before Halloween. Of course, everyone agreed to it since they thought it was a good idea and finished up on their classes to meet up back in the Dorm. As everyone arrived, they waited for night to appear and they set up a table with three chairs, turned the lights off and placed a candle to make it the only light source in the room. Jaden placed a pile of duel monster cards on the table and everyone looked at Jaden, curious as to what the cards were for.

"We're making it interesting guys, we each pick a card from the top of this deck and the higher the level, the scarier the story has to be". Roxas smiled. 'Interesting... so the story is based on the monster's level? If so, I hope I get a low level one since I don't know many scary stories...' Syrus interrupted Roxas' thoughts as he said, "Okay then, I'll go first". Syrus sat down on one of the chairs that was opposite Jaden's and picked up the top card from the pile, but he didn't let anyone see it. He had a small smile and put the card face down next to the pile, Syrus then began his story.

"It was a full moon night and underneath the full moon, I see a cavern". Jaden leaned closer as he was interested in the story. "Oh really? Then what?" Syrus answered by continuing with the story. "Then inside the cavern I see a mysterious lake and as I was looking at the lake, I see a rare and powerful card. Naturally I went to go and get it, but then... an arm shoots out and starts dragging me into the lake!" He added in, "Not the water! Anything but the water!" Jaden smiled. "Aw come' on, water's not scary". Syrus calmed down a little and added, "Dirty swamp water? Yeah, you're right. Only a chump would react to that". Jaden looked at the card Syrus picked up. "Still, mid-level scare for a mid-level card..." Jaden left the card face up next to the pile. "...But for me, I hope I get a high level!" But he was then dissapointed that the card he drew was a level one card, Sinister Serpent.

"Aww, you get to hardly scare us with that level one card". Jaden had a small smile. "I got the story for it, well... it's more like a memory. Back when I was a kid I hear voices, but I only hear them really late at night. I thought I was dreaming, but they were coming from a different room. I opened the door, but there was nothing, nothing at all except my cards". Everyone was getting closer, including Roxas who was interested in the story. "And?" Jaden leaned back on his chair. "And that's the end of the story". Everyone sighed, disappointed with the outcome. "That's it?" Jaden was looking up in thought. "But do you know what's weird? Lately, I've been hearing him again..." Roxas heard what Jaden said and thought, 'That must be Winged Kuriboh he's talking about, maybe he'll appear to him soon like Scrap King did... I guess I'll find out later after I tell the guys a story'. "Okay guys, it's my turn!" They all looked at Roxas as he was about to draw his card and they hoped that he would get a higher level.

Roxas drew the top card and looked at the level, it was a level 5. Roxas sighed and was glad it wasn't any higher. "Okay guys, I only have one story to tell and I'm glad it was this level". Roxas then turned the card to show everyone what it was, it was the level 5 monster, Cyber Dragon. Roxas sat down on a chair and placed the card he drew on the other two drawn cards. He then picked up two cards from his deck. "You all know Sonic don't you?" They all nodded their heads. "Well, he's the main hero of this planet..." Roxas pointed to one of the cards which was his field spell, Mobius. "...Mobius and this is where this story begins".

"It starts with a spaceship hovering on the planet's orbit, owned by a scientist known as Dr. Eggman. H-" Roxas was going to continue, but everyone started giggling at the name. Jaden managed to say through his laughter. "Dr. Eggman?! That's the funniest name I ever heard!" Roxas smiled. "Yeah, it's a funny name. His original name is called Dr. Ivo Robotinik, but Sonic called him Eggman due to his egg-shaped figure. Anyway, he was about to fire a laser to Mobius, but something crashed into the room, it was Sonic in his Super Form. He was fighting Eggman pretty easily with the power that he had, but strangely, Eggman was surrending. Eggman told him to go to a particular spot to teleport back, but it was a trap! A glass case covered Sonic and sucked the power out of him. But then, Eggman had a plan, it wasn't a laser he was using, it was a transfer beam! He used it to get a dark energy and transfer it to Sonic to make him his slave..."

The Slifers were getting goosebumps from the story and Jaden asked, "What about Sonic? What happened to him?" Roxas continued on. "Well, let's just say that things got messy for Sonic. As the dark energy went to Sonic, his body was becoming darker and his hands were becoming more like claws, his fur was darker, his ears and nose were more pointier and he had a larger tail. Sonic then was out of energy and he couldn't move, then Eggman pulled a lever which sent Sonic back to Mobius. Now ever since that incident, evey night Sonic is known as Sonic... the Werehog".

Jaden smiled. "That's cool! Do you have a picture of him?" Roxas crossed his arms, answering the question. "I'm not sure, I better check". Roxas looked at his Extra Deck, he had Muttski, Egg Dragoon, Sonic Boom Dragon, Super Sonic and Super Shadow, but no Werehog. "Sorry Jaden, but I don't have him. Shame". Roxas put his Extra Deck away and everyone heard a voice. "Hey, I want to join on your festivities". The owner of the voice went closer to the light and it was Professor Banner. Everyone except Roxas, who just jumped surprised at who it was, were at the edge of their seats. Roxas smiled at the other Slifers, but then turned to the Professor. "Why don't you draw a card? The higher the level, the scarier your story has to be".

"Well that seems easy enough". Professor Banner drew the top card and it was the level 12 card, Five-Headed Dragon. Jaden and Roxas' eyes widened at the card and Jaden stated the obvious. "Woah, that's a level 12 monster!" Syrus knew his story wasn't going to be at his liking. "Yeah, I think I'm gonna go to bed now". Roxas smiled as Banner was laughing. "What's wrong? Don't you want to hear about the Abandoned Dorm?" Roxas was curious. "The Abandonded Dorm?" Professor Banner then explained. "Yes, no one talks about it as it holds a dark secret. It is rumoured that three students went there and disappeared". Syrus gulped and asked, "Where did they all go?"

"Well that's the mystery of it, but it was rumoured that it had something to do with the Shadow Games". Chumley was too scared as he was hiding by a couch, but Roxas didn't know much about these 'Shadow Games' before. "You see children, Shadow Games were held by seven mystical items..." Banner wanted to continue, but it sounded like Jaden knew what he was talking about. "Millenium Items, right? I heard the stories, but they're not true". Banner chuckled a little. "Well, a story does have to come from somewhere..." The cat the Professor was holding yawned and gave a small meow. "Well I should be getting to bed, good night children". All of the Slifers answered back, "Good night!"

