Chapter 7: An Intruder In The Land

Casper awoke to... snow. Looking around he saw he was no longer in Folklore. The town appeared to be much like Radiam, however, the dialect spoken had a much harsher and more northerly undertone. Also it appeared as if everyone was staring. Casper looked down, fearing he was without cloth. Everything was intact, except for his sword which broke at the hilt. A couple different looking soldiers approached asking his name, and contemplating what to do with the outsider.

Jarl Blagruuf was passing through Helgen when he heard all the commotion. "Throw him im prison unti we can figure this out." Leaning into Casper, "for his protection, and ours. Also keep a watch on the Northern Road, there have been rumors of strange things afoot." The soldiers escorted Casper to the Helgen prison, and set up an extra patrol along the Northern Road.

Skyrim, as Casper learned, was the name of the area he now found himself. The town was known as Helgen, and was controlled by imperial forces. Casper was sort of an oddity, he was wearing what appeared to be old Whiterun Armor, from the days when teh Grey-Mane and Battle-Born families were friends. Fearing he may be a spy, or worse a Storm Cloak, the Imperial captain sent for an enchanter to brew a truth serum.

Word spread around Skyrim that the ghost of a great Dragon Slayer from the days of old had returned. His name was "Casper the Pale" and the legend was long forgotten, except for his being of poor birth and earning the Ranks of Nobility. Walking in a standpoint of fear, Jarl Blagruuf forbade anyone from speaking about or displaying any materials about "Casper the Pale." The enchanter would take a few days to arrive.

Back at the Dark Horse Tavern, the dawn light was flowing in, however it was tinted with a green glow. As Rosie and Ezzy gathered belongings and breakfast for the day, worried travelers murmered about being cut off from Radiam. The Edge of Town and Radiam were cut off by a magical portal. Anyone who tried going into the portal was transported to standing directly in front of the portol, on whichever side they tried entering.
