Saturday morning and I had to dispose of Gilio. I could have had someone do it for me, but you know the saying, if you want the job done right the first time you gotta do it yourself.
It's not that I didn't trust those around me, it was just at this particular moment I didn't trust anyone.
I had gotten the heads up last night from my inside source that I am on the target list, and that my little friends were planning on paying me a visit. The problem was that all my source knew was that they were coming. I had no time, no date, nothing, just that it would be happening very soon.
I think Bella's father had something to do with this. Since that afternoon, he had tried to contact Bella several times. I insisted that she answered the call but she refused. Bella's final straw came when the caller id displayed her mother. She picked up the phone and threw it against the wall and then went calmly to bed.
I went up after her. She was still in the guest room, and of course she locked the door. I contemplated kicking the door in, but as I leaned closer, I could hear her crying. That was too much for me to handle. I don't do tears.
I decided to leave her alone and spent the night by my lonesome self.
She seemed to be in a better mood this morning, there was no sign of the emotional wreck she was last night.
"Morning," I said.
"Good morning. You cooked?" She asked eyeing the pancakes and muffins on the table.
"Fuck no," I said. "I sent Jasper out for breakfast."
"Hmm, and here I thought you might have a nice quality about you," she mumbled.
"Hey, I'm a very nice guy."
She looked at me with a raised brow.
"I'm nice to look at," I defended.
"Tooting your own horn there."
"Eat your fucking breakfast," I said, pushing a plate of pancakes with everything on them towards her.
She ate in silence. She would occasionally look up at me from her plate. She wanted to say something but held her tongue.
"I'm gonna be in my office, when you finish drop in, I have something for you," I said leaving before she had a chance to reply.
I sat in my chair looking over hours of surveillance footage. I was sure Captain Swan was behind the new investigation, but with my guy not being able to give me any more info, I needed to do my own research. I had seen the same car on the screen go up and down the street maybe three or four times a day, it was evidently clear that it was an unmarked police car.
My next challenge was getting Bella out of the house. I couldn't clean the place up with her here. How was I going to explain to her why Emmett and I were carrying out cash and weapons?
There was a knock at the door that put a stop to my thoughts.
"Come in," I called out.
Bella opened the door and leaned against the frame.
"Sit your ass in a chair, don't just lean there," I said.
She rolled her eyes, but she did take a seat right in front of me.
"So, you have something for me?" She asked with a strange expression on her face, one I have yet to see.
"Here," I said, sliding over box with a new phone in it.
"It's a phone?"
"Praise the lord, her eyes are working."
"Don't be an asshole." She narrowed her eyes.
"Yes wife, it's a phone. Considering you felt the need to break yours last night I figured you needed a new one," I said.
"You know I can buy my own damn phone?" She said.
I thought she would be thankful, not pissed. What the fuck?
"I wanted to get you one. What, I can't buy something for my wife?"
She opened and closed her mouth a few times. Whatever it was she was about to say, she obviously reconsidered. That might have been a smart move on her part.
"Thank you, I guess," she finally said.
She opened the box and took the phone out, turning it on.
"You have already opened this," she stated.
"I have," I confessed. "I've put your old card in. I've also taking it upon myself to block your father and mother's numbers, as well as your ex-fiancés." As well as had a tracker put in, but Bella didn't need to know that.
"He was not my fiancé," she raised her voice.
"Your father obviously thought he was."
"Yeah, well, he's full of shit. Peter was never my fiancé."
"What was he then?"
I'm an asshole, I have to ask.
"It's none of your business what he was," she said. She grabbed the phone off of the table and headed for the door.
"Bella," I called out.
"What?" She turned back around throwing her hands up in frustration.
I sat back in my chair enjoying the sight before me. She was fucking priceless with her flushed face and pissed off expression.
"Are you going to spit whatever the fuck it is you have to say out or can I go?" She asked.
Because she was being too damn adorable right now, I decided to ignore her little outburst.
"Do you have any plans for today?" I asked.
Back to business, I had to get her out of the house somehow.
"Why?"
