I am so sorry for the delay! I hope this helps make up for it!

Sam hummed lightly as she kicked her legs back and forth as she sat on the weathered swings, ignoring the fact that it was raining. She couldn't quite narrow down the length of time that she had been sitting in the playground, but judging by how cold it was, it probably was a while.

'Thought I'd find you here.'

'Am I that predictable?' She grabbed onto the metal chains and leaned back, seeing the Colonel standing there, hands shoved into his pockets and squinting up at the light rain.

'I guess I know you rather well.' He stepped over the swing next to her and sat down heavily as Sam gently swung back and forth.

'Is that a subtle way of informing me that I have no life?' She half muttered to herself, which with the man sitting next to her was just as good as yelling it.

'It's the one order you refuse to obey.'

'It's the only one I can get away with.' As he stared at her critically, she simply raised her eyebrows as innocently as she could, to which he just rolled his eyes and shook his head.

'Damn that used to always work.' She pouted jokingly at him, as she came to a stop, still kicking her legs back and forth. He gave her a sidelong look, before rolling his eyes again and getting up.

'Why on earth are you out when it's raining?'

'Helps me think.' He jumped lightly over a puddle and stared upwards as the overcast sky. Sam started swinging again as he shut his eyes against the rain, she watched as the rain bounced off his face as the rain fell harder. He had to jump out of the way as she swung higher and higher. Sam laughed brightly before grinning at the man staring at her in shocked disbelief.

She launched off the swing, landing in a large muddy puddle, splashing the aforementioned stunned man. He glared down at his jeans now stained with mud and looked down at her bright green rain boots. He sighed, closing his eyes in a manner similar to that with him dealing with Daniel.

'Aren't you already pretty good at the thinking...' He trailed off his rather witty retort as Sam bounced in the puddle she blinked widely at him, trying not to smile.

'Is this a thing you do?' He sat down on the swing, resting his elbows on his knees and gesturing at her in confusion.

'What thing?' She kicked through another puddle and turned around to face him, bouncing on her feet.

'Oh, you mean the annoying childish, immature and yet oddly charming antics? Only when I'm bored.' She grinned mischievously at him, before staring up as the rain began to ease to a light mist.

His face twitched, his expressions fluctuating from sheepish to amusement followed by a piercing look which melted to reluctant admiration.

'Touche.' Sam mock bowed before ascending her throne, well the battered swing next to him, and swinging back and forth. She shook her head, sending small droplets flying in all directions, competing with the easing rain in hitting the ground.

She turned to see that the man swinging slightly was now knocking his ankles together and whistling a merry tune.

Same old same old, she supposed, tracing rain drops clinging to the metal chain nearest him.

But was it really? The thought hit Sam and she stopped, frowning as she stared out at the drenched park.

'Why the rain?'

'Whu-what?' The question took her totally by surprise, causing her hand to slip on the chain and smack herself on the thigh.

'Why do you think in the rain?'

'Ammm... I don't know.'

'Yes you do.' The pair sat swinging in opposition to one another as Sam goggled at him. He just watched her, cool interested look firmly in place.

'I remember when I was little, the few times that we actually had somewhere to call home and we'd all be there. Saturday afternoons and it'd be pouring rain outside, so we'd just be inside, TV off, Dad's rule. Mark would complain for a while, Mom would try to stop me from messing with something in the house. Then after a while, she would get tea and cookies and we'd all just be. I'd stare out the window and watch the rain fall.'

'You snuck out a few times didn't you?'

'Naturally.'

A silence fell over them once more as the rain finally stopped and the sky cleared revealed a large full moon and glittering sky.

'What are we going to do now?' He asked, looking decidedly glum standing and facing her, breathing deeply. Sam followed suit, shoving her hands deep into her pockets and avoiding his look. She took in the smell of the fresh rain fall and was immediately swamped with childhood memories.

'We can't go back from here you know.'

'We wouldn't do that anyway, you know that.' She turned her head and stared up at him with vaguely amused eyes. He rolled his eyes and walked a few paces away, sighing slightly.

'We made this choice, you were forced into it, but we chose to do it. For you. We'll make it work, somehow.'

'Carter we're kids!' At this "Jon" gestured down at himself and at Sam looking beyond irritated.

'Nicely deduced.' She quipped, walking away bouncing into a couple of puddles as she went. Jon jogged after her, grabbing her arm and turning her towards him.

'You're giving up everything, and for what?' Sam wrenched her arm out of his rather rough grip and shoved him away. She glared at him, gathering up her now long hair and pulled it up into a messy ponytail.

'For what? For what? If it had been me, or Daniel or Teal'c, wouldn't you have done the same thing? Of course you would have, it's what we do. Yeah we are stuck back in a craptastic age, but we can do whatever we like, we're- we're free.' While she had started out getting increasingly angry at him, the dawning realization hit her like a ton of bricks.

They stared at each other, both struck by the implications of what she had just shouted at him.

'Oh.' He blinked down at her, mouth dropping, as did his eyes before they flickered back up to her eyes.

'Oh.' She echoed, swallowing heavily and wrapping her arms around herself. Despite her wet clothes, dripping hair and overall wet state, she felt a warmth zing run through her. They stood staring at one another, about one foot between them, both stunned by the shift that caught them completely off guard.

She gulped and felt her own eyes widen as she watched his eyes focus more intently on her and dilate fully.

'So, what are you thinking about now?' She bit her lip grinning slightly at the question and she cocked her head at him.

'Guess.' Sam had barely gotten the word out before he grabbed her and crushed her against him. It was unlike any of their kisses before, they weren't themselves anymore, they were new.

She had to admit that was pretty intimidating but as she reared up to the kiss, letting everything she had bottled up rise to the surface. But as they stood in the pitch black playground, making out furiously, for a lack of a better term, she could not give a damn.

As Jon lifted her up slightly, invading every inch of her mouth, Sam couldn't help but feel pity for her other self. Without this, without him, alone and fighting to simply remain at his side, whereas she...

She was free.

And she never even knew she had been chained up.

First things first.

I AM SO SO SORRY! I have been so crazy busy with work that everything else had been taking a backslide! Things are not getting much quieter but I need a bit of a break and so I wrote this. Honestly, I had been hoping to write these two in since the beginning and I initially hadn't started writing the younger two (for it is my head cannon that the other three created clones so "Jon" wouldn't be alone.) and then suddenly BAMN there they were.

Again I am so sorry and if I didn't respond to any reviews/pms it's because I have been so tired and busy with work and study and everything else.

So I hope this helps a little!

Forgive me? You guys are the best!
