A/N: Hey there, it's me, dmoose18 (formerly ryanweston123, I hated that username lol)! Happy holidays! Xman and I are in a giving mood this month, so guess what? You get a 15k word chapter from us, done in 5 days! Now I know what you might be thinking, getting a chapter out that quickly and still having it be done well is absurd!

Well, that may be true, but how about if two writers work together at once? You heard me correctly, I wrote some of this chapter! I won't tell you which parts though, you'll have to guess that on your own! Feel free to leave your guesses along with your reviews, Xman and I want to see if anyone can tell us apart.

As for the chapter's quality, we've had these scenes planned out in our heads for some time now. You'd be surprised how far we've gone with it. One might even say we have super good ideas coming down the pipeline for you! (Am I allowed to say that Xman?)

Is that line still there? Then yes. Yes it is. :)

The plot course of the DBZ sections will remain a mystery to you, we won't give any hints on that. As for Remnant, the majority of this chapter is based in expanding character relationships, not much action to be found for Gohan. Well, that's not totallytrue, but you'll have to read yourself to find out.

Alright, I've said enough already. Time to let you guys start reading. This has ended up as my favorite chapter to date, so I hope you all enjoy it!

PS. It's my favorite chapter too...not my favorite part though. That's for later on. Way later on.

Chapter 7 - A New Super Saiyan is Born? Pranks and Mischief Aplenty!

"So, there we were, in the middle of the night…"

Gohan sat with his new group of friends, a large bowl of rice in front of him. Well, not large by his standards, but he did get a few odd looks from the kitchen staff when he loaded it onto his plate. Nearly two weeks had passed at Beacon Academy, the second coming to a close in just a couple periods. Everything had gone pretty smoothly since that rough first day, Weiss was being much more agreeable with the team. While she still wasn't exactly the warm and fuzzy type, it was still an improvement that she hadn't been constantly yelling at Ruby.

Meanwhile, Gohan had been putting more thought into his sword with Professor Peach after each class. He had finished a few rounds of sketches on what he thought it should look like. Today was Friday, and Peach had promised that if he had a design for it by the end of next week they could start molding on the Monday after, so Gohan was pretty excited. He didn't need the weapon, but he figured the art of forging it would be interesting if nothing else.

At the moment, he sat in the lunchroom, surrounded by the two teams he called his friends, RWBY and JNPR. He was listening intently to Nora's story as he ate, with Ren's clarifying interjections.

"It was day."

"We were surrounded by ursai…"

"They were beowolves."

"DOZENS OF THEM!"

"Two of them."

"But they were no match, and in the end, Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of lien selling ursa skin rugs."

As Nora finished, Ren sighed and explained to the rest of team RWBY and JNPR, who were all sitting at the same table. "She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now."

Both Pyrrha and Ruby had noticed their blonde haired friend fiddling with his food at the end of the table, a dejected look on his face. The scarlet haired warrioress decided to figure out what was wrong, she hated to see him in such a state. "Jaune, are you okay?"

"...Huh? Oh, yeah! Why?"

The crimsonette continued for Pyrrha. "It's just that, you seem a little…"

"Not at all okay?" Gohan had now finished his rice bowl, and finished Ruby's sentence for her as he too had noticed Jaune's unhappy look.

The young girl turned towards Gohan and smiled. "Yeah, that."

The saiyan returned her smile, but soon turned back towards the blonde swordsman. "Jaune, what's wrong? You know you can tell us, we're your friends. I'd be happy to try and help."

"Nothing is wrong, thank you for the offer though Gohan. I'm perfectly fine, see? Look!" He gave an extremely unconvincing smile, a thumbs up, and a nervous laugh, doing absolutely nothing to assuage his friends' worries.

From across the room, sounds of a boy laughing loudly were heard. Both Jaune and Gohan looked over towards the noise and noticed a group of boys surrounding a rabbit faunus girl, beginning to make fun of her. Jaune balled his fist in anger, and Gohan narrowed his eyes as he viewed the scene with distaste.

Pyrrha's voice brought them both back to the conversation. "That's not true and you know it. Gohan, you might not have seen it, but that boy over there has been picking on Jaune since the first week of school."

The saiyan raised his eyebrows in surprise. "What!? Are you serious? I heard that guy was mean, but he's been targeting you specifically Jaune? That's not okay at all."

"Who, Cardin Winchester? Nah, he just likes to mess around, you know, practical jokes!" The blonde was clearly doing everything he could to avoid the subject, but his friends weren't about to let him drop it.

"He's a bully." Ruby stated simply.

"Oh please, name ONE time he's 'bullied' me."

Yang chose this moment to chime in. "Oh I don't know, let's see. He slaps your books out of your hands every time you pass him in the halls, there was that time he pushed the button for your shield to open as you were walking through a door and you got stuck there, ooh, and that time he pushed you into a rocket locker and blasted you off of campus. Need I go on?"

"I didn't land too far from the school…"

Gohan's expression had changed from surprise to disgust. "Is this true? I can't believe I haven't noticed this yet. You know you can always come to us for help if he's bullying you like that, right?"

Pyrrha nodded her head in agreement. "You're right Gohan, you should know that we are all here for you Jaune. There is no shame in asking friends for assistance."

Nora jumped out of her seat and got wide eyes for a moment. "OOOOH! We'll break his legs!" She seemed to be bubbling with excitement simply at the thought of it, which worried Gohan slightly.

Jaune waved his hands in front of him defensively. "Guys really, it's fine! Besides, it's not like he's only a jerk to me, he's a jerk to everyone."

Almost exactly on cue, more laughter was heard from the side of the room that Jaune and Gohan had taken notice of before.

"Ow that hurts!" It seemed that the faunus girl was having to deal with that Winchester boy pulling on her ears for the entertainment of his friends. Gohan once again narrowed his eyes and almost let out a low growl. He hated bullies.

"Please, stop…" she practically begged him.

"I told you her ears were real." Cardin said to his green haired friend.

"What a freak!" He responded.

As the bullies continued to mess with the faunus girl, the others at the table had started to take notice. Pyrrha narrowed her eyes in disgust, similar to the look Gohan had on his face. "Atrocious. I can't stand people like him."

"He's not the only one." Blake stated in agreement.

Yang propped her elbow up on the table and put her head in her hand, with a look of sadness and pity on her face. "It must be hard to be a faunus…"

The young saiyan knew something had to be done about Winchester, but the question was whether or not he should be the one to step in. In truth, he was infuriated by Cardin's actions, but he didn't let it show. There was no point in getting overly angry at something that could be solved by a sensible discussion. This situation though, it was blatant racism along with bullying, and that was not something Gohan would sit by and watch happen.

"What you said about him being a jerk to everyone may be true Jaune, but that's certainly not a good reason to let him continue doing it. Speaking of which, excuse me for a moment. I need to have a talk with Cardin."

Gohan stood up from the table and walked over to where the bully was still harassing the rabbit faunus. "Excuse me, Cardin right? Look, I'm just going to make this really simple because I don't want to cause a huge scene or anything, but could you please let her go? It's obvious that she's incredibly uncomfortable right now, and I'm pretty sure it hurts her a good deal when you pull on her ears."

The brute seemed to take a moment to size the young warrior up, after which his expression turned to a supercilious smirk. "Who the hell are you? Get out of my face and run back to mommy kid, can't you tell I'm busy?" With that, he turned around and continued on with pulling the girl's ears and making fun of her.

Gohan sighed, he had hoped that the bully would see sense if he was simply confronted and reasoned with. However, it obviously seemed as if his small stature was causing Cardin not to take him seriously. He couldn't blame him really, he was certainly under aged and undersized for this grade level, along with the fact his uniform covered up his muscles. He decided to try again a little more sternly. Maybe he could at least get their attention off of the faunus girl and onto himself.

"Cardin, I said stop. Leave her alone, what you're doing isn't right. I'm not going to call a teacher or anything, I was hoping you'd be cool about this. Don't allow this to go any further, just leave her be."

The bully turned around to look at him again, eyes narrowing this time as if he was confused that Gohan was still there. "Look kid, your little goody two shoes crap ain't gonna work on me. I do what I want, when I want, and there's nothing you're gonna do to stop me. You're just a little half pint nobody, so go back to where you came from and stop bothering me."

Gohan laughed internally at being called a little half pint nobody. Evidently he hasn't heard about what I did to the Nevermore. He's just lucky it's not Vegeta in my place, otherwise he'd be a dead man right now. Oh well, I guess the third time might be the charm?

"Cardin, seriously I-" was all he had time to get out before the brute turned back around and peered down at Gohan with a venomous look on his face.

"Didn't your bitch of a mother ever tell you not to mess with guys like me? Maybe your dad did, oh wait, nevermind, he's probably a weak ass loser like yourself. Get lost before you get hurt…"

Gohan was speechless, as was the RWBY/JNPR table who had been listening in on the discussion and collectively gasped as soon as the words came out of his mouth. Cardin had already turned around to continue harassing the rabbit faunus, yet the young saiyan was still trying to process if the bully had really just said that.

When he finally came to the conclusion that it had in fact happened, he was livid. He spoke once more in a dangerously low tone to the Winchester boy. "You can make fun of me. Heck, you can even try to hurt me. But you do not insult my friends or my family like that. I am going to give you one last chance. Stop hurting her, now."

"And what if I don't little man, you gonna be a little bitch like your mother and call Ozpin on me? Or are you gonna try and make me, but lose anyway like your deadbeat dad?" At this point, Cardin let go of the girl and stood up from his seat, walking right in front of Gohan. The girl took her opportunity to leave, but not before giving a smile to the young saiyan and silently mouthing, "Thank you."

