Chapter 7: Being Free
XxX
He never got to actually have a one on one chat with Takashi. Darui scowled at the realization of this, the rain pelting him like a thousand needles. His look alike in front of him remained emotionless, not making a move. He swore that he would do anything to prevent this person from passing. They couldn't have someone like her freeing Takashi. That would bring chaos to the shinobi world, no doubt. Tensing, Darui pulled out a kunai, watching as the one in front of him did the same.
"What do you want from Takashi?" He demanded as he started forward, clashing with their kunai. Sparks flew as they exchanged barrage after barrage, excess kunai scattered on to the ground. They both stood away from each other, both taking on different stances.
"Nothing at all. I only want to free him." Yuki replied, her voice feminine as it came out of Darui's own body.
Darui created his hand seals to use his Black Lightning while Yuki fell into a foreign stance, her arms poised in odd directions. Her knees were bent and one foot was placed behind her, stretched back while the other stayed in front. The white haired man narrowed his eyes at her strange position, immediately signaling the Raikage with his hand behind his back.
The Raikage stiffened at this, moving towards the door of the prison cells. He cracked his knuckles as he fell into his defensive stance, activating his chakra. If she tried to get through this door, she would need to come at him first.
"Doing that will only bring chaos to the shinobi world. You know that don't you?" Darui growled as the Black lightning coursed up and down his arm. Yuki let out a small chuckle as she tensed her muscles.
"Of course I know that, why do you think I'm doing it?" She replied as she exploded off of the ground, heading towards Darui at lightning speed.
"Here she comes!" He yelled as the Raikage widened his eyes. Darui whirled himself around into a circle, creating a whirlwind of black lightning, just as Yuki herself appeared on the other side of it. Summoning chakra to the bottom of his feet, Darui appeared behind Yuki and gave her a kick into the side.
Yuki gritted her teeth at the unexpected attack, feeling the bones in her body shattering from the chakra infused kick. As she was thrown to the side, she bounced on the wet ground, scratching the side of her face. Picking herself up, she caught a glimpse of the door that the Raikage was blocking; a steel door with a bolt on it. Hm, it shouldn't be that hard.
Glancing down at both of her hands, she reluctantly decided that she would have to resort to petty tricks. All in order to get into the door and release Takashi. Narrowing her eyes, she materialized the black lightning that she had stolen from Darui just now and clenched it into her fist, dispating. This was all she would need in order to open that door. She hoped it was all she would need.
Watching Darui and the Raikage carefully, she saw them both tense as she made a hand seal. With the white smoke around her, she knew it would soon disappear due to the rain. She would have to move fast. Darui immediately understood what she was up to and appeared next to the Raikage, creating his Black Tigers. Yuki suddenly appeared in front of him, now in her true form.
Right before both of their eyes, Yuki disappeared and reappeared through him as well as the Raikage. She made it inside the door within seconds. Darui whirled around in the rain, about to put his hands on the bolt when the Raikage's fist slammed into the door. The impact jarred the steel door off of its hinges, sending it inside.
Just as Yuki inserted the black lightning into the black and white block, the door was launched towards her. Immediately using her other skill, she phased through the door just as it passed through her body. It crashed into the wall on the other end of the corridor. As she let all of the chakra she stole go into the lock, the streaks of lightning disappeared and the entire cell was thrown open. Yuki had grabbed the bars and yanked them out of the rest of the cell. Tossing the door to the side, she was about to greet the smirking Takashi when a presence behind her stopped her.
"You. Won't. Take him anywhere." Darui said through a scowl, his hand coated with black lightning. He had it aimed at the back of her head.
Yuki met Takashi's gaze, giving him a questioning look. If she died on this mission, it would be on his hands. Takashi simply quirked his eyebrow at her, as if to say, I'm not going to help you out in any way. It's all up to you whether you die or not. I can escape on my own if I want. The door's open now. Yuki gritted her teeth at Takashi's expression, trying to calm her anger. Damn arrogant bastard. She needed to bring him back. Her boss would kill her if she didn't.
"Alright alright," Yuki started as she slowly turned around. "You win." She finished as she launched her arm out for his head, just as Darui moved his arm down for her head. Yuki managed to move her head to the side at the last minute, only her shoulder taking the jarring impact. As they both were hit with each other's attacks, blood splattered against the ground. Yuki spun on her heel and appeared next to Takashi, shattering the manacles with a dozen hits of her fingertips.
As soon as he was out, she grabbed Takashi by the arm and phased through the wall of the compound. She didn't expect the wall behind her to explode as the Raikage came barreling out. Unable to pick up her speed in time, the Raikage sent a jarring punch into her shoulder, launching her sideways. Pain contorting her face, Yuki's grip on Takashi loosened as she fell on to the soaked ground. Trying to get up to her feet, she groaned when a foot suddenly came down on to her back.
"Thank you, for releasing me, Yuki. It was a pleasure seeing you again. But I'm afraid I can't go back yet. I need the Stone of Light." Takashi stated as he glanced down at the furious woman under him.
