Hey everyone I'm back! I hope everyone enjoys the chapter! I don't own Flash or any of the characters.

"M-Mom?" Barry's eyes widened.

The bright blue eyes of Nora Allen sparkles as she laid eyes on her son. Rip Hunter took her from the night of her death, just after tucking Barry into bed. It was quite a shock what a Rip had to say, however standing here on a time machine seeing her son older made her believe it.

"My beautiful boy!" Nora grinned as she hugged Barry tightly. Letting go of her son, she turns to her older, yet still just as handsome husband.

"Nora..." Henry's eyes widened as his wife turns to him, a brilliant smile on her face.

"Hey handsome!" Nora called out to him as they embraced and kissed. Turning to both Barry and Henry, a sad expression on her face. "I'm so sorry I leave you guys, it's not fair to either of you. It's not fair that you had to grow up without your parents and it's not fair you were thrown in prison for a crime you didn't commit."

"It's not your fault mom." Barry said, tears in his eyes. "The man in yellow took you from me. And I will get revenge for you."

"No honey." Nora said, shaking her head. "Not revenge. Justice."

Joe nodded in the background. "Hey Nora."

Nora turned to him and grinned. "Hey Joe, Hey Iris." Hugging both of them, she turns to those she doesn't know. "I'm Barry's mom, Nora."

Oliver stood up and introduced himself. "I'm Oliver Queen, and this is John Diggle and Felicity Smoak."

"Queen?" Nora questions. "As in Queen Consolidated?"

"That's correct." Oliver stared.

"Ah So you are the Arrow. Rip told me about you." Turning to the rest, everyone introduced themselves to Nora, and only Caitlin remained.

"Mom, this is Caitlin Snow." Barry told her. "My girlfriend."

Nora hugged Caitlin in greeting, before telling her "You better treat him right. He needs all the love he can get."

"I will Mrs. Allen." Caitlin tells her.

"Call me Nora, dear." She tells them. "Now lets get on to the show, shouldn't we Flash?" She grins as she calls her son by his hero name.

JITTERS

Iris [VO, typing on her blog: To understand what I'm about to tell you, you need to do something first. You need to believe in the impossible. Can you do that?

"Didn't Barry say that?" Caitlin questioned

"Must be a adopted sibling thing." Iris shrugged.

Iris [VO: Good, because all of us, we have forgotten what miracles look like. Maybe because they haven't made much of an appearance lately. Our lives have become ordinary, but there is someone out there who is truly extraordinary. I don't know where you came from. I don't know your name, but I have seen you do the impossible to protect the city I love. So for those of us who believe in you and what you're doing, I just want to say thank you.

"Your Welcome." Barry smirks.

[Flash speeds in, picking up Iris and running her to rooftop.]

Flash [Voice disguised: You're welcome.

Iris: How did you... I literally just hit send.

Flash: Speed reading.

Iris: It's crazy what you can do to your voice.

"Definitely is." Nora commented.

Flash: You need to stop writing your blog.

Iris: People need to know that you exist. [Phone ringing, Eddie calling, Iris hangs up] What else can you do?

"Really babe?" Eddie looks at Iris insulted.

Flash: This is not an interview.

Iris: Come on. You got to give me something. Hobbies, pet peeves, favorite color? Wait, scratch that last one. Red, duh, obviously.

"Actually no." Barry laughs.

Flash: You're not hearing me.

Iris: My hearing is fine. It's just selective. What should I call you?

"Good one Iris." Cisco laughs.

Flash: Anything but The Streak.

Iris: Fine. Suggestions?

"The Flash!" Felicity laughs.

Flash: You said you were writing about me to bring hope to someone you care about. How would he feel if doing that put you in harm's way?

Iris: He and I aren't exactly on the same page these days. Besides, you're giving hope to a lot of people, so I'm doing this for them. [Sirens blaring]

Flash: To be continued. Gotta run. [speeds off]

Iris: Hey! You can't just leave me up... [Flash runs back and brings her down] Here.

"Damn I wish I had super speed." Henry whistles.

[Yellow Humvee crashing through cars, driver grinning and whooping]

Driver: Whoo-hoo-hoo!

"Who the hell steals a yellow Humvee?" Singh laughs.

[Police set up blockade of cars, Eddie and Joe exit]

Eddie: What kind of a tool steals a yellow Humvee?

Joe: What kind of tool buys a yellow Humvee? Get these people back.

Eddie: I need everybody back!

[Kid walks out into street wearing headphones]

Joe: Son! Out of the way! Out of the way!

[Flash speeds kid out of way. Cops fire at vehicle, one shot hitting driver. Impact area turns silver like metal. Eddie shoots again, same thing.]

"Meta." Diggle groans. "None of these guys better come to Star City."

Eddie: What the hell?

Joe: Eddie! Eddie!

[Humvee drives through barricade]

Driver: Yeah!