Syrus then told something to Jaden which might have something to do with the story. "You know, I did see this old building on the other side of the island". Jaden smiled. "Aww sweet! Then you can lead the way for us, tomorrow night!" Syrus was shocked, but it seemed that Jaden was ready for an adventure any day. Roxas looked at Jaden thinking that this wasn't such a bad idea, as long as they weren't caught. 'What do you think Scrap King? Sound like an adventure to you?' Scrap King materialised next to Roxas and quietly answered for him, since Jaden might hear him. "Roxas, I go wherever you go and if anything happens, we got each other's backs". Roxas smiled. 'Thanks, Scrap King'.

So that's how it was for the Slifer Gang, it was the night of the Abandonded Dorm and the Slifers were going through their studies or most likely sleeping through classes. However, Roxas was looking at some books in the library to find out some more information on the Millenium Items and these 'Shadow Games' that Professor Banner mentioned last night. So far, he found some information about the items themselves in a historic book and a diagram of each item. "So there's seven of them with different dark powers, one was a puzzle shaped like an upside-down pyramid, one as a rod, one as a set of scales, one as a key, one as a eye, one as a necklace and one as a ring..."

Roxas then looked up each of the items seperately, he couldn't find much but he got some information. "The Millenium Scales and Key were owned by Shadi an Egyptian Preist, the person who owns the Necklace was Ishizu Ishtar, Marik's sister. Marik Ishtah had the Rod, Maximillion Pegasus has the Eye, Bakura had the Ring and lastly Yugi Muto owned the Puzzle... where have I heard that name before?" Roxas then looked up any book that would have information on any famous duelists, since the name made him thought of that. "Ah! Here! Yugi Muto, also Known as the King of Games..." Roxas kept reading, but kept silent. He seemed interested in the way he dueled back then. "His deck looks amazing..." He closed the book and put it away. "...wish I could meet him or see his deck for real..." Roxas then put away the other books he looked at. 'Better get back to the dorm and meet the guys... tonight's the night!'

3 Hours Later

"Jaden, have you got your torch yet?!" Syrus shut Roxas' mouth. "Shh! We're supposed to be quiet". Roxas smiled and spoke more quietly this time. "Oh right, sorry. I'm just a little excited about this". Roxas, Syrus and Chumley were waiting for Jaden to get a torch. They were mostly packed for the trip, they had some snacks, a spare duel disk in case things turn out for the worse and the last thing was what Jaden was getting. After a few minutes, Jaden found the torch and came down to the gang. "You guys got everything?" Chumley double-checked his bag. "We got everything". Jaden smiled and gave a thumbs up to Chumley and then looked at Syrus.

"Do you remember where it was Sy?" Syrus gulped. "Y-yeah, I think so". Roxas smiled. "Then let's go". Syrus nodded and looked at the path we normally walk on to get to the main building of the academy. "As you are about to go left to the Academy, you just go straight on". Roxas added as he started walking. "Pretty easy". Everyone soon followed and started their small journey to their destination. Syrus and Chumley were a little scared as they were appoaching closer, but Roxas and Jaden weren't. It was getting foggy and they found something different. It was a gravestone, but it looked like it was seen by someone recently, since there was a fresh rose next to it.

"Look guys! There it is, the Abandonded Dorm!" Chumley added. "And probably lots of ghosts too!" Jaden relaxed them a bit. "Relax guys, there's no one here". Roxas looked at the Dorm with interest, he was quite calm even though he's had a history with the supernatural with King Boom Boo. Even if something like that bad happens, he knew exactly what to do. Everyone then heard a twig snap from the bushes and everyone started panicking. But then a person came out of the bushes and it was an obelisk blue girl who they knew of. Roxas and Jaden relaxed, but Syrus and Chumley were still a little shaken from the experience. "Oh, hi Alexis. What are you doing here?" Alexis replied to Jaden. "That's funny, I was about to ask you guys the same question".

Roxas then decided he would answer Alexis' question for her. "Well, we heard the stories about this place and decided to check it out". Alexis frowned. "Well that's not very wise, don't you know that people have a way of disappearing around here. If they catch you, you'll be expelled Jaden". Jaden was calm. "Yeah I know, so why are you here?" Alexis shouted out, "I have my reasons, that's why!" Jaden was taken a step back. "Woah! Okay Alexis, you don't have to snap at it". Alexis felt a little guilty for shouting at Jaden, but she explained her reason for being here. "It's just that, one of the students who was taken away... was my brother".

Roxas looked back at the rose that was left by the gravestone and realised why that was there, Alexis must have put it there. Roxas then looked at Alexis, but she was gone. 'Be safe Alexis...' Jaden called out. "Alright guys, let's go in". Jaden climbed over the 'Do Not Enter' chained gate and started to make his way inside. Roxas followed after him and soon enough Chumley and Syrus, since they all thought it was a bad idea entering the Dorm, but they decided it would be better than getting caught. As everyone was getting inside, Alexis was watching from the side, hiding in the bushes. 'I hope you know what you are doing, Jaden'. Alexis then turned around and saw a tall figure blocking her way out, she gasped and the tall figure showed a duel disk to her.

Inside the Abandonded Dorm...

"Too cool... you know, with some cleaning, a bit more paint, a couple of boxes and some beds, we can so totally move here!" Syrus was looking at Jaden like he was joking. "Are you kidding? This is even worse than the Slifer Dorms and what's all this strange stuff on the walls?" Jaden pointed the torch to the 'strange stuff' Syrus was talking about and Roxas knew what it was from the diagrams. The diagrams all had one thing in common and that was an wdjat eye, but they were in different shapes. "These must be the Millenium Items". Then the torch was shinning on something else, it looked like a fireplace, but there was a counter with a picture frame of someone. Then hanging on the wall was another picture of the same person, but bigger.

"Hey Jaden, do you know who this is?" Jaden went closer to Roxas and shown the light on the big frame picture. As the picture was shown on the light, it became clearer to see, it was a guy about Roxas' age. He had brown hair, brown eyes and he was wearing an obelisk blue uniform. Jaden answered Roxas' question. "Nope, never seen him before". Roxas wasn't replying, but he went to the counter and took the smaller picture out of the frame. "What's that you picked up Roxas?" Roxas looked at Jaden. "It's the same picture but just smaller. I thought we should keep it, since it could be a clue to finding Alexis' brother. This guy could even be Alexis' brother, who knows". Roxas gave the picture to Jaden to keep in one of his pockets.