The cafeteria fell silent, all eyes turned towards them. Everyone could sense trouble brewing, especially the members of RWBY and JNPR who were about ready to jump up from their seats and walk over themselves. Before anyone could act though, Gohan responded to Cardin in a way that nobody expected.

"My father is more of a man than you'll ever be. At least he has the reproductive organs to prove it. I'm starting to doubt whether you do though, you're all bark and no bite so far." He said this with a smirk of challenge, as if daring the bully to do something about it.

The mouths of Ruby and Pyrrha hung open in shock, they'd never heard Gohan speak in such a way before. Yang on the other hand, was smiling like a proud mama bear, obviously happy that Cardin was being put in his place. Nora looked like she was ready to...well, start breaking legs, her eyes just as wild as they were before. Ren and Weiss simply continued to watch out of curiosity. Blake however, was showing an unusual amount of interest in watching the bully being given a taste of his own medicine. Her smirk almost matched that of Gohan, a rare sight indeed for the normally quiet and expressionless girl.

Meanwhile, the brute's facial expression was slowly turning to one of anger and disbelief as he realized he'd been insulted. "You sayin' I don't have the balls to fight you, shorty? Well, allow me to correct you!" With that, Cardin pulled his fist back and let a haymaker fly towards the young saiyan's face.

Exactly as Gohan had planned it.

To anyone watching, it would look like the bully had landed a solid hit on Gohan. In reality though, he'd simply let his face move in the direction of the punch, not bothering to hold it steady. Past that, he'd also increased the density of the ki running through his body around his face, right where Cardin's fist landed. His body was hard as a rock to begin with, but with the added layer of ki defense, it was enough to shatter quite a few bones in the boy's fist. The best part was that he'd done it to himself, Gohan didn't have to lift a finger. Serves him right, maybe he'll think twice next time before trying to hurt someone. Evidently though, since neither Cardin nor Gohan had yet moved, the young saiyan's friends were worried.

"Gohan! Are you okay!?" Pyrrha shouted as she rose from her seat.

Nora, Ren, and Jaune were up next, but said nothing. They simply waited to see what would happen next. Blake on the other hand, was ready to take action.

"I'm sick and tired of this guy! Come on, let's go teach him a lesson." Yang however, stopped her by grabbing her arm, causing the black haired girl to look down at her with an eyebrow raised in confusion. Her gaze moved from Yang, to Weiss, and finally to Ruby. Their reactions were widely varied.

Ruby was certainly riled up, Blake had never seen her stare daggers at someone like that before. It looked as if she were any more irritated, her eyes would light on fire and she would bring hell upon the Winchester boy. Yet she didn't say or do anything, she simply stared.

Yang had an expression of pity on her face as she gazed at the scene playing out before them. "Oh…that poor boy," she said with a tone that was dripping of sarcasm.

Weiss on the other hand, seemed to have no pity for the boy whatsoever. "Well, that's what you get when you try talking sense to a neanderthal. He should have expected it to happen."

Yang looked towards her, and for a moment seemed genuinely surprised that the girl hadn't caught her meaning. "No, I'm not talking about Gohan."

The heiress returned her look with one of confusion, but quickly that changed as she began to understand. "You...oh wait, he killed a Nevermore. Nevermind, Cardin is about to die. Good riddance." She went back to filing her nails and paid no more attention to the confrontation.

As all of this was going on, Cardin's facial expression was slowly morphing from pure confidence to pure pain, as his nerves finally delivered the message to his cranium that his hand was busted. The small amount of adrenaline the conflict had released in the boy's body could only hold off the pain for so long. And with that gone…

"AHHHHHHHHH! Damn it, that hurt! I think my hand is broken! What is your face made of 'ya little brat, pure metal!?"

"No, but that brings up another question. How much of a loser are you? Considering that you just broke your hand on the face of a 'little half-pint', I'd say you're the biggest one here. Want to try again, double or nothing?"

If the brute wasn't already enraged enough, that pushed him over the edge. He lunged at Gohan with his other hand, but the boy simply sidestepped his towering and sluggish body, leaving his leg behind which caused Cardin to trip and fall flat on his face.

"Oops, sorry about that one. Hey, you didn't break your face on that fall, did you? I know you're kind of fragile, you should be more careful!" At this point, Gohan was on a mission to destroy the bully's reputation. He couldn't try to physically hurt him, so he decided to do the next best thing: publically humiliate him so the boy could get a taste of his own medicine.

So far it looked like his plan was working. As soon as Cardin's face hit the floor, half the cafeteria was laughing their butts off, including Ruby. He looked over towards her and smiled, he always loved being able to make her laugh. At this point, both RWBY and JNPR had taken their seats again, and they were all looking on in amusement. It was Gohan's show now, and he planned to make the most of it.

Cardin slowly started to rise from the floor, a low and guttural grow escaping his throat. "You…" was all he said, but the message was clear. He wasn't about to walk away from this.

"Come on Cardin, maybe third time's the charm?" He said with a confident smirk. Right on cue, the lumbering buffoon charged him once more, to which Gohan dodged again in the fashion of a matador.

"Missed me." He said cheekily.

The cycle repeated itself again. "Not quite."

And again…"Not even close."

A dodge to the left. "Try again."

A dodge to the right. "Oooh, that one was a little warmer!"

The saiyan even went so far as to slide between his legs once. "Nope, now you're definitely getting colder."

Before finally letting a punch barely fly past his face, and laughing a bit to himself. "Ice cold now, you might as well be Weiss." That comment elicited a "Hey!" from the heiress, who up until this point had been the only one not dying from laughter around their table.

"Man, you should go to a casino sometime. They'd love you, you just don't know when to quit!" With that comment, the room burst out into hysterics once again. The fun didn't last for much longer though, as the doors of the cafeteria opened to reveal Professor Port.

He eyed the scene sternly, before speaking in his boisterous tone. "Young lads! What is the meaning of this? I heard that someone has started a fight, this kind of behavior will not be tolerated. Winchester, Son, come with me this instant."

Ruby stood up from her seat almost instantly. "Wait Professor, Gohan didn't do anything wrong! Cardin was the one who started it by picking on that girl, Gohan hasn't thrown a single punch! All he's done is dodge, he even let Cardin hit him once!"

From her side, Yang snickered. "Way to stand up for your boyfriend little sis."

The crimsonette immediately blushed and whispered back. "Yang, not now!"

Port turned to look at Ruby and gave a small smile. "That may be true Miss Rose, however that does not excuse Gohan until the faculty gathers all of the facts. I assure you that if there was no wrongdoing on his part, he will not be punished. Now, come along you two."

Cardin started to walk out with the Professor, but Gohan stopped and turned back to the hooded girl for a moment. "Hey, it's alright Ruby. I'll be back before you know it, don't worry. Thanks for standing up for me though." He gave her a little wink and a thumbs up, before turning and following the other two out of the cafeteria.

As her blush deepened, Ruby was pretty sure her heart was about to explode from beating too fast. Oh...wow did he look dreamy. And the way he stood up for that girl, humiliated Cardin, and made everyone laugh all in one. What a guy…

"Hellooooo, Remnant to Ruby? You there sis?" Yang continued to wave her hand across the crimsonette's face, but got no response. The young girl was lost in a daydream, likely about her incredibly obvious crush.

No...no...this can't be happening. Paragus panicked. I didn't give him access to that level of power...how did he go Super Saiyan?! The elder saiyan tried using the device on his hand to lower Broly's power level, but nothing seemed to happen. Now the machine is malfunctioning?! At a time like this?! I'm lucky Kakarot thinks that was Broly's first transformation...but if he gets any stronger my plan will fall apart!

"Alright then, Broly. Congrats on transforming." Goku smiled. "...but now I have to take things to the next level!" Instantly, Goku's hair spiked up and turned golden, revealing him as a Super Saiyan once more. "Let's see how strong you've gotten!"

Broly was laughing. So this is what Super Saiyan feels like?! He wondered. It seems...familiar. Like I've done this before. Oh, what does it matter! With this power I can destroy Kakarot!

"HERE I COME!" He shouted, still laughing maniacally. In a flash, the new Super Saiyan was off the ground, flying at max speed toward Son Goku with his arm pulled back. Goku prepared to block a punch, but realized he made a mistake when he saw the green glow Broly's fist was emitting. Paragus' son stopped directly in front of Goku and threw his arm at the hero, allowing the plasma beam he had been charging to fire point blank at his opponent.

The attack connected as intended, and Goku was sent flying with the blast several feet, until the plasma blast hit the ground and exploded leaving another one of many craters that the fight had created so far. Quickly, Goku sprung to his feet and rubbed his wounds. "Well, I guess that answers that…" He chuckled. "This is gonna be fun!"

Broly paid no mind to Goku's words, instead charging after him to close the gap between them. Goku went into his fighting stance once more, making sure he'd be ready for anything the new Super Saiyan could try. He anticipated a punch, and this time he was right. He dodged to the right and counted Broly's attack with a kick to the back of his head. When he tried to turn around, Goku nailed him in the chin with a devastating uppercut. The son of Paragus flipped in the air a few times, until he managed to regain his bearings and prevent his ascent. Broly watched as Goku flew over to him in hopes of following up his attack, with the new Super Saiyan ready to counter. Broly quickly lifted his arm and slammed it down onto Goku's chest, countering the hero of Earth's charge with a clothesline.

Goku landed on the floor with his hands, pushing off of the ground to backflip onto his feet. Instantly, the saiyan launched a barrage of ki blasts from his hands, all of which Broly deflected with ease while dashing after his opponent for another clothesline, which Goku swiftly ducked under. Goku attempted to take advantage of his momentary advantage with a right hook, but Broly caught his hand and punched him in the gut hard enough to launch him backwards. The man in the orange gi stuck his fingers in the ground to stop his flight. Once he landed, he bent down and got into a typical ready position for a jogger or track racer. He stayed that way for a moment, confusing Broly. The new Super Saiyan stood still for a minute, before deciding to just charge his enemy once more.