[Flash speeds past, causing driver to slam on brakes]

Flash: Step out of the vehicle!

Driver: If you say so.

[Driver grabs Door from car hinges and picks it up]

"Oh no." Nora grasps Henry's hand.

Flash: Uh-oh.

[Flash dodges the door as it is thrown at him. Flash speeds up and tries to hit him, only for his hand to shatter on the mans face, which turns metallic. Man hits flash with metallic arm, causing him to go flying]

"No!" Caitlin screams

Man: Looks like you were born to take a beating. [Flash speeds away]

Barry and Iris share a glance. That sounds familiar.

STAR LABS: ENTRANCE

Caitlin: Check the math. Your dispersal models don't correlate.

Cisco: Uh, they do if you factor in the seasonal fluctuations in reproduction cycles.

Wells: What exactly are we debating?

Cisco: The average number of bugs Barry swallows in a day of running.

Cue facepalms around the room.

Wells: I look forward to seeing you accept your nobel.

Cisco [noticing Barry lying in cortex: Barry?

Caitlin: Barry? Are you okay?

Caitlin [Later: 13 fractures. That's a new record, and that's just in your hand. You also have a concussion, three cracked ribs, and a bruised spleen. Even with your powers, you'll need a few hours to heal.

"Ouch." Oliver winces.

Wells: What exactly did you hit?

Barry: A man. A big, bad man. His skin changed when I hit him. Like, it turned to metal.

Wells: Interesting. A man of steel.

"Why does that sound like a comic book character?" Cisco mutters.

Cisco: So you went after a meta-human alone? Dude, why didn't you call us?

Barry: I didn't know what he was. Besides, I was off-duty.

Caitlin: Hmm.

"You clearly know." Iris rolls her eyes.

Cisco: You're lucky he didn't knock out your teeth. Those puppies don't grow back.

Barry: The strange thing is I feel like I knew him.

Caitlin: What do you mean?

Barry: He said something that was familiar, but he's gonna hurt someone if we don't stop him. So how do I fight a guy that's made of steel?

"I wonder who it is." Barry questions. "He acted so familiar."

Wells: We will find a way. Tonight, you heal.

Barry: Yeah.

CCPD:

[Joe watching interview of Barry after his mom died]

Y. Barry: There was lightning in my house. Yellow and red lightning. There was a man in yellow, then I was on the street. I don't know how I got there. Please, you have to believe me!

"Now we do Barry." Eddie tells him. "If the show doesn't tell us, we will find out who."

Barry: Hey.

Joe: What happened to you last night?

Barry: Got beat up by a steel-plated sociopath. Good times.

Joe: So he is a meta-human?

Barry: Yeah.

Joe: That particle accelerator's the gift that keeps on giving. You okay?

"Well it may have caused it, but at least it gave us a way to stop them." Cisco reasons.

Barry: Relatively. Any idea who he is?

Joe: Eddie's taking point while I run down a lead. I need you to work with him until I get back.

Barry: Wait, why me?

Joe: Because he saw something impossible that he's got questions about, questions that I can't answer.

Barry: In other words, make up some science-y stuff to throw him off?

"I guess that is the only way to keep me not knowing about metas." Eddie shrugged.

Joe: Exactly.

Singh: He stole the Humvee and evaded capture. [Barry walks in] So pleased you could join us, Mr. Allen. Rough night?

Barry: Uh, just a little beat, sir.

Singh: As I was saying, our perp yanked three ATMs after he boosted the vehicle. Atm security cameras caught him on video. We got a hit in the database. Tony Woodward.

"Oh no." Barry and Iris mutter.

"Who is that?" Nora questions.

"My childhood bully. He started on me right after you died." Barry explained.

Singh: He's got a history of violence, petty theft, assault, going way back to juvie. Dropped off the radar ten months ago. Looks like he's back.

FLASHBACK: BARRY'S SCHOOL

Barry: Increased pressure produces increased heat, and if you don't release it, you get combustion.

Iris: I don't know how you remember all this stuff, Barry.

"Because he is really smart." Caitlin explains slowly to the tv Iris, before blushing as she realized what she just did.

Tony: Because he's a little freak, just like his old man.

Barry: Don't talk about my dad.

Tony: Or what? Is he gonna murder me, too? [Pushes Barry into lockers] Looks like you were born to take a beating, Allen.

Eddie [present day: Allen. Hey, Allen. Hey. You okay?

Barry: Hey, yeah. Sorry, Eddie.

Eddie: Listen, I saw something last night I just can't get my head around.

"Let's see how good you are at lying." Oliver comments.

Barry: Uh-huh.

Eddie: I fired a dozen rounds at our car thief, and it was like they sparked off of him.

Barry: Huh, well, I mean, he must have been wearing some kind of body armor.

Oliver winced at the terrible lie. That sounded like the kind of lie Oliver told when he was testing someone.

Eddie: On his face?

