Target 7, Chapter 7
As the week was soon to end, everyone became desperate to find out what Tsuna's Flame Type was. Her trainings had intensified, with her memorising fact after fact of Vongola, learning boxing with Ryohei, working on her stamina with Colonello, learning more about Flame Types and weapons with Reborn.
In each lesson she had with Reborn, it became easier to notice her growing attraction to the Sun Flame user. He was tough as a teacher and really pushed her to the limits when training her to use different weapons, but he was also the one to heal her wounds after each lesson with his own Flames. She wasn't sure what she felt for him, but she wasn't too keen on finding out. After all, she had other things to concentrate on.
Luckily for her, she didn't bump into Hibari again, but she didn't bump into the other Student Council members and Successors either. After asking Basil about it, he answered that they and CEDEF were busy preparing for her birthday party, something that had caused her panic when she heard about it.
One night, when she finally caught hold of Enma after his lessons, they hung out in his bedroom instead, talking about this birthday party thing. "Why do they need to throw a party? I'm just turning 15, it's no big deal," she groused, throwing herself onto his bed dramatically. He snorted in response, sitting at his desk. "That's because they're finally going to announce you to the Mafia World as the Vongola Princess, Hime. They're just going to use your birthday as an excuse to meet up with the other Allying Families and announce your existence," he replied, working on his homework for the day.
"Speaking of the Vongola Princess thing… is anyone going to tell me about the prophecy, whatever it is? Wouldn't it be weird if they announce that to everyone without me knowing a single shit about it?" Tsuna wondered aloud as she rolled on the bed to stare at Enma.
"Nice try, Hime, but I won't tell you. We're all under strict instructions not to. You're not allowed to know of the prophecy before you identify your Flame Type," Enma warned, scribbling away, before pausing and shooting her a curious look. "Speaking about that, Hime, do you really have no idea what your Flame Type is?"
Tsuna frowned as she stretched her hand in front of her, watching the metallic ring glint in the sunlight. "Reborn and I have been working at it, but even after sparring with him with weapons, there's no single flash of flame. Even working up my Hyper Intuition doesn't show a damned colour," she mused. "Though he did say Fong spotted orange on my Ring when he first saw me," she added.
Enma lit up. "That could mean you're a Sky Flame like me!" he said excitedly, turning from his homework to grin at her. Tsuna sighed. "Judging by my personality type, both Reborn and I find it unlikely. So we aren't too sure about what Fong saw," she said, before trying to yank her ring off.
Hands immediately shot out to stop her. "Hime, stop. You're wearing a dud ring. If you try to yank it off, it might cause serious trouble," Enma warned, placing her hands next to her sides before going back to his table to continue with his work. Tsuna let out an indignant huff.
"This dud ring caused me so much problems. I don't get why Reborn is so insistent on me using it to reveal my powers. It's meant to repress them, after all," she complained loudly. "That's because he believes you're strong enough to overcome it, Hime. And if you really are, we'll have proof that you're the one to fulfil the prophecy," Enma pointed out as his hand flew over his paper, no doubt filling in his homework quickly with his smart brain.
A comfortable silence filled the room.
"What's the agenda for you tomorrow?" Enma questioned lightly as he continued with his work. Tsuna responded moodily, "Well tomorrow's Friday, so it's the same old thing, but Reborn did mention that he was going to try to activate my Flames again." Enma tensed at that statement, his movements freezing. Tsuna noticed it, but she decided not to say anything, waiting patiently. Enma would tell her, after all.
"Did he say specifically what was going to happen?" Enma asked, forcing his tone to be casual. Tsuna blinked a couple of times at him. "He did mention that an unexpected guest would be coming tomorrow. Something about them wanting to visit the alleged Vongola Princess themselves," Tsuna replied slowly. She could feel her gut instinct prickle. She had an inkling about who exactly these visitors were.
Enma stopped his work entirely and turned to face her, an anxious expression on his face. "Do you need me to accompany you tomorrow?" Tsuna smiled and shook her head at him. "Apparently, you'll be there to see it. CEDEF, The Student Council, the Successors, the Arcobaleno, you and Adel will be there to see what happens and to welcome this guest."
