WARNING!

Below this line (including all the chapters after this), is un-edited for who-knows-how-long. Due to certain...circumstance, however, I can't let the other chapters collect figurative dust in my hard drive. So, I'm posting the update, whether they're good or bad. You're still welcome to review; maybe one day I can go back and fix them, but no promises.

SUMMARY: (AU) A mission left Yukio with a new, barely fitting silver ring. Strangely enough, he often seems pained and unconsciously rubs his left arm often, and that makes his students go all suspicious of him. What is he hiding?

TIMELINE: AU.

All Dragoons fired at once. Shiemi screamed, burying her face to Rin's shoulder. Rin was gaping. Bon clenched his fists and teeth. Koneko and Shima gaped, eyes wide.

No sound of body hitting the ground, nor screams of pain. Angel raised his hand, ordering a cease fire. The Dragoon exorcists complied.

Before them was a wall of ice.

"What?" exclaimed Angel.

The wall crumbled into flakes of snow, dissolving. Palm forward, was Yukio. His red eyes were glaring at the Paladin. His arms were coated in silver flames. "You're not destroying us," he growled menacingly, his silver hair bristled.

Angel grabbed his blade, retorting, "You are destroying us!"

He was raising it before Yukio slammed his palm and froze the blade with his flame, forcing Angel to let it go. The Dragoons risked a shot (each) to him. Yukio swept his silver flame to the bullet path, destroying the bullets. With the same hand, putting out the flame prior, he reached for Angel's shoulder. Angel tried to dodge, but he was too slow.

A shriek was heard as Yukio grasp a small, formerly invisible, Compy (Compsognathus) by the neck. It shrieked as it clawed his hand, trying to get Yukio to release it.

"Let go, Final Enemy!" it spoke in the tongues of demons. "Master will get you," it spat in hatred. "You cannot defeat him this time."

"Shut up," Yukio growled, freezing the dino-demon. Only for it to explode in his hand, leaving acid burns. Yukio growled. His eyes glowed brighter before he let out a roar. Angel stepped back, knowing that he couldn't fight without the help of his beloved blade. Yukio got covered in silver flames before his body shifted more to the demon form.

He stood on all fours. A pair of steel wings flexing. His nose-horn glinted, showing its sharpness. The two spikes became real spikes along his long, flexible neck. His ears twitched, shifting his silver hair. His mostly red body stretched a morning stretch. His lance-tail swung, slamming a door, and destroying it. He snorted, letting a puff of smoke out of his nose. The triangle glinted as he flexed his neck. His waist was as tall as Angel's chest.

"Bravo!"

"Mephisto!"

The said King of Time smirked. "He runs amock with all the bottled emotions in him. And even more powerful than I thought.

"Mephisto, can you do something?!"

Mephisto tsked. "This is what Okumura-sensei has to solve by himself. Eins. Zwei. Drei!" And he famooshed.

They all wore the same expression on their faces; angst.

"Okumura, try talking some sense into him," suggested Bon.

"There's no use in talking with him when he becomes a demon," Angel denied. "Back off, esquires. This is beyond your powers." He tested the ice to find it extremely cold, and showed no sign of melting anytime soon. "Che. Fire!" he ordered.

The Dragoons fired. Yukio narrowed his red eyes, showing no sign of being affected nor recognition. He flapped his wings, making a barrier of silver flames, which burned the bullets into nothing.

"My turn," he rumbled.

With a speed that should've been impossible for a creature with a build like him, Yukio 'flowed', moving like a Chinese dragon and a tiger, pouncing on a Dragoon, backhanding him. He twisted his body, turning it, smashing his tail and knocking out the rest of them. Shura drew her blade. However, she made no move to attack, earning his interest.

"Oi, Scaredy Four-Eyes, ya there?"

It isn't like she's asking... She's demanding.

The beast rumbled in laughter. "I'm no Yukio, woman." Surprisingly, all humans (and half-demon and demon) in the area could hear him clearly. "I'm not low ranking, either. Thus, why you can hear me."

"Then, what are you?" demanded Rin. "Return Yukio!"

The red eyes pierced him with their intensity. "You would do well to stop wishing, boy. I'm his other. I'm born from his accumulated pain. I'm born to protect him from everything when he can't take it anymore."