Barry: Um...

Iris: Hey. Barry. Hi, babe, I saw the news. Are you okay?

"Good timing Iris." Joe nods.

Eddie: Yeah, I'm fine, which you would know if you checked your messages. I tried you three times.

Iris: Sorry. I had to work late. Um, so I heard that The Streak saved a kid. Any comment, detective?

Eddie: All I know is our perp got away, but Barry here is gonna help me find him.

"Plus us!" Cisco grins.

Barry: Yeah.

Iris: Fine. I have other sources. I will see you tonight. Bye.

Eddie: Bye. What is going on with you two?

Barry: What do you mean? Nothing, it's fine. It's... I don't know.

Eddie: Okay.

STAR LABS

Joe: Dr. Wells.

Wells: I guess you heard about Barry's incident last night. If you're looking for him I think he's at the station.

Joe: I actually came here to see you. I need your help solving an old case of mine.

"Probably not a good idea. He could be involved." Barry mutters.

Wells: What case is that?

Joe: The murder of Barry's mother.

Cisco [next day: Your childhood nemesis is now an unstoppable meta-human. That is seriously messed up.

"Definitely." Nora comments.

Caitlin: I had a childhood nemesis. Lexi La Roche. She used to put gum in my hair.

Cisco: Jake Puckett. If I didn't let him copy my homework he'd give me a swirly.

The parents in the room look at the young adults sadly.

Barry: Now that we've established that we're all uber-nerds, what are we gonna do about Tony?

Cisco: Glad you asked. We're gonna train you, man. Karate Kid style. [unveiling metal statue] Behold! I call him Girder.

"And that sounds like a brilliant villain name." Cisco grins.

Caitlin: For the record, not my idea.

Cisco: Fighting is physics. It's not about strength. It's not about size. It's about energy and power. Channel your speed the right way and you can totally take this bad boy down. Now obviously your Girder is a moving target. So... [Cisco makes statue move]

"That's pretty cool." Diggle admits.

Caitlin: I have ice and bandages standing by.

[Barry starts to 'fight it', as the statue hits Barry, making him crumple.]

Winces around the room.

Barry: I'm pretty sure I just dislocated my shoulder.

Caitlin [holding Barry's arm: Okay, not gonna lie. This is gonna be quick but extremely painful.

Barry [phone rings: Oh, speaking of pain. Eddie, hey.

"Really Barry?" Eddie rolls his eyes.

Eddie [on phone: Allen, we found the stolen Humvee in the alley at Fremont and Lawrence. Need you down here to do your thing.

Barry: Great. I'll see you in a sec. [hanging up] Okay. Okay. Let's do this.

Caitlin: So Barry, when you said you were off-duty last night, you weren't visiting Iris again. You know, in disguise? 'Cause that would be reckless and a little creepy.

Barry: No.

"Liar liar, pants on fire." Felicity sings.

Caitlin: Good. [Joint pops] [Screams]

CRIME SCENE

Eddie: Allen, you really need a car.

Barry: I usually manage on foot okay. What do we got?

Eddie: The rig Tony woodward boosted last night. No sign of the stolen ATMs. Probably got those where he's holed up, though he's gonna have one hell of a time breaking 'em open.

"Doubt that." Cisco exclaims.

Barry: I wouldn't be so sure.

Eddie: So, about you and Iris...

Barry: Look, Eddie, we had a fight, and I just don't really feel comfortable talking about it with you.

Eddie: I get that, and I get that you two go way back. To be honest, I was a little threatened by you at first.

Barry looks at Eddie who nods in agreement with the tv version of himself.

Barry: You were threatened by me?

Eddie: Sure. I mean, I've seen how close you two are, but you seem like a good guy, and Iris, I just want her to be happy. From my experience, good friends are hard to find.

"Indeed." Singh agrees.

Man: Detective. Excuse me. Sir, we ran the plates on that Humvee...

FLASHBACK: PARK

[Barry is practicing punching with Joe]

Iris: Come on, Barry! You can do it!

Joe: Barr, focus!

Barry: I am!

Joe: Son, son, son. You're getting frustrated. You need to learn how to control your emotions. Iris, come here, sweetie.

"Let's see Barry get his ass kicked by Iris!" Caitlin grinned.

Barry: You want me to hit a girl?

Iris: He wants you to try.

Joe: Relax, Barry. I've had her in gloves since she was six. She's tougher than she looks.

[Iris dodges all of Barry's punches, and knocks him to the ground]

"Badass!" Cisco grins.

Iris: Sorry, Barry.

Joe: Son... Sometimes the best way to win a fight is not to start one, but if you do come up against somebody you know you can't beat, be smart. It's okay to run the other way. All right?

"Very good advice." Nora grins at Joe.

"At least he had you when we couldn't be there." Henry tells him.

PRESENT DAY: CRIME SCENE

Eddie: So what do you think?