"Sounds like a pretty important guest. Do you have any idea who it is?" Enma prompted, a look of worry crossing his handsome features. "Reborn refused to tell me, but my gut's telling me who it is, and I'm pretty sure I'm right."
When Tsuna voiced the name of the guest, Enma's eyes widened.
"They're on a whole different level, Hime. Are you sure this will be okay?" He murmured in concern.
"To be honest, I don't know what's going to happen, or how I'm supposed to face them without even having my Flames. But I guess we'll wait and see tomorrow," Tsuna answered grimly.

The next day, Tsuna woke up and dressed carefully. She knew that a battle was bound to happen today, even without Reborn telling her, so she dressed in comfortable clothing that would be easy for her for move around in.
She dressed in gym shorts, Converse shoes, and a light grey tank top. Then she grabbed her weapon holsters and placed them in her gym bag. Two contained knives and the other two contained guns. She was used to wearing weapon holsters after Reborn had trained her to wear them, but she wasn't used to them being in plain sight. As a second thought, she reached out and grabbed a large black sweater from her wardrobe, placing it into her gym bag too. The sweater was long enough to cover her holsters, though it did make her seem like she wasn't wearing shorts. Oh well. She'd rather not walk around the school with weapon holsters so clearly displayed anyway.
When she entered the boxing room, she was shocked to meet only Ryohei. "Where's Collonello? Is he late?" she asked Ryohei as she settled down, tossing her gym bag to a side gently. She immediately started stretching to warm up, a routine she had settled into over the past few days.
"He's having a meeting with the Arcobaleno," Ryohei answered. He seemed a little fidgety, and Tsuna straightened from her stretching position on the floor before assuming another position. "Is something wrong, Ryohei?"
"We won't be doing practice today, Tsuna," he said slowly, turning to face her. "You're just going to do warm ups and then head straight to Field A."
Tsuna froze in the middle of her stretching, but forced herself to continue after a few seconds. "We're meeting the visitors so early?" she asked, trying to keep her tone light, hiding the anxiousness that engulfed her being.
Ryohei couldn't meet her eyes. "Yeah," he murmured.
Tsuna began with a light warm up on the gym equipment, choosing not to say anything to Ryohei. After her warmup was done, she grabbed a towel and lightly wiped at her sweat, before gulping down her water. "I'm going to go take a shower now. I'll meet you at the Field?" she offered Ryohei, who was still standing quietly in a corner, a stark contrast from his usually upbeat personality.
Having received no response from him, Tsuna walked over to the showers, only to be stopped by a hand on her shoulder. "Tsuna," Ryohei finally said, looking into her eyes. "Yes Ryohei-senpai?" she asked patiently.
"We've been informed of who our visitor is, and I'm not allowed to tell you who it is, but Tsuna, I need you to be very wary of them," he warned. "They're very powerful. I've gone against a few of them before, and I can safely say I'm good friends with them, but they seem to hate you already. I don't think this is a good way to find out your Flame Type, but this is already happening. I just want you to be safe and to take care of yourself. If anything happens, you can always come to me for healing," Ryohei said seriously.
Tsuna was deeply touched by Ryohei's words. The two of them had bonded a lot over the past few days, and Tsuna was stunned at how Ryohei was treating her so nicely. A lump formed in her throat. "I got it, Senpai. Thank you for your concern. I'll do my best," she said gently.
After Tsuna had finished showering, she stared at herself in the mirror as she slowly slid on the weapon holsters on her thighs and forearms. She could feel slight nervousness coursing through her body. If her premonition of who the guest was was correct, she was potentially in a lot of trouble. She knew her safety wouldn't be compromised, since they had to keep her alive, but she was scared of what was going to happen. She wasn't ready to face a dangerous situation in her current state, not without her Flames.
She gazed at the Ring on her finger, which was still annoyingly blank. "Now would be a good time for you to change," she told it hopefully. A few seconds passed as she stared at the ring, but nothing happened. "Okay then, you stupid dud ring. I guess it's just me then," she grumbled before putting on her large black sweater, pulling on it so it could cover the weapon holsters on her thighs.
If she had continued staring at her Ring, she would have noticed a bright flash of orange pass over the surface of her ring.