Goku watched as Broly flew towards him, looking for an opening. If I try to face him head on, I don't think I stand a chance! I've got to find some sort of weak point in his attack strategy, and hit him then.

Goku stayed still and continued watching the son of Paragus, until he noticed that Broly was getting cocky, and lowered his defenses to use more of his power. "NOW!" He shouted, flying after Broly. Before his opponent could realize what was happening, Goku's foot had smacked him in the face. The hero of Earth continued to throw kicks into Broly's face, until he saw that the Super Saiyan was dazed enough for him to go for a more head on attack, with a punch to the gut. When Broly kneeled over in pain and recoil, Goku took to the skies and cupped his hands, a familiar blue blast charging in between them. In no time at all, the blast had finished charging, and Goku threw it downwards at Broly with a bellow of, "Kamehameha!". The new Super Saiyan could do nothing more than watch as the beam of energy engulfed him and combusted upon contact with the ground.

The resulting explosion was almost beautiful in it's intensity. It was incredibly bright, almost blinding, and the size of it was jaw dropping. When the sight finally faded away, Broly laid, back in his base form, unconscious at the bottom of one of the largest craters Goku had even seen, much less produced. The saiyan from earth rubbed the sweat from his forehead, and returned to his base state to save on energy. He let himself float back onto the rocky ground, sitting on top of it with a satisfied and exhausted look on his face.

"Jeez...he's a pretty stubborn one." Goku commented. "Though he was a really fun challenge to take on. I bet you're pretty proud of him, eh Paragus?"

Goku turned over to his former opponent's father, who stood in awe at the display he had achieved. It took the eldest saiyan a moment to process the question Goku had asked him, and when it did he took another moment to regain his composure and answer. "Y-yes, of course." He smiled, still shaking. "I am incredibly proud. My own son, a Super Saiyan! U-unthinkable."

Goku was glad to see Paragus in what appeared to him as a good mood, but realized he might be worried about Broly. "Don't worry." He reassured. "He's just out cold. He'll wake up in a little bit."

"R-right." Paragus quickly replied.

"Alright then!" Goku sprung to his feet and leaped into the crater, putting the unconscious Broly over his shoulder and flying in the direction the three saiyans had left from. "Let's head back to the palace. Do you mind if we rest there? I'm exhausted!"

"Not...not at all." Paragus shakily allowed, slowly flying to catch up to the two Super Saiyans.

"Yang, are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Trust me, little sis, I know what I'm doing."

"Do you? Do you really?"

Yang narrowed her eyes in challenge. "Yes."

The two sisters were hiding behind a building in one of many alleyways in Vale. Across the street from them were a variety of shops. Some were clothing stores, others were electronic stations. What wasn't there though, was a restaurant known as "The Lotus". That imaginary restaurant was the whole reason for the two sisters being there in the first place.

"Are you even sure he'll fall for it?" Ruby wondered. "He has our scroll IDs."

Yang gave a mischievous smile. "I know, which is why I did this little trick I found online. It hides the number of the message sender, just like typical business emails. Just took a little exploiting of the system."

"Oh." Ruby frowned. "Well...y'know...maybe we don't have to do this. I should go find him and…"

"Don't be silly, Rubes." Yang interrupted. "This is perfect! By the time this is over with, Gohan'll be all over you! I guarantee it."

"If you say so...and please don't talk like that in public! People'll hear!" Ruby pouted. "...anyway, I just...I've got a bad feeling in my stomach."

"Those are butterflies." Yang helped. "And don't worry, that's normal. It's a good thing."

"Yeah...the burning pain in my chest is a good thing." Ruby rolled her eyes. "Of course."

"Oh don't be so negative." Yang chuckled, messing with her sister's hair. "I know how relationships work. This kinda stuff happens all the time. Have a little faith in your big sister, alright?"

Ruby sighed. "I'm trying." She replied. "It's just that I get the feeling that you never had to-"

"SSSH!" The blind hushed, putting a finger to Ruby's mouth. "He's coming!"

"Eep!" The crimsonette squeaked, fulling hiding herself behind the building. Yang followed suit, only leaving enough space that she could observe the boy without being noticed.

In an almost literal flash, Gohan appeared in Yang's view, his scroll given to him by the Beacon staff in hand. Gohan had told everyone earlier in the day that, thanks to a few eye witnesses, he had walked off scot free while Cardin, unfortunately, only ended up with a day of detention, hardly an appropriate punishment for everything the bully had done. Still, he was pretty humiliated during lunch, so it'll do.

There was no time to dwell on that though, and any anger Gohan still held at Cardin instantly faded away when he checked his messages on his scroll and found he'd managed to earn a free meal at "The Lotus" all you can eat buffet. The energy Gohan expelled required a lot of nutrients to keep him going, so he typically need a lot of food. Since Gohan didn't have any lien of his own, he was stuck with the food the school provided with him...which was less than filing for a growing saiyan boy.

Almost immediately after he saw the prize, he raced out of Beacon and to the address included in the message. However, when he finally arrived at the location he grew increasingly confused. There wasn't even a restaurant on this block. He whipped out his scroll again and checked the address.

"Yep...this is the right place…" He noted. "...but it's not here. Maybe it was a typing error?"

He stumbled across the block a few times looking for the restaurant, but he didn't seem to have any luck. The only restaurants that were around were blocks away, and none of them shared the name of the place in his message.

"Hey Gohan!" An upbeat voice cried out. Gohan turned around to see Yang walking toward him, dragging Ruby along with her. He smiled when he saw them.

"Hey guys, what's up!" He greeted. "Do you know where this restaurant called the 'Lotus' is? I can't seem to find it anywhere."

Ruby froze up. "I...uh...never heard of it. It doesn't sound like it's from around here." She replied, sounding like she was reciting a script.

Yang snickered. "Yeah, I've never heard of it."

Gohan looked surprised and disappointed. "Wait, seriously? You've got to be kidding me!"

It was taking everything Yang had not to burst out laughing right now, and even Ruby had to admit that Gohan's reaction was a little humorous, but she still didn't get how it would get him to, in Yang's words, "Notice her".

The young saiyan looked like a sad puppy, and it was the first time the two sisters had seen him pout about anything. To see the super powered alien they called a friend look so sad and desperate might have worried them in different circumstances, but here it was just so odd it became funny.

"Wait, no that can't be right!" Gohan realized, his sad dejected frown turning into a smirk. "I got a message about getting a free meal at that place's buffet, so it has to be around here! It's probably just new!"

Yang, again, had to keep herself from laughing. "Alright then, go ahead and look around town for it. We'll stay here and hang out." The blond nudged Ruby in the rib.

"Uh, yeah! S-see you later Gohan!" She stumbled over her words.

"Alright, be back in a bit!" Gohan waved goodbye as he ran in the direction opposite the two sisters, intent on find the restaurant that didn't exist. Yang and Ruby just looked on for a moment until Gohan was out of sight, not moving a muscle.

Once the coast was clear, Ruby sighed in relief. Yang, however, burst out laughing, pleased with how well the prank had worked. "Did you see his face?!" She chuckled. "He looked so sad!"

Ruby put her hands on her hips. "Well yeah...but Yang...isn't this kinda mean? He looked really disappointed."

"Ooooh my goooosh!" Yang threw her hands in the air, a little frustrated that her little sister wasn't getting it. "It's a joke. Once he figures it out he'll find it funny too. It's all in good fun."

Ruby shrugged. "I guess so. I still don't understand how that helps me though."

Yang wrapped her arm around the crimsonette. "I told you earlier, don't worry about it. He will definitely notice you after this one little sis."

Ruby's eyes narrowed. "...but how?"

Yang chuckled. "It's hard to explain. Something something hormones, It just works, trust me."

Ruby sighed once more. "Alright then. I hope you're right…"

They took a seat on the sidewalk and continued waiting. They wordlessly elected to move the conversation from Gohan to school, which was a topic with more enough to discuss until their spiky haired friend made it back to their location. Just when the two sisters were starting to run out of material, they spotted Gohan, looking dejected, walking across the sidewalk.

"No luck?" Yang asked.

"None." He sighed sadly. "It just doesn't make any sense. If it's not around here, then who sent the message?"

Yang snickered again. "I did."

For a moment, there was total silence.

Then there wasn't. "You what?"

"I sent the-"

"I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID!" Gohan shouted. "I don't think you understand how much of a big deal food is to me. I have been starving since I got here because I can't get enough nutrients into my system!"

"What's your point?" Yang shrugged.

"YOU JUST PRESENTED A STARVING MAN WITH FOOD AND PULLED IT AWAY FROM HIM!" Gohan answered, waving his arms in frustration. "THAT IS ACTUALLY EVIL!"

Evil? Ruby gasped. Gohan didn't really mean that, right? He's just using that word where you make a big deal of something that's not...hyper...hole or something? The crimsonette shook her head. It doesn't matter what the word is! I just hope he's...exaggerating, that's it! I just hope he's exaggerating for effect...I better tell him now.

"Uh...Gohan…" Ruby stared at the floor and shuffled her feet. "I was...kinda in on it too…"

Gohan's anger ceased immediately. He looked at the worried girl, and actually let out a chuckle. "Oh, you too?" He smiled. "Well...I guess now that I think about it a little more, it was pretty funny."

"Oh come on!" Yang yelled. "I get a whole lecture, but she gets a free pass?"

Gohan narrowed his eyes and faced Yang once more. "Yeah, 'cause I bet you put her up to it, right?!"