Then suddenly, a scream echoed the whole Dorm. Everyone gasped and Jaden said out loud, "That sounds like Alexis! Let's go!" In no time at all, all four slifers ran to where they might have heard her scream. On the way, Chumley picked up a Duel Monsters card that was on the floor. Everyone had a look at the card and Roxas knew who owned that card. "This is one of Alexis' cards!" It was Cyber Tutu and Chumley pointed to the only way forward. "Well, there's only one way she would have gone". Roxas nodded and they all ran into a hallway which lead them to a large room, it was mostly stone and there was lots of smoke on the floor. But that wasn't what they were interested in, on the other side of the room was a large coffin with Alexis inside.

"Alexis!" Jaden called out her name, but she wasn't responding, then a man's voice spoke up. "She can't hear you, her mind is locked in the Shadow Realm". Roxas was curious about this man, if he mentioned the 'Shadow Realm' then it could be bad news. "Who's there?" As an answer, a man came up from the fog. He was a tall figure with a black coat, he had a silver belt on and a black hat that gangstas would wear. "Your worst nightmare come true". Jaden just replied, "Give me a break..." The man lifted his face slightly showing a light grey mask. "Then let me prove it to you... in a Shadow Game!"

Roxas gritted his teeth a little and Syrus said, "We gotta get Alexis back!" Jaden added. "Yeah, hand her over right now or you'll be sorry!" The Shadow Duelist replied, "The only thing I'll be sorry for is that I don't make a sacrifice to the shadows of the Shadow Realm". Chumley and Syrus were a little uneasy as he said this. Chumley said to himself, "He's not thinking about me, is he?" Jaden thought that this guy was kidding. "Look, I know what you are getting at, but Shadow Games don't exist". The man called back. "The others didn't believe in the Shadow Games either, but they were soon convinced, you see you don't just lose life points, you lose your soul". Roxas' brows went down slightly. "So you're the one who made those students disappear, well you not getting us, especially Alexis!" The man replied. "Let's see if you can save her before her mind is forever trapped or you will be".

Jaden really wanted to teach this guy a lesson, Chumley got the spare duel disk out of his bag and gave it to Jaden. Jaden nodded and loaded his deck into the disk. "Alright then, get your game on". The man activated his duel disk which looked like a bat wing and corrected Jaden. "Shadow Game, that is". As both duel disks glowed and both duelists drawn their five cards, they both said, "DUEL!"

Jaden - 4000

Opponent - 4000

Opponent's Turn

"Prepare yourselves as you face, the shadows". He picked up a card from his hand. "I summon Infernalqueen Archfiend in attack mode!" The monster screeched as it was summoned, it looked very fiendish.

Infernalqueen Archfiend - ATK 900 DEF 1500 LV4 Fiend / Effect - FIRE

The controller of this card pays 500 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). When this card is targeted by the effect of a card controlled by your opponent, when resolving the effect, roll a six-sided. If the result is 2 or 5, negate he effect and destroy the opponent's card. As long as this card is face-up on the field, increase the ATK of all "Archfiend" monsters by 1000 points.

Jaden looked at the monster and said his thoughts out loud. "An archfiend monster?" Roxas was looking at the monster, since he knew the term 'Archfiend' by Jack Atlas' ace card, Red Dragon Archfiend and it surprised him a little. The Shadow Duelist explained. "Yes and due to the effect of the Queen, she now gains 1000 attack points!" The archfiend monster glowed purple a little as her attack grew.

Infernalqueen Archfiend - 1900 ATK

Jaden smiled as he knew their effects well. "Yeah, I already knew that. But you have to pay life points to keep it on the field!" The man chuckled. "No I don't, especially with this in play. I play the field spell, Pandemonium!" The spell changed the scene to a more demonic look which was mostly bones and skulls as pillars, there was also a hole that looks like it could be used for rituals.

Pandemonium - Field Spell

Neither player has to pay Life Points during the Standby Phase for "Archfiend" Monsters. Each time a player's "Archfiend" monster(s) is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, except by battle, that player can add 1 "Archfiend" monster from their Deck to their hand that is a lower Level than the destroyed card.

Jaden was admired by the new scenery and the man just explained the effect of the field spell. "I know what you're thinking, your life is hanging by a thread, well... you're right". The man then pointed to the coffin as it was wrapped by the bones from the field and it dragged it further away from the Slifer gang. Roxas called out. "Hey! That's not fair!" Jaden knew he had to finish this duel fast and to save Alexis.

Jaden's Turn

"My turn!" Jaden drew his card which was Hero Signal, his hand contained Elemental Hero Avian, Emergency Provisions, Mirror Gate, Mirage of Nighmare and Mirror Force. "I summon Elemental Hero Avian and I throw down two face downs!" Avian was protecting itself with its body in defense mode.

Elemental Hero Avian - ATK 1000 DEF 1000 LV3 Warrior / Normal - WIND

Opponent's Turn

"Too bad that will be all you can do when your life points are down". The Shadow Duelist drew his card and picks a card from his hand to use. "I summon Terrorking Archfiend!" The monster was just as fiendish as the first one, but its figure was more like a king.

Terrorking Archfiend - ATK 2000 DEF 1500 LV4 Fiend / Effect - DARK

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned unless you have an Archfiend Monster Card on your side of the field. The controller of this card pays 800 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). When this card is targeted by the effect of a card controlled by your opponent, when resolving the effect, roll a six-sided die. If the result is 2 or 5, negate the effect and destroy the opponent's card. The effects of an Effect Monster that this card destroyed as a result of battle are negated.

"And now, the King gets a power boost from the Queen, making him a more stronger monster to deal with!" Indeed as the Shadow Duelist said, the Terrorking's power increased to a high number.

Terrorking Archfiend - 3000 ATK

"3000 attack points?" The Shadow Duelist replied to Jaden's remark. "That's right and now it's time to use them! Now Terrorking, attack his Avian!" Jaden declared, "Don't think so! I got a trap! Mirror Gate!"

Mirror Gate - Normal Trap

Activate only when an opponent's monster battles a face-up monster that you control. Switch control of the battling monsters, and then calculate damage. Control of those monsters switch back on the End Phase.

"This lets the monsters switch places, so those 3000 attack points are gonna be working for me!" The Shadow Duelist just smiled. "You really have no idea at what dangers you'll be facing. Now for the game of chance". From a small lava pool in the field comes out six different coloured balls, each ball has a number between one and six. "You see, my archfiend mpnsters have a second chance in battle. A number between one and six is picked at random and if two or five is picked, your trap is useless and I get to destroy your monster".

After he finished explaining, small flames covered all of the balls. Then it chose one and the flame started to travel clockwise to pick a number. After a while, the flame covered the '2' ball. "2! It seems fate has brought me to my side with Locus Storm Mirage, finish him!" The archfiend king erupted lots of locus bugs from his chest and they targeted Avian with the trap card getting destroyed too.

