It was one of those lying down chairs like in a… hospital… Shit. This isn't good. Someone freed my arms but before I could do anything they strapped them down with thick leather straps that would be hard to break, even by a nation. They did the same with my legs before also strapping down my torso and my neck. I tried to move, even just an inch but it was impossible. The only thing I could move was my fingers and my head.
Lot of use my head is though… I can't see nor talk. What are they…?
What?
…
What?
These guys are idiots! I silently was laughing. I could hear Romano trying not to laugh too. They gagged me! I can't speak! I guess they are not as smart as they think they are. I smiled behind the gag.
"¿Avete intenzione di collaborare, piccolo Romano?" (Are you going to cooperate, little Romano?)
"¡Morirete all'inferno, voi figli di una capra senza madre!" (Die in hell, you children of a motherless goat!)
Apparently that's not what they wanted to hear, because one of them growled before replying, "Fine, you have determined your friend's fate." What did that mean?
My thoughts were cut short, however, by slight pain in my left bicep. It felt like a needle. What could they possibly be putting into me?
My question was answered right after I thought that, "This serum is a special kind. It's forbidden in forty-seven countries, so of course we had to have it. It awakens every single cell in your body and when they are all awake, it introduces a virus, called androlium, which kills every single cell in your body, saving the senses last so you can feel the pain of every cell as it withers away to nothing. We haven't been able to test it on a Nation, but now, Romano, you have given us the perfect victim. You know what the best part is? We don't have to worry about a thing if he dies. He's not a real nation anymore, so no one will care if he's gone."
I opened my eyes in shock, that didn't sound good. I turned and glared at the man whom looked like the head of this group. It was kind of obvious, since he was the only one in a suit. Wait a second… How do I know he's in a suit?
Oh, shit.
I can see. I can see the white room and the weapons on the wall. I can see Romano and the mafia. I smiled behind the gag.
Then the pain started. I could feel it burning in my left arm. I had to grit my teeth and clench my eyes closed from the pain. It was burning, hotter and hotter. The muscles in my bicep started spazzing out. The cells in my muscle were dying and the pain was exscuciating. I struggled against the straps and to my surprise, they broke.
I opened my eyes and ignored the pain in my arm. The Mafia must have notice because they came to restrain me. I punch the closest guy in the face, while simultaneously grabbing his gun. I knocked the next guy out with said gun while breaking the rest of straps off. The next mafia agent stayed near Romano and pointed his gun at me. He fired and I felt like time slowed down. I saw that the bullet was aimed at my heart. I moved to the side and forward before it hit me and it crashed into the wall behind me. He fired two more times, one aimed for my heart and one for my head. I moved again and now I was right beside him and I grabbed his gun before knocking him out.
Time seemed to fix itself then. I shot the ropes around Romano's legs and arms before handing him the gun. I turned to face the final person, the head honcho. He had his gun in his hand but kept looking at the door, which he was only three feet away from.
"Don't move." He slowly moved despite the two guns pointed at him. I reached over to the wall and grabbed two knives. Right before the Godfather could open the door, I threw them and one slipped barely past his face and the other knocked his gun out of his hand. "I told you not to move."
The Godfather fell to his knees and started to beg, "Por favore, signore! Por favore don't kill me! I have family in Prussia! We're family!"
I raised my eyebrow at him and Romano replied to him, "Prussia has been dissolved, idiota. Now, you are going to answer our questions and if you answer them truthfully, we might let you go. If not," he cocked his handgun, "I don't think I need to explain. Understand?"
The head nodded.
"How long does the virus take to kill a normal person?"
"Three hours."
"Where is the vaccine?"
The Godfather opened his mouth to answer but before he could, there was an explosion. I saw it before anyone else did and tackled Romano to the ground, right before it had exploded. We survived with no injuries, but, we saw when we stood back up, the Godfather was not so lucky. The explosion happened too close to him and the wall had fallen on him.
"Shit." That's exactly how I felt and guess who came through the wall that had just fallen? Why, of course, it was some of the nations. Germany, Italy, Spain and Japan came through the hole in the wall.
"What the fuck was that for? You killed our damn prisoner! Now, we have maybe three hours to find the vaccine!" Romano stomped out of the room.
"What vaccine?" I rolled my eyes and followed Romano. I found out during the interrogation that even though I can see, I still can't talk. I found Romano sitting on the ground with his head in his arm just outside the room. I tapped him with my foot.
"Go away." I heard him mumble at me. I tapped him again, this time with a little more force, "Leave me the fuck alone!" This time, I practically kicked him over, "I said, leave me al…" I grabbed the arm that was supposed to hit me and pulled him up. His eyes still refused to meet mine. "Bastard." I smiled and forced him to look up.
'You can't see what I am trying to tell you, if you look at your feet.' He glared at me, but didn't look away, 'Yes, the bastard is dead, yes, the nations probably killed the rest, but we have about three hours. The vaccine has to be here somewhere.'