Barry: Judging by the mud and kegs I'd say he got hammered, stole a big-ass truck, and went joyriding. I bet the kegs are stolen, too. Rusty Iron Ale, it's a micro brewed right over in...

Eddie: Keystone, I know the place. Let's check it out.

Barry: Yeah. [notices metal fragments in car which he collects secretly]

"Well spotted Allen." Singh admits.

STAR LABS

Joe: Barry described a tornado of red and yellow lightning inside a man in yellow. Then, bam. He's blocks away on the street. Doesn't know how he got there. When I arrived, the place was a wreck.

Wells: Nora Allen is dead.

Joe: Single stab wound to the heart. Henry Allen covered in her blood.

Wells: And despite all the evidence that Henry Allen is guilty, now you believe this... What, man in yellow is responsible?

"Not believe. I know." Joe states.

Joe: Last night, I saw Barry rescue a young boy from being run over, and it looked exactly like what Barry described happened to him. It got me thinking, what if somebody with Barry's abilities killed Nora?

Wells: There's one flaw with your theory though, detective, and is that all of this happened 14 years ago, which is long before...

Joe: Your machine gave Barry his powers.

"Yeah That is the only confusing thing." Nora states.

Wells: An accident gave Barry his powers.

Joe: Do you think it is possible that somebody with Barry's super-speed could have existed before the explosion?

Wells: Detective, I deal in probabilities as a scientist, and in this case... It's highly unlikely.

"But not impossible." Oliver's eyes narrow.

RUSTY IRON ALE

Eddie: Gentlemen, CCPD. Any chance some of your merchandise was stolen last night?

Man: No, I don't think so.

Eddie: How about this guy? You seen him? [holding out photo, man hesitates]

"He knows him." Oliver states.

"Yeah that's obvious." Felicity laughs.

Barry: You know Tony, don't you?

Eddie: Hey. [man runs] Allen, come on! [Barry speeds around man, blocking his path. Barty lets himself get hit, Eddie tackles man] Allen, you okay?

"Well done faking Barry." Henry nods his approval. "However getting hit was a little excessive."

Barry: Oh, never better.

Eddie: Get up.

Man: I didn't do nothing, man!

Eddie: So why'd you run?

Man: Look, it was an accident!

Eddie: What was?

Man: Tony falling, okay? But I swear to God, we didn't kill him!

"This guy is definitely a person of interest." Singh sighs.

Eddie: Keep talking.

Man: About ten months ago, Keystone Ironworks. Boss is handing out pink slips. Tony gets his, and he just snapped. He started beating the crap out of the guy. We pulled him off, and then the lights went out. Some kind of power surge. And then Tony went over the railing right into a vat of molten scrap. Just gone.

"And then the Accelerator blew." Barry comments.

Eddie: Lucky for you he's still alive.

Man: What?

Eddie [to Barry: How'd you get in front of us?

Barry: Shortcut.

JITTERS

Iris's Coworker: I've been meaning to ask you, where's your shadow?

Iris: What shadow?

"Dang here I thought I was unnoticed where I went." Barry laughed.

Coworker: Barry. He hasn't been in all week.

Iris: Getting his fix somewhere else.

Coworker: Too bad. He's cute, I kind of miss having him around.

Caitlin glances at Barry, squeezing his hand. He definitely is cute.

Tony [walking in] Iris? Long time no see. I got to say, Iris, you look amazing.

"Oh no." Everyone chimed.

Iris: Thanks, Tony. Um, you too.

Tony: Oh, yeah. I keep in shape. I got a gym at my place. Been living out in Keystone on he West Side, and you should, uh... You should stop by sometime.

"Hell no!" Iris shouted, grossed out.

Iris: So, uh, can I get you a drink?

Tony: No, I came to see you.

Iris: How did you know I was here?

Tony: I've been reading up on The Streak. Found your little blog. Why are you writing about this guy?

"Because he is a hero." Iris growls.

Iris: People say that he's a hero.

Tony: I say he's a coward, and I happen to know that he took a beating last night and ran off like a little girl. You should write about that. Do you have any idea who leather boy is?

"Your childhood victim." Barry laughs.

Iris: No clue. So, um, if you don't want a drink I should probably get back to work.

Tony: Actually I'd prefer to buy you a drink. What time you off?

Iris: Thanks, Tony, but I don't think my boyfriend would approve. He's a cop, like my dad.

Tony: I never really did like cops too much.

Coworker [pointing at tv showing Tony is Wanted] Iris!

"Good job to your friend." Joe nods.

Iris: Well he's picking me up for the policeman's ball. Wall to wall cops. Can't swing a cat. I should probably call him to see where he is...

Tony: Give me the phone, Iris. Now! [Iris hands him phone, in which he crushes, dropping in tip jar] I'm sorry. [drops wad of cash in jar] Uh, for the damage. We'll pick this up some other time.