Jaden - 2000

"I activate Hero Signal, this lets me replace the hero that got destroyed with a new hero! And I choose Clayman in defense mode!" The familiar rock hero emerged to protect Jaden.

Hero Signal - Normal Trap

When a monster you control is destroyed by battle and ent to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Elemental Hero" monster from your hand or Deck.

Elemental Hero Clayman - ATK 800 DEF 2000 LV4 Warrior / Normal - EARTH

Roxas smiled. "Alright! Now he can't take a hit from Infernalqueen!" Jaden smiled and looked at Roxas, agreeing with what he said. But the Shadow Duelist chuckled. "Or are you?" The man grabbed an object from his pocket. It was a golden object that looked like an upside down pyramid. It then glowed brightly, so bright that no one can see what was going on. "Now the Shadow Games have truly begun!" After the glow vanished, everyone seemed to notice that there was a lot of black fog in the air. Then Syrus noticed something wrong with Jaden. "Jaden look!" Jaden looked at what Syrus was talking about since he was pointing at his arm.

From what Jaden was seeing, a part of his left arm has disappeared, but that wasn't the only thing that changed. The block fog seemed to have effected Syrus and Chumley, but strangely, Roxas wasn't effected and he thought to himself as he was questioning the fog. 'How come I'm not effected by this? It looks like Sy and Chumley can't breathe this stuff, but why not me? Is it because of the chaos energy protecting me?' Scrap King came out to Roxas' right side. "From what you told me, I guess it would protect you". Scrap King looked serious as he watched Jaden's opponent. Roxas seemed to have noticed this. 'What's wrong, Scrap King?' Scrap King pointed at the opponent. "I hear a familiar voice coming from that guy's deck".

Roxas was a little confused at what he meant, but if he could hear a voice from that deck, it could mean that a duel spirit is in trouble. 'Okay Scrap King, I'll rescue it when he loses'. Scrap King nodded and him and Roxas continued to watch the duel. The item the opponent had was still shining, but it didn't bright up like the first time. "It's your move, but make it count before it's your last". Jaden looked at his left arm. 'Wow... Millenium Items, shadow fog, who would've wished for a better challenge'.

Jaden's Turn

Jaden looked at his opponent. "Alright Jaden, get your game on. Here goes from my hand, I activate the spell, Pot of Greed! And then I use Polymerization to fuse Clayman and Sparkman to create Elemental Hero, Thunder Giant!" A yellow amoured hero with electricity at its center emerges.

Elemental Hero Thunder Giant - ATK 2400 DEF 1500 LV6 Warrior / Fusion / Effect - LIGHT

"Elemental Hero Sparkman" + "Elemental Hero Clayman"

When this card is Fusion Summoned, select and destroy 1 face-up monster on the field with original ATK less than the ATK of this card.

"Now I activate Thunder Giant's superpower! When he's summoned I get to destroy one monster that has less attack points than his own! So go, Thunder Giant and take down Terrorking!" Sparks were coming out of Thunder Giant's chest and were aiming at Terrorking, but the six numbers from before were on fire again. "Time for the game of chance once again". Like before, the flames were on the numbered balls and were travelling clockwise. "It just can't land on a two or a five again!" Syrus called out. The flame stopped at five and the Shadow Duelist chuckled. "I win again! It seems that fate really is on my side and your side is soon going to be fallen to the shadows!"

After he said this, Thunder Giant was destroyed and it left Jaden wide open. Roxas called out. "This is totally unfair!" The Shadow Duelist chuckled. "When my archfiends attack, you'll be next!" Jaden slipped a card into the duel disk. "This isn't over yet, I still got a few moves..." A card was shown to the field, a spell to be exact. "...like this one! Mirage of Nightmare!"

Mirage of Nightmare - Continuous Spell

Once per turn, during your opponent's Standby Phase: Draw cards until you have 4 cards in your hand. If you do, during your next Standby Phase after that: Randomly discard the same number of cards you drew (or your entire hand, if you do not have enough cards).

"This lets me draw until I have four cards in my hand! Then I throw down two face downs!"

Opponent's Turn

"Too bad that those cards won't be able to help you. Go! Locus Storm Mirage!" Terrorking opened up his chest to let out many insects to Jaden, but he had something planned. "I activate Mirror Force! Say goodbye to all of your monsters!" Roxas smiled. "Yes! Mirror Force is one of the best traps in the game! This has to work..." The insects got reflected and attacked both archfiends, destroying them. As the dust cleared, it was clear the Shadow Duelist was angry. "How dare you!"

Jaden scratched his head. "How? I dunno, daring I guess". The Shadow Duelist replied back. "It matters not, because I activate Desrook Archfiend's ability to discard this in order to bring back Terrorking Archfiend back to the field. Rise Terrorking!" In a small cloud of smoke, the Terrorking that was just destroyed was now back on the field with its own power.

"Him again?" The Shadow Duelist added to what Jaden said. "Indeed, but I now activate the effect of the field spell, Pandemonium to add an archfiend monster to my hand!" A card came out from the Shadow Duelist's deck and he added it to his hand. "Of course I could use him, but all I need is Terrorking. Now let's try this again! Locus Storm Mirage!" Once again, the insects came out from his chest, but the last face down Jaden had opened up. "Go Emergency Provisions!"

Emergency Provisions - Quick-Play Spell

Send any number of other Spell or Trap Cards you control to the Graveyard. Gain 1000 Life Points for each card sent.

"This lets me gain life points for each card, a thousand of them!" Jaden sacrificed Mirage of Nightmare and gained a few more life points. Jaden braced for the upcoming attack by shielding his arms, but he still lost a lot of life points.

Jaden - 1000

"Had enough?" Jaden was about to fall over but recovered. "As long as I got two working legs..." The man knew Jaden wasn't giving up, so he picked the golden object from his pocket. "But it won't be the same for your arms!" The object glowed bright and once the glow died down, a part of Jaden's right arm was missing. The rest of the Slifer Gang were getting worried. "Oh man, Jaden's fading really fast". Jaden cringed. 'Talk about hanging on to one limb...' Jaden drawn his next card from his deck and started his turn.

Jaden's Turn

"Better make this turn count, I play The Warrior Returning Alive to add Avian to my hand! Now I fuse both Avian and Bustinatrix to create the Elemental Hero, Flame Wingman!"

Elemental Hero Flame Wingman - ATK 2100 DEF 1200 LV6 Warrior / Fusion / Effect - WIND

"Elemental Hero Avian" + "Elemental Hero Burstinatrix"

This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster.