"That's not technically inaccurate…" The blond mumbled in response, before taking her wallet out. "Here, if it's that big of a deal, I'll actually get you a free dinner. In the sense that I'll pay for it. You and Rubes probably deserve it for making it into Beacon anyway."

"Huh?" Ruby blinked.

Yang leaned over to her with a smirk on her face. "You're welcome." She whispered, causing the poor girl to blush, embarrassed.

Gohan suddenly got a big smirk on his face. "You're going to pay?" He asked, a mischievous tone in his voice.

Yang took the tone of voice as a challenge. "Of course. I've got plenty of money. Enough to fill you two up three times over, I'd bet."

Gohan crossed his arms, still smirking. "I doubt you have enough to fill me, much less the two of us."

Yang put her hands on her hips. "Is that a challenge?" She questioned playfully.

Gohan nodded. "Certainly."

"Well, as much as I'd like to meet that challenge now, you're misunderstanding what I meant." She grinned mischievously. "See, it'll only be you and Ruby at dinner, I have other stuff to do. I'll drop you two off there and come back to pick you up when you're done. Now, follow me!"

Yang suddenly ran off, leaving Gohan and Ruby alone on the sidewalk. The crimsonette just stared blankly at the spot her sister has just been in, not entirely able to process what she'd just said. Dinner...alone...Gohan...oh no...

"Come on, Ruby!" Gohan reminded her, a smirk clear on his face. "We've got some free food to eat!"

Yang had led the pair of young warriors into a nearby restaurant called "Laguna Bar and Grille", which was supposedly a relatively high end chain establishment that sold enough different types of food to satisfy both Ruby and Gohan's tastes. Well, realistically only Ruby's, because the saiyan was so hungry at this point that he'd say yes to practically anything.

"We'll have a table for two please, seat these two little guys and put their meal on my tab." After Yang had addressed the hostess, she turned to the now thoroughly excited Gohan and thoroughly terrified Ruby.

She put a hand on her sister's head and ruffled her hair, then leaned down and whispered into her ear. "Remember, after this, he'll be all over you." She pulled back and gave Ruby a wink. "Alright you two, message me once you're close to being done and I'll come back to pick you up. Have fun!"

With that, the blonde walked out the door, leaving Ruby and Gohan with the hostess. "And then there were two," the young saiyan joked with a smile to the crimsonette, who only blushed and gave a small smile and nod in return.

"Shall I take you to your seats now?" The hostess asked, now having grabbed the menus and marked down where they would be sitting.

"Sure, thank you!" Gohan responded, and so the two Beacon Academy students were on their way to their first dinner alone together. Of course, the saiyan was oblivious to the implications of this, but the young girl on the other hand was completely aware of what her sister had done. She'd set all of this up in advance, without Ruby's knowledge. Yang had probably known that Gohan would be mad about not getting his food, and she'd known that it would be a perfect opportunity to get the two alone time. That was not exactly what Ruby had meant when she'd asked to get Gohan to notice her, but she'd take it nonetheless. Spending time with him couldn't possibly hurt, could it?

Well, unless she did something awkward or stupid and blew it, but that was beside the point.

It seemed to her that Gohan wasn't uncomfortable in the least. Which brought many new questions to her mind. Was he nervous too but could hide it better than her? Did he even realize what this dinner was supposed to mean? Did he even have feelings for her? Oh god, DOES he have feelings for me? What if he doesn't have feelings for me? I mean, he saved me from the Nevermore right? But anyone would do that. He's always really nice to me, right? But he's nice to pretty much everyone. Well, except Cardin. THAT'S NOT THE POINT, GET WITH THE PROGRAM BRAIN! Oh no oh no oh no oh no what if I say something too soon and mess it up oh god YANG WHY DID YOU THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA I WILL MURD-

"Ruby! Are you ok?"

The crimsonette looked up from the ground and realized that she was standing in front of the table, with both the hostess and Gohan waiting for her to sit down. Her face turned the deepest shade of red that it had been all night, and she took her seat quickly. "Sorry Gohan, I uhhh...got a little distracted for a second."

Her crush gave her a heart melting smile. "That's okay Ruby, I just was worried something was wrong." He then turned to the hostess and thanked her, and as the lady walked away the two young warriors were finally truly alone. They'd been seated in the back corner of the restaurant, with almost nobody else seated in their immediate vicinity. It gave them a small sense of privacy, which Ruby was very thankful for at the moment. At least nobody else would hear her turn into a bumbling idiot as this angel of a boy made her knees weak at every turn.

Thankfully, Gohan would be the first to speak. "So, I know I'm in all of your classes so I have a general idea of what you'll say, but how has school been so far for you? We're both kind of in odd situations compared to everyone else, you being moved up two years and me being, well, not from around here…"

The crimsonette let go of a breath that she hadn't realized she'd been holding in, and smiled at the boy before responding. "Well, to be honest the start was kind of cruddy. You know how my first few days went, between my first day sucking, my problems with Weiss from day one, and adjusting to school in general. But now I'm doing much better, I love my classes, although Port and Oobleck can be a bore at times. I have a lot more friends thanks to you, Yang, and Jaune. Everything seems to be going better with Weiss. So things are looking up. What about you, are you doing okay?"

"You know, I think I'm really starting to enjoy myself here. The situation that I came to Remnant under wasn't the best, and while I'm still worried about my family and friends, I have total confidence that my dad was able to win and that they're all safe. School was a bit of an adjustment at first, I don't know if I told you this, but I've never actually been to a real school before. All of my education has been from homeschooling, so this is totally new for me. I really like it though, I finally have friends to hang out with that aren't twenty to thirty years my senior. I haven't thanked you and your family enough for taking me in when you did, I really do appreciate it."

"Oh please, it was nothing. We were happy to help you, it's not like we were going to just leave you alone out there." Ruby blushed a little bit as she thought of the moment they'd first found Gohan. He'd been lying motionless on the ground, and the crimsonette had thought it would be an excellent idea to poke him with a stick to see if he was alive. Of course, a few minutes after that he'd woken up and the rest was history.

As she finished her thoughts, a waitress came up to their table. "Hi there, welcome to the Laguna Bar and Grille! My name is Jenny and I'll be waiting on you tonight, can I start you off with something to drink?"

Gohan thought about it for a moment, then turned to Ruby. "I actually know what I want for food as well, are you ready to order yet?"

This confused the Remnan girl, but luckily for her she had already picked out what she wanted. How can he possibly know what he wants to eat? He hasn't even picked up the menu yet!

"I sure am Gohan, I guess we can start then." She turned to the waitress. "Is that alright with you ma'am?"

The waitress smiled. "Of course, that's perfectly fine. Which one of you would like to start?"

Gohan nodded to Ruby, and gave a little half smile. "Ladies first, you're up Ruby."

The girl nodded and looked down at the menu once more to ensure she had her order correct. "I'll have a bacon cheeseburger cooked medium rare, a side of fries, and for a drink I'll have a glass of milk."

"Certainly miss, and what can I get for you sir?"

"Oh, I'll have one of everything please. Also, you might as well bring a few pitchers of water over so you don't have to go running back and forth, I can refill my own."

Both the waitress and Ruby stared at him with low hanging jaws and wide open eyes. It took a moment for the saiyan to realize why they were staring at him so oddly, but then he realized the magnitude of the order he'd just placed. He rubbed the back of his neck and gave a nervous grin to the waitress in an apologetic manner.

"...Certainly sir...we'll uhhh...we'll have that out for you when it's ready." She looked as though she wanted to say more, but instead turned around and walked hurriedly back to the kitchen. There was a large order to place after all, they'd need all hands on deck.

Meanwhile, Ruby still had the same expression of shock and awe on her face. As Gohan turned to look at her with that same nervous grin though, she forgot about why she was shocked for a moment and could only focus on his handsome features.

"Sooooo...I guess I probably should have warned you guys about my saiyan appetite. Seriously, I don't know how I glossed over that when I told you about us."

"You mean to tell me you eat this much normally!?" Ruby blinked. "Not only that, but you've been surviving on the amount of food the school has been giving you all this time!? How are you still functioning?"

The warrior gave another nervous chuckle. "Well yeah, we saiyans have a really big appetite. Something about our bodies expending a lot more energy than other races, and we need more food to compensate for it. I think I've been fine so far since I haven't really been fighting or doing too much strenuous stuff since I got here, whereas back on Earth I was training nearly every day."

Ruby sighed deeply. "Well I guess that makes sense, and you can't tell the school about your appetite without having to explain why you need so much food. That really sucks, I'm glad we're paying for you to have this dinner then. You must really need it!"

"That's for sure, I've been pretty hungry ever since I got here. Anyway, it's probably going to be a long while before the food comes out, my bad. What do you want to talk about while we wait?"

She took a moment to think about it, but nothing came to mind immediately. Ruby had never been too good in conversations like these, and tonight was no different. It was honestly a miracle that she hadn't messed up once so far. What's something that I can ask Gohan about that he hasn't already told me yet...difficult question since he's basically told me his life story already. Well, he's told me the general story, but I still don't know too much about his family.

"Do you have any siblings?"

"Nope, just me. I'm pretty sure my mom wants another baby though, just don't know if it'll happen." The saiyan finished that conversation topic off quickly, much to Ruby's chagrin.

"Uhhh, what about friends? Outside of here, I mean."

"Well, I think I might have told you about some of them. Pretty much all of the friends I have back home are really just my dad's friends, I've met everyone I know through him. Bulma is the first person he ever met, besides my great grandfather Gohan who I'm named after. She's a genius scientist and is the richest woman in the world, they originally met when she was out looking for the Dragon Balls. Then there's Krillin, who used to be my dad's biggest rival, but has been his best friend for most of his life. Yamcha, who was originally a desert bandit, tried to attack my dad when they first met, but like Krillin they've been friends for years. Tien and Piccolo were the same deal, both former enemies and became friends later on. Vegeta...this is becoming a trend isn't it. Man, my dad really likes to make friends with people he fights against!"

