Hello everyone. I'm sorry about the late update once again. I would like to say that I am sadden by a certain review but I WILL continue my story since their are those out there who actually enjoy this story. I know that the some are the characters are a little OOC but some of the other stories that I've read have OOC characters too. And yes, this is an AU, I'm allowed to do that since this is my story. Also with Rin being Russian just make the story more intense later once I get to it. Well enough with the ranting. I hoped you'll like this chapter.

The next morning everyone asked Rin about her weird behavior and of course, the strange rules regarding her apartment. She was able to stave them off by telling them she was feeling under the weather and that it was her father's idea to make her live in a place with tight security. They reluctantly believed her and left it at that since they couldn't force her to tell them.

"Hey guys lets go somewhere this weekend." Kagome chimed to elude the silence in the group. Everyone was occupied with their own thing which didn't sit well with the young miko. They were having lunch yet no one was talking to each other.

"What do you have in mind?" Sango asked, putting her book down.

"How about the new aquarium? Kagome offered.

"What!? The aquarium!? That's lame." Inuyasha spatted in difference. He preferred doing something more productive, not watching fishes in giant glass tanks.

"The aquarium's fun." Kagome rebutted, annoyed by Inuyasha, then turned smiling at the girl across from her "Plus Rin might like it."

"Keh, as if she'll like going to the aquari-"

"I've never been to one before so…" Rin confessed shyly.

"What!? Okay you definitely have to go!" Kagome yelled in earnest. The others stared at Rin like she was crazy.

"We're going." Ayame declared, giving Rin a hug as if she was some deprived child. Sango and Miroku immediately nodded in agreement and gave Inuyasha a more than persuasive glare with Kagome to make him come too.

"Fine." Inuyasha huffed in defeat.

"You coming too?" Kouga asked Sesshomaru. He stared at Kouga for a good three seconds then blink. Kouga smirked, knowing that it was one of Sesshomaru's way of saying yes since he know they'll annoy him until he agrees to come.

Several days later, Rin was waiting outside of the aquarium on a nice Sunday afternoon. She came earlier than what everyone had agreed on and waited patiently for everyone else to arrive. She was people watching when the ringing of her phone caught her attention.

"Hello." Rin answered.

"Hey Rin. Are you at the aquarium yet?" Kagome asked.

"Yes." She replied.

"I'm sorry but something came up. I'm at Inuyasha's house right now and he refuses to go and won't leave his room." Kagome admitted shamefully. "And Miroku got Sango upset so he's trying to make it up to her. Also Kouga and Ayame got caught in clan business."

"So no one's going?" Rin asked in disappointment. She really wanted to go and have been looking forward to this day. It was a great way to make fun memories with her friends and to enjoy the freedom she was temporally given.

"Well.. there's someone that can still go. He should be on his way right now. It took me forever to convince him to go." Kagome complained in triumph.

Rin looked slightly confused then her eyes widen when she saw a silver figure approached her.

"He's here." Rin said into the phone, still slightly shocked that Sesshomaru came in the end.

"Alright. Have fun you two." Kagome cheered innocently, ignorant to the situation she just placed the two in.

Hanging up her phone, she peered into brilliant gold. "Hi Sesshomaru."

"Hn." He said in return. He was back to his stoic demeanor since he left her room that night. Rin didn't really mind, at least not that much. He was with her so that's all she cared about.

"I guessed it's just me and you today." Rin stated, a smile on her face.

He didn't reply and walked to the aquarium.

"So how'd she get you to come?" She asked as they slowly walked to the entrance.

"She promised to punish the little half-breed tenfold." He admitted. Besides, I'd rather spend time with you then be home stuck listening to Kagome yelled at Inuyasha's door. He paused for a fraction of a second, surprised he had even thought of that. He shook his thought away and continued to the building.

Being the gentleman that he is, he paid for their tickets which Rin thought was very sweet of him. Taking their time, they roamed around the aquarium, enjoying each other's company, or at least Rin was for sure. Since the aquarium just opened, it was slightly crowed, but they didn't let that factor separate them.

Rin was awestruck by the many varieties of fishes. Her expression would turn into delight like a child whenever a large or bizarre fish comes her way.

So caught up in her plight, she lost track of Sesshomaru. When she finally found him, he was gazing into a tank in the middle of a dimly lit room. The tank was long, reaching up to the ceiling and about two feet wide, containing rare aquatic sea plants with little bubble coming form the bottom.

She slowly walked over to the tank so that she was standing across from him, the tank separating the two like a thick clear wall. A small smile slowly formed on her face when she looked at him through the clear lit glass.

Too absorbed in his own thoughts, Sesshomaru failed to notice Rin standing on the other side of the tank at first. He saw the tiny smile directed at him, the soft light from the tank reflecting against her face. Her hand was place on the glass as she peered into his eyes from the other side. On instinct, he too lifted his own hand so that it was over hers.

He scowled as a painstaking headache formed. Everything around him went white then he blanked out.

He was walking in what seems to be a spacious dimly lit room. Everything was fuzzy but he could make out some parts of it. He saw a tank at the back of he room, like the ones they use in those aliens movies. He could see bubbles slowly coming from the bottom of the tank and what appears to by a figure floating in the middle of it.

As he got closer, a small body appeared, it was a person, a child perhaps. As he finally reach the tank, he place a hand on the glass and noticed that his hand was much smaller. A part of the glass suddenly became clear, though only a small portion of it. It was clear enough to see the obscure face of the figure.

