Last Chapter:

"Can I?" Moona asked, a smile lighting up her whole face. I nodded my head and passed the small bear into her small hands. "Thank you, momma!" Her face froze and a blush lit up her entire face and she took a few steps back. "I… I mean Musa. Thank you, Musa."

My heart felt like it could explode. I didn't think anything could make me feel any better than I did at that moment in time. She had called me momma.

"You are most welcome, baby girl," I whispered, opening my arms. She shyly walked over to me and wrapped her arms around my frame. Star stood a few steps away, looking at her feet awkwardly. "You too, Star, come here," I urged softly. Star's face broke out into a smile and she ran into my waiting arms. I felt my heart flutter with love and I hugged both girls closer to me. "Now, are you girls ready to go back to bed?"

"Yeah," they both answered at the same time and we all let out a small giggle.

"Good, let's get you tucked in."

Chapter 6: Shopping

Earth Time: March 29, 2011

Musa Song's Point of View

I woke up with a start, unable to control my laughter. My eyes shot open and I saw Shine, Star, Moona, Spencer and Riven, all with feathers in hand.

"Finally!" Riven said sarcastically. "Thanks for the help, guys, you're dismissed." The four kids laughed and scampered off to the kitchen. "Good morning, beautiful." Riven leaned over top of me and pressed a soft kiss to my lips, which I gladly returned.

"Good morning," I said. He pulled me into a sleeping position and laughed when my back cracked several times. "Ow."

"Awwwwwwww. Poor baby," Riven said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes and threw my pillow back at him. He dodged it easily and threw one back at me.

"Oh, you want to play that game?" I questioned, a smile lifting the corners of my smile. Riven chuckled.

"I do, I really do, but we can't," Riven sighed. He sat back on his legs and looked at the clock above the H.V. "It's already eight-thirty. Since we don't have any food, what so ever, I was thinking we could go out to eat? The kids seemed to take the idea pretty enthusiastically." I laughed.

"Yeah, sure, that sounds like a really good idea," I said. An idea dawned on me. "Aw, that's really cute. It'll be our first meal together."

"Wow, Muse," Riven scoffed sarcastically. "Always so sentimental."

"Oh, shut it." I swatted his arm and he raised his eyebrow.

"Language," he teased. I blushed, remembering I told him the same thing to him yesterday after he said a similar phrase.

"Whatever." I stuck my tongue out at him childishly and got up from the floor. "Are my clothes in our room?"

"Yeah, they are. Still in boxes, unfortunately, but they're there." I pressed a kiss to the top of his head.

"Thanks, love," I said before taking off the hall, to get dressed.

We sat at a table in a small dinner Riven and I had come to adore in our years living in downtown Magix. We had a few stores to go to that were around our old apartment, so we decided to have breakfast at a place we loved.

When we first walked in, the hostess that we had come to know quite well was quite surprised with our children. We took a few minutes to explain to her that we had recently adopted them. Or we were trying to, officially.

"Spencer, you need to- oh…" I started to say, but watched as syrup dripped off his pancake he was currently trying to shove in his mouth drop into a messy puddle on his lap.

"Spencer…" Shine groaned, looking at the mess her brother made. Moona and Star were trying to stifle laughs.

"Looks like you're in a sticky situation," Riven joked. At this, even Shine cracked a smile.

"Here, let me help," I said, turning to the young boy. I waved my hand and concentrated on removing the syrup that covered nearly every inch of him. In the blink of an eye, the syrup had vanished, leaving him stick-free.

"Thanks, Musa," Spencer said, food crumbs flying out of his mouth. I laughed and rubbed the top of his head affectionately.

"You're welcome, Spencer." Riven's phone started ringing and he dropped his eating utensils to search his pockets and he answered it walking away from the table.

"Can you pass the syrup, please, Spencer?" Shine questioned. Spencer got onto his knees on the bench and reached across the table, the cup of maple syrup in his hands.

"Oh, watch the glass!" I gasped, reaching across the table and catching the tipping glass of apple juice in front of Star. She flashed a smile at me.

"Thanks, mama," Star said. After a few minutes, Riven came walking up to the table, a wide smile on his face.

"Guess what!?" Riven asked excitedly, sliding in beside Moona.

"What is it?" I asked, setting my knife and fork down.

"So, guess who I was just on the phone with."

"Who?"

"Child services," Riven said.

"Oh!" I gasped, knowing it would have to do with adopting the children. "What did they say?"

"They said we've been approved!" I let out a squeak and turned to the five children eating their breakfast and messing around, oblivious to the conversation we were having.

"So…"

"They're ours. We're officially their adoptive parents and they're officially our adoptive children." I felt a huge smile cover my face and I couldn't help but feel the immense happiness that spread from my head to my toes at this news.

We were a family.

Officially.

I never felt so happy in a long time.

But with the happiness came worries.

Later on in the night, we were back at the house. The kids had fallen asleep as soon as we returned from shopping; after all, it was an exhausting day. Currently, everyone was up, still all really tired, but up just enough to get the rooms organized.

"Musa, what room is mine?" Spencer asked. He looked up from the bag he was look through.

"Do you want to share with Star?" I asked him.

"Sure!" Spencer said. "What room do I get, Musa?" Spencer asked.

"You two can have the room that is light brown. Riven will come help set your beds up," I said. Spencer got up from the floor, tugging on Star's sleeve. He ran to a small box and picked up, scampering towards the room with Star and Riven following behind Spencer slowly.

"Where are we going to stay?" Shine asked suddenly.

"Well do you want to share with Moona in the sky room?" I asked

"Yes!" They both took off behind their brother and sister, a few boxes in hand.

I took a box and went to the blank white room beside my room. I put up the crib, playpen, toys, books, amongst other items.

The room looked as good as it was going to get for only a few minutes, so I put Paige down in the crib.

Deciding that she would be okay alone, I went to see if Star, Shine, Spencer, Moona or Riven needed any of my help finishing up.

When I got to the brown room on the right, everything was in place. I walked to the room on the left and was surprised when everything was finished there too.

I took the steps slowly to their loft, coming to the conclusion that was where they were hiding out at. Riven was fast asleep on the floor, the four children also fast asleep not too far away from him. I had to fight the urge to let out an 'awe' at the sight. I walked up to Riven, curled into his side and quickly passed into the world of sleep, beyond happy.
