Mario Total Drama Superstars

Chapter 7

Last time on Mario Total Drama Superstars, Aqua left due to certain circumstances, and the teams had to solve some puzzles to win. Braixen and Treecko argued, Link and Zelda got back together, and the Stars lost for the third time in a row. Who will be next to leave? Find out now, on Mario Total Drama Superstars!

Link skipped along a path. "I'm so happy, because everything worked out just fine!"

Luigi looked at him inquisitively. "What's got you so happy?"

Link sighed happily. "Zelda and I are dating again!"

Luigi smiled. "That's good to hear."

Link carried on skipping.

Abygail looked at him. "That's a funny looking walk. I like it!"

Link looked down at her. "Abygail! My favourite puppy! Have this picnic basket as an apology gift."

Abygail looked confused. "Apologise for what?"

Link blushed. "For voting you?"

Abygail looked him in the eye. "That was you? Then may Hylia have mercy on your soul." She bounded away. "Thanks for the food though!"

Corrin was talking to Sakura. "Yeah, I think that Naga is a great name for a dragon too."

Zelda got the two of them together with Link. "It's time to make strategies."

Corrin nodded. "I thought we had one already? It was 'vote Link out because he's not talking about things with Zelda', or something like that."

Link raised an eyebrow. "Charming."

Zelda scoffed. "Oh, you know how I can get. Any ideas, Sakura?"

Sakura gasped. "You want an idea from m-me?" She stumbled. "Oh, but all of these people are my friends. I wouldn't want to vote any of them out."

Zelda nodded. "Got it. Corrin?"

Corrin shrugged. "I agree with Sakura. We should vote for Toadsworth."

Zelda shook her head. "There are so many things wrong with what you just said that I'm not going to even list them. It falls to you, Link."

Link looked around. "Uh... um... how about we just decide when we come to it? Everyone left is still a strong player, so now we should win consistently."

Zelda nodded. "That much is true."

Toadette sighed in relief. "Phew. We're not targets."

Fawful grinned. "I have glee! Fawful has safety!"

All four looked at them.

Corrin waved. She looked to see Zelda glaring at them. She stopped waving.

Zelda looked at them angrily. "Eavesdropping? I thought better of you."

Fawful sighed. "Fawful and Fawful's big mouth. Also the Toadette."

Toadette frowned. "Well, at least I'm included."

Confessional

Link- I didn't know that Abygail could be so scary!

Zelda- I can't believe she would do this. Toadette is in the wrong places at the wrong times. If this continues, I might have to take some action.

Toadette- Excuse me for wanting to hear the plans of the strongest force on the island.

Treecko sat down and sighed. "Crazy days lately."

Wario sat next to him. "Agreed."

Treecko recoiled. "And what do you want?"

Wario sighed. "Look, I'm kind of going through some things. I'm actually being helpful?"

Treecko smiled slightly. "Well, helping Yoshi recover after Aqua left was an admirable thing to do."

Wario looked deep in thought. "You know what? I forgot how she actually left."

Treecko frowned. "Yeah, it's kind of hazy for me too."

Wario looked at Treecko. "Look. I've been... a less than good person to you. We don't have to be friends, but maybe we should settle this dispute once and for all."

Treecko looked surprised. "Wow. I did not expect to be hearing this."

Braixen stormed into the area. "I'd think twice if I were you, Wario."

Wario backed away. "I'll just let you two settle this, later!" He ran away quickly.

Braixen glared at Treecko. "I bet you're wondering why I'm here."

Treecko sighed. "The thing I'm wondering is why you waste my time."

Braixen looked down. "Now, at first I tried to ignore what you said to me, but when I thought about it, you have been nothing but condescending the whole time I've known you!"

Treecko rolled his eyes. "Get to the point."

Braixen growled. "If you're not going to be nice to me, then I'm not going to be nice to you! Ever! Mudkip and Sylveon will choose me as I am so wonderful, and you will be left alone forever, but you'd probably like that, wouldn't you?"

Treecko nodded. "Uh huh. And how do you know they'll choose you?"

Braixen glared at him. "Why would they pick someone who just pushes them away?"

Mudkip watched them from a distance. "This no good."