"I have some business to take care of."
"And that concerns me how?"
"I don't want you to be alone all day."
"That's the best lie you can come up with?" She questioned.
"It's not a lie."
"I'm not that stupid Edward. You want me out of the house, why?"
"I told you I have business to take care of with Emmett," I said.
Out of all the women in the world, why did I have to be stuck with a difficult and nosey one?
"Whatever. You do whatever you want. If you must know, I do have plans, I'm going shopping with Rose a little later, is that good enough for you?"
"When is Rose coming by?" I asked.
"She isn't, I'm going to meet her at our usual Saturday stop."
"And that is where?"
"Little bistro on East ninety-fourth."
"I'll have Jasper take you," I said.
"I don't want Jasper to take me. I don't want anyone of your…whatever they are, taking me anywhere. I will catch a cab like I always do."
"How about you take my car," I offered.
"I prefer the cab."
"Well, tough, you're taking the car."
"No I'm not," she said.
"Your choices are the car, Jasper, or you're not going anywhere," I said.
Her cheeks puffed out and her face reddened. She was pissed as fuck right about now. I bet she had already killed me ten times over in her head.
"Fine, I'll take your stupid car, happy?" She finally spat out.
"Very. Now run along wife, your husband is a busy man today."
She turned on her heel and stormed out of my office.
"She looks pissed. What the fuck did you do to her?" Emmett asked, shutting the door behind him.
"Women. You can never make them happy," I said throwing my hands up.
"Do me a favor, when you see my darling wife again, give her the keys to my car."
"Why me? Do it yourself," the idiot said.
"Because if I have to cross paths with her again today, I may end up killing her."
"Give the girl a break. She's doing pretty good considering that she's puts up with your moody ass."
"Go fuck yourself," I said.
Emmett leaned back in his seat and chuckled like a motherfucker.
"Carlisle is going be here with the van soon, in fact, the fucker's late," I said looking at my watch.
"All the shit is the cupboard down there," I said pointing to the spot behind him. I had managed to gather everything and put it all in my office while Bella was asleep last night.
I knew better than to keep any shit at my place. I did however have a few weapons, cash, as well as important documents that I didn't want to leave unguarded at my secret location. I wasn't worried about the cash, it was the files that I couldn't afford to lose or let end up in the hands on the FBI.
"Oh, and make sure she doesn't see you," I added.
"Where are you going?"
"Not your business."
I slammed the door to my office leaving Emmett to his task. I trusted him, this wasn't the first time he had done this and he hasn't failed me yet. Besides, I had a phone call to make.
"Hello," Jasper answered on the first ring.
"What's going on?"
"Nothing much, same shit different day."
"I need your help with a renovation I'm planning," I said.
"Always happy to help. What are we renovating?"
"How about you come by the club tonight and I'll show you?"
"No problem, see you then."
I needed to get rid of one of our own, and the best person I had was Jasper, why?
Because he was fucking loyal, he was quick, and he covered his tracks and mine well. And like me, he doesn't give two fucks about how he kills.
I needed my cousin James taken out fast. A little birdy whispered in my ear that he was feeding information to our little friends in Jersey about me and the family, which has earned him a one way ticket to hell.
"I thought you were busy?"
The wife's voice brings me out of my thoughts.
"What are doing down here. Shouldn't you be getting ready or doing some shit like that?" I asked looking around for Emmett.
"You're a little jumpy," she said. "Are you hiding naked people around the house again?" She smiled tilting her head to the right.
"Cute. We back to that shit again?"
"We most certainly are."
"I'm sensing you're still pissed off."
"You sensed correctly, and now you've fucked up my afternoon," she said trying to pass me up the stairs.
"How the fuck have I fucked up your afternoon?" I asked, following behind her.
"I thought I wouldn't have to see you for the rest of the day, yet here you are following me."
"You're my wife, and I fucking live here."
"You said you had business to do, how was I supposed to know that meant home duties," she threw her hands up in frustration.
Fucking brat.
"You are a real bitch sometimes," I said without even thinking.