"Well dang!" Iris laughed. "He just basically bought me the newest phone."

STAR LABS

Cisco: Barry! Check it out! The gravel you pulled from Tony's ride? It contains 76.8% hematite. Consistent with the mines at Keystone Ironworks.

Barry: Which closed down ten months ago. It's the perfect hideout.

Caitlin: Barry, do you mind telling me about this?

[Caitlin shows Barry Iris's blog, which has a new update]

Caitlin: "I have info about someone you're looking for. He was here. You know where to find me." Now who could she be talking to?

"That is very clever Iris." Oliver nods. "Vague enough that no one will know who or where. But enough that Barry will know."

JITTERS

Iris: I guess you got my message.

Flash: Are you okay?

Iris: Cop's daughter. I can handle myself.

Flash: Not with this guy.

"Now I know." Iris shivered at the thought of trying to punch him.

Iris: I knew him when we were kids. He didn't want to hurt me. He wanted to impress me, but he is fixated on you, and not in a good way.

Flash: Do you know where he went?

Iris: He said he had a place out in west Keystone. Bragged about how big it was, but I have no idea where.

Flash: I do.

Iris: Wait, there's something else. His hand. It transformed like an iron fist. He's like you, isn't he?

"And then Iris fully knows about metas." Joe groans.

Flash: Yes, and writing about me is what brought him to you.

Iris: I know, but maybe I could talk...

Flash: No! He's too dangerous.

[Cops Knocking on glass]

Iris: Damn, that's my ride. Eddie insisted on a detail. [Flash Whooshes away] I have to... Go.

"Thank You Eddie." Both Barry and Joe say as Iris groans.

STREETS

Caitlin [on comms: Barry, talk to us. What are you doing?

Cisco [on comms: Dude, don't run angry. We don't know how to defeat him yet.

"Fighting angry causes you to loose focus and lash out." Oliver states. "Only calm can you win. That's how I was able to beat Deathstroke."

KEYSTONE IRONWORKS

Flash [noticing beer: This is definitely the place.

Tony [grabbing Flash and throwing him: You're trespassing, freak! There's nowhere left to run. [Knocks heavy rack on top of Flash]

"Oh no!" Caitlin jumps up, her eyes unknowingly crystal white.

Caitlin [Later, at Ironworks: Barry?

Cisco: Barry, where are you? [noticing him] Caitlin, over here!

Caitlin: Barry? Please, say something! Say something so we know you're okay.

Flash: Ow.

"I guess that works." Felicity giggles.

Caitlin: Get him out of there!

STAR LABS

Wells: What were you thinking? What were you thinking? I told you that we would figure out a way to deal with him.

"I may not like that man." Nora says. "Not after what you guys saw of him. But he does seem to care about Barry."

Barry: I'll heal.

Wells: You can't heal when you're dead. He could have killed you.

Barry: I know, all right? I know! In the past 36 hours I've had my ass handed to me twice by the guy that tortured me as a kid. I couldn't stop him then, and I can't stop him now! Even with my powers I'm still powerless against him.

"It often feels that way." Oliver sighs. "However you must stand strong to beat him."

Wells: Not necessarily. Cisco? [Cisco goes to computers] Any material, if struck at a high enough velocity can be compromised.

"Makes sense" Eddie shrugs.

"But how fast?" Nora questions.

Cisco: We ran an analysis on the metal in Tony's footprint. Based on its density and atomic structure, if you impact it at just the right angle, at just the right speed, you could do some serious damage.

Barry: How fast would I have to go?

Cisco: Factoring in the metal's tensile strength, estimated dermal thickness, atmospheric pressure, air temp, you'd have to hit him at approximately... Mach 1.1.

"That's faster than the speed of sound!" Barry exclaims.

Caitlin: You want Barry to hit something at 800 miles an hour?

Cisco: 837, actually.

Caitlin: That's faster than the speed of sound.

Cisco: I know. He would create a sonic boom, which, as I've said before, would be awesome.

"Definitely badass." Cisco grins.

Barry: I've never gone that fast.

Wells: Yet.

Caitlin: I can't believe we're actually entertaining this idea. I mean, he'd need a straight shot from Miles away.

Cisco: Yeah, 5.3 Miles, theoretically.

Wells: Do it right, you'll take him down.

Caitlin: Do it wrong, you'll shatter every bone in your body.

"I won't do it without proper testing." Barry assures Caitlin, hoping he is right.

CCPD

Joe: Barry.

Barry: Joe, I've been beaten up enough for one day. I gotta...

Joe: Hey, wait. An anonymous tip led us to Tony Woodward's hideout. The place was trashed. What happened?

Barry: He shows up at Jitters to see Iris. I had to go after him.

Joe: Iris, where is she?

Barry: She's fine, she's fine. Eddie put a detail her to be safe. I thought I could handle him this time. I tried.

"Never go in without a plan." Oliver lectures.