"Now Flame Wingman, attack Terrorking with Skydive Scorcher!" Wingman flew up as high as he can and then dived at fast speed towards Terrorking, covering him in flames. "Oh and did I forget to mention his ability? Your monster isn't the one taking damage, you will too! You take damage equal to its attack!" The life points dropped about half way, making it an almost even score. But as the life points went down, body parts of the Shadow Duelist began disappearing too.

Opponent - 1900

The Shadow Duelist wasn't fazed much from this vanishing act. "It matters not, because I can discard another Desrook to bring back Terrorking. There's no stopping him, rise again Terrorking!" Once again, the archfiend monster appeared to the field and Jaden reacted to this. "This guy is really overstaying his welcome, I guess I'll summon Dark Catapulter in defense mode, so come on then and do your worst!".

Dark Catapulter - ATK 1000 DEF 1500 LV4 Machine / Effect - EARTH

During your Standby Phase, if this card is in Defense Position, put 1 counter on this card. You can remove from play a number of card(s) in your Graveyard equal to the number of counters on this card to destroy that many Spell orTrap Card(s) on the field. Then remove all counter(s) from this card.

Opponent's Turn

The Shadow Duelist drew his card. "You want my worst? I'll show you, I sacrifice my Terrorking to summon forth, the Skull Archfiend of Lighting!" A taller, more demonic being came out in many sparks of electricity.

Skull Archfiend of Lightning - ATK 2500 DEF 1200 LV6 Fiend / Effect - DARK

During each of your Standby Phases, you must pay 500 Life Points (this is not optional), or this card is destroyed. Before resolving an opponent's card effect that targets this card, roll a six-sided die, negate the effect if you roll 1, 3 or 6, and if you do, destroy that card.

"You wanted my worst? Well there you have it! Every super charged bolt!" It then attacked Flame Wingman with lots of electricity and got destroyed, taking some of Jaden's life points with him.

Jaden - 600

From what Jaden's friends were seeing, it looked like Jaden couldn't hold on any longer. "Jaden! Hold on!" But Jaden just clenched his teeth. 'I gotta hang on... for Alexis...' But the Shadow Duelist looked at Jaden, seeing his right opportunity to use the object again. The item glowed again. "Look into my Millenium Item and let it imprison you, soon you will be nothing but a hollow shell, feel yourself drifting, drifting!" As it contintinued to shine, Jaden was on his knees panting and his vision started to blur. Jaden tried to look at his opponent, but his mind was beginning to drift away as he looked at the ground.

As this happened, Roxas and Scrap King watched carefully on the object. It seemed Scrap King had something to say. "Wait... something is fishy here. That object the man is holding doesn't look the same as the other ones, the eye is different". Roxas squinted at the object to see if Scrap King was right, he looked carefully throught the light and he noticed that instead of the Wdjat eye they have on each of the items, there is a different eye. 'You're right Scrap! That means... the man is using hypnosis against him! Scrap, can you enter Jaden's mind and tell what we found out?' Scrap King nodded. "I'll try. It won't be easy though..."

Scrap King closed his eyes and concentrated on Jaden. To Roxas' point of view, Scrap King disappeared and it looked like he succeeded on getting inside. He then saw a small white glow coming from Jaden's deck and he guessed it was Winged Kuriboh having the same message. 'Good luck buddy and you too Winged Kuriboh...'

In Jaden's mind, he was still in the same position as he is in the duel, but everywhere around him was dark and cloudy. "Is this what death feels like? What's going to happen to me now?" Jaden was about to lose hope, but he then heard a voice. "Jaden! Can you hear me?" Jaden lifted his head slightly due to the amount of pressure on his body, he then saw a small light blue orb that had brighten the room a bit. It was warming him as he was near it, but he was confused as to who was answering. "Who's there?" The orb introduced itself. "I'm Elemental Hero Mobian, Scrap King".

Jaden eyes' widened by this. "Wait... you're Scrap King? One of Roxas' cards?" The orb replied back to him. "Yes Jaden, but I don't have a lot of time to talk in here, so I can't chat for too long. Listen carefully Jaden, the man who has that Item is tricking you, he's hypnotising you..." The orb started to fade away its colour and it was about to disappear out of the room. "Wait! Tell me more!" But it was too late, the orb faded to nothing before Jaden could get a response to it. "What did he mean by hypnotising?" With this thought in his mind, Jaden heard a noise that he heard before. A small but bright yellow orb was hovering all around Jaden, making the noises Jaden knew of.

"Is that you, Winged Kuriboh? What is it pal? You trying to tell me something?" The bright orb which Jaden knew was Winged Kuriboh then went a bit fast in front of Jaden as he was showing his opponent. "Woah, stay still will ya, with that bright light you gonna hypnotise me quicker than you can help me". Jaden then gasped and realised what Winged Kuriboh was doing, the dark clouds were clearing and back with the duel, Jaden opened his eyes and thought about what he found out. 'Wait, that's what Scrap King and Winged Kuriboh were telling me, we're not playing in the shadows, he's playing with my mind!' Jaden then slowly got up and was standing back on his own two legs.

Roxas then saw Scrap King reappear, but he looked exhausted. 'Scrap? Are you alright?' Scrap King continued to pant, but he answered clearly, "I did it, I gave him the message, but I couldn't hold in there any longer". Roxas smiled. 'That's okay, you did awesome Scrap. You can rest back in the deck, I'll take care of things if anything goes wrong now'. Scrap King smiled and de-materialised back into the deck, Roxas looked down at his deck and added in his mind. 'Scrap, don't worry, I'll take care of everything else'.

As Jaden got up, he spoke. "Well no more, I got this 'Shadow Game' scam figured out". Syrus and Chumley were confused. "Did he just say 'Shadow Game' scam?" Syrus added, "What does he mean?" Jaden smiled. "It means, my soul is not on the dinner plate anymore. Let's keep going! My turn!" Jaden drew his next card and his opponent said in his mind, 'What's going on? Why isn't he scared anymore?'

Jaden's Turn

A small light appeared on Dark Catapulter's head and Jaden announced, "First I'm gonna activate Dark Catapulter's special ability! It allows me to remove a monster from my graveyard, then for every card I sent, I get to destroy a card on the field". The Shadow Duelist asked, "Are you going to destroy my Archfiend so that I can activate its effect again?" As Jaden's opponent said this, the six balls appeared beside him, but they didn't go on fire since that wasn't Jaden's target. "Sorry, but that wasn't the one I'm getting, I'm destroying your field spell with Storm Soar Blast!" A beam of yellow light struck the opponent's duel disk and the surrounding area was back to its original stone walls.