Ruby started laughing as the young saiyan came to realize the beginnings of most of his father's friendships. Speaking of which… "Hey Gohan, what about your parents? I know your dad is an awesome fighter like you, but you haven't told me much about him past that. For that matter, I don't even know anything about your mom."

The warrior smiled warmly as he thought of the perfect way to describe his father. "He's the greatest man I've ever known, and I'm not just saying that because he's my dad. He's incredibly kind and gentle, an odd set of descriptions for one of the universe's strongest warriors, but that's just how he is. He never fights out of malice or ill intentions, only to push his limits and defend his family. Whenever he's around, it just feels like everything is going to be okay, like nothing could possibly go wrong. He lights up a room, makes everyone laugh and feel happy. He can be a bit silly at times, but it only makes everyone love him more. Come to think about it, you're a lot like him!"

Ruby blushed deeply at the compliment. "Th-thank you Gohan, that's very kind of you. Do you really think of me that way?"

"Of course! You're incredibly kind to everyone, you're one of the nicest people I know. You always look to find the best in people, and that's a trait I really admire about you. You're incredibly funny, whether you mean to be or not, you have the same effect as my father in that way. It's why I love being around you so much." Almost immediately after Gohan finished talking, his eyes widened as if he'd only just realized what he said. His face quickly shifted back to neutral, but Ruby could see the beginnings of a blush forming on his cheeks.

He's blushing! Oh my god he's blushing! Yes! Maybe he does have feelings for me too! HOPE IS STILL ALIVE BABY!

After her little mini celebration inside her head, she moved on to the second part of her question. "Well, now I know about your father. What about your mother? I think I've only heard you mention her once."

"Ahhh, my mother. She's kind and caring like my father, but she can be a bit crazy at times when it comes to my education and well-being. It's funny, she used to be a martial artist herself, it's how my father and her got married, yet she doesn't like it at all when I fight. Anyways, like I said she's crazy about my education. She wants me to grow up to be a successful scholar and make a lot of money. I love studying, but I'm not sure yet if that's what I want to do for the rest of my life. She kind of shoves it down my throat so it's nice when I get to train with my dad, but I know she does it because she loves me. Speaking of which, I've already met your dad, but I never saw your mom while I was at your house. What's she like?"

Ruby realized her mistake immediately. STUPID STUPID STUPID, YOU JUST HAD TO BRING UP PARENTS DIDN'T YOU? GREAT, THIS CONVERSATION TOPIC IS GOING TO GO OVER SO WELL. Ugh, I guess I'd have to say this anyway at some point. This is going to be painfully awkward, and it isn't even his fault. Now I just feel bad...oh well, time to get it over with.

"Uhhh...see about that. Gohan, my uhh...my mom died a long time ago. I don't remember much, other than that she was sweet, kind, caring, and made the best cookies ever." As soon as she said this, the saiyan's face turned white, then quickly filled up with red as he realized the foolishness of his question.

"Ruby I'm so sorry! I...I didn't mean to bring something like that up!" Gohan abruptly stood from his seat and bowed deeply to the crimsonette. "Please forgive my foolishness."

She blinked twice. The boy was still bowing to her, as if he would only raise his head once he had been forgiven. Maybe he thinks I'm mad at him for bringing it up? But how could I ever be mad at a guy like this, everything he does is just so darn funny and cute! I mean, he's bowing to me! Who does that!?

With that, she began to laugh, softly at first, but quickly raising in volume as she couldn't hold it in anymore. As she took a peek at Gohan, he was still bowing to her, but was also looking up with an idea expression of pure confusion. "Ruby? Are...are you okay?"

The girl let her laughter fade out, and gave a bright smile to the saiyan. "I'm fine, it's my fault for bringing parents up anyway, I should have known it would lead to that. That's not why I'm laughing though, you just look so funny and cute when you're talking so seriously and bowing like that!"

Wait...what did I just say?

As the crimsonette realized the words that had just come out of her mouth, Gohan came to the same conclusion. Their cheeks both lit up bright red at exactly the same time, and the saiyan sat back down. "T-thank you Ruby. Sorry again."

"N-no problem Gohan…"

And then there was silence. Neither of them really knew what to say after that, as neither of them had been in a situation like this before.

The young girl sighed once again. Great job Ruby, now you can't even talk to each other. Everything was going so well too. At least he's just as nervous as me though. She smiled to herself at the thought of that small victory, and with that, they waited in silence until the meal came.

Vegeta was enjoying himself quite a bit. After so long, he finally felt like the Prince of the Saiyan Race. This palace was extraordinary, a little rough around the edges, but that was perfectly acceptable after so long of being treated like trash. Even the three years he had spent freed from Freeza's rule did little but make him feel like common folk. This, however, made him feel like the royalty he truly was.

"Father!" A voice cried out, echoing on the palace walls. Vegeta smirked, he thought Trunks had been gone for too long.

"There you are." Vegeta turned around to greet his child, who had just entered the hallway the prince was traversing. "I see you grew bored of sightseeing."

Trunks sighed. "It wasn't 'sightseeing'. Something's seriously wrong here, and I was trying to figure out what it is!"

"The only thing that's wrong here is how ruined the planet is." Vegeta grumbled. "Disgraceful, but I understand it."

"Well, you're right, but not in the way you think." Trunks shook his head. "I just talked to Paragus' workforce, though their more slaves than workers. Turns out this planet isn't habitable at all!"

"Oh really?" Vegeta narrowed his eyes. "And who told you that? His good for nothing construction crew?"

"Are you claiming they're lying?" Trunks grew frustrated. "Come on, you can't be that self-absorbed! Something isn't right here, I know you know that!"

"Of course something's wrong here." Vegeta growled. "A bunch of whiners who make up stories so they don't have to do their job."

"So now we're blaming the slaves?!" Trunks shouted back. He was already sick of his father's attitude, and this was just one of many times the prince showed his true colors. "You haven't seen their sorry states and you're already writing them off as liars!"

Vegeta grunted, quickly growing sick of the conversation. "Paragus told us that the planet would suit our needs. I see no reason not to trust him."

"No reason?!" Trunks clenched his fist. "Just think about it for a few seconds! A pure blooded saiyan just randomly pops up on Earth one day and says he's found a new Planet Vegeta, and that he's running from a previously unheard of Super Saiyan! Then when we get to the planet it looks more like an asteroid than anywhere someone could actually live, but the saiyan promises that he's 'working on it', when the very people building the cities there indicate otherwise! None of that seems strange to you? We don't even know how the two of them survived yet, but you're willing to trust them completely because they're the only ones who actually care about your stupid title!"

Something in Vegeta snapped, and his response came in the form of a shout that could be heard across the heavens. "OR MAYBE I JUST WANT TO BELIEVE THAT I CAN HAVE MY DAMN HOME BACK!"

The room suddenly grew silent, giving both father and son a moment to take in the words uttered. Trunks stood there, shocked that his father would say such a thing. In reality, he really shouldn't have been. This was the kind of person he'd imagined Vegeta would be, the way Bulma talked about him. However, to see him openly admit to caring about anything but himself, even if it wasn't technically a living being, seemed odd when compared to the way the saiyan Prince had acted beforehand. Perhaps he had a heart after all.

While Trunks felt some sort of pride for his father, Vegeta felt the exact opposite. He felt ashamed, for several reasons. The first, and the one he told himself was the main reason was that he had openly admitted that he actually cared about anything. The saiyan prince had been taught that to care for anything but yourself was nothing more than a burden, a sign of weakness. Sure, he had always felt sorry for the loss of his planet, as well as his family, but he never admitted it to anyone, not even his fellow saiyans Nappa and Raditz.

The other reason, which he didn't want to admit even to himself, was that he actually felt...bad. Only a few years ago, he would have shouted at anyone, including his own family, without a hint of guilt. Heck, if one were to go back a couple more years, he'd kill them himself with a smile on his face if they were a hinder to him. Now though, he only had to say a few words loudly and he grew ashamed of himself. Dammit Kakarot...this is your fault. You're making me soft…

"Father...I…I'm sorry." Trunks finally apologized. "I-I didn't realize."

"There's no need, boy." Vegeta waved off. "Even if you knew you wouldn't understand. You, Kakarot's son, and even Kakarot himself never lived on the planet. They don't know what we've lost. I, however, spent my childhood on that planet. Then it was destroyed, and I was stuck under Freeza's rule."

Trunks didn't quite know what to do. Should he...try and comfort his father? He doubted Vegeta would allow him to do so without getting punched in the wall, but he felt he need to do something. "I…" He began, but Vegeta cut him off.

"Save your breath." He told his child. "I don't need your pity. Freeza is dead, regardless if this New Vegeta comes to be. The saiyans were avenged, and not even just by Kakarot. By my own son."

Trunks watched, confused but touched as his father put his hand on his shoulder, a smile of pride on his face. Trunks couldn't help but smile back. It seemed that, despite what he had shown prior, he had earned his father's respect.

"Oh, you're back, Hi Trunks!" A carefree voice echoed across the halls. The prince and his son turned their heads in the direction of the voice and found Goku, bruises all over his body, and Paragus walking in the hallway.

"I see you have returned, Prince Trunks." Paragus greeted. Trunks responded by simply staring the elder saiyan down.

"Would you like to explain why you have an entire army of slaves on the other side of the planet?" The purple haired saiyan demanded.

Paragus blinked. He's starting to catch on...I need to keep him busy until the comet arrives.