"Oh shut up Oliver." Felicity rolls her eyes. "You know very well if I was threatened you'd go after me with no plan."

Joe: Look, I know what this punk put you through, but you can't let emotion cloud your judgment.

Eddie: The tollbooth camera got a shot of Woodward. Stolen car headed out of town. State police are taking over. We lost him.

"The cops may have, but Flash hasn't." Henry grins.

Joe: Don't worry, Eddie. They'll get him.

Eddie: I wanted to take this guy down.

Barry: Not half as much as I did.

Eddie: Let's go, Allen.

Barry: Go where?

Eddie: Blow off some steam. I need to hit something.

"Ummmm." Barry glances at Eddie.

"I doubt I mean hit you." Eddie laughs.

Barry: What?

Joe: I don't think he meant hit you. Go.

CCPD: BARRY'S LAB

[Eddie punching a punching bag, Barry holding it]

"Oh, that makes more sense." Barry shrugs. "Definitely better than being beat up by my friends boyfriend."

Eddie: So I heard you and this Woodward guy have a history. [Barry hesitates] Hey, Allen. It's okay. Trust me. I had my fair share of bullies at school.

All the guys look at Eddie and laugh. "Doubtful." Henry states.

"You are very good looking." Felicity shrugs.

Barry: Yeah, somehow I find that hard to believe.

Eddie: I was short, fat, and the son of a politician who closed the factory in my school district, so not so popular.

"Yeah, That was a rough time." Eddie nods.

Barry: So what'd you do about it?

Eddie: I got my ass kicked. A lot, until my gym coach took pity on me. She said the key to fighting is patience. Here. [Gives Barry the gloves] A lot of guys waste energy trying to land the most punches. All it takes is one, but you got to make it count. Choose your spot and drive through it, like it's six inches behind the target. [Punch] Harder. [Punches] Harder!

[Barry accidentally uses his speed to punch, breaks bag and Eddie feels the impact, falls back coughing]

"Oh no!" Nora sits up. "You Better be able to lie out of this one."

Barry: The seam was starting to split.

[Eddie Chuckles]

"I guess that works." She shrugs.

BAR/RESTAURANT

Joe: Appreciate you coming down.

Wells: Hmm, well these days it's rare to find someone happy to have a drink with me.

"I wonder why?" Caitlin says sarcastically.

Joe: Well, our conversation yesterday got me thinking. You said, as a scientist, you look for the probable?

Wells: That's right.

Joe: And we both recently have seen things that have redefined what is possible.

Wells: Yes, we have, and we both know the direct cause of those things.

Joe: Your accelerator explosion.

Wells: Evolutionary leaps follow the creation of new technologies. It's that simple.

Joe: Like the Roomba.

Wells [Laughs: Yes, like the Roomba.

Everyone looks at Joe who blushes in embarrassment. It's not his fault that he doesn't fully get this science stuff.

Joe: So humor me here.

Wells: Hmm?

Joe: If we know that meta-humans were created by the particle accelerator and testimony shows that a meta-human may have been involved in the murder of Barry Allen's mother 14 years ago, it seems to me that... Way back then there must have been another particle accelerator.

"Unfortunately not possible." Cisco states. "If So then it wouldn't have been a big deal when STAR did it."

Wells: Another particle accelerator?

Joe: Hmm.

Wells: I can assure you that's extremely unlikely, detective, and if they were I don't recall any dark matter lightning storms before I moved to town. Do you?

Joe: No, no, I don't. When did you move to town, Dr. Wells?

"Okay you aren't going to him for help." Diggle states. "You just gave yourself away."

Wells: Something tells me that you already know the answer to that question, detective. This whole "help me solve the murder of Nora Allen," you were never looking for my help, were you?

Joe: You opened your lab a month after Nora Allen's murder. Would you mind telling me what you were doing in Central City before that?

"You are suspicious he's involved." Barry realized.

"That's good detective work." Singh nods in approval.

Wells: I was starting over.

Joe: Starting what over?

Wells: Here I thought we were just two guys having a friendly drink. You want answers, detective? Tess Morgan, look her up.

Singh flinches. He knows that name.

WEST HOUSEHOLD

Dispatch [on Iris's detail radio] Unit 52, this is dispatch. Requesting status update on the West house.

[Tony smashes car window, killing cops. Iris looks out window to see cop car flipped. Turning around, Tony is there]

Tony: Hey, Iris.

"Oh no!" Barry, Iris, Eddie, and Joe gasp.

CCPD

Eddie [helping Barry on his punching: Nice, Allen.

Barry: Yeah. All right.

Eddie [finishing: Okay. Hey, next time work on your speed.

Barry [mentally laughing at irony: Yeah, I'll do my best.

"The irony." Eddie shakes his head.

Cop: Thawne, Allen. The unit watching Joe's daughter, they've been attacked. Iris is missing.