It was no wonder she slapped the taste out of my mouth. My head turned with the force of her hand. She really was a strong little thing, and I think I may have underestimated her but right now she just fucked herself up.
"The only bitch in this house is standing in front of me right now," she said.
She went to close the guest bedroom door in my face, but I put my foot out stopping the door.
I pushed it wide open and stormed towards her.
She took a step back and with each step I took towards her until her butt hit the dresser.
She had a look on her face that I have never seen before.
She was scared of me right now.
Good. I can imagine what the look on my face told her.
I came to a stop right in front of her. I didn't hold back, I got right in her personal space putting both hands on either side of the dresser. She wasn't going anywhere.
"Look at me," I demanded.
She slowly lifted her eyes to mine. They were red and watery, but nothing spilled over.
"You touch me again and I am going to snap your fingers off," I said slowly.
Her eyes widened in shock at my words.
"No more nice guy. Do I make myself clear?"
She nodded. Her whole body was shaking and she was breathing heavily.
"Calm the fuck down. Go wash your face, get dressed and go to my office, Emmett will give you my keys. I'm going to take a shower."
I grabbed her chin forcing her to look at me once more.
"I won't be home tonight, so I'll see you tomorrow. Be good," I said.
I kissed the side of her mouth and let her go. She ran into the bathroom and locked the door.
"Fuck me," I said pulling on my hair.
Fucking women.
Why?
Why?
Why?
I looked up at the ceiling hoping God would appear and give me an answer of why he choose to stick me with such an irritating woman who is constantly testing what little patience I have.

After taking one of the longest ass showers that I have ever taken in my life, I finally emerged from the bedroom dressed in track pants and a wife beater and ready to bury that motherfucker.
Yeah, probably a stupid idea to take a shower before I finished the job, but I needed something to calm me down and it did the trick.
I checked the guest room before heading down. There was no sign of Bella in there, she wasn't in the bathroom or walk-in either.
Damn.
I didn't mean to scare her, I know I fucked up, but she shouldn't have hit me, she started it, it was her fault.
Who am I kidding, it was my fault. I'm an asshole, she's just going to have to learn to accept that.
As I made my way to the office, Carlisle ran past me almost knocking me on my ass.
"What the fuck?" I called out.
"I gotta shit," he yelled back before I heard the bathroom door slam shut.
I know that bastard didn't just say he's going to take a shit in my house.
Motherfucker!
Was there something in the air today making everyone act like dicks? First my wife acting like a bitch, and now this shitting fucker leaving his nasty crap in my toilet. What else could go wrong today?
Back in my office, I turned my drawers inside out looking for the keys to the Mercedes, it was as if they had disappeared into fucking air.
Where the fuck were those damn keys? I know I put them in the top drawer.
"Emmett!" I yelled.
I slammed the drawer shut giving up the search.
"Yo," Emmett said popping his head through the door.
"Where are the keys to the Mercedes?"
"I gave them to your wife, as you asked," he said.
"I told you to give her the keys to the Range Rover," I yelled.
This is not fucking happening right now…
My wife…
"No, you said give her the keys to your car so I did," he shrugged as if it were no big deal.
Fuck!
Fuck!
Fuck!
"FUCK!" I screamed pulling on my hair.
"What's the problem?" Carlisle asked coming back from the bathroom.
"My wife is driving around the city with a dead body in the trunk."
"Seriously?" Emmett asked.
"Oh, this is too good to be true," Carlisle said
The ass was almost on the floor rolling over with laughter.
I failed to see what was funny in any of this.
"Fuck man," Emmett said.
Carlisle was still laughing his ass off.
"What the fuck is it you find so funny?" I said.
I was pulling my hair out over here.
"The wife who you're trying to keep everything hush, hush from is currently driving around the city with a dead body in the trunk of your car."
I picked up a paperweight off of my desk and aimed it at his head. He ducked out of the way and it made contact with the wall instead, creating a large hole.
"Can't we trace the car's GPS or her phone?" Carlisle asked after his laughter died down.
"YES."