~~~~~~~~~~~PAGE BREAK~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Tsuna walked to the Field alone, her head was full of thoughts.
What if she still couldn't identify her Flame Type? What was going to happen to her? What if she embarrassed herself in front of everyone? What if she got seriously injured like she had with Mukuro? They wouldn't let that happen to her, right?
Before she opened the door to the Field, she took a deep breath and tried her best to school her features into a calm expression. This is it, Tsuna, don't screw this up, she told herself sternly before turning the knob and entering the Field.
The Field wasn't actually a field set in the open. It resembled an indoor sports hall, except it was larger than an average school's. The bleachers were full of people. Scanning her eyes over them quickly, she recognised familiar faces, like Basil's. He was dressed in a white outfit, similar to the people sitting around him. That must be CEDEF, she mused to herself. A few seats away were the Arcobaleno, then the Student Council and Successors. She could identify everyone in the bleachers, having gone through numerous files with Basil.
Her dad was nowhere in sight, something Tsuna had to release a sigh of relief at. However, she saw Giotto walking up to her, and she instantly stiffened.
"Hey, Tsuna, are you feeling okay?" he asked her concernedly. "I'm fine," she answered shortly, avoiding his gaze. He sighed tiredly and ran a hand over his face. "Look Tsuna, I know you're still mad at me for what happened, but we can't keep going on like this. After today, we're going to have a serious talk between the two of us," he said sternly.
"Hey Hime," a voice interrupted them. Tsuna turned, only to stare at Enma, who was standing with a gentle smile on his face. "Enma!" she exclaimed, completely turning to ignore Giotto, who merely sighed and moved to a corner of the Field. He smiled back at her and ruffled her hair. "Don't worry, Hime. Just do your best," he encouraged, tapping her nose with a smile.
Tsuna laughed and waved his hand away. "I got it, Enma. You don't have to worry," she reassured, though she felt like she was lying to herself. "If you can't kick their asses, I'll be disappointed in you," Adel drawled, appearing behind Enma.
Enma elbowed Adel in the side, something she quickly dodged with a scowl. "Don't speak to Tsuna like that!" Enma scolded, earning an eye roll from Adel. "Seriously, squirt, don't injure yourself out there okay? I'm not going to nurse you back to health if you do," she snapped before turning to sit at the bleachers, grabbing Enma with her.
Tsuna fought the smile that rose to her lips. She knew Adel was merely expressing her concern for Tsuna. "Thanks Adel!" she shouted, giggling when she saw the tips of Adel's ears turn red in embarrassment.
Just then, Reborn approached her, and Tsuna desperately tried to quell the strange feeling that rose in her when she saw him. "Ready, Princess?" he asked as he drew closer to her.
"I don't get it, Reborn. Why can't we just use other methods to find my Flame Type? We know this can go terribly wrong," she whispered softly, so no one would hear them.
"I have faith in you, Princess. I'm sure your Flames will be strong enough to break the dud ring. Besides, this is the easiest and fastest way to find out and train your Flames," Reborn answered back in a quiet tone. Spotting the uncertainty in Tsuna's eyes, Reborn let out a light chuckle before reaching down to cup her chin in his hand. "Hey, look at me," he ordered. When warm brown amber eyes met his, he said sternly, "All those days of training didn't go to waste, okay? You've progressed well. If something goes wrong, we'll step in to help you." His hand slowly slid down until it was resting gently on her neck. "So relax, okay?"
Tsuna could feel her heartrate increase. God, this man was doing weird things to her. "Okay," she answered with a small smile. Reborn shot her a smirk before letting his hand fall.
"Our guests are here," Giotto announced as the doors opened.
In stepped quite a number of people, who quickly formed a line upon entering.
"Welcome, Varia," Giotto said formally. "We've been expecting you."
Tsuna let out a small puff of breath. Looks like her predictions had been correct. The room was oddly silent and tense.
"Hello, Giotto-kun! Once this fight is over, can we fight your Successors? It's been a while since I've had a proper fight!" a man crowed. He had a half-shaven head, with green hair hanging down the side of his face. He was dressed in the trademark Varia costume, with an ostentatious orange scarf around his neck. Tsuna instantly recognised him as the Sun Flame of Varia, the infamous Lussuria.