"I...I'm sorry." The eldest saiyan explained, quickly getting down on his knees and bowing. Trunks wasn't entirely sure how to take this. He was expecting some sort of confrontation, not for Paragus to just immediately break down. "We just didn't have the manpower to build the civilization on this planet, we had to take desperate measures! I swear if we saw a better solution we'd take it."

This is mocking my pride...but I don't have a choice. I need to get all of their trust. If even a single one suspects everything could fall apart.

Trunks stammered, trying to figure out how to respond. "I…"

"Trust me, Prince Trunks, I will do my best to provide the best environment for the Shamoians as soon as I can."

"I...uh, don't really know what you guys are talking about." Goku joined in, incredibly confused. "...but I'm sure we can find a way to help out, right Trunks?"

Trunks looked at Goku, smiling a small bit. "That's actually a good idea, since we have plenty of resources on Earth to lend out. First things first though." Trunks turned his attention back to Paragus, his frown returning. "If you really need a work force than you need to actually pay them in some fashion. Start giving them more food from your storage, I know you have plenty. Do everything you can to make them want to work for you, instead of making them slaves. Got it?"

Vegeta grunted. He didn't really care about the slave situation one way or the other. Trunks' way would possibly make the construction of New Planet Vegeta take longer, but the prince had waited decades to see his home rebuilt. He could spare a few more years.

"Y-yes sire!" Paragus bowed once more, before hopping to his feet. "...now, with that settled, should I point you all towards the sleeping chambers?"

Almost on cue, Goku gave out a long and loud yawn. "Yyyyyeaah! I'm exhausted. Chi-Chi'll probably be confused why I'm not back yet, so I should probably try and teleport back to Earth and explain the situation to her. She won't like it...especially the part about Gohan...but she deserves to know."

Paragus didn't know who this "Gohan" was, but that was the absolute least important of his questions. "Teleport?!" He shouted, bewildered. "You can...teleport?!"

"Uh, yeah, I learned it from the Yardrats." Goku said simply. "I couldn't use it to get here cause I didn't know where it was, but I should be able to sense Earth from here if I try hard enough."

Paragus didn't even try to respond to that explanation.

"Well anyway…" Trunks tried to return the conversation to it's original topic. "I think after everything we've done today, we could all use a little rest."

"Well, Kakarot does anyway." Vegeta chuckled. "Look at those bruises, did the non-warrior really give you that much of a hard time, clown?"

"Well not at first, but then he went Super Saiyan." Goku explained, laughing as he remembered just how good of a fight Broly gave him.

"Super Saiyan?!" Vegeta suddenly shouted, not being able to understand how someone like Broly could have achieved the legendary transformation.

"Yep! I threw a Kamehameha at him, and he was having trouble pushing it back. Then he turned Super Saiyan for the first time and blasted it away like it was nothing!"

Another one!? Vegeta couldn't comprehend it. That makes five, six including this 'Legendary Super Saiyan' Paragus is talking about...what is this, some sort of Super Saiyan Bargain Sale?!

"So, father? Are we going to bed or not?" Trunks wondered.

Vegeta crossed his arms. "I suppose we can, if you and the clown are tired. I've already explored every inch of my palace, so aside from train more, something I can't do well without either you or Kakarot to spar with, I have nothing to do."

"Perfect." Paragus announced. "Please, follow me."

Paragus walked in the opposite direction of the hallway, and the three Super Saiyans followed, ready for a good night sleep. All except Goku, who was dreading giving the news to Chi-Chi.

I...I don't know whether this is cute or disgusting. I'm leaning towards the latter though…

Gohan and Ruby had finally gotten their food a few minutes ago, via every member of the wait staff for the entire restaurant bringing it out and filling the multiple empty tables around them with it. Currently, the young saiyan was devouring every last bit of it at an incomprehensible rate. The crimsonette hadn't even touched her own food yet, she was simply mesmerized by the sight of Gohan's eating habits.

Maybe he isn't always like this, he did say he was really hungry, right? Well, he's already halfway done with his food, I guess I should start on my own.

They ate in silence, mostly because Gohan was consuming his meal so quickly there was no room for conversation. After about 15 minutes more, they were both finished. The tables surrounding them were stacked high with plates, truly a sight to behold. Ruby almost couldn't believe that it had all been eaten by one person, much less the young boy in front of her.

Gohan gave a loud sigh and stretched his arms above his head. "Ahhh that was amazing! I'll have to thank Yang when she gets here, that meal really filled me up! Speaking of which, do you want to message her now or wait a little while?"

Wait...a while? Won't that be really awkward though? I mean considering how we left things before the food came, we weren't even able to speak to each other. Maybe he's over it, but I'm not...I'm just so nervous! Should I stay and try talking to him again, or leave and lose our time together alone?

A light blush began to show on her cheeks as she fiddled with her hands. "Let's...let's stay for a while Gohan. I'm not in a rush to get back, are you?"

He gave a warm smile. "No, I'm not either. I'm sure Yang wouldn't mind if we stay a little while longer, and if she does then she'll have to deal with it. Call it payback for the prank on me." His warm smile turned into a mischievous one. "Speaking of which, I remember you were involved in that one too. Why? I never took you to be the pranking type, that's more of your sister's thing."

"OH...UHHHHHH...I uhhhh…" The crimsonette was drawing a total blank on how to explain her involvement in the prank without saying it was so the saiyan would notice her. There was only one thought in her head.

HE MUST NEVER KNOW.

"So it's a secret huh? Alright then, I guess I'll let you off the hook on telling me that one since you and Yang treated me to dinner."

Phew, that was close! Quick, change the topic before he can think of something else to corner me with!

"Your weapon!" She said all too loudly.

Gohan gave her an amused and bewildered look. "Yes, what about it?"

Her eyes lit up as she began to speak excitedly. "You haven't even started to make it yet, and you haven't told anyone what it's going to be! Tell me all about it! What kind of weapon is it, how many guns does it have, what are the specifications for the parts, what kind of metal are you using, how long is it going to take, is it going to have dust components, how will it w-"

"It's a sword. Nothing special, just...a sword." He said meekly, as if he was afraid she would be disappointed in him.

Which she was.

"JUST A SWORD!?" She shouted, slamming her hands on the table. "Gohan, you mean to tell me it's not even going to have a sniper rifle attached!?" As she said this her face turned to a pout.

Gohan blushed as he struggled to find a response to that. "N-no it's not. I uhhh...I didn't want to copy Crescent Rose! That would just be rude, right?" He plastered a nervous smile on his face and scratched the back of his neck with one hand, using the other to wave her off defensively.

The girl's pout soon went away, as she sighed and crossed her arms. "Well I guess that's fine, it's your weapon after all. Like I said to Jaune when we met, not many people have an appreciation for the classics. Can I help you with the design or anything?"

Gohan's nervous smile changed to a full one. "Sure, I'd love that! Just promise me one thing."

"What's that?"

"Don't add any guns to the sketch while I'm not looking."

Darn! Oh well…

She smiled warmly and chuckled. "Sure thing Gohan, I promise I won't try to add any guns."

They both had a good laugh for a moment, after which they fell into a comfortable silence, simply staring into each other's eyes, smiles on their faces. For some reason, the crimsonette was feeling particularly confident at the moment, which was reflected in her next question

"Hey...Gohan? What...what did you think of me when we first met?"

The saiyan seemed to be caught off guard for a moment, but after a few seconds he smiled and began to speak. "Well, that's a very complicated answer. For good reasons though, don't worry. I mean, the first time we met, you were poking me with a stick for a good 10 minutes trying to wake me up. I was a bit dazed and confused, but I remember one thing distinctly from those first moments."

"What was that?"

Gohan paused, as if he was thinking about whether or not he wanted to say something. Then his expression turned slightly more serious, and he went on. "Your eyes. When I first saw you I was captivated by your eyes. That and your smile, you seemed so happy and carefree. I couldn't help but feel happy too, and feel like I could trust you. I know I told you earlier that you're a lot like my father in many ways, and that was the first time I noticed it. Your smile has the same effect as his, but there's something more to it that I can't seem to pin down, I don't have a way to explain it yet." Ruby's face was bright red once again at this point, not exactly knowing how to respond to the compliments being thrown her way, though if the saiyan noticed he didn't seem to react.

He stopped for a moment to gather his thoughts, then continued with a more lighthearted tone. "As I got to know you better over that first day, I began to enjoy you more and more. You're funny, energetic, kind, and incredibly fun to be around. That first night at dinner when we talked about weapons and stuff, that was the most fun I'd had in quite a while. I was so happy when I was talking to you, because you're my first friend I've ever had close to my own age. Ever since I was born, my only friends have been through my dad. I had nobody my own age to talk to, since I never went to school and most of my life was spent fighting. Heck, my best friend before you was Piccolo. I'm not sure I've really made clear to you yet how much you mean to me, so I want to do it now while we're here and make sure you get the message." His face once again shifted, this time to the warmest smile the crimsonette had ever seen him give. "Thank you for being my friend Ruby. You really do mean a lot to me, I want you to know that."

Ruby had to actively work to keep her mouth from hanging wide open, her blush growing redder than the rose petals her semblance gave off. For a good couple of seconds, she was totally speechless. "Gohan...I don't know what to say. You...you really think that way about me?"

"I do. Without a doubt."

Okay, I'm going to pass out if he keeps this up. TOO CUTE, CUTENESS OVERLOAD, EVEN ZWEI WOULDN'T STAND A CHANCE. ABORT, ABORT!

"T-thank you Gohan, really. I think that's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me."

"No problem, I have to repay you for doing all this stuff for me somehow, right?" He chuckled as he said this. "Now, let me throw that question right back at you. What did you think of me when we first met?"

Ruby internally panicked. Dangit! How am I supposed to follow that up? I'm not good with words like he is! Not only that, but do I tell the whole truth, or do I leave parts out?