Sylveon nodded. "You're telling me. How are we supposed to fix this? They are literally opposites!"

Mudkip sighed. "We need action plan."

Sylveon watched the two argue. "No good trying to fix the unfixable there. I say we ditch both and act like we never knew them."

Mudkip looked shocked. "What? No, don't do that!"

Sylveon looked at him. "Any other ideas?"

Mudkip looked deep in thought. "Well, we always could... uh..." He smiled. "Fix friendship with happy group memories!"

Sylveon smiled. "Happy memories of us hanging out? Face it Mudkip, those two have always been squabbling. This was just the last straw for them. There's nothing we can do."

Mudkip shook his head. "Not with attitude like yours. I at least try to fix this. If not, I am failure."

Wario sat with Yoshi and Mario. "I'm afraid it's starting."

Mario looked confused. "What's starting?"

Wario shrugged. "Well, there's always that one time where you know the team is about to fall apart and lose a ton of times?"

Mario nodded. "Yes?"

Wario frowned. "We've entered that zone."

Yoshi sighed. "As if we didn't have enough to deal with. I'm trying to piece together some... odd changes I've discovered."

The two looked at him in confusion.

Yoshi pulled out a blackboard.

Wario frowned. "Where did he get that from?"

Yoshi started writing. "Just go with it. I've made a device with certain materials we shipped in with Abygail's food orders. Lately I've been tracking some observing some fluctuating areas of the space-time continuum, which has caused certain things to... change. In fact, we may have had our course of time altered entirely."

Mario blinked. "Yeah, you lost me."

Yoshi flipped over the blackboard and started writing on the other side. "You see, time is like a river. It flows in different directions and the water doesn't change it's predetermined course unless you move it. It would appear that this fluctuation caused Fawful to never poison an apple in those caves. You know what this means?"

Mario nodded. "I totally know what this means." He leaned in and whispered. "I totally don't know what this means."

Yoshi threw his arms up. "It means that you never kissed Rosella!"

Mario looked confused. "I kissed Rosella?"

Rosella walked over. "He kissed me?"

Yoshi shrugged. "Not anymore, I guess. But this goes on to mean that Peach never got crazy jealous, ergo the whole thing with the evil spirit tower never happened. All memories of that timeline have been replaced by new ones, and most importantly, Aqua never lost her memories!"

Wario groaned. "Sounds like a bunch of plot-holes and convenience to me."

Yoshi shrugged. "It's so a bunch of people are no longer miserable, just go with it."

(Confessional)

Treecko- I can't believe Braixen! She's so annoying with her all-mighty attitude and that superiority she always has to feel.

Braixen- I can't believe Treecko! He's so annoying with his copying of things I was about to say, and the way he talks to me like I'm some child!

Yoshi- I may sound like a crazed conspiracy theorist, but this is all canon now. I'm only telling those two as they are my friends. I feel like if anyone else knew, they would blow this out of proportion and try to do irrational things.

Blue Toad waved to the contestants. "Hey all! It's time for the challenge."

Bartre smiled. "It's another cooking challenge!"

Corrin and Zelda shuddered.

Blue Toad laughed. "Yeah, I know they're overdone, but they're fun, right?"

Bartre pointed to two counters. "You have until sunset to produce a main and a dessert for us. They even have team colours!"

(Confessional)

Corrin- Oh boy. Last time I did a cooking challenge, I threw a meringue out of a window and ended up being late. Yellow Toad did not take that one too well...

Zelda- I hate cooking challenges. This is where I developed a dislike for Daisy. Man, I miss her nowadays. Really puts things into perspective, doesn't it? Anyway, this is when I punched out Peach's tooth and got voted out for having a 'bad attitude'.

Abygail- Okay, self control to the max here. I need to focus on trying to not eat my teams food because it's for the judges!

Team Stars

Corrin smiled. "Luckily, I came prepared." She pulled out a laptop. "Kylie Koopa's guide on food from Italy."

Zelda looked confused. "What the heck is Italy?"

Abygail shrugged. "Some country with really nice food. It's somewhat near to where I live."

Luigi frowned. "How does Kylie know about it then?"

Link put several bowls on the table. "It doesn't matter! We need to get started!"

Corrin read the recipes. "Cannoli and Pizza. Sound good?"