"I'll be waiting for a challenge with you to the extreme!" a voice from the bleachers called out, a voice that Tsuna recgonised as Ryohei's. His comment brought a friendly smile from Lussuria. "It's been too long, Ryo-kun!" he called out, blowing a kiss to Ryohei, earning laughter from the bleachers.
The files had been right after all. Varia was close to Vongola, but…
"Tch. This is taking too much time. Where's the scum we were promised to fight?" a rough voice interrupted. The man had short hair with a fringe that dropped into his eyes. He had scars on his face, but that didn't ruin how handsome he was. A strange fur scarf rested lazily around his shoulders. He was none other than the leader of Varia, Xanxus.
"Don't call my sister scum, Xanxus," Giotto said in a strained voice. Xanxus glared at him. "I can call her whatever I like. I refuse to recognise her as the Vongola Princess. She doesn't have any Flames, how is she expected to be the one to fulfil the prophecy? She's nothing but a weak teenage girl," he scoffed.
Tsuna could feel herself bristle at his comments. No matter how handsome this guy was, or how his entire stance screamed danger, she couldn't shrug off how much of a jerk he was. "Talking about me, Xanxus?" she voiced innocently, stepping out from behind Reborn as she walked over to Varia, stopping once she was beside Giotto.
"Eh, she can recongise us?" a bored voice asked. It belonged to someone with bright green hair hidden under a large frog hat. "Yes, I can. You're Fran, disciple of Mukuro. You're the stand-in Mist Flame of Varia when Mammon is with the Arcobaleno," Tsuna answered casually.
"Ushishishi, she actually knows us? Then, little girl, tell me, who am I?" a voice suddenly interrupted. He had blond hair with a fringe that covered his eyes, with a silver crown upon his head. "You're Belphegor, also known as Bel. You were previously a Prince, and you're the Storm Flame of Varia. The man who challenged Ryohei-senpai is Lussuria, the Sun Flame. Next to Xanxus is Leviathon, the Lightning Flame. The next one is Superbi Squalo, the strongest swordsman known, the Rain Flame and Vice-Captain of Varia," Tsuna rattled off, recounting all the hours she spent with Basil pouring over files after files after files.
"Impressive! So the Vongola Princess did her homework!" Lurssuria cooed, stepping forward towards Tsuna. "She's such a cutie!" Lussuria continued, reaching out to pat Tsuna's cheeks. "I'm so sorry we have to meet in such an unpleasant situation, dearie," he said softly, just for Tsuna to hear, and she was struck by the sincerity in his voice.
"VOI! Get back here, Lussuria!" Squalo exclaimed. "She's someone who doesn't know her Flame Type is, we're just wasting time here," he continued angrily. "If it weren't for Reborn to have requested this, I wouldn't have bothered."
Tsuna knew that there would be a lot of people who didn't approve of her as the alleged Vongola Princess. Firstly, she was so Dame, with no Flames, and with her sudden appearance and the stupid mysterious prophecy, she couldn't blame the Varia for being hostile towards her.
"I agree. This is like babysitting a teen. How do we even know she's of royal Vongola blood?" Levi questioned, a sceptical look on his face.
"She has the V tattoo, Levi. Just like everyone who has royal Vongola blood," Giotto answered quietly, pulling down his shirt collar to show the obvious V mark on his collarbone. "Well, she's obviously not showing hers," Bel scoffed.
In reply, Tsuna reached for the rubber band on her wrist, pulling her hair into a high ponytail. She reached into her gym bag and withdrew her two leather gloves.
"What's she doing? She's not even dressed for battle in that ridiculous sweater," Fran said in his usual bored tone.
Tsuna took a leisurely sip of water before placing her water bottle back down on the bench, next to her gym bag. She could feel prickles of anger run through her veins. Varia kept looking down on her, and she wasn't going to allow it. She removed the sweater she had on, rolling back her shoulders before reaching for her weapon holsters, sliding them on with ease. The familiar weight on her thighs and forearms brought her some form of comfort. She slid on her leather gloves before making her way back to Varia.