The crimsonette thought about it for a moment, and then began. "Well, our first days with you were pretty crazy. I mean, you literally kicked a Grimm's head into orbit, and fired lasers from your hands! It was so freaking cool! I was totally fascinated by you from the moment we met, I mean how could I not be? That feeling only grew more intense when I learned...well, learned where you were from." She looked around to make sure nobody would be able to hear her, then spoke softly. "I mean, you're an alien! Hearing about your life was incredible, especially since you've already been living my dream. You're a hero Gohan, you're what I've always wanted to be since I was a little girl reading storybooks. It's why I wanted to become a huntress in the first place, I want to be a hero and help people in need. Not only that, but you're such an incredible person! You're ridiculously kind to everyone, you're so smart, you're obviously the strongest fighter I know, and you work hard at everything you do. I really admire everything about you Gohan." Now it was the saiyan's turn to blush fiercely. It seemed he was reacting the same way Ruby had before, which made the girl proud of herself. I guess speaking from the heart really was the right way to go with it.

She suddenly realized something important. "Gohan, I have something else I need to say to you while we're here. It's...it's about what happened during initiation."

The warrior seemed to be confused. "What do you mean Ruby? A lot of stuff happened that day."

Her eyes turned downward, and she started fiddling with her thumbs once again. When she spoke, it was in a voice so softly that it could barely be heard. "When you...saved me. Right at the end, when that Nevermore was about to kill me, you protected me and saved my life."

A momentary expression of surprise flashed across the boy's features. "Well, of course I did. What about it? We talked about this right afterwards, you thanked me a bunch of times and I told you it was nothing. I would do that again in a heartbeat."

The crimsonette's shoulders shifted from side to side, her confidence slowly fading away. What she was about to say, it would be the point of no return. She sighed, and steeled herself to continue. I just have to speak the truth, and say how I feel. How hard can that be? It's not like I'm asking him out or anything yet. But why am I so darn nervous then? I'm no good at this, might as well get it over with.

"Well...yes we did. But I didn't tell you the whole truth of how I felt that day, and...I want to tell you now. The truth is, I uhhh...I…" She lifted her gaze for a moment to meet the eyes of her crush. His onyx orbs were fixated on her, eagerly awaiting her next comment. Whether it was from excitement, fear, curiosity, or all three together, she couldn't say. But she wouldn't keep him waiting any longer.

"What I didn't tell you, is that...you're my hero." She ignored his sudden gasp, and continued before she could lose her nerve. "When that Nevermore showed up behind me I thought that was it. I thought I was going to die, and I thought of all the things that I hadn't done yet...the people I loved that I'd never see again, the places I'd never get to visit, it was too much to take. I gave up on myself there, and I'm still sort of ashamed of that. But then you showed up and got me out of trouble. When you knocked me out of its mouth and caught me in the air, I immediately felt...safe. Then, when you said those words…" She remembered the line, clear as day.

You...you tried to hurt my friend. You're going to pay for that with your life.

"It affected me, more than I think you know. You said it was nothing, but I don't see it that way. So I'm going to tell you right now, no misunderstandings." She took a deep breath, and with her exhaling she let go of all doubts she'd had before about saying this sort of thing to the boy before her. "You're my best friend, but to me it's more than that. Whenever you're around I feel like I'm on top of the world, every time we talk it makes my day better. Ever since you showed up, my life has been so much more fun, and I want it to keep going on that way. Thank you for everything that you've done for me. Son Gohan, you are my hero, and I hope that one day you can say the same about me."

If she had to pick one word to describe the saiyan at this moment, it would definitely be "shocked". His jaw hung low and his eyes were wide, it seemed that he was well and truly speechless. He'd better be, I just spilled my heart out to him! I guess I didn't say everything, but it was enough for him to get a hint hopefully.

"Ruby...I…you...uhhh" He began to stumble over his words for the first time since she'd known him. Whether that was good or bad, she didn't know. Why is he hesitating like this? Wh-what...did I...did I say it too soon? Oh god I said it too soon! Please don't say that's true!

After a few more seconds of this, he stopped himself. He took a deep breath, and then gave his usual heartwarming smile. "Thank you Ruby. I really don't know what to say. Not to copy you, but I'm pretty sure that's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. You really do mean a lot to me...and I-"

BZZZTTTT-BZZZTTTT-BZZZTTTT

Ruby's scroll was going off. And Yang was the one calling her. TALK ABOUT BAD TIMING, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? She picked up the scroll, her hand trembling.

"Hello, Sister."

"Hiya Rubes, yo-" The blonde paused for a moment. "You sound a little angry, what's up? Did everything go okay with Gohan?"

"Oh, everything is fine actually. Or rather, was fine. I'm going to have a long conversation with you when we get back to our dorm about a little thing called timing."

"Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Oops, sorry sis, didn't mean to crash the party. You'd better not be 'monkeying around' while I'm not there though!"

"Yang not now!"

"Sorry, couldn't help it. Anyway, I'm calling because you guys really should be wrapping up around now. I've been done with the stuff I needed to do for a half hour now, and it's getting pretty late. I'm a few minutes away from you guys, and once I get there we're going back to Beacon. So finish up and I'll be there soon. Bye!"

With that, Yang hung up on the crimsonette, leaving a less than pleased Ruby and a thoroughly confused Gohan to finish their time alone together in silent peace. The moment had been ruined at the last second, but the memory of their night together would last forever.

"FIX IT!"

"I'm telling you, it's not broken!"

Paragus was thankful for the palace basement being soundproofed. If it wasn't, he would surely have awoken the three Super Saiyans sleeping just a few floors above. Kakarot "teleported" back to Earth to speak with a woman named Chi-Chi, who Paragus had been told was his mate, while the royal family passed out in separate bedrooms. He wasn't sure if Kakarot had returned, but that wasn't a concern of his.

What was his concern, however, was Broly.

Until today, the control device he had implanted on his head when he was young had worked perfectly. Aside from the few times he'd needed to replace it with a larger version due to the child's growth, it had worked perfectly. Broly had only been able to use as much power as he allowed...and combined with the drugs he gave him when it was time to wipe out planets, he was a monster under control.

Then in that sparring session, he somehow...broke the control. Paragus was thankful that the device still limited his power somewhat, since he only went Super Saiyan and not his greater form, but the mere fact that he overpowered the device that had worked for years prior unnerved him. His first thoughts were that the machine was malfunctioning, so he presented it to his personal scientist, named Krang.

And he gave less than stellar news.

"Look, sire." The purple alien explained, showing the saiyan a piece of paper with one of his tentacles. "The results are the same as before...the device is working fine. It just seems Broly is somehow acting out on his own. You're his father, so I suppose it's up to you to calm him down."

"We both know that's not going to happen." Paragus scoffed. "Nothing I could do would be able to tame his power. There's a reason I came to you in the first place...and it's the same reason you still draw breath!"

The alien stuttered, frightened. "I-I understand, but there's nothing I can do."

"Yes there is!" Paragus shouted. "What I came here for, FIX IT."

With these words, he slammed the gauntlet glove that controlled the power limiter on the table, before picking up the headband he had removed from his son.

"How am I supposed to fix what's not broken?!" Krang shouted back.

"Perhaps it's not the limiter." Paragus calmed himself down. Shouting wasn't going to get him anywhere. "The control for it might be where the problem lies, so I'll leave that with you for now. You have 15 hours before the comet arrives. If it's not fixed by that point I'll leave you to die with this planet."

Krang gulped, indicating that he got the message. "B-but sire…" He wondered. "What about Broly? What do you do with him if you can no longer control him." While it was a legitimate question, Krang asked it more for his own sake than Paragus's. After all, if he was still needed Paragus couldn't let him die, right?

"...it's a tough decision." Paragus began. "...but if Broly refuses to listen to my orders than he is no son of mine. He will die with the others."

With these words, Paragus left and closed the door behind him, leaving Krang alone with the gauntlet.

Krang sighed, fearing for his life. Here goes nothing, I suppose. He decided, getting to work.

What am I going to do?

The young saiyan was lying down in bed, staring at his ceiling. Dinner had ended uneventfully, as Yang arrived to pick them up, nearly had a heart attack due to the cost of the meal, and simply resigned herself to the fact that she had asked for it. On the way back to Beacon there hadn't been much conversation between Gohan and Ruby, a better description would be that Yang conversed with both of them at once. It was clear that the awkward atmosphere would remain despite her best efforts to remedy it, so she eventually quieted down and the trip was made in silence.

Now it was nearly midnight, and he was still thinking about the events of the evening. He'd tried ignoring it for the past hour, but that one line kept coming back to him. It made him feel things that he had no business feeling, it brought an indescribable happiness to him that had no rival. Not even his mother's cooking could make him feel as good as those words did, but...well, that wasn't a fair comparison. He couldn't compare the feeling of what Ruby had said to dinner...that just seemed wrong somehow. Almost like an insult...which was hard to wrap his mind around because his mother's cooking was divine.

"Son Gohan, you are my hero, and I hope that one day you can say the same about me."

What was he supposed to say to that? Well, he knew what he wanted to say, and if Yang hadn't interrupted with her phone call, he might have done it. Now that he'd thought about it though, that would have been a bad decision.

He'd started to realize what he truly felt for the crimsonette about midway through their dinner together. When he'd started to describe how he saw her, it became clear that she meant more to him than even he had expected. Every time he made her blush, smile, or laugh, it filled him with joy. Every time she seemed nervous or hesitant, his chest felt constricted and his heart felt heavy. He knew full well what these reactions were. Coupling that with his actions regarding the Nevermore incident, it was obvious how he felt.

"You're my best friend, but to me it's more than that."