Barry: Go, all right? I'll call Joe.

STAR LABS

Cisco [running simulation] Let's adjust the impact angle by 2 degrees, up the speed to 838. Bam. [Model Flash disintegrates] Ouch.

Barry flinches. That would not be good.

Caitlin: Ouch?

Barry [on comms: Guys, you there?

Cisco: Yeah, man, what's up?

Barry: Tony took Iris. I need you to do whatever you can to help me find her. All right? Satellites, security cameras. Hack 'em all.

Cisco: We're on it.

"Anything for my friend." Cisco smiles.

Joe [seeing Barry in CCPD: What's wrong?

CARMICHAEL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Tony: Remember this place, Iris?

Iris: So what's the plan here, Tony? You finally gonna go for that G.E.D?

Tony: You want a plan? How's this? You used to write about The Streak, right? Now you're gonna write about me.

"Why in the hell would she do that?" Eddie asks, rage in his eyes.

Iris: You just abducted me, Tony. Why would I do that?

Tony: Because The Streak is dead.

Iris: No.

Tony: Squashed like a little bug by me. So if you don't want the same thing to happen to you, you're gonna tell the whole world that there's a new big man on campus! And I'm just getting started.

Iris: You could have anybody write about you, Tony. Why me?

Tony: 'Cause I like you, Iris. Always have.

"Eww!" Iris clenches her nose.

Iris: You should have said something.

[faking being flirtatious, Iris pulls fire alarm, and runs, only for Tony to catch her]

"Oh that was close." Henry comments.

"Good distraction, Iris." Oliver compliments.

Tony: You try anything like that again and I'm gonna leave more than a bruise!

CCPD

Joe: Eddie, anything yet?

Eddie: We have roadblocks on every major artery. Units are searching.

Singh: We will find Iris, Joe.

Joe [to Barry: You don't think he'll hurt her, do you?

"Not if I'm fast enough." Barry states.

Cop: Sir, sir, we got a fire alarm call at Carmichael Elementary.

Singh: Dispatch the fire department. We'll send backup when we can.

Joe: That's the school you and Iris went to.

Barry: And Tony.

Joe: Go.

"Good catch there." Singh says. "You could have told us though."

SCHOOL

Iris: Tony, turn yourself in before things get worse. It's not too late.

Tony: Yeah, it is. Cops are already looking for me, so get ready to cover the showdown of a lifetime 'cause I'm not going out without a fight.

Flash [speeding in: Good, 'cause you just found one.

"How did you hear him?" Felicity asks, only for Barry to shrug.

Tony: You just won't stay dead. Come to save your little fan girl?

Flash: This is between us. Let her go.

Tony: Oh, I could, but I'd rather make her watch while I break every bone in your body.

[Flash slides under a punch, running Iris to the other end of the hall]

A nod of approval from Oliver.

Flash: Wait here.

Iris: Okay.

Flash: [dodging Tony again, kicking him in the back] Too slow, tin man. [Dodges again] I've known guys like you. Peaked in high school. Never got over it. All these powers, and look at you! Bully then, bully now.

[Flash grabs a flagpole to hit Tony with, But Tony grabs it and starts to swing Flash into lockers]

"You got cocky." Diggle tells him.

Cisco [in STAR: He's hurt.

Iris: No!

Younger Joe [in flashback: If you do come up against somebody you know you can't beat, be smart. It's okay to run the other way.

[Flash runs out]

Tony: There goes your hero.

Cisco: He made it out. Barely.

Caitlin [as Barry stops: Why did he stop?

"No..." Cisco grins.

Cisco: He's miles away. 5.3 miles away.

"Oh no!" Caitlin panics, grasping her boyfriends hand as if it could disappear anytime.

Caitlin [as Barry takes off: Barry, wait!

Cisco: No way. He's gonna do it! Go, man, go!

[Window's shatter and car alarm blares as the Flash runs by them. A cone of air forms around Flash as the sound of a sonic boom echoes, causing Tony to turn around. Flash zooms through the doors, punching Tony, the punch more powerful than Tony's skin]

"SUPERSONIC PUNCH, BABY!!!!" Cisco screams as everyone else was amazed at Barry's speed.

Cisco: Supersonic punch, baby! Whoo!

[Tony slowly gets up as Flash groans on the ground. Iris pinches Tony, knocking him out]

"Nice punch!" Eddie grins at his girl.

Flash: Nice cross.

Iris: Yeah, I think I broke my hand.

Flash: Oh, me too.

STAR LABS PIPELINE

Tony: Hey! What is this? Where the hell am I?

Flash: Somewhere you'll never hurt anyone ever again.

"Thankfully." Barry states.

"It's good he is in there, but now how will you explain his disappearance to us?" Singh questions.

Tony: Who the hell do you think you are?

Barry [stepping into light: You know who I am.

Tony: Allen?