Fuck, why didn't I think of that?
"How long ago did she leave?" I asked.
"About forty-five minutes," Emmett said.
"Forty…?"
I had a long ass shower.
"She couldn't have gotten far. Chances are she hasn't even opened the trunk yet," Carlisle said.
"And if she has?"
"Oh, how did that get in there?" He smiled.
"You're a dead man, I swear you are dead."
"Let's find your wife and Gilio's dead ass, and then you can kill my dead ass."
I was too paranoid to do anything. I mean my wife had a dead body in the trunk.
What if she was pulled over?
What if she opened the trunk and someone saw the body?
"Isn't someone with her?" Emmett asked.
"Jasper usually is, but he's working on something for me today."
"That's a stupid move on your part my man," Carlisle said.
I drew my piece out and pointed it square in between his eyes.
"Before you shoot, I found your wife," he said.
"Spit it out," I said, gun still drawn although Carlisle didn't seem fazed.
"You're not going to believe this," Carlisle said. "She's left the city."
"What the hell?"
I tucked my piece back in my pants and took the ipad from his hands. The green flashing light was flashing just outside of Ossining. That doesn't make sense.
What the hell is she doing there?
"Where is she going?" Emmett asked.
"I have no fucking clue."
"Carlisle call the blond friend, she was supposed meet her for lunch."
"What makes you think I have her number?"
"JUST DO IT!"
He picked the wrong moment to fuck around. I was in no mood.
"Put it on speaker," I ordered.
"What," the blond answered.
"How you doing sweetheart?" Carlisle asked.
"Fuck off."
"No, don't hang up. Wait a second," Carlisle insisted.
"This better be good," I heard Rose sigh.
"Are you and Bella having lunch now, shopping, or what not?"
"No, she canceled said she has some errands to take care off." She sounded bored.
"So you aren't with her?" Carlisle asked.
"What the fuck did I just say," Rose snapped and hung up on him.
"You're a smooth talker," Emmett said.
"She's a difficult one," Carlisle said.
"Let's go," I yelled at them both.
"She's miles ahead of us, we'll never catch up to her," Emmett said.
"You're not coming. Stay here and get rid of that shit. Carlisle and I will go."
Emmett raised his hand in a salute.
"Fine by me."
~Vegas~
"Where is she now?" I asked.
I was driving like a maniac, Carlisle was riding shotgun with the ipad tracking Bella's every move.
"She turned off of Washington Street into the Blue Mountain Reservation area," he said.
"I am going to kill her."
This was it, this was my final straw. What the fuck did she think she was doing? Where was she going?
Has this been her plan all day?
Maybe this is why she didn't want Jasper to tag along with her.
What if she's working with her father?
What if he told her who I was and convinced her to help?
"Whatever bullshit is running through your head, stop it. You're driving in dirt," Carlisle said.
I jerked the car back on the road not giving a fuck if I sideswiped anyone, they shouldn't be in my way.
But there was no one on this part of the road besides us at this time. Good, I won't have to worry about witnesses when I get my hands on her.
"You're gonna have to do something. The signal keeps dropping out."
"I'm going as fast as this piece of shit will let me drive," I said, slapping my hand on the steering wheel of the Range Rover. The thing went fast, but right now it wasn't fast enough.
"Signal gone," Carlisle said.
"Fuck."
Fucking technology and morons that do a half ass jobs. It wasn't the tracker on the Mercedes that was the problem, it was the ipad losing the signal.
"That's where she turned off," Carlisle pointed to a narrow path taking us off the road.
"She could be anywhere in here," I said. "Got any signal back?"
"Follow the road. She's in a sedan, she couldn't have gotten far without getting it stuck somewhere."
I followed the trail until it came to an end.
Left?
Right?
Left. The road became more narrow, the trees and bushes where scraping the side of the Range Rover, I can only imagine what my Mercedeslooked like. I will kill her double just for ruining my car.
"There, stop the car," Carlisle said.
I killed the engine and climbed out.
