Tawni materialized in the Sanctuary's zen garden. Watching for a moment she saw her husband in deep meditation. Back in Japan she always loved watching him meditate or do Tai Chi, it was just something about the fluidity of the movements. Mainly she just loved watching how each movement mad his muscles ripple.
With his eyes still closed, Jayden smiled, "Are you really just going to stand there all night and stare at me." He had instantly felt calmer when he felt her presence.
"What if I that was what I was planning on doing?" Tawni smiled, feeling instantly relived.
Jayden just shook his head, gracefully stood up from his meditation spot and walked over to Tawni. He felt a small triumph when he wrapped her in his arms and she didn't protest.
"I don't like fighting with you Jay," Tawni mumbled into his chest as she tried to bury herself into his body as much as possible.
Jayden bent his head and kissed the top of her head. Resting his cheek on head, he agreed wholeheartedly. "I don't like it either. I'm sorry Tawni, when I saw that monster appear, I wasn't thinking. I just wanted to get to you as fast as possible and take control of the situation."
Tucking her hair behind her ear, Tawni looked up. "I'm not that eleven year old girl that left you in Japan, a little unsure of herself anymore Jay. I can take care of myself."
Sensing the serious stare aimed in her direction, she sighed. "Yes, I'm going through some supernatural adolescent changes and I need you to help me through them, but I can not have you be there to fight my battles for me."
"I know. I'm sorry. I am here for you through thick and thin."
Tawni looked up at Jayden, smiled and then kissed him on the lips. Jayden returned the action. Never taking his lips off hers, he lifted her up in his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist. He then walked them both into his living quarters.
Several hours later, they lay in bed with Tawni's head on his chest, listening to his rapid heartbeats. Jayden looking up at his ceiling and playing with her hair.
Tawni rolled over, lifted her head up and looked into his eyes. "I know you have a moral code of only fighting to protect the innocent. Going into an honor battle is against your code."
"Where are you taking this T?"
"You have to fight Dekker Jay." Tears rolling down her cheeks. She saw him about to protest. Shaking her head for him to stop. "It's the only way he'll stop harassing you and I think it's the only way for me to get my uncle back."
"I could lose and then what?" Jayden asked in a neutral voice.
"I don't want to lose you either Jay. But look at what we do everyday. The chances of going into a battle everyday and coming out alive are 50/50. I know what I'm asking is foolish but this kind of battle has happened before."
Tilting his head and giving his wife a questioning look, "What do you mean?"
"When we were kids, the Space Rangers fought a villain named Astronema. When Astronema was defeated a girl was pulled out of the rubble by my Uncle Andros. That girl's name was Karone. She was Andros' long lost sister. Turns out she had be abducted by a Villain name Dark Spektor."
"You think that is what happened to Cole? But Dekker is over 300 years old, there's no way this could be him."
"It's not uncommon for Rangers to time travel," she started.
"You have a theory that he was pulled through a time hole, brainwashed, and turned into Dekker." He inquired.
Tawni could only nod. "That is the theory I am going by right now."
"What if you're wrong and Cole isn't Dekker?"
"Then I'm back to square one but I have a feeling about this Jay. Dekker is my Uncle Cole."
"I could get killed. My greatest fear is leaving you alone."
Eyes closed, Tawni gave a deep sorrowful sigh, "My greatest fear is losing you too. But Dekker keeps trying to goad you into this fight."
They both left the conversation there.
The Samurais' Gap Sensor system blared, Tawni raced from the bed and dared her husband to jump into action with her eyes.
Jayden held his hands up and shook his head. They had just finally reconciled, he wasn't about to cause another rift between them.
Tawni just grinned while throwing her clothes on and running out of Jayden's chambers.
Kerry and Karen walked out the front door prepared for the daily torture of school, gymnastics and martial arts training.
Kimberly and Tommy never let them wear dress shoes or dresses and skirts without active shorts on underneath. It was something that they grew up with and didn't bother to question until recently.
Both girls had put on skirts today without the aforementioned shorts on at first. Feeling extremely awkward about possibly leaving home without that extra protection made they put on their shorts anyway.
"Tawni's not here. That's strange," Karen murmured. As she shut the door from the outside of their home.
Kerry ignored the comment not because she thought her sister was being weird but because of the weird creatures starting to surround them. Both girls were outnumbered 50 to 1.
They looked at each other, they refused to scream. They gave silent nods, threw their belongings on the ground and prepared to fight for their lives.
"What are these things," Karen exclaimed, as the creatures seemed to close their distances. Panic was trying to creep up her bones but she steeled herself. This was why their parents had them train in self-defense since they were toddlers.
"I have no idea. Just stay calm and remember our training." Kerry ordered. She saw Karen nod and waited for the inevitable.
Sure enough the creatures started lunging at the girls. The girls countered the attacks and pushed several out of the way. Then both decided to be proactive and started attacking the rest of the group.
It seemed like for every five creatures they defeated ten more would show up in their place. "I can't hold them off much longer Kerr. What are we gonna do?"
Before Kerry could answer her younger sister, fireballs came flying through the air and a person dressed like a power ranger started attacking the creatures.
"You two run away now. Get out of here," the female voice behind the mask demanded.
Not ones to be ordered around by anyone other then their family they stood their ground. "No way. They attacked us. We're taking them down," Karen announced.
Behind the mask Tawni was proud of her sisters for wanting to defeat the piranhatrons before them. However, she couldn't allow them to fight. "You can't defeat these things. I said runaway! There's no shame in saving yourselves. Go! Now!"
Despite her urging, her stubborn sisters wouldn't budge. So unbeknownst to two of them the Oliver trio were battling as the Trinity Force for the first time.
Tawni grabbed her power sword and started thrashing their attackers. Kerry and Karen both were kicking, flipping, and punching the creatures until they disappeared.
"Wow, a Power Ranger in person." Kerry gushed. She immediately started to take her cell phone out and take pictures.
Tawni put her suit covered hands up and negated the action. "Don't take my picture. Just head off to school and keep yourself out of trouble. I'm sure you are already late. Don't want you in trouble with your parents and teachers now, do we?"
The girls grumbled, picked up their belongings and finished their journey to school.
Once her sisters were out of sight, Tawni powered down and gave a sigh of relief. That had been the first time she had used her morpher. She hadn't a clue how to activate it at first, but somehow instinct had taken over. Wow, So I'm the leader of the Trinity Force.
"You idiots, you let that Purple Ranger ruin your mission," the voice of the self-appointed leader bellowed. "You three can't do anything right."
"The two of them were already fighting back before that Ranger even stepped into the picture," Goldar supplied. "The Ranger must be one that looks exactly like Kimberly Hart," he continued.
"You're telling me you couldn't even separate them before help arrived!"
"Well, it is you're fault Comodo," a shadowy figure stepped out from the shadows, "after all you did send a resurrected commander out on this mission with ill equipped soldiers."
Comodo, the self-appointed leader, glared at the newest edition to his domain. The Alligator/Human Monster didn't like to be challenged. This figure was going to ruin his mission.
"You see the only way to be rid of these Rangers is if you can think like them. None of you in this room has ever been able to do that."
"Just who do you think you are?"
"That's easy. I'm Katherine Hilliard, a former pink ranger…."
