Disclaimer: I don't own KHR or HNKNA at all
"Tomorrow, I'm going to visit one of the areas..." I muttered to myself staring at the ceiling of my room. Turning my head, I could see the vial that placed me in this situation on my nightstand.
"You know this is all your fault."
Why in the world am I blaming it on an inanimate object?
I placed a hand against my forehead, going over what happened so far.
I'm beginning to wonder if I'm becoming crazy.
Closing my eyes, I drifted into sleep. Only to open them again, and find myself in the dream world.
"Nice to see you again, Tsuna-san." Mukuro waved greeting me like there's no tomorrow at all.
"Right."
Reborn said he's dangerous...but why do I get the feeling he isn't?
"Hm?" Mukuro stared at my face.
"What?" Internally, I hope I didn't flinch from his sudden decision to close the gap between us.
"You know..." Mukuro was going to say something, but stopped himself, "Never mind."
Okay...?
"What's with that look?" Mukuro questioned me, "You don't sound so thrilled as you did yesterday."
Thrilled? Rather I'm terrified of what's going to happen tomorrow.
"Hey, Mukuro," I decided to ask Mukuro a question, "Have you ever stepped outside the dream realm?"
"Well, well...what an interesting question coming from you...then again you are a foreigner so it's expected for you to have such curiosity." Mukuro commented.
Honestly at this point, I'm already peeved by earning the name 'Foreigner'. Then again, I am a being not of this world.
"You could say I did before." He raised his head, looking up.
With a questioning look, I slowly send my focus toward the sky. Doing the same as he did. The once cloud-like appearance sky, had transformed into a starry filled sky.
I felt my mouth gape in surprise, however I faintly remember where I was currently. That this is the dream world. A world that can only be entered through the people sleeping in Wonderland.
If you think about it strongly, the dream can also become a safe haven for anyone. A place where wishes can sometimes become reality, but can only happen within the nonexistent world known as a dream.
Then does this starry sky...is something Mukuro wishes to see?
A sky filled with many stars.
This is something...I never expected Mukuro would want to see.
If he ever stepped outside the dream realm...then would he hope to see that same sky?
"It seems that you're about to wake up." Returning my gaze over to Mukuro, he gave a small wave, "I'll see you next time, Tsuna-san. I had quite a pleasant time talking to you."
By the time I awakened in my room, I sat up on my bed.
"Mukuro."
The grip on my sheets tightened. A swirl of confusion left in my mind.
I can't help it.
Is Mukuro truly someone I shouldn't trust?
Is he an enemy?
Or...an ally?
In the Maze of the Castle of Hearts
"Grr...that jerk..." I mumbled angrily as I marched down the path, "I can't believe it! Reborn ditched me the moment we stepped into the maze..."
Flash Back
"Listen, Dame-Tsuna. No matter what, you must never get lost in this maze." Reborn explained, "There are traps the queen set up in order to prevent intruders from entering the castle this way."
I gulped. Basil said that her abilities are pertaining to poison.
One false step...
I paled.
Then I'll die!
I shook my head.
No! I have to go through this maze! I need to gather all the help I can get here in Wonderland...otherwise I won't be able to see my family anymore.
Suddenly I bonked or rather ran into Reborn's back.
"Ouch!" I muttered, "Reborn, what happened?"
Once I regained focus, the person that was standing in front of me.
The one who was supposed to take me to the Castle of Hearts.
The one who was supposed to be my tutor.
Only an imprint of his shoes left on the grass were there.
He.
He.
He.
Ditched me at the last minute?!
End of Flash Back
I don't know why, but the more I walk through this maze...the more confused I am.
"I'm never going to get to the castle."
I should've asked Basil to come along, but he and Lal Mirch are currently performing their duties as members of CEDEF. Apparently CEDEF was group formed by one of the original guardians of the first foreigner. They act as a group that works under the shadows of the Vongola Family, which is kind of reassuring to know Basil is both a familiar ally and a friend I can talk to. Although I wish he wouldn't regard me as someone with high status, as I said before I'm not the kind of person to be highly respected.
Then again, it's scarier the more I think about the other leaders I saw yesterday.