Abygail smiled. "Sounds amazing!"

Sakura started gathering ingredients. "I'll be helpful."

Toadette frowned. "How do we know that Abygail won't just eat them though?"

Fawful shrugged. "We have keeping away from food."

Team Ztars

Wario looked through papers. "Hmm... Lasagne?"

Treecko frowned. "Pass."

"Salad?"

"He said main course."

"Calamari?"

"Maybe? Keep looking."

"Cereal?"

"Are you even trying?"

"Lasagne?"

"Already said that."

Wario smiled. "Burgers!"

Treecko thought about it. "Hold on, let me find something wrong with it..." He shrugged. "We could go for it."

Rosella nodded. "Got it. What about dessert?"

Wario got another stack of recipes. "Here we go again."

Treecko frowned. "We're not doing that again." He pulled one out. "Mousse. Looks like I got a good one."

Braixen rolled her eyes. "Of course the one YOU picked is good."

Treecko turned to look at her. "Is there an issue?"

Mudkip walked in. "Look! Time to get started! You two, work together on burger flip!"

Sylveon smiled. "He's actually trying."

Treecko scoffed. "Flipping burgers is basically Braixen's only career choice in the future."

Braixen sighed. "Oh, you are too much." She grabbed a spatula. "Just try not to be a disappointment like usual."

Treecko folded his arms. "Disappointment, huh? Who was last one standing in paintball again?"

Braixen scoffed. "Only because of me! I blew everyone up because I knew you weren't there! You're never close to me! I always knew that you secretly hated me!"

Sylveon flinched. "Oh boy. Mudkip sure has his work cut out for him."

Mudkip sighed. "Cause may be lost. I am uncertain, so I will persevere."

Yoshi started preparing the ingredients for the mousse. "Alright, Mario and I will get started on this."

Mario walked over. "Got it."

Team Stars

Corrin rolled the cannoli dough. "It's almost done!"

Zelda put her thumbs up. "Cool. How's the pizza?"

Toadette looked upset. "Well, we had it all prepared and ready to go."

Zelda looked around. "Where is it?"

Toadette pointed to Abygail. "We put it on the table ready to serve, but somebody got to it first."

Abygail chuckled nervously. "Well, to be fair you should have seen it coming."

Team Ztars

Treecko looked at Braixen's burgers. "No, no, no. They're unevenly cooked. Could you put effort into something?"

Braixen held a fireball in her paws. "I'll unevenly cook you in a minute if you don't stop talking!"

Mudkip fired some water at her. "NO! No burning people alive. We've been over this."

Braixen rolled her eyes. "What if they deserve it though?"

Sylveon laughed nervously. "Okay, let's put you two on different stations starting now. How does that sound?"

Mudkip frowned.

Sylveon scoffed. "Don't give me that face! They were going to kill each other if I didn't step in. Trust me, just let it go."

Rosella sighed. "So we've got the mousse down. That's good. But what the heck are these burgers? I've got half a mind to vote one of those two off if we lose!"

Mudkip sighed. He tipped the plate of burgers onto the floor. "Oops. My bad. Clumsy."

Rosella threw her arms up. "What the heck? Those were at least fixable before! We don't have any time left to make new ones!"

Treecko looked deep in thought. "Did he just-?"

Rosella shrugged. "Well, they're better than nothing." She scooped the burgers off the ground. "Maybe they believe in the five second rule." She shook her head. "We're so doomed."

(Confessional)

Treecko- There's no way he knocked that plate accidentally. But why would he purposefully sabotage the team?

Abygail- So, after my little 'taste test' of the pizza, I was banned from the kitchen. Fine by me anyway, as I'm getting the leftovers!

Blue Toad and Bartre sat at a table. Blue Toad smiled. "Stars, your main course?"

Corrin brought over their pizza. She lifted the lid off the platter dramatically.

Blue Toad gave it a look. "It's... basic. But also good. I give you a six out of ten."

Bartre looked confused. "It's in the shape of a square. It greatly confuses me. I'll say four."

Blue Toad smiled. "I'm sure the desserts will be nice though."

Zelda put the plate with two tubes of cannoli on. "Enjoy."

Blue Toad nodded. "Eight."