"Okay, then, we have to get the fucking Nations together to search the whole damn place. We have to find that damn vaccine." He turned with a determined set to his jaw, "Potato, get the Nations together, we have a new mission."
Germany nodded and left to get the rest. Italy quickly followed him and so did Japan, but Spain stayed with us, "What is the vaccine for, Roma?"
"I'll explain in a bit so hold your shit together. Prussia, what did he call the drug?"
'Androlium' Now that I thought it, the pain came back in a ten-fold. I gritted my teeth. It had spread to my entire upper left arm and which is bad, because I am left-handed. I had to switch the gun to my right hand, which is less accurate of a shot.
Romano glanced at me worriedly, "Can you make it?"
'I'm good.' He pursed his lips, knowing fully well that I was lying, but nodded anyway. We climbed over the rubble and met some of the nations on the other side. They were all talking with each other, excited about a new mission and talking about how well they did against the Mafia.
It still struck me as odd, after all these years dealing with these people, that Nations could talk so easily about killing people. Sure, I would brag about my victories, but I was never proud of a life being taken. I knew how much it hurt to lose some of my men, so I knew it would hurt others as well. That's why I had only knocked out the Mafia people. Even though they were probably as evil as hell, they were still Romano's people and it would still hurt him if they died.
When all of the nations got there, Romano jumped onto the highest rock, almost would have fallen if I hadn't seen the angle of which he was jumping and kept him stable. He nodded his thanks, before whistling really loudly to get the nations' attentions.
"Good job everyone, but we have a new fucking mission. We need to find the damn vaccine for a drug called Androlium. It's a slow acting drug that will wake up every cell in your body before killing all of them, leaving the nerves and internal organs for last so that you can feel every single cell slowly die." I saw some of the nations flinch. Yeah, it didn't sound to welcoming, it didn't feel good either, "Potato Bastard, you have a lay out of the damn building, correct?" He nodded and handed the paper to Romano, who quickly looked over it before speaking, "We need thirteen groups, four for each level and one for the basement. The basement isn't very large. Search for medicine cabinets, storage rooms, notes or books on Androlium, anything you can find that may help and bring the shit here. Split up into groups that you can work with, but not necessarily with nations you like. We have about three and a half hours to find it. Let's do this shit."
There were fifty-six nations including me, so each group had about four or five. My group consisted of Romano, Spain, France and I. Veneciano, Germany and Japan went with China and Russia. Our group was the lucky one that got the basement.
Yay…
The basement was creepy, even with the lights on. There were more rooms than there were on the blueprints. Each one had a bed and a desk and one swinging light. It looked like one of those haunted houses were anything could happen. I kept my finger on the trigger at all times and would jump whenever I saw something move.
No one teased me about it, because they were doing the same thing too. No matter how many times I jumped, I still couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. We checked every room in the basement and we didn't see anything until the last door.
It looked like an experimentation room. On one side of the room there were bones that were still chained to the walls, barely held together. The other had a medical table that reeked of blood with straps to hold the victims down. There were chemicals and instruments all along the far wall. I don't like this room. Based on the expressions on my friends' faces, they didn't either. We just stood there unsure if we should enter. We all glanced at each other wondering who was going to enter first.
I took a deep breath and gathered up all the courage I had before taking a step into the room. Romano was right behind me, while France and Spain stayed in the hallway to keep watch.
The longer I was in the room the more I wanted to get out. The room had an evil and forbidding presence to it, but I also had a feeling that if the vaccine was anywhere, it would be in this room.
I turned out to be right. The first cabinet I opened had labels on every shelf. On the first row, second bottle to the right was a label that said "Androlium Vaccine." Well, that was easy. I reached up and grabbed the bottle. It was a weird green color. It, in all honesty, looked evil. It was an acid green and if it weren't for the possibility of me dying a more painful death, I wouldn't have taken the poison looking potion.
Mwahahahahaha! Yes, I am going to be evil and do this. Mainly because I just now wrote that part…
So, I have gotten this far and I know pretty much what I am going to do from here. I might make an alternate ending and in one of the stories Prussia survives and in the other he does not, but which one is it going to be? HMMMM?!
By the way; stories update:
Micheal and Iseah: Kind of lost my jump drive which has all of the story on it… I'll find it! Don't worry!
Lifeless: Yeah… so… I still have writer's block on that one… so… I blame you guys! It was only supposed to be a one shot! :'( I still love ya'll though. 3 If I still have writer's block, I may just edit it and make it a two shot or delete the second chapter… I'll decide when the time comes. Sorry. :/
Death: I refuse to post it without reaching 2,000 words. I absolutely refuse.
And other stories… well… working on them. I haven't been able to write much lately and right now I'm mainly focusing on Handicaps of Living, Lifeless and Death so… sorry… :/