I could make out the bright headlights not that far from where we were now. I took my piece out. Carlisle and I made our way through the shrubs and bushes trying not to make too much noise.
There was the wife…kneeling by the side of the car. Her head was down and her back was to us. I don't think she heard us approach or if she did, she gave no indication.
I slowly came up behind her and put the gun to the back of her head clicking it in place.
Her breath hitched and her head lifted up.
"Hello wife," I said.
"Edward," she breathed a sigh of relief when she heard my voice.
"Where's the body?" Carlisle asked, looking in the trunk.
"Where's the body Bella?" I asked.
"Ed," Carlisle called out.
I looked up at him. He monitored for me to lower my piece.
He was fucking nuts if he thought I would.
I lowered it from her head, but refused to put it away. I walked around to her front and crouched down to her level. I grabbed her chin and made her look at me.
"Where's the body?" I asked again.
She raised her hand and pointed behind me.
Carlisle went around. I turned my head but saw nothing behind me but dirt.
"No fucking way," Carlisle whispered.
"What did you do?" I asked turning back to face her.
She didn't?
She couldn't?
Could she?
"I buried him," she whispered.
My eyes nearly popped out of my head.
"You…buried him?"
I was in disbelief. Whatever I was expecting to find when I found her, this certainly wasn't it.
"She buried him."
Carlisle was in just as much disbelief as I was.
It wasn't until I crouched back down next to her again that I noticed to shovel to the side of her.
I picked it up and tossed it to Carlisle.
"Get rid of that and go. We'll follow soon," I said.
He was skeptical to leave. Probably because I said I was going to kill her.
"I'm not gonna do it, fuck off already. Get rid of that thing."
I said nothing until Carlisle was out of sight. I saw the lights of the Range rover come on and then disappear out of sight.
"I'm sorry," Bella said.
"Shut up."
I couldn't deal with any of this right now.
I helped her up off the ground, even dusted her off, and ever the gentleman I held the passenger door open for her.
We drove in silence for fifteen minutes until we were almost on the main road.
I was still trying to come to terms with what had just happened.
My wife buried a dead body in the woods.
My wife…Buried... a dead body... in the woods.
I was pissed as fuck.
I was lived.
I was….
I slammed the on the brakes and stopped the car. I climbed out and went to her side. I pulled her out by her upper arm.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Shut up," I spat.
I threw her over the hood of the Mercedes. She had a skirt on, which made things easier for me. I grabbed the hem of her panties and ripped them off of her before tucking them into my pocket.
I unzipped my pants and pulled my hard cock out. I have been hard ever since I discovered what she did.
There was no warning as I entered her, and no foreplay. This was nothing but pure animalistic need. It was something I couldn't control. I needed to fuck her, to have her in this way.
"Oh god," she moaned. Her hands clawing at the hood of the car.
"Not god baby, me. I'm the only one to do this to you," I said. "Only me."
~Vegas~
It was early in the morning when we were awoken by a loud bang.
"Police, everybody down."
"FUCK!" I said jumping out of bed.
Bella jumped up, startled by the loud banging and yelling.
I only had a minute at most before they would bang this door open and come in.
I searched frantically around the room for Bella's robe, when I finally found it, I threw it at her.
"Put it on now," I demanded.
She obeyed quickly.
"What's going on?" She asked.
"Everything is going to be okay," I said.
Taking my gun from the bedside and my wallet, I pulled her into my arms. I snuck the hand with the gun under her robe and put the piece in the waistband of her panties and tied her robe up.
"Call Mike," I said, handing her my wallet.
She nodded even though she looked scared shitless.
"Everything is going to be okay, all you have to do is call Mike."
The door was kicked opened making Bella jump back with a slight scream.
I felt hands on my back pushing me down on the floor. My hands were pulled behind my back. I'm not going to lie, that shit hurt, before I felt the cold metal snap over my wrists. Someone lifted me up by the back of my shirt.
I looked at Bella. I didn't want to leave her like this. She looked absolutely petrified, but I didn't have a choice right now. I couldn't go to her or offer any comfort at all. I hoped she would do what I told her to do.