"So what? You still haven't got rid of this!" The man showed the object once again, but it didn't faze anyone and Jaden smiled. "You better be careful what you wish for, you might just get it!" Jaden grabbed the card he removed from play due to Dark Catapulter's effect, which was Avian and threw it at the center of the object. It struck the eye part and went right through like it was paper. "What did you do?" Jaden's disappeared body parts were shown again. "Alright Jaden, you got your body back!"

Jaden looked at Syrus and Chumley. "I never lost it, this whole thing was just a big fake!" Both Syrus and Chumley were still confused as Jaden continued, "It was all just hypnosis to make me think I was losing my soul. This guy is a complete sham, he's probably some out-of-work carnie!" The Shadow Duelist took a step back. "I'm not out of work, I could get my job at the fairground anytime that I want!" Jaden commented on that statement. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure you could and that fake puzzle would work very well with the kiddies".

The man looked down at his object and couldn't believe at what Jaden was saying. "Be quiet! It's real, I'm real!" Jaden had caught him. "You're just a sideshow freak". But the Shadow Duelist had a second plan. "Idiots, did you forget? The girl, imprisoned by the shadows, her mind is locked in the Shadow Realm. That proves that this Millenium Pendant is real! What do you have to say to that?" Jaden snickered a bit. "Besides that you're a big dunce? You see all of the diagrams of the Millenium Items were on the walls and yours would be called 'Puzzle' not 'Pendant', you never had Alexis' soul, you never did! So hand her over and all of the other kids you snatched!"

The Shadow Duelist looked a little confused, but he was now caught. "Other kids? I don't know what you're talking about and because of your early carnie comments, you can find your friend by yourself!" The Shadow Duelist then thrown down a small smoke bomb just enough to make an escape. "No way! You not getting away from me that easily!" Jaden started running towards him, but what he didn't see was that the pillars around the room were lighting up one by one. Roxas looked at them worried. 'This isn't good, I better start with my plan'. Roxas took a few steps back and looked at Syrus and Chumley to make sure that they weren't looking at him. Once he knew the coast was clear, he hid in the hallway they entered. 'Now to help Jaden out, but not as me...' Roxas' body glowed white and his body became smaller, when the light finished transforming him, the white glow disappeared and a new creature replaced the human.

The creature who Roxas turned into wasn't human, it looked like some kind of humanoid bird. The humanoid bird was light blue in colour and it had five long feathers that curved from the back of its head with the ends of the long feathers having a blue pattern. The eyes were coloured the same as Roxas', a light blue and on the side of its eyes, were marine blue followed by the same blue colour as the long feather pattern. The humanoid bird had a patch of white on its chest just below the neck and the bird was wearing nothing but the gloves and shoes Roxas was wearing.

'But as Aero!' The creature known as Aero summoned a sword from his right hand, it looked like some sort of weapon or key. The handle had a frame shaped like a tombstone and in the middle of the frame was a spongy textured handle, connecting the top and bottom of the frame that was coloured orange and mostly white. There was a small green gem on the top of the handle and on the corners of the frame were small curved points that looked like it was used for decorations. The blade was blue near the handle, but it was gradually becoming red at the end and there were also rings attached to the blade. At the end of the blade was a swirl, but it has curved spikes on the outside of the swirl. Aero looked back at the room and noticed something glowing, he kept hidden in the hallway and heard what was going on.

When Jaden was catching up to the Shadow Duelist, a glowing wdjat eye appeared in the room. Jaden looked around. "How did you do this trick?" The Shadow Duelist was unsure. "I-I didn't". Then the glow was fading a little as the wind picked up and both duelists were swallowed by the winds. Knowing that this was the best time, Aero jumped into the room, surprising Syrus and Chumley. There were answering questions, but Aero ignored them and went into the winds with Jaden and his opponent. After Aero jumped in, a dark purple orb that was covered with electricity appeared and all Syrus and Chumley can do was call out Jaden's name.

Jaden looked awed at the new scenery, as he was confused as to what had happened. All he remembered was a glowing eye and some strange winds swarming both him and his opponent. But he soon wasn't alone. A gap appeared to Jaden's left as it glowed a white yellowy colour and a creature came out of it. It looked hurt as it came in, since its fur was a little singed and Jaden decided to help it. "Woah! Are you okay?" The creature was getting up and it said, "Never better". The creature stood upright and Jaden looked at him curiously.

"You can talk?" The creature smiled. "Yep and I'm here to help". Jaden smiled. "Sweet! Do you mind telling me what's going on?" The creature looked at the Shadow Duelist. "I don't know. Maybe he has something to do with this!" The Shadow Duelist looked at the creature and answered, "What do you mean? I can't do something like this!" Aero and Jaden then looked to the side to see small dark shadows getting closer to the two duelists. The Shadow Duelist was swarmed with them and he was pleading to save him, but the shadow creatures were about to possess him. Aero and Jaden watched this scene unfold, but they heard the sound of the shadow creatures below them.

Aero was about to slay them with his sword, but a sound was heard and it was coming from Jaden's deck. Jaden curiously looked at the deck and him and Aero saw brown fur coming out, followed by a small pair of angel wings. The brown creature popped out and it stared at Jaden, it was Winged Kuriboh all flesh and bone. Aero smiled, but Jaden said to himself. "Now that's weird, first I hear you then I see you... what in the world is going on here?" Winged Kuriboh started to fly and it went in front of Jaden, scaring away the shadow creatures. "Well aren't you adorable!" Aero crouched down to Winged Kuriboh's level and started to stroke its fur, it looked really happy.

"You can see him too?" Jaden asked as Aero was standing back up. "Yeah, not sure why though..." Aero smiled, but it soon disappeared as he heard a voice coming from the Shadow Duelist's deck. "Sorry to spoil this chat, but there's a duel spirit in that guy's deck that I gotta save. Do you mind taking him down and finishing this duel?" Aero looked at Jaden, hoping for a positive answer. Jaden gave a thumbs up. "Sure, no prob!" Aero looked at the Shadow Duelist and noticed a change in him, his eyes started to glow red. "Jaden Yuki, the shadows need a soul, only one may survive".

Jaden shook his head. "Aw c'mon red contacts? You really went overboard with this, haven't you?" The Shadow Duelist didn't reply to the remark. "This duel will now continue in the Shadow Realm". As he said, the cards that were used in the duel appeared as they were. "So you're sticking to the 'Shadow Realm' thing? Fine at least it's still my turn! I play the spell card, Monster Reincarnation!

Monster Reincarnation - Normal Spell

Discard 1 card, then target 1 monster in your Graveyard; add it to your hand.