A loud smack echoes as it's clear Oliver just let out the biggest facepalm.

Barry: The thing that happened to you, Tony, it happened to me too, but it didn't just give us abilities. It made us more of who we are. You got strong. I got fast. Fast enough to beat you. You used your gift to hurt people. Not anymore.

Tony [As Barry turns and closes pipeline: Allen. Allen. Allen, don't walk away from me, Allen! Hey! Come back here! Allen! Allen!

Cisco: Dude, that had to feel great.

Barry: You have no idea.

"Knowing that will happen feels amazing." Barry grins.

Caitlin: Almost as good as proving me wrong about the supersonic punch?

Barry: Actually, that part hurt. Like, a lot. But I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Cisco: All I want to know is which childhood bully are we gonna take down next? Mine or Caitlin's?

"Caitlin's." Barry smirks.

"What? No!?" Cisco pleads.

Barry [scoffing: Okay, yeah.

Cisco: I vote mine. What? Guys, this is not a joke.

CORTEX

Joe: Doctor.

Wells: Detective. Are you here to make more accusations?

Joe: I'm here to make amends. I looked up Tess Morgan. I'm sorry for your loss. You two were research partners in Maryland?

Wells: Yes, we were. We were... Married to the work as much as to each other. After the car accident... I could not go back to the work. Could not go back to our lab.

"So he isn't involved?" Barry questions.

Joe: So you moved here.

Wells: Where no one knew me. Where no one could remind me of what I had lost, and, um... I... I found it difficult, starting over, rebuilding, and what took me 14 years Tess could have done in 4, believe me, she... She... At the time of Nora Allen's murder, the particle accelerator that I would eventually create was but a notion, much less a reality, and so whomever or whatever is responsible for her death, it did not originate from me or from my work.

"Maybe we just don't know everything." Cisco frowns.

Joe: I'm sorry I doubted you, but I hope I can still count on your help.

Wells: [Chuckles] You don't give up, do you?

Joe: Nope. Not till I get my man. I owe that to Barry and to Henry.

Wells: Barry is lucky to have you on his side, Joe.

"Indeed I am." Barry grins.

JITTERS

Barry: Hi.

Iris: Oh, I thought that you were someone else.

Joe: So Joe told me what happened. How's the hand?

Iris: Not broken, so that's something.

"Definitely Good, since I don't have super healing." Iris comments.

Barry: I should have believed...

Iris: I'm sorry I said... I've missed you.

Barry: Yeah, I've missed you too. When I heard Tony took you, I... I just... I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you.

Iris: Well, my guardian angel's looking out for me. Do you want to hang out and catch up?

Barry blushes, but gives a reassuring squeeze to Caitlin's hand.

Barry: Yeah. I would like that, yeah.

Iris: I promise not to talk about The Streak tonight.

Barry: No, I want you to. No, I mean, I want... You can... I want you to talk about whatever you'd want to talk about. I knows important to you.

Iris: Good because it's not just The Streak. There are others out there that are like him. I've gotten scattered posts about this guy that's on fire, except that he doesn't burn up.

Rip watches from a distance. He had to do something so Ronnie wouldn't get in between Barry and Caitlin when he shows up.

Barry: Okay, so wait. Wait. You're trying to find The Burning Man now too?

Iris: Yeah, why not? I mean, a lot can happen in a week, especially with The Streak. I've been trying to get answers from him. Where does he come from? How does he do what he does? But he dodges everything. Literally, with this super-speed power. When he moves, Barry, you don't even see him. He comes and goes in the blink of an eye, in a...

Barry: Flash?

"Definitely the best name." Barry grins. Oliver nods just slightly. After all, he much preferred the Arrow to the Hood.

Iris: In a Flash. Yeah.

Iris [VO/Blog: Today, I was saved by the impossible. A mystery man. The fastest man alive. Then a friend gave me an idea for a new name, and something tells me it's gonna catch on.

WEST HOUSEHOLD

[Joe is looking into the Nora Allen Murder. The power shuts off. Joe grabs gun. A streak of Red lightning knocks him to ground, running around house]

"No!" Everyone yelled!

[A man in yellow seen in the lightning. All the evidence is gone. A warning is on the wall. "STOP OR ELSE" with a knife to Iris's photo.]

"That bastard!" Joe screams. "Whoever that is will pay!"

"How did he know you were looking into it?" Eddie questions.

"The only people who know are Barry and..." Singh starts

"Wells." Nora finishes. Somehow Wells is involved. Somehow he is involved with her murder. There is no doubt.

Oh trust me Team Flash, He is more than just involved. But telling you that now would be spoilers. I hope everyone enjoyed the chapter and bringing in Nora. I did have a suggestion to bring in Jesse Quick, Harry Wells, and Supergirl, however I don't plan on bringing them in until season 2. After all they have no purpose in season 1. I will see you all a little later.

Don't Blink,

Beware The Weeping Angels.