The only thing he could make out was the mouth and nose, everything else was still a blur.

He was amazed when the mouth parted, as if to say something.

'Ses-sho-maru'

It looked like the figure was trying to say his name. Why would the figure be mouthing his name he wondered.

The figure repeatedly mouthed his name again.

Sesshomaru…

Sesshomaru….

Sesshomaru!

Sesshomaru flinched when he heard someone calling his name, bringing him back to reality.

"Sesshomaru are you alright?" He looked down to notice the small human standing beside him. Rin was looking at him with a concerned expression.

"Hn." He replied after a moment of silence.

"I've been calling your name for awhile." Rin explained.

He stared at her then returned his attention back the the fish tank. What was that? The vision had really disturbed him. He had no idea as to why he would conjure up a thought.

"Are you feeling alright? Do you want to go home?" Rin asked bit reluctantly. Truthfully, she wanted to stay with him longer but if he wasn't feeling well, then there wasn't anything she can do.

"I'm fine." He stated cooly before walking away to look at the other exhibitions they haven't seen seen yet.

Rin followed him hesitantly, glancing back at the tank where she was reminded of memories of that fateful day.

After admiring the other fishes and exhibits in silence, they decided to get some drinks at a cozy cafe.

"So tell me about yourself." Rin began, trying to make some light conversations and destroy the awkward silence.

He quirked an eyebrow, slightly wondering if she was serious. If people wanted to know him, all they had to do was search up his background. His whole life is basically out for the public since his family were practically celebrities, except for the most private facts of course. No one really wants to know the real him anyways, only the powers he has and inheritance he will soon possess from his father.

Even though he's one of the least open and emotional person you'll ever meet, the fact that people only care about his money and power has harden him over the year, or at least more so.

"There's nothing to know." He said plainly, taking a sip of his black coffee.

"I'm sure that's not true." Rin chimed, a small giggle come out. He quirked another eyebrow.

"Just tell me about yourself. Like what you like to do, your interest, hopes,…. childhood." Rin listed. "You owe me this much since a I told you about myself and answered your questions." She stated matter of factly. He saw sincerity and genuine curiosity in her eyes.

Taking in a deep breath, he released a sigh, can't believing how easily she can affect his reasonings for doings thing he normally would not do.

"I like to fight and win. I hope to inherit what's rightfully mine, and my childhood…" He trailed off, staring at nothing in particular yet his eyes seems so far away, searching for something. "I don't remember any of my earliest childhood but what I could remember was devoid of anything special." He admitted for the very first time to someone.

He notice Rin stiffen from his confession, she eyes downcast in sadness and as if she was deep in thought about something of her own. Finally coming back to him, she gave him a warm comforting smile.

"We may not be able to change your past, but we can definitely do something to brighten up your future." Rin said as she gave him the brightest smile he had ever seen.

Slowly getting up from the table, she stood to get ready. "How about we call it a day? I don't to keep you from your day off." She said reluctantly. She was thoroughly enjoying their little date, but it had to end. She shouldn't get too attached.

"Hn. I'll take you home."

The next few weeks after Rin's day at the aquarium were spent planning Inuyasha a secret surprise birthday party. Even though Kagome was upset about his refusal to go to the aquarium, she still wanted to make his birthday special since she's madly in love with him. Everyone got dragged into helping out, including Sesshomaru, though his role was very minor. He only had to let them know when Inuyasha will be out of the house so that Kagome can start planning the decorations at his house.

Once the day of the party was nearing, Kagome and the other headed over to Inuyasha's while he should be away for the day.

Walking into the Takahashi mansion for the very first time has always took everyone's breath away. It was magnificent with carefully designed interiors and exteriors to bring out the brilliance of the mansion.

"Try not to get lost Rin. We'll never find you, at least not right away." Ayame joked when he noticed Rin's slowness in keeping up with their pace.

Rin nodded absently.

"Hurry or you'll get left behind." Kouga called from far away.

"Be right there." Rin yelled back.

So caught up on the many portraits and paintings of the past generations of the Takahashi family, Rin failed to remember where the others turned. She called out Ayame's and Kouga's name since they'll actually have a chance of hearing her with their demon hearing. When there was no reply, she decided to turned at the closest hallway instead of just standing around.

The turn lead her down a wide hallway with one room at the end. Entering the room, she could easily tell it was meant to be a cozy family room. It was filled with more portraits yet more recent pictures of the family.

Walking over to one end of the giant cobblestone fireplace, Rin couldn't help but smile at the multiple pictures of the happy family. The pictures were of the current Takahashi family. There were framed photographs of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru when they were babies and as they grew up. A she walked along the fireplace, she stopped midway at a certain photo.

It was a picture of Sesshomaru when he was a child, perhaps five or six. What struck out to her the most about this picture was that he was smiling brightly in this photograph. His golden eyes were shimmering with happiness and innocence, the total opposite of his current cold and emotionless ones.

Picking up the silver frame, she couldn't help but trace over his wide smile. Oh how she loved that smile. He was absolutely adorable in her eyes.

He always was.

So enchanted by her little finding, she was oblivious to the foot steps heading her way.

"Umm, hello." Came the masculine voice.

Rin gasped, snapping her guard back up. She quickly turned around only to see someone she was suppose to avoid.

He wash't suppose to be home!

Eyes widen at the sudden appearance of the other.

"What are you doing here? He asked in astonishment.

Can you guess who the voice belongs to? :D
