Okay this is the important.
I haven't been doing nothing since the last updates. I've been working and going to school. Even outside of that, I am simply stuck. It would be simple if it was just a little writer's block. The problem is that while I am not at a block, I am currently standing at a fork in the road to two ways that I could do this, both of which have their own pros and cons. While those who I know that have been reading the story are helpful, definitive answers are troublesome with small numbers of opinions. So I have no choice if I want to continue but to bring up the two possibilities I am deadlocked with and let the majority decide.
It would be so much easier if I only liked one of them, but both methods are not only effective yet also flowing the equal amounts. As it is I am at an impasse with no end in sight due to my own indecision. So onto the choices.
1. Time Jump: Using this method, I would simply have the next chapter take place during the first week of Hogwarts and summarize all the events of the summer on Nico's side using flashbacks and references to situations.
Pro: Would be going straight into the heart of the story.
Con: Missing out on Percy POV and gradual development.
OR
2. Linear Continuation: With this, I would have the next chapter likely show most of Percy's situation before changing off onto Nico and following Nico throughout getting settled in with the Order of the Phoenix with the peppering of Percy POV's throughout it.
Pro: Plenty of character and situational development with the opportunity of plenty of explanation for anyone not intimately familiar with the fandoms.
Con: Slower pacing and delay on the core of the story.
In the end I will leave this choice in the hands of the readers. I will take a final count on Saturday and begin writing the next chapter based on what the vote deduces. If all goes well the next chapter will be up by next Sunday. I just need your cooperation. So let the voting commence!