"Is this proof enough that I'm of royal Vongola blood?" Tsuna asked softly, a gloved hand reaching to tug the strap of her tank top to the side, showing the V birthmark to everyone. Soft murmurs erupted from the bleachers. Tsuna released her grip, allowing the strap to fall back into place.
"Maybe it is, but this doesn't prove you're the Vongola Princess. The dud ring on your finger is a clear testament to that," Xanxus called out lazily, causing the murmurs to die down immediately. He shot her a challenging look.
"That I can't deny, but that's why you've all gathered here, haven't you? To see if I am really Princess material," Tsuna replied arrogantly.
"Ok, here are the rules. Firstly, no killing allowed. Secondly, only one Varia member is allowed to battle Tsuna at a time. Thirdly, if Tsuna gets severely hurt, we're stopping the fight. Fourthly, Varia, refrain from using your Flames unless Tsuna gets hers in the middle of the fight." Giotto said sternly, facing both Tsuna and Varia. After earning nods from both parties, Giotto moved to the side, along with other Varia members.
"I'm your first opponent, honey," an innocent voice said. Tsuna glanced into Lussuria's sunglasses. Tsuna couldn't help but feel worried. According to what Giotto had said, it was technically allowed for her to get injured unless it was a deadly injury. Even if the Varia wasn't using their Flames, their combat ability alone was enough to wipe her out.
"I'm really sorry, darling. I'll try not to go too hard on you," Lussuria said sympathetically. Tsuna appreciated how nice Lussuria was being, but she couldn't help but feel slightly irritated at how everyone seemed to be belittling her. She learned martial arts before, goddammit. And her few days of intense training had to count for something, right?
"The fight begins now!" Giotto shouted.
Instantly, Lussuria shot forward, not giving Tsuna a chance to react as he aimed a punch for her stomach. Once she had regained her senses, Tsuna dodged, but Lussuria's fist glanced off the side of her waist, causing her top to have a slight tear there. Tsuna cursed how slow she was as she scurried backwards, dodging another punch that Lussuria aimed, this time at her head.
Remember your training, Tsuna, goddammit, she cursed to herself, ducking as Lussuria aimed another quick punch to her head. However, just as she doubled over, Lussuria took the chance to life his knee, aiming to knee her in the stomach. Tsuna's eyes widened. Lussuria's Muay Thai skills were lethal. She had to escape this.
Tsuna jumped and landed on Lussuria's knee, the one that was meant to kick her in the stomach. Her other leg extended and she swung it hard, aiming for his chin. To her surprise, her leg connected with the man's chin and his face was knocked backwards.
Tsuna leapt off his knee, landing on her feet lightly. Suddenly, a sharp force knocked her off her feet, causing her to crash to the floor heavily. Lussuria had kicked her legs, forcing her to the ground. In a few seconds, Lussuria had Tsuna pinned to the floor.
"Is this your Princess, Giotto?" she heard Xanxus drawl lazily. "It's been five minutes, and Lussuria has her cornered already. Give up, Giotto. Your sister can't possibly be our Princess."
Tsuna found herself getting angrier. This Xanxus was a serious jerk. She quickly jerked her knee out of Lussuria's grasp, using it to ram it into his stomach roughly. He rolled of her with a pained gasp, and Tsuna immediately took the chance to stand and reach for her gun, pointing it straight at Lussuria's head.
"Oh? What an interesting change of events!" Lussuria chuckled, lying on the floor, a gun pointed at his head. "Boss, you have to admit, she's pretty good," he called out, not seeming concerned that Tsuna had a gun pointed at him. "But if I had used my Flames, Tsuna, you would have probably died," he said softly.
Tsuna couldn't believe her eyes. Had she really just beat a Varia member? Lussuria, no less?
"Okay, that's enough. Lussuria, your round with Tsuna is over. Who's the next member?" Giotto called out, his voice holding a tinge of pride at how quickly Tsuna recovered.
"Ushishishi, I guess that'll be me," a voice snickered, and Bel stood from the bleachers, jumping into the Field with a lazy grin. "Lussuria, you're such an embarrassment to Varia," he said. "Even without my Flames, I bet I can beat this girl, ushishishi."