I just hope I can go home in one piece...
Rustle.
Rustle.
Rustle.
EEK!?
"HIE!" I screeched in bloody horror. As someone practically walked out of the bushes without a care in the world. By that time, I dropped to the floor as I tried to figure out who the heck decided to appear from the bush.
Once I lifted my head to see, I paled.
There standing tall and proud...wearing a sword to his side. An expression of curiosity adorned his face.
No doubt about it.
This person standing before me is...the knight of heart castle. Yamamoto Takeshi.
"Huh?" He paused noticing me on the ground, "Who're you? I don't remember hearing anything about a new role holder."
"S-Sawada...Sawada Tsuna." I hesitantly introduced myself as I slowly got up, "I'm not a role holder, but I believe I'm what you call a foreigner."
"Eh?!" I jumped hearing his sudden astonishment, or rather he sounded happy.
"So you're the foreigner!" I soon found myself overwhelmed by his bright nature, "So the bell chimes that rang yesterday from Clover Tower weren't a lie!"
"Oh and before I forget, my name is Yamamoto Takeshi." He stated as he described who he is to me while shaking my hand, "I'm the knight of hearts castle. Nice meet you Tsuna!"
"Nice to meet you too..." I reluctantly returned his hand shake. I'm surprised. For someone to be well praised by Reborn on having natural instincts as an assassin...I expected a more cold with an instinct to kill anyone they see within their sight kind of person. However Yamamoto Takeshi was the complete opposite, rather he's more oblivious.
"So what brings you here to the Castle of Hearts...actually how in the world did you get past the guards? I'm pretty sure the gates were heavily guarded."
Guards?
"What guards? I don't recall seeing any guards when I came here with Reborn."
"Reborn?" Yamamoto asked, "He came here with you?"
I nodded in confirmation, "Yes, but he kind of left me behind here in the maze. As of now I haven't seen him nor am I sure of whether I'm close to the castle or not."
"I see..." Yamamoto side glanced away. I couldn't help but wonder what in the world Yamamoto was thinking, but I have a slight feeling.
That the lack of guards was due to Reborn.
"In any case...I'm actually here to see the Queen of Hearts, but I kind of got lost." I explained my dilemma, "Do you think you can tell which is the right way to the castle?"
"Why don't I show you then?" Yamamoto offered, "After all it's rude for a knight to not escort a young lady as you."
I blushed hearing his statement, "B-But..."
"Don't worry!" Yamamoto reassured me, "You can trust me!"
"Then, Yamamoto-san."
"Just Yamamoto is fine."
"Er..." He's making it harder for me, "Then...Yamamoto, could you take me to the Queen of Hearts?"
With a bow, Yamamoto smiled, "Of course, Tsuna!"
?
"Tch...that damn sword freak." A certain silver-haired person spatted as he followed the two from the trees. There were many reason as to why this person sounded mad at a particular knight.
One of the reasons was,"Why the hell is he talking to a girl? Better yet, why is this girl even in this part of the maze?"
Another reason was, "What the! How come he got to meet the foreigner first?!"
Finally the last reason that pissed him off the charts was, "You're going the wrong way, fool! That's the way to the fucking Varia!"
That foreigner was this stupid enough to accept the damn sword freak's offer.
An exasperated sigh escaped his mouth, "I'm only doing this for the sake of the game and Aneki."
"Heh...is that so, Gokudera Hayato?"
The said person narrowed his eyes toward the incoming clad in suit and fedora. His white rabbit ears twitched showing signs of Gokudera's annoyance toward the other.
"I could say the same for you, Reborn-san." Gokudera turned to Reborn, "Weren't you the one who knocked out all of the guards in the maze early in the morning before you even took the foreigner here?"
A small chuckle sounded from Reborn, "So what if I did?"
"...You know, Aneki never did forget what you did that day." Gokudera finished his statement off before he left to drag both knight and the foreigner back "She'd be really pissed off if she found out you were the one who knocked out all of the guards as well as ruining her garden."
Reborn's expression of amusement soon formed into a frown, "...Bianchi is still not over that?"