"And that let's me get a monster from my graveyard to my hand and now I summon Sparkman, you remember him, don't ya?" The new monster known as Sparkman was kneeling in defense position.

Elemental Hero Sparkman - ATK 1600 DEF 1400 LV4 - Warrior / Normal - LIGHT

Opponent's Turn

The Shadow Duelist didn't make a remark. "It's my turn". Jaden realised something, "Don't forget, without your Pandemonium card, you now have to pay life points to keep your archfiend monsters on the field!" A shadow streak came out of the Shadow Duelist as his life points went down.

Opponent - 1400

"500 life points is nothing compared to a soul, now Skull Archfiend, attack!" The archfiend monster shot out lots of electricity onto Dark Catapulter. "I set one card face-down and summon the Desrook Archfiend in attack mode". A pawn-like fiend monster appeared beside Skull Archfiend, the Shadow Duelist was waiting for Jaden to begin his turn.

Desrook Archfiend - ATK 1100 DEF 1800 LV3 Fiend / Effect - LIGHT

The controller of this card pays 500 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). When this card is targeted by the effect of a card controlled by your opponent, when resolving the effect, roll a six-sided die. If the result is 3, negate the effect and destroy the opponent's card. When a "Terrorking Archfiend" on your side of the field is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon the "Terrorking Archfiend".

Jaden's Turn

Winged Kuriboh looked a little scared as he made a noise to Jaden. Jaden smiled. "Don't worry Kuriboh, I totally got this". Jaden drew his next card and announced his turn, he thought about what to do next. 'Alright, they say the best defense is a good offense, but this is good way to do just that'. "Sparkman, switch to attack mode! Then I equip him with this, Spark Blaster!" A small handgun was equipped to Sparkman's right hand.

Spark Blaster - Equip Spell

Equip to only "Elemental Hero Sparkman". During your Main Phase: You can target 1 face-up monster; change the battle position of that target. After you use this effect 3 times, destroy this card.

"Now with this, I can change the battle position of any monster and I think I know the right monster to choose". Sparkman pointed his blaster at Skull Archfiend. "So be it. Change the position of Skull Archfiend, see if I care". Jaden smiled. "Well first, I'm attacking your Desrook Archfiend with Static Shockwave!" Sparkman used his power of electricity to destroy the archfiend monster.

Opponent - 900

Sparkman then prepared his blaster as Jaden added, "Now I'm gonna use the blaster on Sparkman himself, from offense to defense!" Sparkman changed positions and the Shadow Duelist looked a little confused. "Coward. First you attack my Desrook, then you put your monster in defense mode. But it won't matter now as I activate the trap card, Battle-Scarred. With this, the 500 life point cost will not only effect me, but you as well as long as an archfiend monster is on the field".

Battle-Scarred - Continuous Trap

Select 1 Archfiend monster on your side of the field to activate this card. Your opponent also pays the same Life Points that you pay for the selected monster during the Standby Phase. If this card is removed from the field, destroy the selected monster. When the selected monster is removed from the field, destroy this card.

Opponent - 400

Jaden - 100

Opponent's Turn

Jaden cringed at the loss of life points due to the effect of the Battle-Scarred. "This is bad, I'm not even going to last another turn". The shadow creatures were getting closer to Jaden and Aero. Aero was about to slay the creatures, but it seemed that Winged Kuriboh was protecting both of them. Kuriboh made a noise as it was worried about Jaden, but Jaden cheered it up. "Don't worry bud, it's all good. We still have Sparkman". The Shadow Duelist grinned. "Not for long, Skull Archfiend attack Sparkman!" Jaden covered himself from the blast and they both looked at what happened on the opponent's field.

"I set a card down and activate the spell, Double Spell".

Double Spell - Normal Spell

Discard 1 Spell Card, then target 1 Spell Card in your opponent's Graveyard; as this card's effect resolution, follow the target's card text as if you had used it yourself.

"Now I discard a card to make this effect the same as your Emergency Provisions. Now I sacrifice a card to gain a thousand life points". The original Double Spell changed to Emergency Provisions and the effect gained more life points to the Shadow Duelist.

Opponent - 1400

"Your fate is sealed, your life points are only one hit away and your soul will belong to the shadows". Aero looked at the Shadow Duelist seriously. "Yeah right! Jaden is going to take you down!" Jaden smiled and he drew his card.

Jaden's Turn

Jaden drew Elemental Hero Bubbleman, Jaden grinned at the only card in his hand. "Since it's the only card in my hand, I special summon Elemental Hero Bubbleman!" A aqua blue coloured hero appeared to Jaden's side in attack mode, it had a small gun strapped to its left arm and it had a metal case on its back.

Elemental Hero Bubbleman - ATK 800 DEF 1200 LV4 Warrior / Effect - WATER

If this is the only card in your hand, you can Special Summon it. When this card is Summoned, if you control no other cards, you can draw 2 cards.

"I know what you thinking, looks weak right? Well check this out! If he's the only one on the field, I get to draw two new cards!" Jaden drew two new cards. "And what do you know? I drew his favourite, Bubble Shuffle! Actually it's more of a two way, with this I can switch Bubbleman to defense mode and also switch one of your monsters, then I can special summon a hero!"

Bubble Shuffle - Quick-Play Spell

Target 1 face-up Attack Position "Elemental Hero Bubbleman" you control and 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; change both those targets to Defense Position, then Tribute that 1 "Elemental Hero Bubbleman", then Special Summon 1 "Elemental Hero" monster from your hand.

"If Skull Archfiend's result is two, four or five, your card activates. But if the result is one, three or six, your card is destroyed and my archfiend lives to fight another day". The six balls from before appeared again and were in flames, the flames travelled clockwise and Jaden was watching them. "I've had bad luck with this thing". Aero looked at Jaden. 'Please let it go through...' The flames then stopped at two, the Shadow Duelist was shocked as Bubbleman and the archfiend monster were in defense mode. "Alright I won! Now it's time to show you a new hero! Elemental Hero Bladedge!"

Elemental Hero Bladedge - ATK 2600 DEF 1800 LV7 Warrior / Effect - EARTH

If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent.

"Wow". Aero's eyes looked admired at the new hero, Jaden smiled. "I know what you thinking? Looks pretty sharp right? Well he does! When he takes down a monster, the difference in damage is dealt to you! Bladedge! Show them how you got your name!" Bladegde readied his arms as he sliced Skull Archfiend with his blade and took down Skull Archfiend.