Tsuna felt uneasy. Beating Lussuria had been okay because both of them had used martial arts, but Bel used knives. This was a long range battle. She couldn't use her martial arts to help her. Only her knives and guns could help her.
"Ushishi," Bel let out another sinister giggle as he drew his knives from his coat, holding them up almost lazily before throwing them at Tsuna. Tsuna instantly tried to dodge, only to gasp in surprise when one knife cut the side of her cheek.
"Hime!" she heard a voice call out in alarm. She recognised the voice as Enma's.
"Ushishi, is that your boyfriend, Vongola Princess?" Bel mocked before shooting another line of knives at her. Tsuna tried to dodge again, only to gasp in pain when one lodged into her side.
How did that happen? She was very sure she had dodged the knives!
"Hime! Be careful!" she heard Enma call out again.
Tsuna gritted her teeth in pain as she straightened up, but she levelled her gun straight at Bel, before firing quickly. The grin on his face only grew wider as he dodged it with ease. "Is that all there is to you, Vongola Princess?" he called out mockingly.
Tsuna ignored the blood dripping from her side, focusing instead on how Bel was holding his knives. How had they hit her even after her dodging? She noticed a thin, almost invisible string on the top his knives, and with a shock, realised that the string from his knives was connected to her. When had that happened?
When Bel threw his next string of knives at her, Tsuna let his knives fly at her for a while before quickly pulling a knife from her thigh holster and cutting the lines that connected the knives to her. She saw Bel's small drop as she ran towards him, throwing her knife straight at him.
Bel dodged, but not in time. Her knife had slit the side of his arm. He stared at the trickle of blood that had appeared.
Oh no. Tsuna had completely forgotten. The file had stated that Bel went into a complete rage when he saw his own blood.
"Is… is this my blood?" he whispered crazily.
Immediately, Tsuna cocked her gun and aimed it at him, ready to fire, only for Bel to suddenly look up at her and aim a ball of Storm Flames at her.
"Hey, Bel, stop! You're not supposed to use your flames!" she heard Lussuria call out.
Bel ignored his Family member as he advanced towards Tsuna, shooting another stream of strong Storm Flames at her.
"My blood – my royal blood – " she heard him murmur crazily as he flung knife after knife at her.
"Giotto, you have to stop this! Tsuna can't battle him when she has no Flames!" she heard Enma call out, panicked.
"No, Giotto. Don't do anything. Leave the fight as it is," a voice said coldly. Tsuna's eyes widened. Reborn?
"Reborn, this is insane! Tsuna's in danger!" Giotto protested.
"If she's the true Vongola Princess, she'll be able to deal with this," Reborn replied coolly, his eyes flickering to meet Tsuna's own wide ones.
Reborn… why? I thought… I thought you would protect me.
Does… does the Vongola Princess matter to you so much that you'll risk my life for it?
Tsuna was so caught up with her thoughts that she didn't notice the line of knives headed straight for her stomach.
When they hit her, she felt pain erupt in her entire body, and a strange scream filled the air. Dimly, Tsuna recognised it as her own. A gulf of angry red Flames hit her square in the face, and she was thrown backwards by its force into the wall. She could feel the impact force all the air from her lungs as rubble scattered all around her.
"TSUNA!" she heard Giotto yell frantically.
"See? What did I tell you? Not the Princess," she heard Xanxus scoff.
However, all this was heard dimly by her. Her vision was darkening, and the pain in her was intensifying.
They don't care about my survival. They only want to see if I'm really the Princess. They don't care about me.
But… but Reborn had said…
He doesn't care. He only wants the real Princess. And you're not the real Princess.
What's with the big deal about the real Princess anyway?
Am I … really not the Princess?
What, did you think you were someone special, Tsuna? You're no one. You're just Dame Tsuna.
As these thoughts flooded her head, Tsuna could feel her ring finger vibrating wildly. She could dimly hear other voices in the background, shouting.
Crack. The vibrations of her ring had stopped. Suddenly, Tsuna felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders, off her chest.
Her ring finger felt lighter.
Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice filled her head. Finally, that stupid dud ring is off. She heard the voice say. She recognised it as her own voice, but lower, more sultry, and more calm.
Who are you? She tried to ask the voice. The voice chuckled in response.