"The one you stole! You kept the damn thing for yourself! We trusted you to find it and bring it back to us, but you took it all for yourself! You should die, bastard! I knew you we couldn't trust you!" Yuki spat acidly as she squirmed under his foot, gasping in pain when he added more weight to his foot, hearing something crack.
Darui and the Raikage stood in front of the two, watching the scene unfold before them. Takashi betrayed the woman. And now he was going to escape. In search for the Stone of Light. Which Naruto and the others went to hide. They would be in danger. That cannot happen. A grave look appeared over the Raikage's face as Darui snapped his fingers. About three dozen shinobi appeared from thin air, surrounding Takashi in a big circle.
"Do not let this man escape!" the Raikage ordered as he charged forward.

At the first sign of the electrifying pain in her shoulder, Sakura jolted from her sleep and gripped the mark tightly with her hand. She doubled over in pain when the sides of her head suddenly exploded with a huge headache. Widening her eyes, she stifled a cry of pain as her hands shot up to grip her head, her eyes shut. Sakura immediately knew it was her curse mark warning her that she was still there. Able to inflict pain on her at any time as she tried to possess her body again. Why was it doing this? What made the curse mark react after all of these years?!
These questions would have to be answered later. Stumbling out of her bed in her pajamas, she staggered towards the door with a hand outstretched. She needed air; anything to ease the pain. Her headache only pounded even more, the restless pulsing in her temples ceasing to end. Wrapping her hand around the knob, she pulled it open when a spike of pain racked her entire body. Caught off guard by the pain, Sakura fell against her opened door and on to her knees, her hands pressed against the cold floor in an effort to steady herself. With her hair over her eyes, she took in short breaths as she stared at the ground, her emerald eyes darting from place to place. She couldn't think.
"Sakura?" A muffled voice called her name.
Face it! I'll take over your body once more! You can't stop me, Sakura! The curse mark screamed into her head, compounding the effect of the headache even more. She clenched her fists in pain as she felt someone's presence next to her. A hand lightly touched her shoulder, resulting in her snapping her head up to see Kakashi gazing back at her with a wide eye.
He noticed her clammy and pale condition, suddenly aware of what was going on. By the look on her face Sakura was trying to brace the pain, trying to shove it aside as much as possible. Though it looked like she wouldn't last much longer. Considering this, he narrowed his silver eye towards her.
"It's the curse mark, isn't it?" He quietly said, catching her attention. Sakura blinked a few times in an effort to push the tears of pain away before nodding.
"I don't...I don't know why she's back." She replied as she shakily got up to her feet, her hands clammy as she held on to my arms for support. I raised an eyebrow at this. She?
"She?" Kakashi inquired, noticing a few other doors in the hallway opening. They probably noticed the noise by now. Sakura gazed back at him with a hesitant look in her eyes.
"When you were all gone the other day, I was meditating by the waterfall. She had taken human form and walked out of the waterfall, confronting me." She replied as she caught Naruto and Sasuke heading towards their direction with a concerned look in their eye.
"Is everything alright, Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked as he stopped next to them, his nightcap still on his head. Sakura gave him a small tired smile as she nodded.
"Yes, it's just that my curse mark is back." The news made Naruto and Sasuke jolt in surprise, eyes wide. So that's what the familiar presence was?
"What? How is that- but we destroyed it didn't we?" Naruto exclaimed as a look of confusion entered his blue orbs. Sakura shook her head, not having an answer. She didn't quite understand it either. Was it because of the Stone of Light?
"I don't know. I just have a really bad feeling..." She trailed off, bringing a hand up to the side of her face. She closed her eyes for a moment, relishing the silence that was now her mind. The pain had stopped. For now.
"Let's just hope that nothing happens while we're here." Kakashi replied, a grim look in his eye as he gazed at his former students. They all nodded in agreement.

Tenten glanced suspiciously at the circle of shinobi around her. They were leading her somewhere she didn't know. She shouldn't trust them in the slightest. So she remained on her guard. She knew that they had not taken her to the prison cells. They were nowhere near any. The group of them were walking through what seemed like an underground tunnel. Her footsteps echoed with the others as they remained silent. What was going on? Why did they need her?
It seemed endless; the walking. It wasn't until the leader of the shinobi or whoever they were stopped, did she realize that they were facing a steel door. Just where were they? And why was it under the Cloud village? As the door was slowly opened and she was led inside, she gaped in surprise at what she saw.
Her purple hair was cut short now, up to her chin. The look in her eyes had more purpose, and a deep thirst for blood. She stood in front of her with her arms crossed with a raised eyebrow as Tenten was brought to her.
"Why did you bring her? I asked for someone else, didn't I?" She growled as she met my gaze angrily. Her eyes definitely held more fire than before. Much more fire.
"I'm sorry, but she'll be a worthy subject, won't she?" One of the ninjas next to her said. Tenten stiffened at his words. Subject?
"Nice to see you too, Miu," Tenten said with a smirk.