Opponent - 0

"Noooo!" The Shadow Duelist shouted out. Aero reacted to this and headed for the opponent's deck, as he heard the voice getting louder. Aero found the card he wanted before the shadows were getting him. The Shadow Duelist looked down as the shadows that were possessing him left his body. His eyes stopped glowing red and the other shadows in the room were aiming for him. They crowded the Shadow Duelist and all that Jaden and Aero could see was the man's head and his right hand. The Shadow Duelist tried to talk, but his voice was smothed and soon he was consumed, never to be seen again.

Aero looked at the card he grabbed. 'Gotcha'. He smiled, but then looked around the room trying to find an exit. Jaden said something to his fairy companion. "Woah, talk about some special effects. So realistic!" Aero pointed to a small bright crack. "I guess that's the way out". Jaden looked at what Aero was pointing at and he heard Winged Kuriboh respond to what Aero said. "A way out? Well good enough for me..." Jaden looked at Aero and corrected himself. "...I mean us. Anyway, let's make tracks!" Jaden started to run towards the bright crack and Aero was catching up to him, Aero smiled. "Let's meet again, Jaden!"

Jaden was about to respond to Aero, but Aero sped up his running and left the room first. "Hey wait! Who are you?" Jaden looked confused. 'Who was that guy? He didn't even mention his name...' The shadows were catching up to him, but both Jaden and Winged Kuriboh made it out of the orb and Syrus and Chumley saw him. "Jaden, are you okay?" Jaden noticed Syrus and almost forgot about him and Chumley. "Never better guys". Chumley added, "What happened in there?"

Jaden could have answered Chumley's question, but the orb behind them sparked a bit more and it slowly shunk into nothing. The coffin Alexis was in was about to be sucked in, but Jaden held onto it and everyone ducked and held onto something. The orb shrunk so much that it made a small explosion that looked a bit like a firework or a party popper. "Awesome! I wonder what he does for an encore?" Syrus was a little confused. "You didn't think that was the real Shadow Realm do you?" Jaden looked at Syrus and Chumley. "Nope, it was all smoke and mirrors like I said. Although I do wonder how he did all of that".

Jaden was scratching the back of his head as he wondered about that experience. But something else popped into his head. "Hey, I saw this really cool guy helping me out!" Jaden realised something as he looked around the room. "Wait... where is Roxas?" The three Slifers looked around and indeed, they have noticed that Roxas was missing. Syrus suggested, "Maybe he was looking for help, but at this time he might have gone back to the Red Dorm". Syrus was checking his PDA soon after and it showed 12:15am. They all looked at it, shocked because of how late it was. Chumley looked at Alexis. "We better get Alexis outta here".

10 Minutes Later Outside the Abandoned Dorm...

Alexis was lying on the ground, she had opened her eyes slowly and she saw Jaden looking at her. "Well, morning sleepy beauty" Alexis looked around her. "Where am I?" Jaden smiled. "Well we had to chase the bad guy and save the damsel in distress". Alexis realised what Jaden meant. "That's right, that stranger kidnapped me". Jaden then grabbed some things from his pocket and gave them to Alexis, "Here, we found this". Jaden handed her Cyber Tutu card and added, "And we found this". Jaden then handed a folded picture to her, she unfolded it and she gasped at what she saw.

"M-my brother? Wow, this is the first picture of him I've seen before he disappeared". Jaden replied, "That's right, we want to help you find your brother too". Jaden stood up and checked his PDA. "Woah! We gotta go, see ya!". Jaden started to run back to the Dorm, Syrus and Chumley started to catch up to Jaden and were making their way back to the Dorm. Alexis looked at the picture of her brother. 'Thank you Jaden, I may now be one step closer to finding my brother...'

In the Red Dorm room, Aero came into the room and made sure that no one was coming in. He sighed in relief and then glowed white as his form became taller, the white glow disappeared as his mobian form changed to human form. The sword that he was holding disappeared in a small shimmer of light, he sighed again and opened the door to see if Jaden and his friends came back. After a minute of looking, he couldn't see anyone so he closed the door and placed the card face-down. He grabbed a piece of paper and added in his mind, 'Time to have a little fun...' Roxas started to write a little note for the card he found and once he finished, he left it on top of the card.

After about five minutes, the door opened up and Jaden, Syrus and Chumley came in. Roxas looked very surprised. "Jaden! You okay! How did it go against that guy?" Jaden smiled. "I took him down, but where were you?" Roxas was a little uneasy, like he was hiding something. "I was trying to find help but realised we were somewhere that was forbidden. Oops". Jaden nodded, but found something on the desk. It was a duel monsters card, but face-down and it had a small folded note on top. Jaden went closer to it and picked up the note. "What's this? It's a note". Jaden opened it and read what was written.

Roxas,

I am someone you might know, but I won't mention my name just in case Jaden is the one reading this. I have found this card from someone that was facing Jaden not long ago. From looking at it, it looked like something you would use in your deck so take good care of it.

Jaden, if you are reading this, I look forward to meeting you face to face. I will be around nighttimes and I think Winged Kuriboh will guide you to me.

Jaden looked at the note, then at Roxas and asked, "That reminds me, do you know a blue creature that holds a sword?" Roxas was thinking about it, he knew who Jaden was talking about since this guy IS him, but he tried to keep a low profile. "No, don't think so. What's the card the guy mentioned?" Roxas went towards the card and looked at the front design, it was a monster card but specifically a mobian monster. From its features, Roxas can tell it was a echidna, but unlike a certain enhidna in his deck, its fur is mostly coloured light grey. It is wearing white fingerless gloves with a grey edge and a grey pad on the top of its hands. The tips of its dreadlocks are blond but they are fading its colours as it went up, it has long grey boots and its eyes are purple. On its chest it has a symbol that looks like a pair of wings and as a weapon, the Mobian is carrying a hammer which has a square body with two faces, its coloured grey and purple.

Roxas read the name of the card. "Elemental Hero Mobian, Gleam Thief..." Roxas looked at Jaden. "Well, would you look at that? A new mobian hero!" Roxas then yawned. "But let's talk more tomorrow, we need the sleep". The three slifers nodded with Jaden saying, "With you on that". It took a couple of minutes of changing and getting ready for sleep, but everyone was asleep except for Jaden who had something in his mind. 'Whoever this guy is that gave Roxas that card... I just gotta meet him!' With that excitement in his mind, Jaden then settled to sleep.

There you have it! Aero the Hawk has made an appearance! If you don't know who he is (even though Roxas is him) look at the story, Knight of the Wind (Re-Done). It's his mobian side when he got his powers, now please review and fav this, it really helps and I really enjoyed to write this chapter even though it took me a couple of days to do.
