Sir Alister Oken stood straight in his dented steel armor. Several times he has been offered new armor or to have his current repaired, each time he refused, he believed the damaged showed the battles he had been in and how he survived to still be alive. The throne room was full of citizens of Omega. Today was the day The Grand King heard request from the citizens.
"Your grace, there have been several more killings down in the slums, I speck for its people who would like this to stop" a man in rags said bowing.
Jeffroy smiled. "I will increase the amount of guards stationed there".
Hours went by and Alister stood there still as a statue the whole time. Finally the people had left and it was just Jeffroy, Alister and the Kingdom Elite guards who were standing on the outskirts of the large hall. Jeffroy slummed down into the throne made of black marble and rubbed his head. He eventually got up and started to walk out into a corridor that leads to his room when the Kingdom Elite guards started to follow him as well.
"I don't need to be guarded" he said.
"Yes your grace" the commander said bowing his head.
Jeffroy carried on walking down the corridor while the Kingdom Elite guards left the giant hall through the massive doors and went to the barracks. Alister was left alone. He started to walk for a corridor as well but was stopped by Lord Tauros, the master of spies.
"Sir Alister, just who I need to talk to" the hooded man said.
"You knew I was here, why did you wait to talk to me now?" Alister asked still walking down the corridor with Tauros beside him.
"Because these words aren't for the Grand King" he said in his low quiet voice.
"Very well, what are they then?" The knight asked the spy master.
"You do know there will be retaliation?" Tauros asked raising his eyebrows.
"Of course I do, only a fool wouldn't believe. Unfortunately I think his grace knows it though" the knight said then sighed.
"His grace shouldn't of sent the crowns back, at least then the princesses would of thought perhaps a accident at sea caused their deaths. Sending crowns tells them they were murdered, they will want war for this" Tauros explained.
"I know" Sir Oken said.
"I tried to tell the King this but he won't listen. His mind is in pieces and he keeps thinking that those Kings and Queens were going to betray him. In the end he betrayed them" Oken said.
"For once I do not know what to do, hopefully you do" the spy master said.
"No. I don't" he said.
"Well I hope for the sake us all that you will soon" Tauros said then stopped walking along with Oken.
Oken noticed this and stopped walking and turned to look at the man standing there.
"The King has made a decision that will lead to the death of us all. We are the only ones that can stop it" Tauros then turned then walked back the way the two were walking down.

An old man sat behind a wooden table in a large room with the light of the sun filling it. The sound of writing was the only sound that could be heard in the room. A knock came from the wooden door and the old man looked up at the door.
"You can come in Oken" the old man said then returned to his writing.
The general entered the room and stood on the other side of the wooden desk and looked down at Lord Thorian, the royal advisor.
"I know why you came here; it's about the war that will soon wash over this island. Isn't it?" the old man said without looking up from his writing.
Oken looked down to the ground and sat down in the seat behind him.
"Yes it is" he said.
"Very well. What about it then?" Thorian asked still writing.
"You are wise. Even I don't know what to do to stop what will happen, perhaps you do" the general said looking over to the old man.
The old man didn't answer very a long time. Several minutes passed. Oken was about to get up and leave when Thorian spoke.
"There is nothing we can do. Nothing at all. The Grand King, as wise as he is, made a decision that will insure several of our own deaths" he said to Oken dismay.
"Even with the Tremaines forces behind us we still can't take on four kingdoms. It's a losing battle" the old man said finally taking a break from his writing.
"So that's it then, we die, nothing else we can do" Oken said.
"You can always run" Thorian said looking up at Oken.
"I will never run" he said in a proud voice.
"Then hide behind these walls. Omega is a good defense. But we can't hide here forever; we might have enough food to feed the island for a year at most. After that we will start to drop like flies, including you and me, and the King".

The rain was falling lightly in the forest. A horse was pulling a wooden roofless carriage along a dirt road. Three men sat at the back whilst a fourth man sat at the front holding the reins of the brown horse. With them sat a young girl with black hair and blue eyes. Melody. She didn't know how long it had been since she was taken. A few days; a week, more. She didn't know. Her ankles and wrist were tied up; they had been since she was taken from her mother, and her home. She cried a lot for the first few days but stopped after that. She didn't even know what the men looked like. They changed clothes after they got her. They wore black pants and shirt with a grey poncho and hood with grey mask that covered their mouth and nose so only their eyes were visible. The road was bumpy and every bump sent her to the ground and unable to get back up without help. It was the first day she didn't have a gag in her mouth when she wasn't eating.
"Where are you taking me?" she asked in a miserable voice.
One of the men looked at her but didn't answer. He stared at her with intense eyes.
"Were taking you to Cambria. Someone there wanted you, and we want the gold that comes with it. So shut up or we'll gag you again" The man at the front said to her but keeping focused on the dirt road.
Melody eyed him with angry eyes. One of the men sitting in the back with her noticed this and roughly grabbed the top of head and turned it around to face him. He then hit her with the back of his hand viciously leaving an instant mark on her check.
"You ever going to do that again?" the man asked.
"No" Melody said weakly.
"Good".
The man then gagged her with a dirty piece of cloth and tied it tightly around the back of her head. She was scared, she didn't know what was going to happen to her, or why this was happening to her, or if she will see her mother and father again. She started to cry again.