I'm you, silly. I've always been part of you, but now that that dud ring is gone, I can take over now. The voice replied soothingly. Let's show them who the real Vongola Princess really is, hmmm?
Suddenly, a strange strength filled Tsuna's entire body. Her eyes snapped open. She could feel the pain slowly ebb away, although she could tell that her wounds were still bleeding.
Ahhh, it feels so good to have that ring off. There's nothing to stop us now. The voice continued. You're really tired, aren't you, Tsuna? Here, rest. Let me take over.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PAGE BREAK~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/N: Um I'm going to change POV here. It won't be in Tsuna's POV anymore. Just a head's up.
When Tsuna stepped out from the debris Bel had caused, everyone's breath caught.
Tsuna was almost unrecognizable.
Her normally warm brown eyes flecked with amber was now replaced with glowing orange eyes, and a large orange flame danced on her forehead. Her wounds were still evident, but this Tsuna calmly removed the knives from her stomach calmly, not even flinching in pain.
"Tsuna?" Giotto breathed out in disbelief.
"All this talk about me not being the Vongola Princess is making me sick," Tsuna said. Except her voice had changed too. It was deeper, calmer and more melodious. She lifted her palm, showing the dud ring clasped in her palm.
Gasps could be heard from the room.
"She broke the dud ring!"
"That's impossible to do on her own!"
With a wicked smile, Tsuna clenched her fist, and her fist briefly glowed red. When she unclenched her fist, metal powder drifted to the floor. She had used Storm Flames to disintegrate the ring.
"She has two flames?"
"That's an incredibly rare power to possess…"
Tsuna stepped out of the rubble, a smile on her lips. "That dud ring kept me hidden for quite some time, but now that it's gone, things are going to change, aren't they?" she mused. Her eyes flickered towards Bel.
"I believe this belong to you?" she said, before throwing the knives at him, pinning him to the wall with knives embedded in his clothes.
"What a dirty cheater… you weren't supposed to use your Flames, but you did," she said, shaking her head, as if she was disappointed. "Did all of you really doubt me? I am the Vongola Princess. Without the dud ring, you can't stop me from growing and expanding." She finished her sentence with a wicked smile.
With a wave of her hands, a yellow glow emitted from her hands and she began to heal the knife wounds on herself, doing it almost absentmindedly.
"Holy shit, that's three Flames that she can control."
"This isn't real. This can't be. It's impossible for one to control so many."
Tsuna shot the bleachers a sweet smile. "But I'm the Vongola Princess. I can do anything."
As if to prove her point, she shot a column of red flames near Bel's head, causing the wall to crumble next to him.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt him. It's unbecoming of a Princess to hurt others, after all," she said, giggling. "Ahhh, it feels good to unleash my powers after wearing that dud ring," she said happily, stretching a hand out, where a purple Flame appeared. Then she snapped her fingers, and the Flame colour changed to a calming blue, then an electrifying green.
"She can control all the Flames."
"But that's impossible!"
"Princess, that's enough. You've proven your status as Princess already," Reborn said, stepping forward towards this new Tsuna.
Tsuna pouted. "But I was having so much fun!" she laughed. "And you really hurt my feelings you know, leaving me to die like that."
"You need to snap out of Hyper Dying Will mode, Tsuna," he said sternly. "The danger's gone. It's over. Come back."
"Why is her Hyper Dying Will mode like a different person entirely?" Giotto wandered, half-horrified, half in awe.
"They're one person, but the dud ring repressed her Flames for too long, causing the sudden switch in personality," Reborn answered in a low tone.
"Hime? Hime, come on, you can calm down," a voice said. Enma slowly placed his hands on Tsuna's waist, turning her to stare at him.
"Enma?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Yes, Hime. You've done enough. You can snap out of Hyper Dying Will mode now," he said gently.
"I trust that I'll be safe with you," she said, before suddenly collapsing into Enma's arms.
The Flames on her forehead died out, and when Enma shook her awake, her eyes were back to normal again.
"What happened?" Tsuna asked in her normal voice, looking around, eyes widening at the sight of Bel pinned to the wall and the debris that littered the floor.
Reborn let out a sigh. "Looks like there's a lot of explaining to do."