She'd hit the nail on the head with that statement. It reflected his own sentiment perfectly, but he still wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. Certainly he counted himself lucky to know a girl like Ruby, and their feelings towards each other were growing more obvious by the day. There was a multitude of problems with it though, the first of which that came to mind also being the greatest.

Earth.

He couldn't forget that Remnant was not his home, no matter how much it was starting to feel like it. His mother and father would be waiting for him, so there was no way he could stay on Remnant just for the sake of one girl, no matter how incredible that girl might be. Assuming that he could find a way to leave Remnant, he wouldn't hesitate for a single moment.

Maybe I could bring her with me? He thought about it for a minute, then realized how foolish that idea was. Ruby had a family on Remnant, just as he had one on Earth. By all accounts they never should have met, they belonged in their own worlds with their own families.

What am I supposed to do? I've never… 'liked' anyone before, much less someone from another dimension. I don't even have mom to turn to for advice, though from what I've heard about how she and dad met, I kinda doubt she'd be much help. Actually...none of my friends would be any help.

Gohan didn't have anyone at Beacon either that he could turn to for advice about the predicament, since the only two people who knew about his alien heritage were Ruby and Yang. The former he didn't want to make aware of his feelings until he figured this out, and the latter he didn't want to tell because he was certain Yang would tattle to Ruby.

He also knew that he couldn't just keep it a secret from her forever. Not only would his own conscience forbid that, his heart would as well. If he were to leave without ever having told her how he truly felt, he'd never be able to forgive himself. Not only that, but he was sure Ruby's heart would be broken, a thought he wouldn't even dare to entertain.

Is there even a solution to this?! There's got to be! I don't want to let anyone down...there needs to be something I can do so that everyone's happy...but I can't seem to figure it out.

He shook his head. Maybe I shouldn't count my dinosaurs before they hatch. I need to figure out how to get home first...then I can figure out what to do with Ruby.

Okay, but what do you do 'till then? A little voice in the back of his mind asked. Doesn't matter how long you put things off, Ruby is still an issue.

She's not an issue. He corrected himself, before pondering the question. I can't tell her...not yet. Not until I know what I need to do. I guess I just have to keep it secret...as much as I hate to say it.

He turned his body to face the wall and groaned. Somehow I'm on a planet where soulless monsters roam freely, and my biggest problems, barring how to get back home, involve my feelings for a girl.

The young saiyan spent the night tossing and turning, trying to find that magical realm of sleep to no avail. His thoughts were invaded constantly by the face of a crimson haired beauty, who he could now say without a doubt that he adored.

"Son Gohan, you are my hero."

Ahhh, crapbaskets...

A/N: In the words of Remnant's favorite blonde bombshell...that was a thing.

Ahhhh, feelings are starting to happen! The horror!

In all seriousness though, I like how this one turned out. It sets up the beginnings of the pairing the entire story is based on, so it's a major point of plot development. Not only has Gohan realized a super cute crimsonette has the hots for him, he got a free meal AND humiliated Cardin. In any other situation, he'd be on top of the world, but there are still plenty more problems for him to face.

Could anyone guess which sections were me, and which were Xman? Leave your guesses along with your reviews for the chapter, it'll be really interesting to see what you think.

Speaking of which, let's respond to some reviews right now!

Sid89 - STOP BEING SO SMART! Seriously though, when Xman said you were warm, you were verywarm. We're glad you like the Broly arc so far! It's receiving mixed reviews, but we promise there's a good reason for its existence. You're correct that Gohan's original sword was straight, it was modeled from a Roman Gladius. However, I believe from what Xman has told me, this sword will be curved as a tribute to Yamcha. The sword itself won't be only a tribute to him though, it will have little pieces honoring multiple Z-Fighters tied in. You're correct in reading that "Oh no" in the same manner as crapbaskets, we came up with that as a parallel to draw between Gohan and Ruby, I'm glad you noticed it. I'll let Xman explain the rest, since Peach was his idea.

Peach's personality was actually conceived as a mix of both Yang and Ruby's personality. I used a generator and got Pyre Captor, her Machine Gun Gauntlets. Since that's similar to Yang I figured I'd give her some of that, then I made her a weapons designer and put some Ruby in there, and of course she has to be mature in some way because she's a teacher.

X3runner - Xman you take this one. All I have to say is that Pyrrha will act like a big sister towards Gohan, that has been in our plans from the start.

I may or may not have plans for Gohan to use the Destructo Disk. As for your other points, his sword won't be giant but it'll probably be a bit big. And for your Vegeta comment, if initiation didn't tell you anything, we're doing that plenty...on both sides of the Power Within relationship…

Remember, Power Within doesn't just refer to Gohan.

Leo the zodiac - The answer is simple. He doesn't needanything special. He asked for a plain old sword because it's not going to be his go-to fighting method, Not only that, but as another reviewer has pointed out, a weapon doesn't have to be over the top to be interesting. As for your preference towards Gohan x Pyrrha, I have a story for you! My own, Warriors of Legend! (yes this is a shameless plug, stop laughing at me!). It's Ultimate Gohan x Pyrrha, I just started it so there's only one chapter out, but I hope to turn it into something special.

I think he came here from your story, but hey, I'll let you have the plug.

dsonic 10 - No comment, no comment, and Super is awesome. Merry Christmas to you too!

No Comment. No comment. Again, Super is awesome, I may or may not be able to say Merry Christmas closer to be actual holiday, but Merry Christmas anyway.

Guest 1 - Broly's hair in his suppressed SSJ form is neon blue. This is not a god transformation.

It's a side effect of his Legendary Mutation form. It was like that in the first movie. Ignore the 2nd one. That didn't happen.

Guest 2 - He...won't be in the games?

I think he means the Cell Games, and well...he probably won't be in there. Sorry.

TrollerBear - Thank you! We'll leave the full description of the sword for later on, but we promise to try and make it interesting. As for the Broly arc, we understand that it's non-canonical, but so is this whole story. Also, the only place in which the first Broly movie COULD fit within the DBZ timeline is actually in the period of peace before the Cell Games, so it makes sense that we would put it here. I'll let Xman explain the rest, but thank you for your review!

Broly has two reasons to be in this story. One, fight scene practice. Two...it involves Vegeta. That's all I'm allowed to say.

Part 1 - I have a few things to say to this...

1) No he is not simple minded

2) It's his story, and his vision. Get over it.

3) I'm pretty sure we understand how ki works. Also, nobody is perfect. He's also not the only person working on Dragon Ball, if it were his say and his alone, Android 19 and 20 would have been the main villains of the Future Trunks arc in DBZ. You need to understand how your Dragon Ball content is made better, I recommend watching Geekdom101 videos on YouTube to educate yourself.

I'll let Xman take the rest of this, since he has his own response to the second part of your review.

Thanks Moose. THAT SOUNDS FREAKING AWESOME. I mean, you make the god thing sound easy to do, which it isn't, but if Krillin, Yamcha...Ruby put in that work that would even the odds. The Saiyans would probably be stronger by default, especially with the God transformations, but that's a clever idea. I like it!

NightmareMBD - We're working on it! Power Within is growing steadily, we're just about to hit 200 favorites and 250 followers. Not the biggest numbers in the world compared to some other stories, but we're grateful for each and every one of you who reads our work. We have the same sentiments about rushing things, and even though this chapter may look like we're rushing, please have faith! As I said earlier, we've planned this out WAY in advance, done a lot of thinking about exactly when they should reach each stage of their relationship. I'll let Xman explain the rest to you. Thanks for the review!

Lemme put it this way. We have 10 sagas planned out so far. We are spreading the relationship across that whole point…though they do become a couple relatively quickly compared to that number.

Krispy the wonder cat - Yes it will :)

Ooooh boy. Let's just say I have the perfect ending for the fight.

heroman45 - I'M SORRY HEROMAN SENPAI, THERE'S ONLY ONE SMALL YANG PUN IN THE WHOLE CHAPTER. I'LL DO BETTER NEXT TIME! Also, still haven't figured out what you were referring to with the first part of your review, could you PM Xman or I what you meant? Xman can take the rest. Thanks for reviewing!

Don't worry, we handled this over PM a while ago. My fight scene this chapter was pretty fast but I didn't want to make it too intense. It's not the big fight after all...and some serious stuff is gonna go down there.

duskrider - All I will say is that there will NOT be a permanent portal between the dimensions. I can't give away any more than that.

Actually, there is a portal. Many portals. The rifts. However, nobody knows if they are safe yet, and Gohan doesn't know they EXIST, so nobody's going to either dimension for a bit. If at all.

SolidSamurai233 - Thank you for supporting our story! You should be happy with the response we gave to that last review. We agree with you, but I think you'll be surprised with what we have planned.

Yes. You'll be surprised as soon as the Cell Games start.

Guest 3 - I don't know...does he? Does he really?

Maybe he does? I'm not telling. All I can say is you're right but wrong. All at the same time.

Nosy john - As we said, there are 10 sagas planned, and the relationship will span that whole time. As for Broly, he will become his asshole self, sorry. Xman, you take the rest of this one.

I prefer them to be the same thing as to allow the Remnans to grasp the concept of Ki and vice versa for Gohan. However, Ki had been used like Aura before. Remember with Cardin? Gohan blocked his shot like Goku blocked Trunks' sword with his finger. It's just advanced aura protection really. However, they don't know about semblances, or the healing properties. Obviously the Remnans can't fly or shoot blasts, but at least they understand it's like activating aura.

Speaking of...you know the ritual Pyrrha did to unlock Jaune's aura? I imagine that's a lesser form of Guru and Elder Kai's ability to unlock potential...though it's more like Guru's than Elder Kai's.

Well that's all for now, read, review, guess which parts were mine, and have a good day!

Bonus question for this chapter: How would Beerus and Blake interact if they were to meet?