Bartre smiled. "Flavour heaven! Nine!"

Sakura looked confused. "If flavour heaven is a nine, then what is a ten?"

Blue Toad nodded. "Very good, Stars. Your final score is a twenty-seven out of forty. But can the Ztars beat it? Let's have their main course!"

Rosella stammered. "W-Well, actually, you- you'd probably want the d-dessert first."

Blue Toad looked confused. "If you say so."

Rosella put the mousse on the table.

Blue Toad ate some. "It's an immediate ten from me."

Bartre's eyes lit up. "I have transcended to new levels of delicious food. Ten from me, too."

Sakura nodded. "I-I guess that answers my earlier question."

Blue Toad smiled. "Needing eight points to win, let's see this main course."

Rosella placed the burgers on the table. "Just rate them already."

Blue Toad pulled a face. "Yeah, no. These taste like dirt. I'll have to say two."

Bartre smiled. "Messy stuff is my kind of style!"

The Ztars team sighed in relief.

Bartre shrugged. "But it does taste pretty gross, so it's a three from me."

Blue Toad nodded. "Well, that's a two point lead for the Stars, so they win! Ztars, I'll see you tonight."

Mudkip walked away. "I did right thing."

Treecko stopped him. "W-Wait. Why did you sabotage the team?"

Mudkip looked down. "I had to." He kept walking.

Treecko looked onwards. "So cryptic..."

(Confessional)

Braixen- Can I vote more than once for Treecko?

Mario- I, uh... I don't know who to pick. There are several options.

Mudkip- I am choosing the one who need to leave.

Rosella- Well, the burgers are the reason we lost, and who ruined those? Mudkip.

Sylveon- Honestly, I was getting tired of Braixen anyway. She's so selfish now!

Treecko- At first I was thinking I'd vote for Braixen, but then I decided to vote for... Braixen. My mind is unchanged.

Wario- Nobody ruins food and gets away with it!

Yoshi- Sorry man, this has to happen.

Campfire Ceremony – Team Ztars

Blue Toad looked at the eight Ztars. "Now, you're all here today because of cooking that was sub-par in some areas."

Mudkip nodded. "I take blame."

Blue Toad held out seven mushrooms. "You know the drill by this point. Mario, Rosella, Sylveon, Wario and Yoshi got no votes."

Braixen folded her arms. "Oh look, bottom three. I'm used to it by now."

Mudkip nodded. "I am accepting of the votes. Fault was mine."

Treecko glared at Braixen. "You're going down."

Blue Toad tossed another mushroom. "Treecko only got one vote, he is safe."

Treecko grinned. "Goodbye, Braixen. There's no way you got less votes than Mudkip. Everyone loves him!"

Rosella looked away. "Yep. Everyone loves him."

Blue Toad threw a mushroom. "Well, apparently you're wrong, as Mudkip got four votes, while Braixen only got three."

Treecko looked around nervously. "Well, this is awkward." He suddenly had a moment of realisation. "He had to sabotage the team... because he wanted Braixen and I to make up?"

Mudkip nodded. "I take bullet for you both. Please, heed my word. Don't make my sacrifice be for nothing." He walked onto the boat.

Mario sighed. "And just like last time, I feel like a terrible person for voting out Mudkip."

Blue Toad frowned. "Well, Mudkip sabotaged the team so that Treecko and Braixen would be saved from elimination. What a centric plot befitting of the title of the show. Anyway, will the pair respond to Mudkip's ultimate sacrifice? And how? Find out next time, on Mario Total Drama Superstars!"

Exclusive Clip- Mudkip

Bartre looked at Mudkip. "Hey... you doing alright back there?"

Mudkip nodded. "I have faith in them. They can make up if they try."

Bartre smiled. "I would've kept you in if I could. You're very honourable."

Mudkip laughed. "Well, I do best."

Chapter 7 is done, and I AM SO SORRY FOR THE TWO MONTH GAP. Stuff popped up, like studying for exams and working on other projects. I'd love to put more time into MTDS, but until my final exams are done, I'm going to have to call an official hiatus. Chapters should come back around mid to late June, but if you want to stay updated, you can always join the discord server using the join code GCRGpS7.

I'll see you then, with Chapter 8.
