The weekend went by pretty fast and we did the usual. On Saturday night we went to the drive-in and saw a movie, then on Sunday night we all went to a party. It's now Monday morning and Steve, Soda and I need to get to work by ten. It's already 8:12 am and Steve and I are at our house, and by the looks of it, Steve isn't going anywhere. I walked up to the couch where he was currently laying with his arm draped over his eyes.

"Steve, we have to be to work by 9. I suggest that you start getting ready." I said. Steve groaned.

"I'm calling in sick today, Lil. I have a killer hangover." He replied, shifting a little and groaning again. I stared at him with disbelief.

"Really, Steve? If you don't come in then that means the boss will give me and Pop extra hours to make up for your work!" I exclaimed. I was starting to get pissed. I don't want extra hours, especially with Soda! Things would be awkward. We haven't really spoken to each other that much after what happened on Saturday. We haven't even insulted each other, which is saying a lot. Steve removed his arm from his face and turned to me, giving me his puppy dog eyes.

"Please, Lil?" he begged. I looked at him, then away, and then finally let my narrowed eyes settle back on him again. I then rolled my eyes and threw my arms up exasperatedly.

"Fine!" I yelled out, giving up to my brother. "But you owe me!" I pointed at him.

"What about Soda?" He asked. I just stared at him. "I shouldn't've even asked. But thank you so much Lil! You're the best sister ever!" he exclaimed, opening his arms up for a hug, which I had to lean down to for him to reach. We gave each other a light squeeze.

"You're welcome, Steve." I said, then pulled back with a smile. He smiled back at me. I then began to walk towards the front door.

"Have fun at work!" He called out as I walked. I rolled my eyes even though he couldn't see it.

"Oh yeah, sure. I'm gonna have a blast!" I yelled back to him sarcastically. Well, I guess that it's time to go start my long work day with just Soda. I hope this goes well.