Rin was taken aback. "But Yukio's strong!" he denied. "He could face anything."

"Not exactly," Shura muttered. All eyes landed on her. "I used to see him when he wasn't as strong. Even now, he only looks strong because he keeps everything bottled up inside. I warned him of it before."

"You really have no idea, do you?" asked Yukio's other. His eyes looked them all over. "You really don't." He stomped his forepaw, earning guarded stances. "You are FOOLS!" He opened a portal below them, teleporting them all but the unconscious Dragoons to the roof. "You don't deserve him." He charged a ball of silver energy in his mouth. "You. Deserve. To die."

"Oi, matte! (Hey, wait!)" shouted Shura. The Knight slung her blade on her shoulder lazily. "Wouldn't killing us make Yukio unhappy?" He discharged the energy ball.

"What are you implying, woman?"

"Yukio consider us dear if he told us nothin'," Shura clarified. "That boy is the type to keep everything bottled up."

The beast smirked. "Nice logic you have there, woman. What do you propose, then?" he challenged. "I cannot cease to be when deep down he still needs me."

"Enough!" Angel roared. The other exorcists had regained consciousness and were at the ready. A shotgun-wielding Dragoon shot the beast.

The beast roared. "I've told you, woman, you. Don't. Deserve. Him!"

"It's not about deserving it; we're going to protect him!"

"Shut up!" he blasted them with air by flapping out his wings once. Shiemi stumbled. "It is I, Kaishin, that will protect him from the likes of you!"

The Final Enemy growled as sparks of dark energy gathered around him. The sparks changed his appearance. His head was covered in a mentallic helmet. The horn became jadged like a saw. His tongue slithered out like that of a ghoul. His red fur turned coal black, the white one becoming dried blood red. The braided tail uncurled, making tentacle-like appendages. The main one, the lance, turned silver and became more drill-like.

He roared. "I'll slaughter you all!"

He drew the First Blood. He bit the closest exorcist, threw him up to the air before letting the exorcist to fall into his wide open maw, swallowing the body whole. He licked his lips as if his victim was tasty. "Who's next? The blood of liars are tasty..."

Izumo dropped to her knees, Shiemi shivered, tears flowing from her eyes, muttering a weak "Yuki-chan..." as she watched how the remaining exorcists were fighting back, trying to kill him. The dark beasty demon grinned maliciously at their feeble attempt. He pinned down Angel, ignoring the bullets ricochetting of his thick, demon hide. He opened his mouth and let his tongue get a good whiff of his prey's taste.

He sighed in contentment. "Sure is tasty..." He opened his maw. Angel struggled, but he couldn't match his brute strength. He inched away as best as he could, which wasn't much, at all, from his maw.

Blue flames errupted from the roof.

Mephisto chuckled as he sat on his flying seat, a cup of tea in hand."Ladies and gentlemen! What we've been waiting for so long is now available! Saa, let the real battle begins," declared Mephisto with an air of drama. He sat down and sipped from his cup of tea.

"Code:Kaishin has gone wild, milord."

"What?!"

A whimper. "Forgive us, milord. Although the Awakening and Shifting went well, Code:Kaishin have just broke apart from the Tree of Code:Final. Our virus, we assure you, is perfect."

"Therefore it's our target's that's wrong..."

"It's possible, milord, we'll have to check the Recipe."

A tired sigh. "Do so. Immediately."

"Yes, milord." Sound of feet scurrying away.

"To think...this happened..."

A/N: I kinda feel this is rushed (for the umpeth time). Do you? I hope you enjoy it, either way. No, Yukio doesn't have schizoprenia or MPD (multiple personality disorder). He has a little of the flame still inside of him, hooked to his demon blood, and the strain of the virus, with his (possible continuous) mental exhaustion, and demon heritage created his Other, Kaishin. The virus, while fatal, is to replicate Code:Final as well as erasing the victim's original personality, hence it is a good stimulant for it to happen, in case you're wondering.

I'm sorry if it gore-y... The personality kinda fits, and I can't help it... I think it is actually worse in the 8th.

Please let me know of any inconsistency in the story, as the story kinda writes itself.

Thanks for the support. All kind of reviews are welcome.
